Review: I mailed this company [redacted] in the amount of $2854.39 to pay off remainder of my auto loan. I have confirmed via [redacted] that it was delivered at the company. The company states that it has not been received and cannot find it. They are now attempting collections, added fee's inclusive of me needing to cancel and reissue the cashier's check. Customer service is incredibly poor, borderline nasty. Research on the internet about the company confirms this is a usual business practice of this company. Below is the information from [redacted]. I want the company to locate the original cashier check. [redacted]Date & Time Status of Item Location October 1, 2014 , 6:12 am Delivered ANAHEIM, CA [redacted] Your item was delivered at 6:12 am on October 1, 2014 in ANAHEIM, CA [redacted]Thank you in advance.[redacted]Desired Settlement: If it cannot be located due to what is their negligence I want the fee's for the check reissue deducted from the $2854.39 as payoff, I do not want any indication on my credit report that this loan is late as all delays from 10/1/2014 are on Lobel's part and I want my title released asap. Additionally, I am a veteran that is 100% [redacted] disabled and this incident is causing me anger and high anxiety - if the matter drags out or causes additional issues in my disability I will want punitive damages

Management has reviewed the customer’s complaint in detail. The tracking information provided by the customer indicates that a package was delivered directly to our PO Box located at and maintained by the United States Post Office location in Anaheim on 10-1-14. Our office does not dispute that the customer issued correspondence and/or payment as the tracking information reflects a package was sent but, maintains that we did not receive any correspondence or a cashier’s check and were therefore unable to credit the account without receipt of the actual monies. Nonetheless, as a courtesy to the customer, our office will honor the payoff of $2854.39. As a final payment of $2925.28 was received on 10-27-14 and a refund of $22.42 was already issued to the customer, a secondary refund of $48.47 will be issued to the customer and mailed to the address on file. As the final payment was issued by the customer’s automobile insurance company as a result of an insurance claim, the title was released directly to their office. Any negative remarks reported to credit bureaus will be removed and reported accordingly. We want to assure the customer that our office posts any and all monies physically received accordingly, either the same day or the following business day if the payment is received after processing hours. We apologize for any inconvenience the customer experienced as a result and hope he understands that the actions of our office were not that of a malicious intent.

Review: I purchased a car thru A &A Auto in Colorado in May 2014. The vehicle was financed thru lobel financial. Insurance papers were provided to both the dealer and finance company. Recently I received a bill stating that I owe 356.53 because I failed to provide proof and declaration of insurance. Today I received another bill stating I owe 426.06 for once again failing to provide proof and declaration of insurance. I called their customer service number [redacted] on July 23, 2014 and again on July 31, 2014 to verify receipt of the numerous faxes sent and email sent from me and my insurance agent. I was told by various representatives like [redacted] in accounting, [redacted] and others that the faxes have not been received. The only customer service rep that was very helpful was Maritza although she too stated the paperwork has not been received. If I did not have insurance I would not have been able to register my car nor would I have been able to keep the car. What it appears like is Lobel is deliberately taking their time in updating their database with correct information. As a result, my payments are escalating monthly and according to the various reviews I've read, this how Lobel repos a car for which one is liable until paid off. In my opinion this is a serious scam. Most importantly, the various fax numbers in Lobel and their employees allege they have no idea where certain fax numbers belong to nor the people who receive them whether by fax or email such as in the case of [redacted] who received an email from me with copies of proof of insurance as well as the declaration. I am concerned that they will attempt to repo my car based on false and misleading billing and collection info. Lobel has also failed to give me an itemized statement of payments and balance due.Desired Settlement: Record to reflect proof of and declaration of insurance......statement of account reflecting payments and balances......billing information corrected to reflect the monthly payment of $286.84as it should be........and a letter of acknowledgement and apology with an explanation as well as specific acknowledgement and receipt of proof of and declaration of insurance.........a valid contact number, name and fax number of an individual that I could contact when I have concerns.

Lobel Financial utilizes the services of a third party insurance document company to receive and process all notifications of insurance coverage. Upon receipt of the customer’s complaint our office directly contacted the customer’s insurance company. We have since received all necessary documentation confirming valid coverage through 7-3-15 and made the necessary adjustments to the customer’s account. While our records do not indicate a request for a payment history statement prior to his Revdex.com complaint, our office will gladly generate and mail to the address on file. We apologize for any inconvenience the customer experienced in his attempts to provide evidence of insurance to our office and will look into the current process to determine and seek resolution to any issues and ensure the needs of our customers are being met.

