       Macy’s account ending in...

[redacted]
On behalf of Department
Stores National Bank:
Contact Date with Customer:  February 9,
2016
Complaint Summary:  [redacted] had fraudulent
purchases on her account and has submitted the proper forms to Macy’s.  Some of the charges have been removed, but
some are still on her account and she wants them removed as soon as possible,
and all fees removed as well.
Resolution:  I called [redacted] and apologized for any
inconvenience she may have experienced.
I informed her that all of the remaining charges have now been removed
from her account.  I also let her know
that I have credited all interest charges and a late fee.  These adjustments along with a payment of
$193.88 from February 8, 2016 leaves the account with a credit of $284.97,
which she should see on her next statement; and removed the reported late
payment from her credit report.  This
settled her complaint.

Dear
[redacted]:

On
behalf of Macy's Executive Office I was asked to review this issue, case...

#
[redacted]. After thorough examination we have determined the circumstances
surrounding [redacted] situation and have reached an appropriate resolution.

Mr.
Zhang purchased a piece of luggage and was promised an accommodation adjustment
of $27.62. That credit, unfortunately, was not processed in a timely manner.
The credit as promised has now been processed effective September 18, 2015. In
speaking with [redacted] he requested a wholly unreasonable additional amount as
further accommodation for the delay. On behalf of Macy's I rejected this offer.
We did however, offer an equitable amount and he declined. Based on the above
circumstances  we consider this matter
closed.

Sincerely,

            Macy's account ending [redacted]
Dear
[redacted]:
I am
in receipt of your complaint forwarded to us by the RevDex.com.  As a representative of Macy's
Executive Office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf
of Department Stores National Bank.
We
regret any misunderstanding that may have occurred in regard to our Special
Event Account promotion.  The Special
Event Account is for no interest that is deferred for 12 months.  Federal regulations control how payments are
applied to your account.  First, your
minimum payment due is taken from your payment for each account type.  Then, any remaining amount is applied to the
balance with the highest interest rate (APR).
This benefits you as it reduces the amount of interest charges you are
paying.  I do apologize for any
miscommunication that may have occurred when the Special Event account was
opened.  I have included an audit from
December 2, 2014 to January 16, 2016 and corresponding statements for your
review.  It appears that the payments
were applied to the account according to regulations.
[redacted], thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the
opportunity to respond.  After reviewing
the attached audit, do not hesitate to contact me at the telephone number
listed below if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Cathy D.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
Regards,
[redacted] I don't know how to explain myself properly as I am not a lawyer. I'm now being asked to fill out a fraud statement almost 2 years later to report the person that I think made the purchase, but my credit card wasn't stolen (it was not used at all to make this purchase). I paid off the initial purchase thinking that I had made it and inadvertently forgot about it but after looking at the dates of the transaction I realized that I was working that day for 24 hrs..... I am totally confused on how someone was able to walk into the store and make a purchase on my account w/o a credit card. I'm now being asked to either give up that persons name (who I think did this) or pay the bill but there were No authorized users on this account...... I guess A Judge is going to have to figure this out because I'm not satisfied w/ any of the solution thus far.... Again I say all this could have been handled in October 2015 if I had received a bill....

Dear [redacted]:
I am in...

receipt of
your complaint filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy’s
Executive Office, where as a liaison, I was asked to review and respond to your
concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank.  Please accept my apology for the level of
service you described receiving and for any inconvenience this situation
regarding your account may have caused.
My review confirmed
that the bank reduced the credit limit of your account after a scheduled review
of your credit bureau. A letter was sent
to you (enclosed) informing you of that change and explaining the reasons they took
that action.  We are unable to increase
your limit to the previous level.
Moreover, because the account was closed at your request on February 24,
2016, it cannot be reopened.
As of the date of
this letter, your account balance is $101.88, with a $95.00 payment (including
$54.00 past-due) due by May 16, 2016.
[redacted], while
we would like to respond positively to every customer, at times it is not
feasible.  If you need assistance on another
matter, feel free to call me at the telephone number noted below.

