[redacted]They contacted me yet again after being told NOT to...!! ([redacted]

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint.
Lending Club records indicate [redacted] checked his rates for a personal loan through the Lending Club marketplace on 6/6/2017 via one of our affiliated partner websites. We presented him...

with loan offers for the amount he requested, but he did not proceed forward in the application process.
Loans originated through the Lending Club platform are underwritten and made by [redacted], member [redacted]. We attempted to contact [redacted] by phone on 6/8/2017 to clarify the application process.
Single applicant personal loans through Lending Club do not consider household income. If he would like to re-apply with us, we offer the ability to apply with joint income by selecting our joint application option. The option would allow [redacted] to include a co-borrower’s income and information.
Please note that the pre-screening process and loan application do not affect an applicant’s credit score, because neither action is reported to credit bureaus as a hard credit inquiry.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by [redacted]. To the extent that he has further questions, please have him contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted] Mon-Fri  6am - 5pm PST and Sat 8am -5pm PST.

I don't recommend anybody to get a loan from this place. I recently lost my job due to reducing personnel, I contacted Lending Club to work with them on my payments and they did not give me any help to afford payments, they were not open to find a positive solution to help in this crisis, even that I told them: it is temporary and I am going back to work in 2 months.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thank you to everyone involved that helped resolve this issue. The system works!  Sincerely, [redacted]

Thank you for giving Lending Club the opportunity to respond to [redacted]' Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), consumer credit reporting agencies, such as Transunion and Experian, are...

permitted to include a consumer's name on lists used by creditors or insurers to make firm offers of credit or insurance not initiated by the consumer ("Firm Offers"). Under these same rules, Firm Offers must include instructions for how the consumer may opt-out of receiving future offers. Lending Club received Ms. [redacted]' request to opt out of marketing material on 11/20/2015 via email. We promptly removed the contact information she provided in her email from our marketing list.
Once Lending Club opts out a mailing address, it may take three to five weeks for all postal mail to stop arriving at the stated address. In some instances, there may be marketing materials that were sent prior to our processing of an opt-out request. Lending Club apologizes for the inconvenience we may have caused Ms. [redacted].
If there's another address where Ms. [redacted] has been receiving mail that she also wants us to remove from our list, please have her contact Lending Club.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by Ms. [redacted]. To the extent that Ms. [redacted] has further questions, please have her contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted]@lendingclub.com or phone at XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat 6am-5pm PST.

Thank you for giving Lending Club the opportunity to respond to [redacted]’s Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint.
Lending Club understands [redacted]’s concerns and would like to clear up the pre-approval process. Lending Club uses information provided by the credit bureaus, including credit score, outstanding debt, payment history and recent credit activity, to identify potential borrowers and send preapproved loan offers based on those criteria. In the event Lending Club cannot extend an offer, there are other lending partners we have that may reach out to help meet their financial needs. If [redacted] would no longer like to receive marketing from Lending Club, please have him contact Lending Club and we’ll promptly remove his information from our marketing lists.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by [redacted]. If he has additional questions, please have him contact our member support department directly by email at [redacted] or by phone at [redacted] Mon-Fri 6am-5pm PST and Sat 8am-5pm PST.

Thank you for giving Lending Club the opportunity to respond to Stacey Lewis’ Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint.
LendingClub is an online marketplace connecting borrowers and investors. All personal loans offered through our marketplace are unsecured, fully-amortizing loans that are...

originated and issued by [redacted], member [redacted]. All payments are to be applied first to the payment of all fees, expenses and other amounts due (excluding principal and interest), then to accrued interest, and finally to the outstanding principal balance on the account. While the payment amount remains the same, the amount applied to interest and the amount applied to the principal will change throughout the life of the loan. For a general idea of how much of her payment is going towards principal and interest each month, [redacted] is welcome to use an amortization calculator like the one found at [redacted]
The APR on consumer loans made by [redacted] through LendingClub’s marketplace currently ranges from 5.99% APR to 35.89% APR, depending on the borrower’s credit score, loan amount, loan term, and credit usage history. LendingClub provides applicants with a Borrower Agreement and Truth in Lending (TIL) disclosure prior to loan consummation that contains important information about the loan including the monthly loan payment, Annual Percentage Rate (APR) and payment policies. [redacted] can view all documentation pertaining to her loan through the Loan Documents tab in her LendingClub account. We spoke with [redacted] on 7/28/2017 to apologize for the confusion and further discuss how her payments are applied.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by [redacted]. To the extent that [redacted] has any further questions, please have her contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted] or phone [redacted] Mon-Fri 6am-5pm PST, Sat 8am-5pm PST.