Review: On 2012 I bought a 2005 Chevy Silverado and Lobel financial offer me a loan so I accept it. Than the dealer gave me a phone number so I have to call this number and talk to [redacted], with Lobel Financial so when I called this men he told me all about the loan, when is the payment due every month but he also told me about a program they offer, about if one day I don't have money to make my payment, only once in the whole time of my contract I will be able to send one payment to the end of the contract it don't matter if I was unable to work they will help me. so now I tried to use this one time program they told me to fax a copy of my disability forms whish I did I've send a fax with a copy of my disability forms to lobel Financial around June 17th. and a lady name "[redacted]" who supposed to handle my case never answer my calls I left several messages and on July 7 I call for the 20th time and the lady that answer My call that Day told me [redacted] tried to call me several times but it was not true and she never returned my calls. but she kept telling me she returned your calls an you didn't answer and I said no. I want to talk to "[redacted]" the main supervisor and she reply no I am not going to transfer your call to "[redacted]". And she told me I was maybe lying.so next Day July 8 I call and I let them know I will file a claim for discrimination and like 30 minutes latter I received a call from "[redacted]" Finally she returned my call and I told her way she never returned my calls and she said she did but I know she never did and I can prove it. so then she new I Really have the way to prove it she told me o we denied your case because is only for transmissions or repairs that cost more than 1.000 dollars we can help you not for disability or illness. So they lie to me from day one when I got the loan and is really sad this company's are playing with our lives this way. and is time for some body do something, so this people knows costumers are not alone. Thank youDesired Settlement: Just let this company's know costumers are valuable, and they need to be more explicit when they try to get our money.

Management has reviewed the customer’s account in detail. While our records are in contrast with the customer’s statement we also take into consideration that there may have been some form of a misunderstanding or miscommunication. We apologize for any unpleasant experience the customer may have encountered and appreciate his expressed concerns. As a courtesy, our office has reversed the customer’s late fee incurred for the June payment.

Review: In July 2012 I purchased a vehicle that was financed by Lobel Financial. In August of that same year I got sick and was out of work for 3 months. That started a series of things that snowballed out of control. It resulted in the vehicle being repo'd in March 2013 because a woman named [redacted] ordered it picked up. I spoke to her on Thursday and told her I would be mailing a money order to the local office the next day, which I did. I even called her voicemail and left her the money order number. But before the mail ran that day she had it picked up. Prior to her I had a couple other people that were nasty and threatening to deal with. The Company that took the vehicle damaged it while they had it. Lobel Financial was generous enough to give $500.00 toward the repairs even though they never physically had it. Ok, we got over that, which brings me to now. They are claiming that I wrote something stating they couldn't contact me. Never happened. Have them show you what I sent. I stated there were 2 specific people I did not want to call me and that I did not want them to call me 3 and 4 times a day. I want to maintain contact and communicate with them. And in all fairness, the last several times I have spoken with them, the individuals I have talked to have been spectacular. They have been the polar opposite of prior contacts. Please note the account.I have struggled with pymts but have been consistently paying on the account. It came to my attention last wk that only making a partial pymt doesn't count. When I called in last wk I was told I was 51 days behind even though I had made partial pymts every 2 wks. I still owed $82 on the Nov pymt and as of the 24 of Dec another pymt was due. I didn't get any credit for what had been pd.Desired Settlement: I would like an accounting of where I'm at with this acct.On Feb 2nd my shift at Home Depot will be 9p - 5:30a, Sun - Thurs. I will be on the MET Team, we travel to 6 stores in the District to do resets. And I have a pt - time job Fri & Sat night at the Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper. Fri 7p - til we are done, Sat 11p - same as Fri. I don't want & can't afford to lose my vehicle. I have an excellent opportunity to get caught up & current on my obligation.

