This was our 2nd move with Meathead Camarillo and will call Meathead again the next time.

Review: I recently had a move with Meathead- the moving company with student athletes. Not only is this false advertising, but they will provide you with a nightmare move.When they began moving my items, which were all boxed, sealed and ready to go, they complained the entire time. Living in the Central Valley, it does get warm during the summer. However, I was promised that two strong, athletes would be moving me and that the warmth would not bother them. On the contrary, they not only moved slowly, but did not even come with water so I had to provide both water and gatorade for them.Since they showed up late in the morning, they felt it best to drive extremely fast on the way to my new home (with my antique items and China inside). I had to go over the speed limit to catch up with them. In addition, one of the men said he had a late night the day before and did not feel well. The entire time he was profusely sweating all over my items. In the middle of moving my mother's antique armoire, he stopped, dropped his end of the armoire and threw up in my bathroom. He used my bathroom continually after that for more times than I can count and did not even have the courtesy to wash his hands. Due to his illness, he left the other man alone to set up my antique bedroom set. I had to help him, a grown woman with arthritis and an extremely bad back.There is nothing athletic about this company. The one man could barely walk let alone "Jog while not carrying items". This move is now costing me additional money because my items, not to mention my bathroom, needs to be cleaned and sanitized. I am extremely dissatisfied and would never recommend this expensive moving company, that does not meet any of their guarantees, to anyone.Desired Settlement: As promised initially, "If you are not 100% satisfied with our service, we provide a money back guarantee". Apparently, this is false along with their clean cut, student athlete promise. In order to make this right, Meathead needs to finally meet their customer's expectations and give me a 100% refund immediately.

In regards to the accusations, we are taking them very seriously and making sure that this is not the experience that we provide. We are not sure what else we can do to make her happy at this point.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10678763, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, I would never recommend this moving service to anyone. No one from this corporation treated me with respect-instead just said "You are getting a free move, we don't care that we damaged your items". There is an extreme lack of professionalism with Meathead movers-they don't want you to comment about how your move was, they just want you to pay them and go away.

Review: The worst customer service I've ever gotten. The movers were very slow, unprofessional,and very careless with our furniture. They took apart our bed but could not put it back together, apparently they could not find the screws.My husband had to go to home depo to buy them. They took apart our table but when they put it back together they put the legs backwards and they had to take it apart and re-do it. They broke the mirror of our headboard and refused to take care of the problem even after I had previously purchased the insurance in case anything got damaged. I spoke with the manager to try to resolve the problem since we purchased the additional insurance, she said the the insurance did not cover for the headboard. This is my second attempt to try and get my headboard fixed, I will not stop here.Desired Settlement: I want a refund.

Per our last conversation, the mirrored headboard was excluded from the insurance.On move day, our crew was able to visually see all your items you wanted us to

move and noticed that we could not safely move the mirrored headboard. They pointed it out and added as an item that we cannot move safely.

Per your instruction, we agreed to still move it and exclude it from the insurance.

I am rejecting this response because: Your crew did not warn me, He advised me to pay the extra insurance just in case something got damaged or broken. But of course your customers are always wrong and your employess are always right. Did he tell you the type of service he provided, I don't think he is going to tell you how unprofessional he and his crew were and how they did not put my bed back together because they lost the screws, we had to go to home depot to buy the screws they lost. They also couldn't put my dining table back right, the legs were installed backwards and they left it like that. We had to tell them twice to put our table back together the right way. And that's not all, but of course the customer is wrong and your emplyers are not.

Meathead Movers Princess Packers just packed my kitchen things to put them in storage while we renovate the kitchen. Pachy and jacob (Prince-in-Training) were my packers. They did a great job! I especially liked the way the labelled my boxes. they actually listed things that were in the box (e.g. coffee maker, toaster, kitchen towels, wine glasses, plates, serving platter) so that when I unpack I will have anode which boxes I want to unpack first. They didn't label a single box "Misc" - which is the frustrating thing that most packers form other companies have done in previous moves.

I would definitely use them again!

Called Meathead movers, to see if we could schedule a move on Fathers Day. They were very accommodating. Trevor, Rick, and Dean showed up on time. Were professional, careful, and fastidious. Would use them again in a heartbeat!!

Review: Meathead Movers damaged about 200 square feet of hardwood floor in the rental that my family was moving out of. We witnessed the damage being caused by a crew member dragging a heavy piece of furniture across the floor and confronted the crew right away. Everything was documented immediately including photos and videos of the damage. The crew and operations supervisor reassured us that Meathead Movers would take responsibility and reimburse us for the damage, which our landlord would deduct from our security deposit.When we received our itemized statement with receipts from our landlord and forwarded these to Meathead Movers, they changed their story completely. Because the cost to demo and replace the damaged floor cost over $3000, the claim escalated to their General Manager. She conducted an "internal investigation" on the matter and determined Meathead Movers was not liable for the damage because the crew denied they were responsible. She also insisted that the crew had no incentive to lie, which to her was enough to invalidate the truth that we witnessed and documented the damage right after it happened.Despite all the promises and reassurances that they would do the right thing, this company does not take responsibility for its actions and avoids paying claims by conducting bogus internal investigations that result in them not being responsible.Desired Settlement: I am requesting to be reimbursed for the full amount of the damage that Meathead Movers caused to the rental I moved out of.