I applied for a loan from the comfort of my home, submitted the required docs and had funding within days. I was able to repay early and the reps made the whole process so easy. Would def do business with this company again.

LendingClub records indicate that [redacted]’s payment due 5/30/2017 was paid on 6/29/2017 and was not reported as late to the credit bureaus. LendingClub has carefully reviewed its reporting of...

[redacted]’s account to the credit bureaus and determined her account is being reported accurately. Additionally, an update to her credit was sent to the bureaus to ensure her account reflected no late payments as of 7/17/2017.
It is LendingClub’s policy to report all account experiences to one or more of the major credit reporting agencies. LendingClub reports both positive and negative payment histories.  Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on may be reflected in a borrower’s credit report. To read more about how Lending Club sets rates and fees, [redacted] can refer here: [redacted]. As part of the application process, Lending Club may also perform income verification to validate the income stated on the loan application. Lending Club requests documents from the applicant to verify their stated annual income. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to [redacted]'s Revdex.com complaint. We understand Ms. [redacted] is disappointed, and we would like to clarify the pre-approval process.
Lending Club uses information...

provided by credit bureaus, including credit score, outstanding debt, payment history, and recent credit activity, to identify potential borrowers and send pre-approved loan offers. At the time of loan application, Lending Club asks the applicant for other important information, such as income and employment status. Because several weeks can pass [redacted] the pre-screening process and the actual application, we may also request updated information from credit bureaus.
All of the information is used to determine if an applicant qualifies for a loan offer at that time. Common reasons for being declined for a loan after receiving a pre-approved offer are that an applicant's current outstanding debt is too high relative to his/her income or that changes have occurred in the applicant's credit report since pre-screening.
Ms. [redacted] can view the specific reasons why her application was declined in her adverse action notice which can be accessed by logging into her Lending Club Account Summary. Please note that the pre-screening process and loan application do not affect an applicant's credit score, because neither action is reported to credit bureaus as a hard credit inquiry.
Loans originated through the Lending Club platform are underwritten and made by WebBank, Salt Lake City, UT, member FDIC. Lending Club delivered the adverse action letter to Ms. [redacted] on behalf of WebBank.
To ensure Ms. [redacted] does not receive any future unwanted marketing from Lending Club, we have complied with her request and removed her contact information from our email and direct mail marketing lists. Ms. [redacted] is eligible to apply again for a loan via Lending Club 30 days after the date of her last application. If there are further questions regarding this matter, please have Ms. [redacted] contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted]@lendingclub.com or phone at XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat 6am-5pm PST.

Thank you for giving Lending Club the opportunity to respond to [redacted] L [redacted]'s Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), consumer credit reporting agencies, such as Transunion and Experian,...

are permitted to include a consumer's name on lists used by creditors or insurers to make firm offers of credit or insurance not initiated by the consumer ("Firm Offers"). Under these same rules, Firm Offers must include instructions for how the consumer may opt-out of receiving future offers. Lending Club direct mail solicitations include a toll-free telephone number, as well as addresses for each of the three major national credit reporting agencies, which consumers can call to opt-out of all Firm Offers. Additionally, the solicitation includes a mailing address and email for consumers to specifically opt-out of communications from Lending Club.
The toll-free number that Ms. [redacted] called, and is referring to in her complaint, is operated by the consumer credit reporting agencies, not Lending Club. The agencies do require the consumer to provide their social security number in order to process the consumer's opt-out request. Lending Club, however, only requires enough information to properly identify the mailing address, e-mail address, or telephone number the consumer wishes to opt-out.
To comply with Ms. [redacted]'s request, Lending Club has removed her name and address from its mailing list. Please note that Ms. [redacted] may continue to receive Firm Offers from other companies unless she contacts the consumer reporting agencies directly.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by Ms. [redacted]. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns, please have her contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted]@lendingclub.com or phone XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat. 6am-5pm PST.