Response:

As explained in response to the customer’s previous Revdex.com complaint from May of 2013, Lobel Financial updated the customer’s account to reflect that we cease and desist any outbound telephonic communication per her discussion with an account supervisor. The customer was informed we would gladly service her account and any questions she may have should she contact our office directly but we would no longer place any further outbound courtesy collection calls or reminders. The customer has been explained on several prior occasions that partial payments can and may endanger her account. She was further advised that she should contact our office to discuss monthly payment amounts and/or arrangements should her account become of a delinquent status. Monthly statements indicating the amounts due and/or past due have also been generated monthly. Per the customer’s request, our office will gladly mail a payment history statement for her review to the address on file. Should she have any questions, she should contact our office directly.

Review: I've had my car for about 6-7 months and have done very well at keeping up on my payments and contacting them when I couldn't make a payment. I recently lost my job found another and I've told them all this but the customer service reps feel the need to tell you about your life and what they feel you should do and should of done . they are rude and unpleasant. they r un realistic . I bough my kia sorento from a used car lot and it needed repairs remind you can not do a deferment until 6 months after you had the car and then they harass you and stress you out. They don't take credit or debit so every one who gets direct deposit sorry for them they better make the payment the best they know how . you can only change you due date once god forbid you get a different job and different pay period . It's not fair or responsible all they wont is money and more money. they are ridiculous.Desired Settlement: better service and the ability to change my due date due to my job changes and life happens. also better customer service reps!!!!! and realistic if they where more realistic it would be better who do you know can lose their job find another and still make rent car note and bills ect??? even if one of the lobel reps was to lose their job and couldn't afford their bill at that moment then what would they say?

Response:

Management is disturbed to hear that one of our valued customers has received less than stellar service. Our office takes such complaints very seriously as we continually strive to improve the service we provide our customers. While our policies regarding deferred payments and/or monthly due date changes are not negotiable, should the customer experience any future issues with making her payment in a timely manner we ask that she contact our office directly to discuss potential payment arrangements and/or options and we will do our best to accommodate her situation. At this time the customer’s account is 22 days delinquent. We ask that she remit the past due amount and/or contact our office immediately to further discuss the status of her account. Payments may be made at a local branch location with a personal check, money order or cashier’s check (all other methods not accepted), made through a third party vendor, Western Union or MoneyGram, with cash, debit and/or credit card (may contact directly to confirm options available online, via phone or at a location) or automatically debited from a checking account with a provided routing and checking account number by contacting our office directly at ###-###-####.

Review: Problems from day 1. Major problem is dealing with them through garnishment. Paid off garnishment through los angeles county.

Public record [redacted]. My garnishment was fulfilled in late January and I was even refunded an overpayment through los angeles county sheriffs. Record inquiry shows that on 2/12/15 the EWO was terminated and case was stayed. Called lobel in Mayto see where my account stood I even gave them 3 months to resolve this and file satisfaction with the court. I hadent seen any change on my credit report and heard nothing after legal department representative told me that they would send out for satisfaction once the manager did a final review of the case. I called today and the legal representative was rude and told me I still owed them money and that they have not received anything from the county saying Im finished paying. I tried to ask how there was this big of a break down and she then became defensive and told me it wasnt their fault and I told her it was their fault that someone told me it would be sent for filing of satisfaction when it didnt happen. I asked for the number to make a complaint on practices of their company she said there was no higher department than them, I asked for a supervisor and was told that the supervisor doesnt take customer calls which is a lie because I have left messages for the supervisor on previous occassions when my garnsishment began. Very disorganized and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit report corrected under the collection which is still showing I owe 4,200 dollars and I would like a motion filed to vacate the judgement instead of satisfaction as there have been many wrong doings by this company. I dont feel I am obligied to pay this "extra amount" that I owe if I owed it to the company it should have been in the judgement.

Business

Response:

Lobel Financial has reviewed the customer’s account and

complaint in detail. Though our office

will not be filing a motion to set aside the judgement, we have sent a

satisfaction of judgement to the court on 6-23 and requested that the credit

bureaus update her tradeline to be reflected as a PAID CHARGE-OFF. While our office has immediately updated the

status of her account to the credit bureaus, it may take 30-60 days to be

reflected on her credit report.

