Luminary Skin Reviews (%countItem)

It is near to impossible to stop the reoccuring charges, as you cannot get anyone on the phone and no way to communicate via a website. Beyond the free trial of (who knows what it is) I have been charged but received no product. I have had charges that utilize different names (both on the list from Revdex.com) so it is double confusing to discern where it coming from. The only solution is for the credit card to block or flag you when the charge occurs.
It is unbelievable this kind of operation can run unchecked for this amount of time before being shut down. Since they are a fraud, no one knows what kind of product they are putting on their body, which could be harmful. They have clearly made a lot of money with this scam. I hope they are shut down soon.

Company has deceptive practices both for their products and truth in advertising.
Deceptive advertising: Skin care product advertised on the Internet and Facebook as used by famous people such as Angolina Jolie and Joanna Gaines. Not true or authorized.

Business practice: Sample for $ 1.00. I ordered in Febuary on my Visa charge. That is true.
What is NOT true is your charge is charged $ 93.87 IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL WITHIN 2 WEEKS. I looked at the website, it states 30 days. This charge appeared on my Visa staement charged by company on 2/26/18.
I called in mid March to customer service number listed on my charge-888 495 9036. Spoke with agent *** I Cancelled, asked for a full credit. Was offered a % discount. Told I could not get a credit as it was after the 2 weeks. This went round and around. I kept saying no, I didnit sign up for that. Would never have signed up for that. That this felt deceptive. I kept asking for a suporvisor. Was told by agent no one availalbe. After about 20 min of this, and me persisting on speaking to a suporvisor, I was transferred to a fellow who identifited himself as Antwan agent *** He repeatedly said, I could not have a credit because I did not cancel within 2 weeks. I replied it wasn't on the paperwork. He said it most certianly was. As I previously stated I went back to the website. I saw 30 days, no where did I see 2 weeks unless it was on teh back or some other hard to find Terms and COnditions.
Eventually he offered 2 additional jars of skin cream. I accepted. As of this date, 3/23 I have not received the 2 jars, by the way. I was quoted 24-48 hours to ship out. Perhaps the jars are on the way. By the way- I am not interested in more skin cream. I accepted to get off the phone.

Why?
I had and have just had surgery on my arm 3/14/18 a day or two before I called to cancel. My arm is in a cast, having had plates, screws, etc. I just could not stay in the phone another moment. It was throbbing, I was in pain.

Desired resolution: this compnay be fined and shut down for deceptive practices. That others as well as myself get the credit of $ 93.87 inc shipping to our account we all deserve.

Thank you- ***.

Desired Outcome

Full credit of 93.87 for myself and others shown on your website. Perhaps a class action suit?! The company investigated and shut down.

After reviewing Mrs. complaint we want to apologize for any confusion. The package you received is a full thirty day supply, we do not offer sample sizes. We sent you a full size bottle and allow you to try it for the 14 day trial period to see if you like it, for just the cost of shipping and handling. If you like the product after your trial, you are billed for the actual cost of the product and enrolled in a monthly subscription. The reason we send you a full 30 day supply to try is because of the overwhelming response and feedback from customers who love the product, and want to continue seeing their results. Because customer satisfaction is important to us, Mrs. has been refunded the $93.87. It will take 3-5 business days for the refund to reflect on to Mrs. bank account. We hope she is satisfied with our business and we want to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

Upon receiving 2 shipments within 2 days of each other I called to cancel and return item because the trial made my face red. I was told I couldn't return it even though it's bever been opened. I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor. It's $95 for each package.

To Whom It May Concern:
After reviewing Ms. complaint, we want to apologize for any confusion and for the delay in our response as we just received notification of her complaint. We have a monthly subscription-based schedule, per many requests from our regular customers. This allows our active, on-the-go customers the convenience of automatically receiving their skin care regimen. We send our customers the full-sized product and they are given a 14-day trial period to decide if they like our product for only the cost of shipping and handling. After the trial, they are then charged for our products at the full retail price and enrolled in our subscription-based schedule. Our terms and conditions have remained on our website and we apologize if Ms. did not see them upon placing her order.
Upon looking over Ms. account with us we can confirm that she started her trial with us on December 12, 2017 for the shipping cost of $4.95. After her trial ended on December 26, 2017, she was then billed $93.87 for the full-sized products that were shipped to her and enrolled into our monthly subscription. Our records indicate that Ms. did not reach out to us to cancel her account until March 7, 2018, therefore prior to that we believed her to be enjoying her results with our products and her subscription; and we are very sorry to hear that her skin did not agree with our product. Due to her allergy to our product, we will be sending Ms. a refund check for the January, February and March charges of $93.87 and $93.79, making a total reimbursement of $469.19. This should take roughly 5-7 business days from the issue date to be received. Before we send her refund check, we need to follow up and verify that the address listed on this complaint is still accurate. Please respond confirming the current address, or provide us with an updated address in your response.
We are committed to customer happiness and regret that you did not initially find that with our company. We sincerely hope that this settles any grief you had with regard to our company and want to again apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