On behalf of Department
Stores National Bank:
Contact Date with Customer:  December 5,
2015
Complaint Summary:
[redacted] was told the pay-off amount for her account
after removing a late fee, and submitted a payment for the balance in
full.  However, her next statement had
another late fee applied. She asks that
her balance be adjusted to zero.
Resolution:  I called and spoke to [redacted], and
apologized for her experience.  I
informed her that a late fee in the amount of $38.00 and an interest charge of
$2.36 were reversed.  However, her
payment was received late.  I informed
her that as a gesture of goodwill, I removed an additional late fee of $38.00
and interest charges of $4.00, for a credit of $40.00 on the account.  We are refunding that to her by check, which will
be received in the mail in 7-10 days.  I
also confirmed that her account was closed on November 13, 2015.  This resolved her complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I hope that Macys will attend more closely to suspicious activity on their credit cards and that in the future card holders will be updated frequently in the event of fraud. I did get a couple phone calls since my last letter from a technical support representative and we were able to fix my online account problems so thank you for that.

August 30, 2017    [redacted]   Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted]        Macy’s store account ending in [redacted]   Dear [redacted]:   We are in receipt of...

your complaint filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office, where as a liaison, I was asked to review and respond to your inquiry on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my apology for any concern or inconvenience this situation may have caused.   My research confirmed that your purchase on August 23, 2017, of $284.77, was placed on hold for security reasons to protect your account and submitted to Macy’s Credit Authorizations for review. Unfortunately, they were unable to verify that it was you that was shopping with their authentication process, and you would not complete the additional verification step that was requested. Therefore, the purchase was declined. With regret, this letter will also confirm that your account was closed at your request on August 23, 2017, and has a zero balance.   Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the opportunity to respond. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
[The only further contact we had was a phone call to send me a return label but they will not honor the original sale to exchange for a suit of the same original value as this suit itself as they say the sale is over for a while but that is their own fault for ignoring my case for so long and dragging out this Revdex.com report so long that yea now at this point the sale is way over. They only have themselves to blame for that. I offered them to accept a simple exchange in store or  online for a suit of the same value as the actual suit that I have not tp just refund the sale price and that I will accept that as final conpensation but they do not want to do that because they sent me a gift card for 150 which was meant to take care of what happened up until this suit ie the company error to begin with all the mostakes and errors they made along the way and sending me a suit with imperfect stiching WHICH I SENT IN PICTURES TO THE Revdex.com on previous letter and the 150 was to compensate all of what occured  not to deny me the ability to exchange the 2nd suit that they sent me which doesnt fit me. For a suit of equal value. Ashe kept saying that I simply dont like the quality and kept ignoring me when I said it doesnt fit me. I believe that after all that transpired all Im asking at this point is to exchange a suit which I have with original tags and all for a suit of actual equal value then I would be willing to forgive this case but they want to be stubborn and make threats now that I just keep rebutting their response and for no reason but they havent given me any reason to close the case I have a serious claim against them and they  are constantly trying to make it like its my own issue and  they have done so much for me etc ehich is not true so why should I accept that.

account ending in [redacted]   Dear [redacted]:   I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com, which was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office. As a representative in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience and frustration you experienced regarding this matter including the representative who disconnected the online chat without first confirming with you.   When an account is reported lost, we will issue a replacement card to the address listed on the account. Our records indicate that we reported the Macy’s [redacted] account and Macy’s store account lost several times in the past with the most recent activity with a Macy’s store account in 2017. The Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted] was opened on June 5, 2009, and closed on February 8, 2013, by the customer. On September 27, 2017, we reported the Macy’s store account ending in [redacted] lost and the system generated a new account ending in [redacted] and a replacement card was not issued. On November 20, 2017, the Macy’s store account ending in [redacted] was reported lost and a new account ending in [redacted] was issued. A replacement card was requested. On December 27, 2017, the address was updated. On this same date, the account ending in [redacted] was reported lost and a new account ending in [redacted] was issued, but no card was sent. This account ending in [redacted] has a $25.00 credit balance for the courtesy adjustment from November 20, 2017. On January 14, 2018, you called stating that you had not received the Macy’s store card. On the following date, we reported the Macy’s account ending in [redacted] lost, and changed the address again which matches the one listed above. I requested that a card be sent to you for the newly issued Macy’s account ending in [redacted]. I also requested a refund check for the $25.00 credit balance, which you will receive within 7-10 business days. Please note that we do not send out billing statements when an account has a zero ($0.00) balance. The representatives who initially reported your card lost on September 27, 2017 should have ensured that a replacement card was issued and confirmed the address. Since then, we changed your address on two separate occasions. Be assured that I have shared your complaint and my response with the appropriate management.   I understand you are requesting some type of compensation; however, Macy's does not provide compensation due to a situation such as this. With respect to the pair of shoes that you referenced you returned to the Macy’s Pembroke Lakes store, please provide me a copy of the receipt, and I will be happy to further research this matter. Thank you for the time you took to bring your concerns to our attention and for giving me the opportunity to respond.
