On a $Loan amount they charge interest rate of 138-200%!! I don't care how badly you need money right now, DO NOT use LoanMe!! They will rip you in half!

I called for a modification because of a hardshipthey had agree to lower the payment to if I pay that amount before the 15th of May, which I did., so today I found out that no paper work was sent to meand another was taken from my account without any verbal or written authorizationthis is illegalthe original payment was the person I spoke to was celia..she never responded to my call when I left her voice mailthis is example of fraud and unfair business practice and now I have damages due to over drawn account because I was unemployedi don't recomend doing business with this establishment as other creditors obtain verbal and or written authorization before drafting money from your account please advise as to how to proceed further as to avoid having anyone else do business with this establishment to avoid loan me from stealing money from other people...thank you

LoanMe, Inc., (“LoanMe”) is in receipt of the consumer’s above-referenced complaint, and we welcome this opportunity to respond to help clarify and resolve the matter. Please allow this to serve as our formal response LoanMe’s records indicate that our customer entered into an
unsecured consumer installment loan with LoanMe on January 18, in the amount of $3,100.00, less a $origination fee. During her conversations with a LoanMe loan agent prior to funding, our customer was informed of the interest rate, Annual Percentage rate (“APR”), payments, the total finance charges, and the payment amounts and scheduled due datesOur customer agreed to the terms as explained by the agent, and indicated that she did not have any questions. At no time during her application for the loan, and prior to funding, was payment with a credit card discussed with an agent as stated in her complaint In compliance with the Truth in Lending Act (“TILA”), LoanMe’s Promissory Note and Disclosure Statement (“Note”) properly displayed the loan terms and provided the required disclosures to our customer, including the interest rate, the APR, the Finance Charge, and the repayment schedule of months. In addition, the terms of the Note stated that interest is calculated on a 360/simple interest basis. The Note also indicated that the loan could be paid in part or full at any time without incurring a prepayment penalty. Nowhere in the Note that our customer signed did it indicate that payments could be made via a credit card during the life of the loan, and furthermore the Note included our customer’s election to have the monthly payments debited from her bank account via ACH drafts each monthBy signing the Note, our customer certified that she understood and agreed to be bound by its terms The terms were again communicated to our customer during a “welcome” call on January 21, after the loan was funded, and our customer indicated she understood and did not have any questions or concerns at that timeLoanMe takes great care in disclosing required loan terms to applicants, including taking numerous steps to ensure that the consumer understands and consents to the loan terms before signing, and prior to the loan being fundedBased on our records, we are confident that our customer was fully apprised of and agreed to the loan terms, including the fact that her payments would be debited from her bank account Our customer’s complaint indicates that our website had shown that payments by credit card were still accepted, when in fact we could no longer process themWe offer our sincerest apology for the confusion, and it was not our intention to mislead our customer in any wayUnfortunately, when LoanMe discontinued being able to process credit card payments, there was a timing issue regarding when the change to our website could be implementedWe have since updated the website, so that it is clearer for customers going forward Although LoanMe no longer has the ability to process a credit card payment directly, our customer may possibly still be able to pay the loan with her credit cardIf this is our customer’s desire, we urge our customer to contact her credit card company to discuss the possibility of using of a convenience check or cash advanceLoanMe accepts both forms of paymentPlease note that cash advances and convenience checks are subject to the applicable lender’s terms and conditions, and our customer should research this with her credit card issuer directly We understand that our customer’s circumstances may have changed, and we would like to explain that LoanMe offers several assistance programs for customers experiencing unforeseen hardshipsIf our customer is experiencing a hardship, we encourage her to contact LoanMe directly at ***, and we will do our best to reach the most suitable arrangement based on her current financial situation. In closing, we would like to thank you for this opportunity to respond, and hope that we have helped to clarify the matter regarding the statements made in our customer’s complaint

I called loan me on 1/7/to get a payoff for my loan last time I had it check was on 1/6/it was so I had a check in that amount when I called them they told me my loan went up to in one day then I was told that it would go up every day 110% I might understand if it went up every month maybe but every day THAT is really BAD this company has to be ran by crooks they need to be STOPI will be contacting my government about this

So, I went to apply online, then received an email from Claire Roberts and Sam Oum, indicating that I call to applyI never did
So, I went to check the status of my application and it said I'd already taken a loan outMind you, I never even followed upCurious about this "loan", I called the center, and spoke with Peter who told me I called in on 11/at 8:12pm and spoke with a guy named CaesarHe got angry and cut me off each time I spokeI told him I was finished with him and the convo and hung upHe proceeded to call my phone and insisted I speak with Caesar
From there, it was an endless cycleNEVER apply with these guysPeter kept saying "we're on tv" like seriously?
I am so over them!

A horrible companyI consolidated my debt through a debt relief companyThey at some point filed a small claims case after refusing to negotiate or just set up paymentsThe case was servedThen settled the following MondayI made my first payment according to the settlementThey then still went into court unbeknownst to me after having settled and got a default judgmentThey had already received their first payment! Very unethicalStay away from this companyI’m working now to get the judgment vacated based on their unethical conduct I wouldn’t even give them one star!