iI have been charge from my banck acount for the amount or 93.79 for two times, I called them and they said they can not refund my money back. This company is just fulling people making you believe you are just paying the first time for a sample, because they dont specify in their advertisement that they will charge you if you dont cancell at a certain time of period. This is a total scamm. be aware.

Luminary Revitalizing Moisturizer!,,, TOTAL SCAM! Is all I have to say! They offered me 35%, I said no I want all of my money back, than they proceeded to offer me %50 back. This little bottle is not worth $ 5 US dollars... Revdex.com REALLY NEEDS TO ADVISE Luminary they are scamming people, and to stop. How could Jo Jo Gaines from HGTV put her name on this product. She was the only reason I purchased the product.. total scam! I want all of my money back. I asked to return the product and they told me to keep it. I don't want it... lesson learned celebrities are liars... Don't believe the hype!

This is a SCAM and for finishing the survey I will get a free gift. I had a list of gifts to choose from and I chose the face cream and serum. I just had to pay for the shipping. Then 1 month later I receive 2 charges 93.87 and 93.79. for this product. My credit card company disputed it and credited me back and changed my card. But the company answered the dispute and my credit card company just charged me back and paid them and said it is not fraud since I gave them the credit card number for the shipping. They told me to contact the company to get the charges back. I did and they told me that I have been black listed and can no longer assist me. I asked for my money back and they said they can not. They said I was black listed because I disputed the charges. This company and all other scams like this needs to be taken down.

False advertising and a Scam.I order free samples pay only for shipping of $4.95 each product. I received a moisture cream and serum.
I order free samples pay only for shipping of $4.95 each product. I received a moisture cream and serum.
I called the 1st time at talk with a Women name Shawana *** She told me I was suppose to return it within 14 days. They did not say anything about returning the products within 14 days otherwise you will be charge. I received my credit card bill and there was 2 charges. $93.87 and $93.79 which I never authorized or even mention in the ad. I was deputing the charges and Shawana said I will give you 35% I said no, I want all my money back. She said how about 50% off I said no I want 100% She went up to 75%. I still said no. She gave me a RMA #`and I sent it back. I called my credit card company to cancel the charges, and they notified me that there is another charge on my card from them. I cancel my credit card. I did receive a email stating I am getting back 93.79 Then I call again and told them I did not get my full refund and now I received another package, I requested another RMA #so I can send it back, this time I talk with Yanick *** He said they already credit me for this. I told him I was charged Three times, and I did receive a 2 notification that order is cancellation. He told me to keep the product, I told him I do not want it I want my money. I asked to talk to a Supervisor and I was in touch with Sham *** . Finally after going back and forth with her. I told her I was writing to you and then the news papers in Colorado. As I am typing this email Sham sent me another $93.87 refund to my credit card. One more to go. I need the refund for the product I just received to 02/22/2018 It was just the moisture which was $93.79

Desired Outcome

I would like to have all my money back. I would also like the media to look into this place to see how many years that Luminary skin care bilked consumers out of Hundreds of Millions of dollars of for the prices they were charging us. All most $200.00 or more.

Company refuses to issue refund for product received at their warehouse
I ordered product that was a "free trial", however, company continued to ship and bill $93.87 for three unauthorized shipments. When I was finally able to contact them, they would not issue full refund and only for one product. I received a RMA *** however, Burnell Agent *** states product was received in Warehouse too late and WILL NOT issue refund even though they accepted product back into warehouse. Company would not provide tracking number for shipment so I could track it.

Desired Outcome

I would like my money back for the entire amount as I did not authorize any shipments after the trial. Product does not work as stated and the last shipment was returned unopened and sealed as it was received. Refund in the amount of $93.87

To Whom This May Concern,

We have reviewed Mrs. ***'s complaint regarding her account with us. She ordered a full 30 day supply of Lumiere Ageless moisturizer on May 27, 2017. We do not offer sample sizes. We sent her full size bottles to try for the 14 day trial period; for just the cost of shipping and handling on a subscription basis.