We did not do the damage to this client’s floor.

The client did approach the crew when the truck was fully loaded and our crew

is 100% certain that they did not drag anything across the floors. In fact,

they inspected the item they client said did the damage and there was no way

this item could have done that damage to the floor. The video evidence we have

shows two parallel scratches from the bedroom to the front door, very similar

to the path a suitcase would take. The client had two suitcases in the master

bedroom that were moved by the client when our crew was out by the truck. When

our crew came back in, that is when they were confronted and they felt very

uncomfortable that they were being accused of doing something they did not do.

In the past, we have been responsible for damage and when we are, we pay every

time. This is not the case with this move, our crew did not do the damage and

we will not be bullied into paying for something that we are not responsible

for.

Paul K and Ryan Trude were very professional, personable, and efficient. Great experience all around with Meathead Movers.

Meathead movers were wonderful to work with. The team comprised of Antonio, Raul and Caiden did a great job, they were courteous, efficient, careful with all furniture and cleaned up before they left. We were thrilled with the service that they provided for my 94 year old mother. We will use them again in a heartbeat.

This was our second move with Meathead. We had very high expectations; Bret, John, and Xavier exceeded our expectations. Thorough, efficient, courteous, and careful. Although we hope never to move again, Meathead would be our choice if it happened.

I had the most amazing easy move with Meathead Movers. Eric & Jonathan G. were wonderful. I moved form a down stairs to up stairs on a hot day. I can't say enough about their attention to making sure my stuff was not scratched. Thank you again guys!!!!!!

We had a very small move after a larger one the day before. Our movers, [redacted] and [redacted] were very quick, courteous and knowledgeable. They made the move very painless and fun. Kudos to this company.

I couldn't agree more with the other positive reviews for Meathead: these guys are first-rate!! I recently completed a move in downtown Los Angeles and found my OC move team to be diligent, efficient, and thoughtful. They saved me a bundle of money too as they completed my move in about 50% of the time that I was expecting. If you want to work with a reasonably-priced crew with high integrity, definitely check them out.

Meathead Movers is a thorough and reliable company and has helped me with two moves. In one instance, I needed help in a hurry and they came on one day's notice. I would highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend Meathead Movers. The pre-move customer service was helpful, friendly and willing to work with me to customize my move request. I have used Meathead Movers for three moves in the past five years. Each team has been prompt, efficient, professional and willing to go beyond standard moving help. They stay on budget with time estimates, and they are prompt and courteous.

My most recent crew of Matt Schwartz and Justin Reveles were excellent and helped complete a short unloading move under budget and within time expectations. I highly recommend them.

Review: On 3/20/15 we had Meathead Movers come to our home to move us to our new home. We had a contract with them that specifically pointed out that our new Dormeo, Octaspring, Sit N Sleep mattress was BRAND NEW and needed to have their extra TLC when moving. We provided a bag for the mattress and then it was wrapped in a movers pad. After a long day of moving, we decided to put our bed together so we could sleep on it that night. It was leaning against the master bedroom wall where the movers had left it since assembly is not their responsibility. At approx. 9 pm that Friday evening, my husband sent a text to Cole who met with my husband prior to the move with a quote and Brandon who was the mentor on this move. He explained that our NEW bed had been torn and that we needed a claim filed immediately. Cole replied to my husband saying they would take care of it AND Brandon came by the following Monday to pick up a piece of their equipment that was left behind. He looked at the bed and was very apologetic and said he was in fear of losing his job over this. Their website says 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed, right??? WRONG! Now a month later and I finally receive a call from Aaron saying they will only have it stitched. They will take the bed for 5-6 days to someone in Newport Beach, CA to have it STITCHED! NO! My bed was #1 on the PAY EXTRA ATTENTION TO and it has now been compromised since it was torn open. Bacteria, Dust mites, Bed bugs..who knows!?!?!? Since this is a "specialty store" purchase it cannot just be stitched! It needs to be replaced! I am not 100% Satisfied and they MUST stand behind their advertising and logo. If not, DO NOT specify that on the website. My husband also spoke with Mark at Dormeo and he said ANY 3rd party work would void the warranty.Desired Settlement: We have proof of the cost of the mattress and I want the exact one ordered and replaced!

We are very aware of what the client is claiming. Our moving crew does not recall the damage occurring. When they left, the mattress was leaning against the wall because the client elected to assemble the bed himself. The client did text our crew that evening reporting the damage and our crew was shocked because they didn't see any damage. At this point, we have found someone to repair and offered to cover 100% of that cost. The client did not like that because they say it voids the warranty. We have checked with our insurance company and they are looking into where our liability will lie with that. We have also offered to split the cost of a new mattress in interest of customer service.In regards to the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, we very clearly outline this on our website.
