Cancelled order and sent product back and did not receive a refund
Order wrinkle cream back in late June as a trial. Then in July the product was shipped to us and billed on July 17, 2017 in the amount of $93.87, did not realize this was being sent automatically billed for it. Called to cancel order another jar of cream was shipped and billed on 8-18-17. called again and asked to return the product unused. Was given address over the phone and RA number 5569827249E4. I shipped the product back by the address I was given by UPS to get the product by a certain date. The package was returned undeliverable due to address. I called back and was told it had to be turned by the first of October. I told them about the issue with the address and was told to send it and they would make a note of the issue. I checked the tracking number and it was delivered on October 2nd 2017. I never received a credit for any of the product and have been calling the last few days and they tell me they cannot give me a refund since it was not returned within 30 days. Our account was charged the amount of $93.87 on 7-17-17 and again in the amount of $93.87 on 8-18-17, and we did not get anything back and the unused product was returned, I find that unacceptable.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive a refund for the product that was returned.

After reviewing Mr.' complaint, we'd like to apologize for the misunderstanding. We do have a very strict 30 day return policy. As a courtesy, we have processed refunds for the total amount of $187.74. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to process on to his bank account. In addition, his account with us was previously cancelled; therefore, he will not receive any further shipments. We hope he is satisfied with our business and we would like to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Sincerely,

Customer Support

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

False Advertising! Company does not give full disclosure of cost of product NOR its cancellation policy.
On 11/10/17 I saw an ad on my phone for Luminary Skin products which were supposedly endorsed by actresses such as Sally F-- this is FALSE. There were NO details regarding the purchase of the 30 day supply except that all I would have to pay is $4.95 shipping and handling. NOTHING was mentions as to the purchase price of the product NOR the 14 day trial policy and cancellation policy. On 11/24/17 at 4:03am my credit card was charged $93.87. At 7:56am I called and canceled the order and asked for a refund of the $93.87. I was told that I wouldnt get a refund because I didnt call "within" the 14 day trial! First of all, its only about a 9 day trial because they include the order date as part of their 14 day trial period, so by the time you receive the product 4 days later, you only have 9days to use it. According to the rep, I should have called BEFORE the "14" days were up not ON the 14th day!! GARBAGE!! NONE of this information is disclosed when you order the "FREE" product-- not the full purchase price of $93.87 NOR the "14" day trial period specifics, if it were, I would have NEVER ordered the product. I ordered the product on 11/10/17 and Cancelled on 11/24/17-- that is 14 days yet they still said that I could not get a refund and offered me two more free bottles of their product, which I don't want.
This company is a complete SCAM!! Their products are NOT endorsed by the actresses they claim and their cancellation policy and purchase prices are NOT disclosed when you order the "FREE" product.
Their customer service reps are RUDE and I would NEVER do business with nor recommend doing business with NutraGlo Ageless/Luminary Skin products!!

Desired Outcome

I would like a complete refund of my $93.87

Customer Response

The business has refunded my money today 12/11/17. Thank you for your help.

Charged unknowingly for products I did not receive.
Ordered trial merchandise for 4.95 and 4.90. Credit card billed 93.87 and 93.79. Did not receive additional shipments. Called company and cancelled per VISA. Unable to get refund from company. Filed dispute with VISA. No cooperation from company. Dispute still in progress.

Desired Outcome

Refund.

To Whom This May Concern,
We have reviewed Mrs. ***'s complaint regarding her account with us. She ordered a full 30 day supply of Lumiere Ageless moisturizer and eye serum on August 18, 2017. We do not offer sample sizes. We sent her full size bottles to try for the 14 day trial period to see if he liked it, for just the cost of shipping and handling on a subscription basis

Our records indicate Mrs. has been refunded through her financial institution by disputing the two charges in the amount of $93.79 and $93.87. Unfortunately, due to this we are unable to refund the charges as requested. We take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction and apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Customer support

I received an unauthorized charge of $93.87 from the company.
Luminary Skin Care claimed that their product was endorsed by Sally F. On September 15, 2017 I ordered their free 1 oz. skin revitalizing moisturizer for a shipping charge of $4.95. My order number was: *** Two weeks later on September 29, 2017 I was charged $93.87 to my Citi Bank credit card. When I called Luminary Skin Care on September 29, 2017 they stated that there is an automatic reorder of the product within 14 days if the customer doesn't notify them to cancel the product. I told them that was never stated in the agreement and that I wanted to cancel the new shipment. They said they would cancel the order but I would still be charged $93.87 for the free product that I received. I expressed my outrage at this consumer fraud, but they refused to refund my money. I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and they reversed it pending their investigation. Citi Bank has now informed that after their investigation they are reversing my credit. I am reaching out to you because such a fraudulant business should not be allowed to continue to take advantage of people. The companys address on the product label is ***, CA *** and telephone number ***.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting a refund of $93.87 that was illegally charged to my credit card.