Our records indicate Mrs. initially contacted our customer service via email on August 21, 2017. We promptly responded on August 21, 2017 requesting she call our customer service department for further assistance. We did not receive the product in our warehouse until September 22, 2017 and she was not issued a refund due to being outside of our 30 day return policy.

The tracking numbers Mrs. requested are unavailable to us. We can only provide the tracking numbers associated with the products we shipped from our warehouse. We are unable to issue a refund to Mrs.. We hope this resolves any concerns and are available at 877-929-7658 for any further questions.

Purchased Luxe Glow products on line which consisted of 1 free item andd 3 other products, the cost was $93.87. My crdit card was charged for the amount. Free item came but did not do what Luxe Glow Claimed. I canceled the order and was given a cancellation *** along with an e mail cancelling the order form agent *** They creditted my account within days but recharged it some time later. As of now the ammount is still on my credit card, at the time of ordering there was very little information regarding payment or cancellation of the order. I have never recieved any other items other than the free item which did not have to be returned. I am a senior citizen with a fixed income and figured I would get my money back because I had a cancellation number along with e mail canceling the order and was never sent the balance of the order which I do not want anyway. Unfortunately, I checked Revdex.com after this order was processed to find out what type of business this is.

According to Luminary they sent me 4 bottles. The one item we did recieve was a free bottle. They also claim they sent the other 3 bottles. WE NEVER RECIEVED THEM, NO MATTER WHAT THEY CLAIMED. I cannot understand how a Company can advertise, then change what they advertised and cheat people, especially senior citizens on a fixed income out of their money. How do they sleep at nights???. They keep saying that they sent the items. They claim I refused them, I never seen them. Please inform them to show us they actually sent them and a signed receipt. According to Revdex.com of Colarado this is what they do. People place an order charge there credit card but never send the items.

When I called for $4.99 trial sample was not told of a 14 day notification period. They kept sending it,for the past 3 months and I kept returning it.
(November 2017)The item comes with no information just the 2 bottles of cosmetics. She tried it but it irritated her skin. We though that was that because it was a trial. (December 2017) here comes another supply of the stuff. We mailed it back with a letter in the box requesting they stop sending us any more products. We never checked our credit card statement for charges which was my mistake. (February 2018) Here comes another supply we promptly mailed it back. When I received my credit card statement I have been billed almost $600 for 3 shipments. I have returned 2 of the 3 that were not opened. Finally found a phone number and was able to contact them They told me they could not refund my money and they had no record of me sending back the product. They said I should have called them for a return authorization number. I said that was find if I would have had paper work stating that and some procedure for returns or how to contact their customer service. Buyer Beware

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded at least the money for the 2 shipments I sent back. It has cost me $600 for my wife to have a reaction to their product.

Our records indicate our products were received back in our warehouse on February 19, 2018. Due to the products being received outside of our 30 day money back guarantee a refund was not issued at that time.

We take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction and as a testament to this, as requested, we have issued a credit via check in the amount of $375.32. This will be received within 5-7 business days. We hope this resolve any concerns and are available at 877-929-7658 for any further questions.

I received a letter from my credit card company today that Luminary Products has refunded all the funds. I have verified this with the card company, and on Monday the 12 all the funds were credited to my account. Thank you so very much for your help and I 'am sure that without it they would not have refunded it so quickly, or if at all.

Free sample scam
On November 26, 2017 I saw an article on the internet that said Joanna Gaines was starting a new business involving skin care products. When I clicked on the link I was offered a free sample with the understanding that I would pay only shipping fees. I used a credit card that has a o% interest so I rarely check the monthly statement. Today I checked and discovered that I was charged $93.79 and $93.87 on January 10, 2018. I decided to look back in December and found the same two charges. I have two sets of unopened product that I plan to return. I am furious that there was no mention of any recurring charges or that I would receive another shipment of this product.

Desired Outcome

I want to ship 2 Luminary 30ml Hydrofirm Cream and 2 Luminary 15ml Collagen Serum back in exchange for a full refund of $375.32.

Received a check from company for $185.00 this week. Thank you for your help! I was getting nowhere with them on my own,so I'm very thankful for your help!

