It is always a pleasure to deal with the people at Mattioni's. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable with the service and that you understand what is being done.They are a very nice company to deal with.

We started using Mattioni Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling earlier this year and have been very glad we made the switch to them. The most recent need was to replace our old furnace. I believe that we received a very fair price and had the work completed very efficiently. Lou, who was the technician on the work, was very helpful explaining the job, neat in his work, completed the work quickly. We were very satisfied with the experience and will not hesitate to recommend Mattioni and Lou in particular to our friends.

Great service for my annual heating inspection and good explanation about what was going on.

Paul M. performed my gas fireplace service. I have used Mattioni for at least 30 years and have recommended them to many people. Once again the service and attention was above and beyond! The best.

Review: On Thursday 1/23/14. I contacted the above company for pricing estimate to come out to my home diagnose and possibly service my heating unit( It was only 40 degrees in my home that day). I was giving a quotation of $75.00 dispatch fee by [redacted] (receptionist). Before making a finl decision to have someone come out to my home that day I gave [redacted] a 2nd call to find out if quoted price also included diagnostic fee and time that it may take to diagnose problem. [redacted] informed me that diagnosis and time it took to diagnose was included in above price. [redacted] from Mattioni's was then dispatched out to my home, he arrived at 1545. Once inside the home and in my basement [redacted] then tells me that there was an additional rate to cover diagnosis and however long it takes to find issue. (total cost for 1 hour and 15 min. was $225.00). Friday 1/24/14 after 10AM. Aware that the damaged part(heating strips) needed to be ordered I decided to contact Mattioni's after not recieving any updated information or calls stating my part has been ordered, pricing, estimated time of delivery and service. I spoke with a gentleman in the special financing department who informed me that my application for special financing has been approved, part was ordered but will not come in until Monday or tuesday of the following week and the total cost would be $652.00 (which included parts and labor). I decided to cancel the ordered parts with Mattioni and contact the initial contracting company who installed the sytem in 2009 to see if I still had coverage on parts. I cancelled with [redacted] (receptionist) and told her I will contact them again if I needed the actual part installed. [redacted] informed me that this woud be okay and ordered part/s would be cancelled. Monday 1/27/14. Updated convo with the initial installating contractor states parts are no longer covered, however fee would only be $200.00 this includes $115.00 for parts, $10.00 for shipping, $85.00 flat rate for installation. Puzzled I decided to investigate pricing with Mattioni. Received phone call from [redacted] of Mattioni's who was dispatched to my home the previous thursday 1/23/14. [redacted] informed that the cost for their parts was $242.00, remaining price was for labor which was $410.00 to equal total cost of $652.00 for service. When questioned why labor cost was excessive, [redacted] informed me that the remaining price included his"expertise" and "knowledge" of the situation, and time it took to make the phone call to order the parts plus call me to let me know that the part was ordered. He then proceeded to tell me that the part that was ordered was "nonrefundable" but he could talk to his "warrenty guy" to see if he could get a "better" price for me. I then responded" I thought thats what the $225.00 I gave you was for"? With hesitation he states" It's for the calls I had to make to order the parts and then call you to let you know when the parts would be in". I informed [redacted] that I did not recieve a phone call from anyone, that I infact contacted them first on Friday when I didn't hear from anyone. He then says" Oh noone called you", I'm sorry about that". I then cancelled all services with this company.Desired Settlement: refund of difference between initial quote of $75.00 and $225.00 that he quoted after he arrived in my home. apology I feel as though this company took advantage of me due to my lack of knowledge regarding the situation and I hope this never happens to anyone else I would like for this to be made public knowledge and addressed!

Based on the situation you described, it appears that there was some miscommunication and we sincerely apologize if you feel that we did not explain our process in detail All of our pricing is given up front, and signed for by the customer in advance before starting any work, and after the job is completed. We pride ourselves on superior customer service and we apologize that you feel that you did not receive that. While our diagnostic fee is a separate charge then the dispatch fee, it appears that this was not explained properly to you so we would like to make that right with you by honoring your request to refund the difference of $150.00. Please give us a call back at your earliest convenience to arrange this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we look forward to hearing back from you to resolve this issue.