Regards,

This company has been more than fair and willing to work with me when I had financial issues.A payment squedule was worked out .Never threaten with repossession all tho they could have.At the Corporate office no one was rude when I spoke to a counselor. At the local office in Phoenix Arizona you won't find a nicer group of people .I pay there every month. My experience has been good

Review: I purchased a used car using financing from Lobel Financial. The agreed upon payment upon signing was $250/mo. I was instructed per contract to get full coverage insurance for a certain amount. I got exactly that insurance coverage. Yet they decided to say I did not have that and the next month my payment was increased 22%. I told them I had the insurance they requested and even mailed them proof of it. They still decided that I owed them the extra amount. So I cancelled my insurance and decided to go with what they were saying since it would cost me $70 less to pay the extra 22% monthly instead of having my own insurance. They decided that I owed back pay. So I agreed. I tried to setup a payment to cover the last two months despite myself adhering to the contract just so that I wouldn't have to battle. The representative hung up on me instead of setting me up with the payment. I called back and tried speaking with the supervisor who was more interested in dealing with the girl who hung up than setting up a payment for the money they claim I owe. They are purposely trying to make it look like I'm delinquent when I have been 100% cooperative.Desired Settlement: I will be filing a complaint with my state's attorney general, the CFPB for their fraudulent practices. I would like to see them improve their dealings with people.

After I made the first payment I get a bill saying that my monthly payment has increased by $26. I call to ask why and to get a written letter saying that my payment has changed and why but they refused to give it to me. I filed a complaint with the CFPB and then they repossessed my car. They said that I need to pay off the entire loan to get my car back for being difficult. After I made the first payment I get a bill saying that my monthly payment has increased by $26. Management has thoroughly reviewed the customer’s account

and disagrees with the customer’s allegations.

On 3-4 and 3-11, the customer was explained the amounts necessary to

secure his account and/or the proof required to make any adjustments. Furthermore, he was provided the necessary insurance

requirements should he want to cancel physical damage coverage and adjust his

payment. He hung up on four different representatives

including a supervisor. Following the

call with the supervisor on 3-11, he placed an additional call to our office

and agreed to make a minimum payment of $54.00 later that day and an additional

$54.00 the following week. In an effort

to resolve the customer’s concern about insurance, our office contacted Geico

directly the next business day, 3-12-15.

Our office was able to obtain proof of coverage effective 12-24-14 however

confirmed that the policy had cancelled back on 2-10-15. Our office made the necessary adjustments to

the customer’s account and reversed a late fee based on the confirmed coverage. The vehicle was later repossessed on May 6,

2015 due to non-payment of the amounts owed for March and April. As the customer’s contract has been assigned to the original

seller, [redacted], and Lobel Financial no longer holds any interest, the

customer should contact [redacted] directly if he is interested in redeeming the

collateral, should it still be available for redemption.

Review: Since I had purchased the vehicle the finance company has since been harassing calling stating that they show no insurance on my car and jump up my amount owe by $ 2000 I have been in front at the office with lobel while they have faxed over my proof of insurance to the corporate office and today I get a knock on my door and they reposed my vehicle it's rediculous what they are doing to me I have been arguing with the corporate and lobel about the insurance. I am now having to pay 798 in order to get my car back.Desired Settlement: To stop the harassment And headaches of this company find another financial company to work

Business

Response:

Lobel Financial has confirmed the provided insurance coverage since the inception of the loan and disagrees with the customer’s contentions therein. Nonetheless, we have cancelled the physical damage protection coverage. It will be the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that the collateral is insured against loss.

Review: This company will not provide a straight answer on what the balance on my account is, I show I have made all my payments through my bank ans some months several payments. They are saying I payment history and my loan should be paid off. Several agents have say different things and when the paper is sent with payments nothing makes sense. I need someone to check into the loan for me and make them be honest!!Desired Settlement: [redacted] ssn on account

Business

Response:

Lobel Financial has reviewed the customer’s account in

detail. The current account balance as

of today’s date, 9-16-15, is $430.84.

This balance is subject to change based on the date final payment is

received and/or if any payment provided is not honored. We are happy to issue a payment history statement

and review with the customer should she have any questions. Additionally, an account supervisor has

placed a call to the customer to confirm if she needed clarification on her

account. Upon speaking with the

customer, the customer informed the supervisor that she had no questions

regarding the balance and would call back when she was prepared to make her

final payment. The supervisor provided her direct contact information to the customer in the event she had any future questions.

