Hello [redacted] I see that your account with us consists of only one contract, for advertising in the edition of the Erie County phone directoryThe basis of the complaint is you do not feel you agreed to purchase the ad.Unfortunately we disagree strongly with thisI am attaching a copy of the contract with print order and the email chain that includes your approvalPlease note the approval is given from the same email listed in this complaintFurther, I point to the fact that you made payment to cover the first installment of the advertising this same timeOur account history shows that no payment was made for two months after thisOn December 15, our mailed invoice was returned as not deliverableOn this date we left a voicemail for you regarding the address and the back balanceOn December 17, we received a return phone call from you giving the new address and communicating that payment was forthcomingOn December 30, we received a call from you making good on you promise of paymentOn this date you made a credit card payment in the amount equal to two months billingThat was the last payment we received, and the last time you responded to our numerous attempts to speak with youBecause you had worked with us to bring your account current previously, we waited full months without payment or contact before turning your account over to a collections agencyWe attempted to give you every opportunity to work with us before taking that stepUnfortunately, when a client is unresponsive for such a long period of time, we have no other option

I believe there is some confusion on this accountThe internet advertising was shut down in March I do see that payments were taken after the internet products were shut down, but those dollars were applied to the Erie County print directory for the year The remaining balance is also for the print directory advertising, not internet marketingLastly, the website that is currently up at? [redacted] / is not the site that Localedge created or hosted for the consumerThe site we created is no longer active.? The consumer can call our customer service line for further clarification on the billing.?

All the documentation indicates the contract that was signed and fulfilled was for internet marketing services for minimum of months. Because product performance is important to us, I also took the time to look into the this account and found the following calls have been made (and recorded) to the tracking number that appears only on the internet products we built and maintainIn addition, forms have been filled out- requesting estimates for work; the pages have been viewed 8,times and the keyword we promote on the search engines have been performing well. Our records do not reflect any request to speak with a supervisor, but I am going to reach out myself in an effort to assure the client that the products appear to be performing much differently than they perceive.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below and I would like to point out that it is not just a simple accept or reject. I would like to clarify what the resolution was so that other customers can get a real view of the settlement:The company offered to change my contract from paying over a month down to under a month for the remaining two months of my contract and they admitted that the first person I spoke to was in accounts receivable and not the person I should have had to deal with. They also stated that they did provide my all of my services even though I was not sent a proof every month. Since I originally contacted them just after the half way point of my contact, I did request that they retro act this offer to the original date that I had contacted them and they would not. Therefore it is a better situation than the one I was originally in however it should have been offered to me four months ago. I did accept this offer however I am not completely satisfied but something is better than nothing. Other customers should know to keep calling back and not settle for the first answer. Still extremely disappointed overall. Regards,*** ***