John did a great job. Clearly explained the work he was executing. Left reference information so that I can install filters on my own when needed. Before leaving he provided recommendations with estimated costs. Good customer focused behaviors.

I used Mattioni services to improve the quality of my home heating and Air conditioning system.
Dennis arrived on time .
He listened and understood my request for additional registers to be installed.
He then suggested an excellent solution for my register request.
He solution was intuitive, imaginative and very practical.
Dennis installed an Air Scrubber Plus Unit.
He was precise and explained every step in the process.
Dennis is an excellent asset for Mattioni.
Denis is motivated, friendly, hard-working and dedicated to satisfying the customer.
My home is now a healthier place to live thanks to the efforts of Dennis.

Jared from Mattioni came to my house for an emergency appointment on the same day I called. He then returned another day on time to complete the work. He gave me a thorough assessment of the situation and made recommendations on the repairs in a way that was clear for me to understand. On both occasions, he was professional and courteous as were the people I spoke to in the office. As far as I can tell, the work was done well. He worked in my home for several hours and I barely knew he was around. He covered his shoes, worked quietly and cleaned up after he was done. He was also friendly with my dog. I’d recommend Mattioni and plan to use them again in the future.

Matt was a great and helpful technician. I was given constant updates on how my heater-tune up was going. I feel well informed and would definitely recommend this company if every tech was as good as Matt is.

Review: I contacted Mattioni for a service call to repair my heater.The heater would turn on but it only stayed on for a few minutes before it automatically turn off. A service person from Mattioni came by to my house and examined my heater, his diagnosis was that the exchanger was more than 20 years old and has a crack that causes the water to leak. He told me that the whole unit had to be replaced. While working on the unit, the service man broke off the drain spout when he was trying to remove the hose away from the drain spout. When I expressed my concern about the broken drain spout, the service man said that he was not worried about it since the unit is not repairable and has to be replaced. After Mattioni's service call I called another company([redacted]) to get a second opinion before spending $2000-$3000 to repair the heat exchanger. The [redacted] service man came and to my surprise and delight was able to fix the heater problem. His diagnosis was a plugged drain. He mentioned that Mattioni's claim that the drain spot broke because the unit was more than 20 years old was not correct and it was only 4 years old (apparently [redacted] replaced is 4 years ago). The [redacted] service man was able to temporary repair the drain spout, but mentioned that the inducer motor had to be eventually replaced. He gave me an estimate of $817.00. He also gave an estimate of $214.00 for the furnace trap that was also damaged by mattioni's service man. The total estimated damage is $1031.00.

I then contacted Mattioni, and described the situation and asked them to pay for the damage the caused to the unit. However they refused to pay for the damage and told me that the only thing they can do is to fix it for me by themselves. I told them that I have lost trust in their ability to perform a professional job. They were not able to diagnose the heater problem, they damaged my unit, and it seems that they are trying to take advantage of me (a single mother with a two year old child) to pocket more money by recommending me to replace the whole unit.Desired Settlement: I simply do not trust that organization (Mattioni). They need to pay for the damage they caused to my unit.