Review: I send this company payments in the form money orders. After a month goes by they contact me saying they haven't received my payment. this has happened about 10 times in a two year period I've been finanaced with them. I alway's put my account number on the money orders when I send them so they get put into the right account. When I tell them I sent a money order, they ask me to call the 1-800 number on the back of money receipt I keep. Find out when cashed, And by whom. They always have been cash three days after I sent them,And cashed by Lobel Financial. They still say they never received them. Which is not true. This company is trying to scam people out of there money. And trying to get more money, by saying they never received it. Now your a month behind, And need to send double the payment.Desired Settlement: I just want someone to look into there business practices. Because I'am sure I'am not the only one this has happened to. And somebody need to put a stop to this company business practices. Management has thoroughly reviewed the customer’s complaint and her account detail. Our office has serviced Ms. [redacted]’s account since December of 2011. During this time our office did apply a payment received in April of 2013 to another account. This was unintentional and due to clerical error when the account number was accidentally transposed by an accounting clerk and credited to another customer’s account. Our office made the necessary adjustments and applied this payment to the true accountholder. The customer contacted our office on 1-30-14 stating she had mailed a payment on 1-10-14 and provided the money order serial number [redacted] for the amount of $280.92. The customer has informed our office this payment was cashed however, to date, our records do not indicate this payment was received by our office. The customer will need to dispute and/or place a trace on this payment with the issuing company. Should the customer incur a charge for this trace and the results prove that Lobel Financial has received the monies for the payment listed above we will gladly reimburse the customer upon receipt of such proof.

Lobel Financial illegally gave me a loan to a vehicle that is not registered to my name. Not only that but Lobel Financial also illegally purchased a car from a car lot that did not pay for the vehicle and put the loan in my name without the car being registered to me or having any documents to prove that I signed any vehicle registration papers to receive a loan.

Response:

While our office did not have such proof as indicated by the

customer, our office contacted all prior and current insurance companies to

verify insurance coverage throughout the term of the customer’s loan. As we were able to confirm the customer did

have additional coverage not previously received by our office, we were happy

to make the necessary adjustments. The

customer’s remaining balance was $709.15. Following a payment in the amount of $355.61

received on 3-9-15 and adjustments for physical damage protection, his

remaining balance was $4.92. As a

courtesy, we have waived the $4.92 balance and closed the customer’s

account. A lien-satisfied letter,

confirming the account is considered paid in full, will be generated and mailed

to the address on file following the standard 15 business day processing

period.

It is now January 2016 and iam still receiving payment slips from lobel stating the monthly payment as if I still owe on the vehicle for $421.. Response:

At 4:20am December 29, 2015, I called 911 when my roommates car alarm sounded & 3 men where breaking into her car. She purchased the car earlier this year in April. She bought it used at a dealership who finances through Lobel financial. She hasn't missed a payment until this month, when she realized they've been charging her an additional $70 for unauthorized insurance deductions & made attempts to contact Lobel, only to be told someone would call her back between 4-5pm, hours of which they are CLOSED! Just days after her payment was due, this frightening, middle-of-the-night car raid happened & her vehicle was repossessed. After additional multiple calls to Lobel, she has yet to receive a call back & recorded a conversation with one of their customer service representatives, who rudely hung up on her once she found out she was being recorded. Her insurance company has faced Lobel with her insurance information as well as the DMV. The dealership ensured she was fully covered before driving the car off the lot. She has never received documentation from Lobel for a loan contract, Privacy & Policy Notice, loan APR or statements other than confirmation of payment stubs, which don't reflect a balance or payoff status & they refuse to provide any. Please, I reach out to everyone who's had a fraudulent repossession due to bad business dealings with Lobel financial & ask that you contact me, as I am assisting my roommate with filing a class action lawsuit. After doing some research, I've found they've been sued before for the exact same thing (and lost) & somehow continue to do business & rip people off.

