Lifelock is a total ripoffI have been paying them over $50/month ($2400+ in total) for my wife and I for almost four years nowI received an email alert on 12/24/asking if I had applied for a discover card which I had notI immediately went to the website as directed and answered some basic questions, ie, did you apply for this card or not, have you applied for a new loan, co-signed for anyone, etcThe answer to all their questions was NOThen I get a follemail with a case # asking me to answer the same dumb questionsI do and wait until after xmas weekend on 12/27/to call to find out what my next step isThey tell me that they are still waiting for me to answer the same dumb questionsI tell them that I have already done this twice and verbally answer the same questions to the representative Then I asked when I should hear back from them and she says daysWhat ? She says that they are backup upI asked her if I should contact Discover myself and she says that I can if I want I call discover and they confirm that someone had my social and tried to open a card and the application was declined for some reasonShe noted all of this and suggested that I contact Equifax and have a “fraud alert” placed on my accountI do all of this None of this was suggested by Lifelock and it is now 1/9/and I am still waiting for them to call me backAs part of all of I this reviewed all my accounts and I noticed two bogus charges on my Chase Visa that happened at the same time that were not mine, so I called Chase and had them re-issue me a new card I am just waiting to have Lifelock call me to say that they cannot charge my old card number anymore at which time I am going to tell them to stuff it I also found out Equifax supplies the same service (which I am now using) at under half the cost

I sign up for lifelock after finding out of fraud with my credit was not satisfied with the service after two inquired went unnoticed with my account, my bank information needed update so I didn't up date the info they call everyday trying for me to renew my payment info cellphone email, I didn't do it, but after all their attempt lifelock used my personal information that they have and went in my account and steal my money! after contacting them, asking for my money to be return to my account they only could return part of one months that they take from me and the two months that they take payment for May and May they will not return, becaused I didn't cancel service! even though they used my personal information to get funds from my account thats not authorized by me! I will never allowed anyone to have my iformation like this ever again from now on credit cards payment because voltures like this are exactly what you need to run from anything you do use credit cards you are not protected by your bank when you used your visa debit card for anything online, the guy had a nice smile on his face over the phone telling me my bank approve the charges! even though your bank card expiries it still can be used by these merchant, so if you are not happy with a company always cancel service with them there is a loophole around everything in America for the rich cooperations crooks!

Please read [redacted] *9-26-review, I just experienced horrible customer serviceI originally called to renew asked about any discounts like Aaa she said I can give you 20% but I need your [redacted] number give it to her she said I'm having problems putting the discount and puts me on hold and then said I can give you a discount but it's a different discount but it's only 15% I said let me call you back and I'll call [redacted] check on my membership numberI called [redacted] number the same and called my flight back then they told me my subscription is active I just paid, I said I didn't authorize any payment and she told me I upgraded my plan which was considerably more than my original plan I asked her what's the difference she couldn't really tell me that I asked for a transaction confirmation number she said she couldn't give me one and the numbers she was giving me were constantly different then I got passed onto two different supervisors and said all I want is a transaction number you can't give me a transaction number I want to cancel the credit card payment The supervisor said that he would have to cancel my membership and then that would trigger a refund per their antiquated billing system I said that was absurd as I am in finance department of a large corporation for over years and have experience with transactionsI said I will review the different plan that I didn't originally authorize and call you back but my first thought was what this [redacted] comment was that these people have all my information and are quite capable of doing considerable home tonight finances and after the last supervisor said he will definitely put extremely detailed notations on my account and said I agreed to the original transaction I said I have lost all faith and confidence in this company's ability to handle my financial security very scary I can see where they would jeopardize in order to gain the business back very unhappyAnd on top of not being happy they process the payment that I didn't authorize and said they were unable to reverse the transaction

I quit and shutdown my LifeLock acccount yesterday, Sept I had my son and myself on this service and when I no longer needed to protect him I had the account reduced to only cover me Now, that should change $+ $= $per month billing down to $per month They did not adjust this and I complained last month and they did it again this month The service gal lied straight up, saying there are two active accounts but I took a screen shot as evidence, showing only one I CANNOT trust them, I think they may be OVERBILLING 100,accounts or more and believe investigation by new media and government agencies and individuals who can rally billing problem attorneys for a class action suit needs to be in place They DO NOT LISTEN to reduce or remove an account -- their tactics are so like companies who never let you delete your account or data I sent a hand written letter, per their orders, to [redacted] ** have my data shredded Really, a suite? Seriously, do they even know what data shredding means? I DO NOT TRUST THEM if they cannot even get a simple billing program to work -- or -- they are intentionally allowing the over billing -- the government agencies have to investigate this

LifeLock is a scam! You pay a monthly fee to have your personal information monitored and if there is suspicious activity you are supposed to be notified ASAPThis is the service they advertise which is a lie I had LifeLock for three years and had my identity compromised twice with someone opening two different credit cards from two different companies at different timesThey failed to contact me, they failed to let me knowWhen I told them about what happened they told me they can't monitor everything which was complete BS considering credit card theft and hard credit inquiries show up pretty fastIt made me wonder what I'm even paying for! When I tried to cancel my membership the first time they talked me out of it and agreed to lower my monthly feeSo I decided to keep itThe second time I tried to cancel during November they talked me out of it and argued with me for about minutes about why I need to keep themThey told me that during the holiday season I'll be at greatest riskSo I just agreed to keep it a little longerThe third time I tried to cancel they made me go through a series of security questions transferred me to two different peopleOnce I got to who I needed to speak to they told me their systems were down and that I needed to call back in an hourI asked if their systems were down how did they have access to all of my security questions and why didn't the first person tell me that before transferring meThe woman on the phone said I don't know and she hung up on meSo un professional! I had to call back and go through all of the questions again and be transferred and really be upset for them to finally cancel my subscription I use Credit Karma now for free and they do a great job monitoring any suspicious activity! Please do not use LifeLock they are horrible on many levels

RE: Complaint ID#: [redacted] Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant:Mr [redacted] originally enrolled with LifeLock Ultimate service on September 25, Mr [redacted] called in on April 9, and was not satisfied with the service provided and requested the cancellation of his accountThe account was cancelled then reinstated per Mr [redacted] request I spoke to Mr [redacted] on May 5, and advised we have a large number of companies in our network, not all merchants participate and on occasion an application may be submitted by a lender or service provider that does not fall within our network.I also advised that depending on a lender or service provider's internal processing procedures an application made within our network may not result in an alert or may result in a delayed alert notification.Mr [redacted] was satisfied with the response and has chosen to remain an active LifeLock memberWe hope this resolves the matter to the satisfaction of your office.Sincerely, [redacted] Member Services ManagerLifeLock, Inc

I am not [redacted] ? I want Lifelock to quit sending junk advertisements to my e.mail

I currently am a Lifelock member, but planning to Cancel my membership ASAPI've been with them a year, bought a new car and no notification from LifelockRecently there was a major drop in my Credit ScoreCalled Lifelock they told me they couldnt tell me anything about the major drop in the score, but as far as they could see from their end there was nothing wrongI got my free annual free credit report and there was a wirless service account that I did not open that had gone into collectionsTold Lifelock about it and they told me they couldn't help me, I would have to contact the credit bureaus myself to resolve the issueIn short as a victim of Identity theft I feel that they have never once done anything to protect my identity and even when I found an issue I was responsible for fixing the issue myselfSo what is the point of me paying them monthly? It truly is a waste of moneyAll Lifelock could tell me is that what ever happen is not in their network so they couldn't catch it, so my question is what the heck is their network obviously it seem like its a network that catches nothing