Dear [redacted],I am writing in response to the complaint that was received by the Revdex.com on 2/25/2014. The reference number given to us is [redacted]. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to offer our perspective on this situation, as obviously this is something we attempt to avoid and fortunately do not experience frequently.We were called to [redacted]'s home on Saturday 1/25/2014 for a no heat call during our emergency hours. [redacted] described in his notes that he believed there was a crack in the secondary heat exchanger and that when he attempted to diagnose the unit further by removing a hose from the inducer motor it snapped off due to age and condition. He then reviewed the situation with the customer, telling her that it would be in her best interest to replace the unit rather than invest a substantial sum into a repair that ultimately would only act as a temporary solution. She then refused to pay [redacted] for his diagnosis, however she did eventually pay our emergency dispatch, load and travel fee before telling him that she was going to call another service provider.[redacted] called our office and told us that she had [redacted] out to her house and that they were able to get the unit back up and running by taping the hose back to the inducer motor. She then said that they quoted a price of $817 and $214 of that would replace the motor and assembly. At that point she requested that we pay for [redacted] to make the repair because our technician broke the hose during his visit. I apologized to [redacted] for the inconvenience that my technician caused her from his initial visit. I also informed her of our zero tolerance policy for unethical performance as well as our six decades of high quality service in [redacted] County and that our reputation relies on our ability to highly satisfy our customers. I then described to her that it is not our policy to pay for another HVAC company to perform services however we would be more than happy to return to her home and replace those parts free of charge. I explained to her that I cannot guarantee the quality and professionalism of another company. She insisted that we pay [redacted] to do the work and wanted to bring a family member into the conversation, to which I agreed. The gentleman described again their perception of the situation and I apologized to him as well and communicated that I had offered [redacted] to send one of my technicians out to replace the motor and assembly free of charge. At that point he was able to convince her to have us back to do the work. I scheduled her at a time that was convenient for her and dispatched my technician to her house with the necessary parts. Shortly after my technician arrived at the home, [redacted] refused to have him do the work and instead insisted that we pay [redacted] to do the work. I told my technician to return to our shop and I called [redacted] to discuss things. While on the phone I asked her why she had decided not to have us do the work and she said that because we broke the hose that we were financially responsible for fixing it. I reiterated that we were not charging her to replace not only the hose and subsequent assembly but also the motor. She then stated that she wanted [redacted] to do the work and that she wanted us to pay them. Again, I explained to her that we would not pay another company to do the work, rather we would be more than happy to do the work for her free of charge. At that point she threatened us with legal action and a slanderous complaint to the Revdex.com. I again explained to her that the last thing I want to have happen is for our company to not take care of her and again that we were more than happy to do the work she wanted free of charge, but that we will not pay another company to do the work:. That offer was not appropriate in her eyes and so we ended our conversation.If you have a moment to contact me with some guidance it would be greatly appreciated like to resolve this issue as soon as possible.Thank you again for the opportunity to explain our side of this unfortunate situation.

This is in response to Mattioni Plumbing, Heating &

Cooling in regards to reference number [redacted].

I received **. [redacted]’s letter. It appears that **. [redacted] did not fully

understand my concerns and dissatisfaction about the services they provided me.

**. [redacted] stated in his letter that [redacted] (service person)

diagnosed that there was a crack in the secondary heat exchanger and that I was

better off replacing the unit rather than repairing it. What **. [redacted] does not understand is that

the secondary heat exchanger did not have a crack and I did not have to repair

or replace it. The secondary exchanger

was just fine. The problem with the unit

was due to a pluggage in the line that was fixed very quickly by a service person

from a different company. **. [redacted]

talks about the high quality of work they perform at Mattioni, but he fails to

understand that as a customer I have lost trust in their work. I was only a few minutes away from spending

thousands of dollars on replacing a unit (based on Mattioni’s diagnosis) that

did need replacement. I do not call this

high quality work!

**. [redacted] also stated in his letter that when their service

person attempted to remove the hose from the inducer motor it snapped off due

to the unit’s age. Mattioni’s service

person ([redacted]) mentioned the same thing at the time he broke the piece that the

unit was old and was more than 20 years old.

Again what **. [redacted] fails to recognize is that Mattioni misdiagnosed the

age of the unit and the reason the piece snapped off. The unit is not old, it is only 4 years old

and the piece on the motor did not snap off due to age, but due to their (lack

of) workmanship and negligence.**. [redacted] has mentioned that Mattioni is willing to fix the

motor and the assembly free of charge but they cannot have another company to

do the repair because Mattioni cannot guarantee another company’s work. I am not asking Mattioni to guarantee another

company’s work. I am simply asking

Mattioni to pay for the damages they had done to my property due to their

negligence. Mattioni has been grossly

wrong on their diagnosis and repairing of my heater and I will not trust them

with any work they have to do for me.

Matt J. did the annual maintenance service on my HVAC system. He was very thorough. I appreciated his explanations of what he was doing and suggestions for keeping my system running well.

Needed a plumber for an emergency water leak one evening. Jared with Mattioni Plumbing, Heating and Cooling showed up in a timely fashion and quickly made the repairs to minimize the water damage. Courteous, neat, efficient, and did quality work.

They are always professional, courteous, clean, accommodating, and friendly. They show up on time every time. Dennis R. is the man