Thank you for giving Lending Club the opportunity to respond to [redacted]'s Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint.
We understand that Mr. [redacted] is disappointed, and we would like to clarify our application process. We consider a...

number of factors when evaluating loan applications. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted]'s application was not a match with the stringent credit criteria that we use to determine eligibility.
As part of the application review, Lending Club follows an income verification process to validate the annual income a potential borrower states on the loan application. Lending Club requested documents from Mr. [redacted] to verify his stated income. After reviewing the documents he provided, Lending Club denied his loan application because the documents did not support and verify the income he stated on his application. Please note that the pre-screening process and loan application do not affect his credit score, because neither action is reported to credit bureaus as a hard credit inquiry.
Mr. [redacted] can access his Account to read more about the factors that led to this decision on the adverse action notice sent to him. Though we are unable to reinstate his loan application, we do understand that financial situations can change so Mr. [redacted] is welcome to reapply for a loan through Lending Club in the future.
To the extent that Mr. [redacted] has further questions, please have him contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted]@lendingclub.com or phone XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat 6am-5pm PST.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/04/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand the stringent criteria that you use for your loans. However if you refer to the phone call that you have recorded in which I spoke with ** and a manager. She herself on the phone said they didn't follow the correct procedures. While my income didn't match it is because you asked for my most recent tax forms. I had not yet filed for 2014 so I sent 2013. In 2013 I was making a significant amount more money than I am making now. You guys also kept asking for my annuity and pension income in which case I mentioned multiple times that I don't have that kind of income. As I spoke with this manager they themselves mentioned that Lending club couldn't verify my income and employment. However, she also mentioned after looking closer that my employment was in fact verified along the way. I just started this job in January and the manager mentioned the person working on my account must have made a mistake because they could have asked me for my last 2 pay stubs to verify income. Instead of taking all the correct actions my loan reviewer cut corners and simply denied the application. I would have been more than happy to submit my 2014 tax return once I had filed it if that would have been preferred. Perhaps, as I mentioned on the phone to the manager, lending club finds it best practice to not approve any loans for anyone that has been at a job for less than a year. If that is the case then they need to mention that information so that people in my position don't spend a month and a lot of time on something like this.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/05/04) */
Thank you for giving Lending Club the opportunity to respond to [redacted]'s Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint.
Our records indicate Mr. [redacted] submitted an application with Lending Club on 3/12/2015. During one of the conversations Mr. [redacted] had with one of our representatives, he disclosed information regarding his employment status to Lending Club. Based on his explanation, Lending Club requested the appropriate documents that would verify the income he stated on his application. After reviewing the documents, Lending Club determined it did not support the income Mr. [redacted] stated on his application and his loan application was denied. Since Lending Club is unable to reinstate an application once it has been declined, we invited Mr. [redacted] to reapply.
Mr. [redacted] has recently submitted a second application with Lending Club. Mr. [redacted] was able to provide further documentation to support the income stated on his application. Due to this new information, Lending Club was able to approve this application. We hope this satisfies Mr. [redacted]'s request for a loan through Lending Club.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by Mr. [redacted]. Please let us know if there are any further questions on this matter. Additional questions may be directed to Lending Club Member Support directly via email [redacted]@lendingclub.com or phone XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat. 6am-5pm PST.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2015/05/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Lending club allowed me to re-apply for a loan and gave me the opportunity to prove my current income this time through requesting a copy of my last two pay stubs. Thank you lending club for being fair in the process and for allowing me to re-apply.

I applied for a $30,000 loan for debt consolidation. During the process of collecting all of the paperwork and statements, etc I was emailed 11 times by LendingClub. ELEVEN TIMES. Each time was an email from them saying "please send in the documents for the next step", etc. I assume this an automatically generated email.

During the application process, I emailed their support department a number of times through both my personal email and through their website regarding an issue with the process (I have direct deposit and don't receive paystubs). I contacted them via email at least 5-6 times during a 2-3 week period. NEVER, NOT ONCE did I receive ANY communication from them (and I still have not). I called them directly on 3 occasions and no one could help me. One person said I couldn't submit a "screenshot" from the deposits from the CFO of our company instead of a paystub. One said the reviewers were waiting for a year-to-date salary report (which was never asked for). One said everything looked good but it may take another 7-10 days to approve. Then when I looked it up on their website, they kept deleting the fact that I had submitted ANY pay documents at all and kept asking for 2 paystubs. INFURIATING. I finally had our CFO print out a paystub for the next two pay periods (which further delayed my application).
After submitting the CFO procured documents, I was approved and had to wait a few more days for the money to arrive in my account. Minus $1,200. YEAH. They kept $1,200 of the $30,000 I requested as their own service fee! Apparently the interest rate isn't enough. And nowhere in the application process did they say they wouldnt' give me the amount I had requested. I'm sure it's probably buried in some document somewhere, but they certainly do NOT make it obvious to their customers. Keep that in mind if you are thinking about borowing money from them. You have to overestimate your need because they are going to skim something off the top.

