Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/05/27) */ Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to [redacted] ***'s Revdex.com complaintWe understand Mr [redacted] is disappointed, and we would like to address his concerns regarding the loan application process and how it affects his credit Checking rates for a loan through the Lending Club marketplace does not impact a consumer's credit score because it results in a "soft" credit inquiryUnlike a "hard" credit inquiry, which may be visible to future creditors, a soft inquiry does not negatively impact a consumer's credit score and can only be seen by the owner of the credit profile In order to determine potential loan offers and rates, Lending Club must be able to access an applicant's credit profileTherefore, every consumer requesting a loan through Lending Club must authorize WebBank and Lending Club to obtain consumer reports and related information from one or more consumer reporting agencies, such as TransUnion, Experian, and EquifaxLending Club will not process a loan request without the [redacted] 's full authorization When Mr [redacted] submitted an online loan request through Lending Club, he agreed to Lending Club's Terms of Use (https://www.lendingclub.com/info/terms-of-use.action) and Credit Profile Authorization (https://www.lendingclub.com/info/borrower-credit-profile-authorization.action) through electronic signatureThis allowed Lending Club to obtain his credit profile, which resulted in the soft credit inquiryAgain, this inquiry will not have a negative effect on his credit Loans originated through the Lending Club platform are underwritten and made by WebBank, a Utah-chartered Industrial Bank, member FDIC We attempted to reach out directly to Mr [redacted] to explain the above informationTo the extent that Mr [redacted] has further questions, please have him contact Lending Club directly by email at [redacted] @lendingclub.com or phone XXX-XXX-XXXX Mon-Sat 6am-5pm PST

Poor experience! They responded to my application saying my request had been funded Then they asked for a copy of my tax return, pay stubs and a release to get infofrom the IRS I provided all of that and they then told me they couldn't fund my loan because my income wasn't sufficient enough! What? The documentation I provided supported the income I stated on my application that they told me was funded I then applied to [redacted] and I was approved and funded within days Look at their response to negative reviews It's the same canned response you get when they deny you