I purchased a vehicle through them in late Nov 2014, the car dealership instructed me that my first payment was due Jan 25, which was my choice between Jan 10 and Jan 25, Lobel called Dec 25 for their first payment. I made the Dec payment in Jan and have been paying on my account as per our agreement. I got behind on my account and agreed to pay up and send in a request for a deferral payment. I sent in the fax for my June payment to be deferred, it was approved. I called July 30 to tell them my payment was going to be made on Aug 12, My car was repo'd Aug 10 for a June payment and July Payment. I am getting the run around and have still been unable to get a hold of anyone in there office to help. they are renigging on the deferral and are refusing to tell me the cost to get my car back. Customer Service was poor and my rep refused to give me any information. I am still waiting on contact from them

Review: My car has been repossessed..lobel is not wanting to work with me unless I provide them with my girlfriend information so that she be added on ..I have no way of getting her info cause she refuses to be added on ..I took.out the loan not my girlfriend..so why cant they work with me instead there requesting I pay the full balance ..I am unable to pay full balace ..but I will pay what is asking 1508.00..to restate my contract ..any any other fees that is asked to get my car back..

Lobel Financial has reviewed the customer’s account and

complaint in detail. Following the

repossession, the customer confirmed that as an additional driver of the

vehicle and payer on the account, he wanted to allow his girlfriend to receive

account information. As adding authorized users requires the party’s

information and only grants limited access to account information, the customer

and his girlfriend rescinded their request. The customer has since paid the amounts

necessary to recover and redeem the financed collateral.

Response:

Lobel Financial has thoroughly reviewed the customer’s

complaint and account in detail.

The financed collateral was repossessed on 7.2.15 for the

amounts owed for his March, April, May and June payments. While the customer has consistently reflected

insurance coverage throughout the term of the loan, our office did generate notices

in the event we received notices issued by the insurance company informing us of

cancellations and/or expired coverage. From

the inception of the loan, the customer’s account has only been billed for a

lapse in coverage from 5-2-15 to 5-21-15. Upon receipt of the customer’s

complaint, our office contacted the customer’s insurance company, SafeAuto. We have since confirmed that the policy only

lapsed for 2 days in June of 2014 but had coverage for the periods in May of

2015 and have made the necessary adjustments to the customer’s account. As the financed collateral was repossessed

solely for non-payment of the delinquent amounts owed since March and amounts billed

for physical damage protection had no bearing on the status of his account, our

office would be unable to refund any monies.

If the customer is interested in redeeming the collateral he should

---------- Forwarded message ----------From: Collections Management <[redacted]>Date: Wed, Feb 25, 2015 at 4:45 PMSubject: Complaint ID [redacted]To: "[redacted]" <[redacted]>Hello [redacted]/Revdex.com,Please find Lobel Financial’s response to complaint ID [redacted] listed below: Management has thoroughly reviewed the customer’s account. In August of 2011, our office reported 60 DAYS PAST DUE to the credit bureaus based on the account standing at that time. As a creditor, we have an obligation to accurately report the true account standing and would therefore be unable to make an adjustment with regards to this 60 DAY PAST DUE MARK. The current status being reported to the credit bureaus is NOW PAYING/WAS A CHARGE OFF since May of 2011. Per the customer’s request, a letter reflecting the status of the account was generated and mailed on 1-22-15. Should the customer have any further questions, he may direct them to our Legal Department at [redacted].

Review: lobel charged 3 years compound interest on returned check,My Bank covered the check the next couple days .they charged a (HIDDEN) $30.00 fee for returned check then NOT known to me .If I knew I had a fee charged I would have I paid it immediately BUT they never mention by billing or phone . So now it's a $60.00charge I have to pay to get my Title. Bad business model. I am sure this is a systemic problem affection thousands of people.Desired Settlement: I am hoping the Revdex.com put a halt to this practice ..they did not tell me I had a Hidden charge?

Our office has reviewed the customer’s complaint. While it is unclear what may have led the customer to believe this, we want to assure the customer that interest was not applied as described in his complaint. When the customer’s bank did not honor a payment that was provided to our office, his account was assessed applicable return check charges as deemed by state law. Following the returned payment, a letter was generated to the customer to advise of the status of the payment. As a courtesy, these fees were deferred to the end of the loan. No extra interest was earned as a result of these fees. The customer has since made his final payment to our office. Pending clearance of this payment and following the standard processing period, the customer’s title will be released by our office and mailed to the address on file directly by the [redacted].