I was lead to believe I was purchasing a trial of the Luminary Skin Cream. I wascharged $94, promised a refund after I called, then never got my $back
I found a "trial" of luminary skin crème for the cost of shipping at $4.95. So I signed up and paid the shipping cost. Two weeks after placing the order, I had received the crème a few days before, I noticed a charge on my account for $94. So I called the customer service number to ask about it, and they told me that I would receive a refund. I know these things take time, so I gave it a few weeks for the money to return to my account. After I hadn't seen the credit over the period of three weeks, I called back. I was on the phone with two different people who were both very rude to me(one was a manager)and they both told me that they were sorry I was told I would receive a refund, and pretty much tried to hang up on me. I was so frustrated I didn't even want to try and call back. I hope this report helps anyone else from getting scammed by this horrible company in the future. AND, the crème didn't work!!!!!!

Desired Outcome

I really hope to get my $94 dollars back like I was promised!!!!!!!!!!!

SCAM!!! I cannot get my refund and continue to get billed from 2 different locations! Order cancelled and still being charged.
I am another victim of this terrible scam product off of Facebook! I ordered the free trial order of Ageless Moisturizer and the Eye Syrum and received only a confirmation for the $4.60 shipping and handling for both so 2 different confirmations. The order was on 11/9/17. There were no visible conditions of the "14 day" trial period. On 12/24 I was charged $93.79 from CA. On 12/23 I was charged $93.87 from FL. I called the 800# associated with the charge only to get a "customer service rep" I could barely understand her and she continued to try to sell me more product for the price of what I paid because I was outside of the 14 day period. I ask for the supervisor and got Bradley. After 20 minutes of going round and round with him he cancelled my orders and told me I would get a full refund. I mailed the unopened product back to the 45th Address in Denver. On 1/18 I received 1 credit for $93.87 and an email stating the credit was processed. I replied back stating I was still owed another credit of $93.79 and received another email that I already got credit. Mind you I have 2 cancellation emails dated 1/11/18 as well.Order ID-*** for the moisturizer and Order ID- ***. I just received my new credit card statement only to find the one credit but yet again I'm charged the 2 charges and they
used the same 12/24and 12/23 charge dates!!! This is such a
SCAM and you can't get anyone on the phone to help you.
How do these people continue to get away with this??! At this point I'm owed credit for 2 charges of $93.79 and one charge of $93.87. This is outrageous and very costly! This so called business should be shut down immediately! I was happy to find this on Revdex.com in hopes of getting some resolution. My fear is that I will continue to get the monthly charges for a product I do not even have that was sent back. Unbelievable!!

Desired Outcome

I want the credit I'm owed for 2 charges of $93.79 and one charge of $93.87 and I do not want to see anymore charges to my credit card for something I don't have and do not want any part of this SCAM!!

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
While I appreciate finally receiving my refunds that were due to me I do not agree with the response given. It took from January 18th when I was issued a portion of my charges which was one payment of $93.87 until March 13th for this company to uphold their cancellation and issue the reaming money to my account. This I truly believe because of getting the Revdex.com involved. Why when they issued the first credit and I replied to their email that I was still due 3 additional credits as by that time I was in fact charged again! The response I received is our records show you received credit which was the one credit and when I disputed that I was never contacted again until now. My words to anyone even thinking of ordering this "Trial Offer" DO NOT DO IT! I am grateful to have finally received ... or should I say received 3 emails saying I have been credited what was wrongfully charged to my account I will believe when I see my statement. No consumer should have to go to this length to receive what is rightfully owed to them.

I have experienced everything everyone else has and these people needs to be shut down. Would anyone be willing to start a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against them as they need to be shut down and we need our finances not messed with by charging without permission. I have some information, but they are fraud. who is to say that cream isn't any different then any other label they just find a new name and same ingredients yet making us think it is something different???? Have you thought about that one as there is another cream and they had a substantial amount of claims with the Revdex.com I have contacted the Attorney Generals office in each different state they have mentioned as there is never just one..I believe we have enough evidence and trials and tribulations against this place I feel strongly this is our way of possible return in full of our moneys.