After reviewing Mr. complaint, we would like to apologize for the misunderstanding. We do not offer sample sizes and for this reason, you are sent a full 30 day supply and are given 14 days to try our product at just the cost of shipping and handling. Once your trial period expires, you are billed the retail price of the product. Our records indicate Mr. contacted us and had his account cancelled on 9/29 and Mr. was refunded by his financial institution through the dispute process. At this time, Mr. will not receive any further shipments and there is no further action for us to take. We hope he is satisfied with our business and we would like to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

This is a scam!!
They advertise a free sample (you pay shipping). What they don't tell you is that you must cancel your account within 14 days, because it is a trial, not a sample, or you will be charged almost $94 for the sample they sent you. They claim it is all in the advertising....must be the tiny print that no one sees! I called them to reverse the charge and was told they could not do that because it was past the 14 days. It wan't until I told them I'd complain to the Revdex.com and any other authority that I had to in order for this not to happen to anyone else, that they said they would refund 50%. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE PEOPLE!

Desired Outcome

Full refund.

To Whom It May Concern:
After reviewing Ms. complaint, we want to apologize for any confusion and for the delay in our response as we just received notification of her complaint. We have a monthly subscription-based schedule, per many requests from our regular customers. This allows our active, on-the-go customers the convenience of automatically receiving their skin care regimen. We send our customers the full-sized product and they are given a 14-day trial period to decide if they like our product for only the cost of shipping and handling. After the trial, they are then charged for our products at the full retail price and enrolled in our subscription-based schedule. Our terms and conditions have remained on our website and we apologize if Ms. did not see them upon placing her order.
Upon looking over Ms. account with us we can confirm that she started her trial with us on November 13, 2017 for the shipping cost of $4.95 and $4.90. After her trial ended on November 27, 2017, she was then billed $93.87 for the full-sized products that were shipped to her and enrolled into our monthly subscription. Our records indicate that Ms. called us on November 28th, and on a recorded line agreed to keep the products and receive a 50% refund. However, because *** satisfaction is our aim, we will be sending Ms. a refund check for the remainder of the November charge previously mentioned, making a total reimbursement of $93.87. This should take roughly 5-7 business days from the issue date to be received. Before we send her refund check, we need to follow up and verify that the address listed on this complaint is still accurate. Please respond confirming the current address, or provide us with an updated address in your response.
We are committed to customer happiness and regret that you did not initially find that with our company. We sincerely hope that this settles any grief you had with regard to our company and want to again apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

Customer Response

They refunded me 50%

Skin care line scam. Sample trial offered- no stamentent under terms and conditions about automatic subscription. Will not give a full refund.
Purchased-trial skin care-11/6/17 from a Facebook link. Clicked on the terms and conditions- did not state there would be an automatic subscribtion. A charge posted on my cc today, 11/21/17 for $93.79. Called the company who canceled me from their system but would not provide a full refund even after I stated that the terms and condition link did not state any authorization of an automatic subscription. They offered to refund half. This is a complete scam. Even the emails they send do not have any link back to their company. The emails do not include any company information of have a way for you to even contact them, no phone number, no email, no website. This company is scamming online and should be stopped.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund and for them to not send me any products. I do not want to do any kind of business with a company that is running scams.

Sent back product, was promised a refund, but after nine phone calls over a 2-month period, am now refused a refund.
I purchased two skin-care items (one facial cream and one eye serum) on a sample basis on 6-5-17, one for $4.95, and the other for $4.90 from a company called Luminary. I did not realize at the time that my debit card would be used to continue to pay for monthly shipments of these items and subsequently received further shipments on 6-19-17 and 6-20-17; 7-18-17 and 7-20-17; as well as 8-18-17 and 8-24-17. I was charged $93.87 each shipment for one of the items and $93.79 for the other. After receiving the shipments in August, I decided I did not want any more products. I called On August 25 to cancel future orders and to get instructions to return the last two items for refunds. I was given RNA numbers (return authorization numbers) for both products and shipped them to the P.O. Box told to me. (The skin cream RNA was *** The eye serum RNA was *** I was told it was ok to return both products in the same box.)

I contacted the company four times (August 29 twice, August 30, and August 31) before finally seeing a refund for one of the products ($93.79) on my bank statement. When I did not see a refund for the second product, I called again on September 18, September 21, September 27, October 16, October 26, and November 9. For every one of these calls I was told by an "agent" that they would certainly send my information to the Refund Department and make sure I would receive my refund. The last person I spoke with on November 9 was Franco, Agent *** He assured me that something must be going on with the Refund Department and I should receive my money in the next few days or I should call again.