I was in a spot were I had to help out for my father's funeral expenses when my father passed away early FebruaryI was a bit desperate and in a bad state of mindI applied for a loan and got approved for $Little did I know that the APR is off the roofThey told me no pre-payment penalty and giving me years to pay it offI thought it was too good but with my situation I went and go with itMy first months of automated payment came out of my account, and I was gladly to do but when I looked at my loan balance it was still the same amount that I had borrowed$for a month payment for a $loanI just paid it off with a pay-off balance of $which is still more than the loani just threw $out in the trashThis company shouldn't be in business ripping off peopleNot fairNeeds to be looked into itScam companystay away from this place

I took out an online loan in the amount of $ on 12/4/I have since paid a total of $1980.93-with monthly payments of $(and still due)When speaking to the rep on the phone I was advised the interest rate was 110%In later review of the loan docs I am finding that is an annual percentage and the total amount paid back ends up to be $42132.85, this is obviously not what I thought I was in forWould this not be considered usurous especially in the state of CAI cannot pay $42k and not sure how to proceed

Being charged outrageous interest on a loan after sending a payoff check

I got a loan thru loanme.com After receiving the loan I was required to make my first payment by February 1st I called loanme.com and made my first payment on January 19th, in the amount of Loanme.com then took another payment of on February 1st So basically they took the money out of my account even though I submitted my first payment of on January 19th I have outstanding checks that are going to be returned because of loanme.com's accounting mistake They then proceed to tell me that I needed to provide proof that the payment was taken out of my account I should not have to do this they should have record of my payment on my account and should not have taken a duplicate payment on February 1st This has put me in a bad situation Loanme.com then decides not to immediately refund the duplicate payment and asked me to come up with all the information in regards to the payment This in unethical on so many levels Not only is loanme.com

I had a loan with Loan me for the amount of $3,USD and I was paying on time, one month a was late on my payment and Loan Me sold my loan to a third party when the loan had more payments left for USD now aparently I owe the original amountI find this absurd, I contacted Loan me to tell them that I would pay the resting amount but very negative and firm on their stand said no

I need extra money, and my credit scores weren't that greatI went online and found this loan company LoanMeIt was the biggest mistake that I have ever madeI took out the loan in July It was for $My payments started at $a monthThen I could no longer afford that amount, so I started paying $272, As of today, November 2018, after two years, the principal on this loan is $2,I called to get a pay off amount today for Monday, and I was told that the pay off would be $2,I asked them how could this beI did not understand anything the guy saidI told him that this has to be unethical and illegal and hung upI do not understand how could have a loan that I got in July for $would have a payoff of $in November when I have been making payments of originally $and now $I know that I should never use companies like this, but this has to be illegalThe way they are doing this loan, it would take forever to pay offAlso, a

Being charged outrageous interest on a loan after sending a payoff check

This has to be the WORST company everHonestly I cannot understand how they have received a A+ rating, they must have connections on the insideNo one in customer service seems to know the process when you want to payoff your loan, when you ask a simple question you are given several different answers from the customer service rep to their supervisorsI won't be surprised when they are slapped with class action suit

Complete SCAM artists!! They charge 180% interest so even though I pay $a month, only CENTS goes towards the principal amountAnd they don't let you borrow less than $so you're literally screwedThen, they posted an unauthorized charge of $to my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! Since I didn't have that money in my bank acct (obviously, thats why I'm borrowing) the bank returned the $and LoanMe charged a return payment fee, they are CRIMINALS and it's even illegal to charge 180% interestI'm getting a lawyer now and am taking them down!!!!

Bad credit OK?! I contacted them to get a small loan and after they ran my credit and then informed me I wasn't eligibleI don't understand because the commercial clearly states "bad credit is ok"Well, it's not true apparentlyI just wanted to let everyone who wants to apply they DO check your credit and it DOES matter,

I just spoke with the California Department of Business Oversight and the LoanMe people are within their rights according to this:
"Finance lenders and brokers, by number of licensees and dollars of loans originated, is the largest group of financial service providers regulated by the DepartmentA finance lender is defined in the law as "any person who is engaged in the business of making consumer loans or making commercial loans." A finance lenders license provides the licensee with an exemption from the usury provision of the California Constitution." Below is a link to the website
http://www.dbo.ca.gov/Licensees/Finance_Lenders/About.asp
This explains a lot They don't call me any longer to collect, and I don't allow them to just take the money from my bank They hope I'll default I mentioned to one of their agents about "usry laws" this caused a level of defensiveness that rivals the Repubs and ObamacareThis also sparked them sending me multiple email, and blowing up my phone trying to reach me The following month when I confronted them about NOT calling me to collect, she told me their "system said my phone was disconnected" citing times of contact as 9:and 9: Yeah right! I just pay online now and follow up with a phone call to be sure they got the money They don't provide a receipt and I note it on my bank statement
If you can get a personal loan to pay these people back ASAP While what they're doing isn't illegal it should be
