The service I received from Guruaid was excellent and would recommend them to others

I felt very confident about the service rendered to my computer today by Tapojit S**. He was thorough, yet quick, very polite, very accommodating to my interruptions and questions, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I was glad to have received his call.

I called with a question/problem and the people at this service really helped me fix this problem.

[redacted] service providers are very helpful and polite. The service seems very thorough and complete. Be sure you have a few hours to devote to your computer being serviced. Since the [redacted] representatives are so thorough, it does take some time. All in all, I am very happy with this service.

Review: I signed up with Guruaid in July...everyone I spoke with was in India, so why they have a US address in unknown to me, other than they operated through a scam in the US. Everytime I called them I was told I had a "critical Trojan virus", once with a kid. They have totally messed up my computer by disabling the Administrator, which the supervisor said the tech should never have removed. I was told I would have to repurchase [redacted] 2013 and who knows what else, due to the tech not answering my questions. The supervisor stated it wasn't their fault. They worked on the computer 2 days prior to remove this virus, which now I believe was not there, and today tell me my hardrive crashed. I called [redacted], which they told me I could not do, because they don't take calls, and [redacted]. My computer is so messed up from this Guruaid, it now needs to go to factory reinstallation. I need to wait for the [redacted] discs which will be here in 2 days to complete this horrific trauma they have caused me. I was on the phone for 6 hrs. tonight between all of the companies, mostly with Guruaid. Here I am believing everything they tell me because I am not too good with computers. I have been scammed and taken advantage of and want my money back and be compensated for all the time my computer has been down since July when I got them. Many hours have been spent on the phone with them, telling me "everything is handled" to find out the next day or two I have worse problems. So you have to keep calling back for them to remotely work on your computer, while you have to be on the phone the entire time.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of my subscription and would like to be compensated for all the hours I spent on the phone with them and all the other companies to fix a problem they created in the first place. They are also responsible for [redacted].

Ms. [redacted] contacted us multiple times over six months for various issues after subscribing with us in July 2013. We addressed Ms. [redacted]’s various issues like [redacted] anti-virus, clean-up& tune-up, [redacted] issue & pop-up error, [redacted]r not responding, etc.. Each time Ms. [redacted] contacted GuruAid Ms. [redacted]'s issues were addressed.

When Ms. [redacted] contacted us on January 27, 2014 she needed assistance to update [redacted] on her computer. While GuruAid technician was assisting Ms. [redacted] with her primary concern, Ms. [redacted] also stated that she needed assistance with the Administrator account on her computer, which was not functioning appropriately. From technical perspective there are always multiple ways to get one particular issue resolved. This is what exactly happened in this case. In order to fix this issue there are 2 ways either a technician can restore or try [redacted]) or tech can first check if the Admin account is disabled. In a case where it is disabled then he can run a command {"net user administrator /active:Yes } to get it back on. The technician assisted Ms. [redacted] in getting the issue fixed by using first method i.e. by informing Ms. [redacted] to factory restore and OSRI. However, this method is time consuming and also data has to be backed up. This time consuming process made Ms. [redacted] frustrated. The Technician could have resolved Ms. [redacted]'s issue by using the second method, which I would have been less time consuming. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

The Technician requested the Operating disc so he could reinstall the operating system and reset the forgotten administrator password. Over six months we had fixed muliple isuses on Ms. [redacted]'s computer, the last issue she had was not fixed due to support limitation because it was inconvenient for Ms. [redacted]. If she had arranged the required operating disc we would have been able to fix the issue to her satifacation.

That is a totally incorrect statement as to what I said to the technician. I do not own the operating disc for Windows 8 and was told by him I would have to purchase it. Frustration after being on the phone so long trying to explain this to the technician is quite normal as I did now have the disc and could not make him understand that. The computer came with it installed. Yes they have fixed multiple issues on the computer, which is what I paid for due to not being computer literate. Come to find out from [redacted] I have lifetime technical support, which the technician and his supervisor told me I was not going to be able to get the Windows 8 from [redacted], which I did after a quick phone call to them and also the [redacted]. They installed everything due to the computer being totally unusable after the technician at Guruaid worked on it. I was told the Operating System was fine immediately after the call from [redacted] and [redacted]. Guruaid told me it was not there anymore. So right now I will just end it, but to let you know this service from Guruaid, I thought was ok, only to have issue after issue after they worked on it and had to keep calling them back.

The service was not quick but was good. Very polite people on their side. Allow at least an hour. Why my computer was not updating, I don't know

Today received a great service from [redacted]. The engineer was thorough and very helpful in resolving my issue - installing [redacted]. My laptop required quite a lot of maintenance and removal of viruses/malware. A great service and would highly recommend.

I was very pleased with the service I received today. I will follow your suggestion in the future and call I within 50 or 60 days for follow up service.

In having issues with my PC, I contacted GuruAid for assistance in resolving my issues. I had a very pleasant tech who resolved my issues with no problem. I would recommend GuruAid to anyone in need of this company's services.

Review: I was having problems with viruses on my computer, I contacted Guruaid.comThey said they would resolve my issue's for a $170.00 American which would include a one year service. I agreed and paid with my visa. They spent over an hour cleaning my computer, during this time they continued to try to sell me an extended package for 5 years for $500.00 or for another $130.00 I could upgrade to a class 1 technician. I told him I want to see how it works out for the first year and decide after that. This only seemed to make him more aggressive in his attempt to sell. After he was done with the computer he told me it was fixed and if I had any problems to phone back and they would fix them. Before we were done they wanted to know if my problems were resolved to my satisfaction, taking his word that it was fixed I typed in yes. I logged off on my computer and didn't use it for a couple of days. When I logged back on the problem were back but worse so I phoned them and let them remotely try to fix my problems again. And again they said it was repaired I logged off and logged back on to see if it was ok, what I got was a blue screen telling me that windows were off line because my computer was about to crash and to try and restart it. I did try a restart and the same screen came up. In the end I was forced to reset my computer to the original factory settings causing me to lose all of our vacation pictures videos music everything that was on it. Guruaid will not return my money so I looked them up at the Revdex.com to my surprise they are actually a telemarketing firm and not computer experts as they claimed they only offer it as service. Looking back it now it explains the constant pressure to get more of my money selling me a BILL OF GOODS. My advice to everyone is don't let these people into your computer it is my opinion they gave me more problem then they fixed in order to sell me a better tech. or a larger package it is my opinion THEY CAUSE PROBLEMS AND TRY AND SELL YOU THE SOULUTION.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back and have my complaint posted so others don't fall for there traps.

Lester Inc or their subsidiary companies call my personal cell phone at least once a week for the purposes of fund raising or other reasons even though my number is on the national Do Not Call registry. I am requesting this company to cease and desist with these annoying and harassing spam phone calls.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Lester Inc and any subsidiary companies remove my phone number from their call list and do not call my cell phone any more.

This was my second visit to [redacted]. As was the case with the first visit, everyone was wonderful to me. I am elderly and don't know much about computers. I had trouble with Ask taking over EVERYTHING on my computer, then, today, I got a [redacted] detected notification and was kicked out of my e-mail provider. I have found that the Techs are very knowledgeable and considerate. I will buy the yearly program as soon as possible.