When it comes down to it, knowing what I know now about their complete lack of interest in customer service and skimming of the loan amounts, I would likely go with one of the many other consolidation companies.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to [redacted]‘s Revdex.com complaint.
Lending Club records indicate that upon notification of [redacted]’s claim, our Fraud team initiated an investigation into her allegation of fraud. A Lending Club Fraud investigator emailed...

and mailed a letter to the contact information she provided advising her to call us within 30 days to further discuss her claim.  After speaking with [redacted] and reviewing the information she provided, Lending Club declined her fraud claim and closed the investigation.  An email was sent to her address on file on 5/9/2017 explaining our determination.

originated and issued by WebBank, member FDIC.  Lending Club does not make, originate or issue any loans, and the loans through our marketplace are subject to a one-time lender origination fee.  Origination fees currently range between 1% and 6% of the loan amount, depending on the borrower’s loan grade (credit rating). The origination fee is considered a finance charge and is included, along with interest, in the calculation of the loan’s APR. The origination fee is paid directly from the proceeds of the loan so the net deposit to the borrower is the amount available for their use.
[redacted] began her application over the phone on 10/21/2016. At that time, we advised that the offers presented included a one-time origination fee, which is factored into the APR. [redacted] acknowledged this and agreed to proceed with the application.
Prior to an applicant’s acceptance of a loan offer, the applicant is presented with an estimated Truth in Lending (TIL) disclosure that provides important terms of the loan including the APR, finance charge, and the one-time origination fee. Any origination fee in excess of 5% is refundable on a prorated basis over the term of the loan if the loan is paid in full prior to its maturity date.
On 11/02/2016, [redacted] contacted Lending Club via phone to request for her payoff balance. Upon refuting the balance due to the origination fee, Lending Club offered to cancel [redacted]’s loan on 11/3/2016. [redacted] advised she would like to keep the loan and her loan is now paid in full. As [redacted]’s origination fee was in excess of 5%, she received a refund of $147.51.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by [redacted]. To the extent that [redacted] has any further questions, please have her contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted] or phone [redacted] Mon-Fri 6am-5pm PST.

I applied for a personal loan with Lending Club last week and I got a very quick response. The online application was short and simple and I didnt even have to speak to anyone. They email you all your communication and they truly do HELP! I got an email requesting just a couple of documents such as 2 recent paystubs and 2014 W-2 and THATS IT! No other financials were requested. The truth is if your FICO is 600+ you have no reason to be denied. They are very open about this.

I just checked my bank account today and my personal loan of $16,000 was just credited to my account! I am so happy now I will be able to pay off my credit cards all which have a seperate high interest rate and focus on 1 monthly installment. Whats best is I know when I will pay this off because I chose the length which is only 3 years and then I am debt free!! Thank you Lending Club, you guys are LEGIT.

This transaction was top rate! Everything was handled on-line. No phone conversations, no taking time off work to go to the bank, no hassles. I submitted the requested documents electronically and received a conformation e-mail that the loan was funded within three days. After that, the funds were deposited in my account within 72 hours. The monthly payments are drafted from my account and the entire process has been a joy!!! I would highly recommend this service to anyone!!!

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint from Mr. Bradley [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] raises concerns about his loan application with Lending Club. His concerns center on the loan approval and document submission processes....

Mr. [redacted] was referred to Lending Club through the Credit Karma website. Lending Club uses information provided by credit bureaus, including credit score, outstanding debt, payment history, and recent credit activity, to provide loan offers. We also request additional information, such as income and employment status. Both sets of information are used to determine if an applicant qualifies for a loan through Lending Club. Mr. [redacted] was presented with loan offers on 1/7/15. He had not yet been approved for a Lending Club loan.

As part of reviewing a loan application, Lending Club requests documentation in order to verify the information stated on the application. This documentation can be provided by an applicant in a number of ways including, but not limited to, electronic upload. Lending Club received and reviewed all documents submitted by Mr. [redacted]. Lending Club did not lose any of the applicant's documents; however, the documentation was incomplete as submitted and more information was needed. Mr. [redacted] did not provide the additional information needed to complete the loan review, so his loan could not be approved.
Mr. [redacted] can access his Lending Club account to read more about the factors that led to this decision on the adverse action notice. He may reapply for a loan through Lending Club in the future.
We thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint brought to your attention by Mr. [redacted]. To the extent Mr. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns, please have him contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted]@lendingclub.com or phone XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat. 6am-5pm PST.