Today, November 15, 2017, I called to complain one more time and spoke with "Amoro" (sp?), Agent *** She transferred me right away to a "supervisor" named Josh, Agent *** He listened to my story and told me that it was too late to receive a refund because the request was too long ago. I reminded him that I had called so many times and he demanded I tell him the dates, times, and agent numbers from each time I had called. I had not written all of those names and numbers down, but was able to look up the phone calls on my cell phone call list.

I believe I was put off in receiving my refund so long in order that the company would have an excuse to say that it was so long ago that they did not have to honor my refund. He also told me that his company had tried to issue a refund to my checking account but my bank "would not accept it"! I pointed out to him that the first refund was sent to the same account at the same bank and someone in his company must have made an error if it was not acceptable to my bank, but he denied this possibility.

Desired Outcome

I wish to receive my refund for the remaining item I returned in good faith back in September, for the amount of $93.87. Please help me to obtain this.

I am accepting the response because it addresses the issue accordingly. All I have requested is for the refund due me for returning the product. However, it is a bit disturbing that it has taken 16 months for this to be resolved!

Customer Response • Mar 28, 2019

Dear ***

Thank you for your email regarding my complaint and proposed resolution. I notice on the company's response that they wish to know my current address so as to send a check to me. I am not sure how to go about this unless it is something the Revdex.com can do on my behalf. I tried accessing their website but it does not load correctly and I also attempted to phone them and got in a queue that was too long to wait for.

Are you able to forward my current mailing address to this company? It is: ***, XXXX *** Marysville, WA 98270

If you cannot do this, please advise as to how to proceed. Thank you, again.

Ordered trial and was told if I cancel and return product I would be refunded.
Ordered trial of Luminary on September 6, 2017 and my credit card was charged only for the shipping and handling fees of $1.95 for Uplift and $4.95 for Luxeglow. Did not receive product for almost 2 weeks. Was charged monthly fee of $93.79 for Truderm on September 22, 2017 and $93.87 for Hydraglowskin on September 20, 2017. I immediately called and representative told me that I was past the 14 day trial period. I explained that I had just received product a few days ago and it was not fair that I wasn't given a full 14 day trial and that I want to cancel the subscription. He said as long as I mailed unused portion back, my credit card would be refunded. He gave me a return # *** and told me to mail it back to: Product Return Center PO Box 23836 St.Petersburg, FL 33742. I mailed back product and got a confirmation under USPS tracking # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX that they received it on October 16, 2017. I then called today November 10, 2017 and spoke with rep named Kara *** and was told that I was not being refunded because "I took too long returning the product". She was extremely rude. I explained that I was never told I had to return the product by a certain date and she said there is nothing she could do about it and they will not refund my credit card.

Desired Outcome

I would like my credit card refunded for the following amounts charged: $93.79 for Truderm and $93.87 for Hydraglowskin

Customer Response

You may close this claim. The company has now refunded my credit card.

No mention of monthly charges after paying shipping for trial. Charged for September and October. They refunded October. Want September refund.
Very rude talking to them. They hung up on me. Want my refund for September as they did not mention this in their ad. Thank you.

Desired Outcome

93.87 for September, 2017

We do not offer sample sizes and for this reason we allow our customers to try our full 30 day supply of product at only the cost of shipping and handling for a limited time of 14 days. Once your trial period expires, you are billed the retail price of the product and enrolled in a subscription to see continuous results with our product. Our records indicate we refunded Ms. a total amount of $187.66 when she called in on 11/03. Because customer satisfaction is very important to us, we have refunded the remaining charges from September. Please allow an addition credit of $187.66 to process on to her bank account within 3-5 business days. In addition, her account was also cancelled; therefore, she will not receive any further shipments. Customer Response

Thank you for your assistance. They have refunded me for the remaining amount.

I received a charge on my debit card for an amount I never authorized. Then they had me automatically enrolled for future shipments.Absolutely wrong.
This is a debit charge that showed up on my card 10/27/2017 at 4:05 am in the amount of $93.87 and all I have to go off of is a description from the statement... Uplift 866-7558363 CA. When I called this number it was a very poor connection on their end and she only could tell me that all future purchases will be cancelled after this phone call but said I could not get my money back. I never bought anything or agreed to buy anything from this place... EVER. She is trying to tell me I had a 14 day time period to return this product before being charged. I would have NEVER have considered this had this been the case. I never sign up for any free samples and did this time but it did not have any financial stings attached that I saw. Please help me get my money retured. Very wrong.

Desired Outcome

I would like my $93.87 refunded back to my debit card and no more shipments ever from them as they have proven to be scams.