Account canx. three weeks ago, was to receive refund if I returned the yet to be received product. The product was never received nor was the refund.
Back in December of 2017, my wife, *** responded to a cell phone message which offered a FREE sample of a product named Luminary Skin Cream. All she had to do was pay the shipping fee of $4.95. She agreed and gave her credit card number. Our account was charged $4.95 and then two days later another $1.95 for something. When the product arrived, she tried it for several days and decided that she didn't want it. At no time was she told that she had committed to a monthly shipment of product for which she would be charged $93.87. On 1/12/2018 our credit card was charged $93.87 and the phone number 877-983-1331 was shown as the recipient. On 1/16/2018 I called that number and found it to be the Customer Service Dept. of Luxeglow/Luminary. After several minutes of conversation, my account was cancelled. I was told that a shipment of product (supposedly worth $93.87) had already been shipped to our address but probably had not yet been received. I was given an "RA" number *** and told that when the shipment arrived, I could return it to: 11551 E. 45th Ave. Unit C, Denver, CO 80239 and within five days of its receipt, my credit account would be credited the $93.87. I have never received any product to return, nor the credit to my account. So this morning 2/5/2018, I again called the Customer Service number. I was told that my account was cancelled but that the small "sample" my wife originally received, was worth $93.87 and because I had not returned it by 1/28/2018 (the supposed cutoff date)no refund was due me. After more conversation, I was offered three bottles of the same product for the $93.87 that I had paid. I told the representative that I did not want any more product and that I would even send back the sample. I was told that it was too late to send anything back and that "she was sorry but nothing else could be done because it was too late and my account had been cancelled". I asked that I be transferred to her Boss or a Manager. I was told that she would send a note to them and that they would contact me within 72 hours. Based on all of my previous conversations with Luminary, I do not believe that my interests and concerns are going to be addressed. I do not want to wait by my phone for 3 days for a call that may not come or a call that does not resolve the issue. I believe that their initial contact to my wife's cell phone was fraudulent and has been exacerbated by the continuing lies I have been told when trying to settle the issue.

Desired Outcome

I would like to have my credit card credited the amount of $93.87. I do not want any further conversations with them. I would like to see their fraudulent advertising stopped.

To Whom This May Concern,
We have reviewed Mr. complaint regarding his wife Mrs. Shara ***'s account with us. She ordered a full 30 day supply of Lumiere Ageless moisturizer on December 28, 2017. We do not offer sample sizes. We sent her a full size bottle to try it for the 14 day trial period to see if he liked it, for just the cost of shipping and handling on a subscription basis. The $1.95 charge occurred for expedited shipping of our product. On January 11, 2018 Mrs. was charged the full retail price of our product.

We apologize for any confusion. Customer satisfaction is a priority and we have refunded Mrs. in the amount of $93.87 via check. She will receive this check within 5-7 business days. We hope she is satisfied with this credit and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Customer support

I accept the company's answer. However, for them to make sure that other customers are not confused or misled perhaps they should review their online "sales pitch" and word it so there is no question.

The promised check was finally received. Thanks for your very able assistance.

THIS IS A SCAM. I called them within 30 days to cancel and they will NOT give me a refund. Do not want product and will return once refunded.
This is a scam! You think you are receiving this product for the price of shipping only but you will be charged an additional ridiculous charge. I called to cancel within the "30 day refund period" but I've been charged by NUBOD SKIN, $93.87 and by ILMNTRA*ILLUMINTRAEYE, $93.79. Nowhere did I read anything about a 14 day cancellation policy or that my credit card would be charged $93.87 & $93.79 for their product. No policy or product information was sent with the trial offer. I need to be refunded for all of the above credit charges.

Desired Outcome

I want to receive a refund for $187.66 and then I'll return their product that I didn't use.

My wife was billed $93.87 for product that my wife thought was a free trial. The company agreed to refund both the $93.87 & $93.79 charges.
I will return the product to get the additional refund. Product wasn't used. They even admit to a free trial ONLY for shipping costs.

Their statement is incorrect and never happened as of today 3/14/2018.
"We take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction and as a testament to this we have issued Mrs. a check in the amount of $$93.87."

No such check was received. Never happened.

My wife did receive a credit of $93.79 on the credit card. This was supposedly for an automatic shipment that we didn't order and didn't even receive. My wife called early to cancel the free trial.

The 2 amounts charged are very close but done to add confusion.

I ordered a free sample of essencia moisturizer and eye serum on Jan 21, 2018. Today I got two charges of $93 to my bank. I ordered this on facebook where the only confirmation I got was for my shipping costs. There was no visible disclaimer about a 14 day free trial that charges a $93 dollar monthly recurring fees. My order number was *** There were two company names associated with the fraudulent charges. And how could you return the product back if there was no information about a return policy. And to what address. Total trickery on this facebook advertisement.

I ordered 2 samples of skin care items and was charged 2 charges 93.79 and 93.87. W
I ordered 2 samples off skin care products 1 for Luminary Revitalizing Moisturizer and the other for Luminary Eye Revitalizer. I received my credit card statement with 2 charges 1 for 93.87 and the other or 93.87. I immediately called the 866 phone number to dispute the charges and was told that it was a trial and I missed the end date and would have to pay. I demanded to speak with a supervisor and after 15 minutes of negotiating with Travis I accepted a 75% refund

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund and put these scam artists out of business.
