[redacted] I do not accept the response, it is not my fault that all I wanted to do was make some extra cash and love to shop, so I received a check to go and evaluate a store. I have all the emails and texts that I received..  All I want is my $10. and my account back.  If it was my fault it would be a different story.  I can send all if needed.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  Although the money was finally deposited after a very lengthy time this does not help the fact that I missed my summer vacation with my kids and almost had my insurance cancelled. Nor do I understand why if the bank already knee there was an issue with the atm why was it not placed out of order? The only reason I got my card back the same day was because the repair man whom they already called happened to show up while I was there. I know this location was trying to help and supposedly it was the back office holding things up but this whole entire ordeal was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever dealt with and am I in no way shape or form satisfied with the response. You can apologize all you want. I am the one that had to live thru this and just an apology is not going to cut it.

response to the reply I received from you [redacted] on behalf of
M&T Bank in response to...

the complaints I filed with the RevDex.com ("Revdex.com") and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
("CFPB").
Yes, it is true that my
complaints stated that I sought to apply for a Small Business Administration
("SBA")- Guaranteed loan through M&T, but according to the denial
letter a loan entirely unrelated to my project an Express Business Installment
Loan application was submitted against my consent. Shannan [redacted], Branch
Manager of the M&T Kirk Avenue branch, did contact me in response to my
inquiry regarding an SBA- Guaranteed loan. Yes, I did advise Ms. [redacted] that I
wish to purchase investment real estate. However, I did not inform her that I
wanted an SBA line of credit. I told her several times that I wanted to apply
for a term loan to better accommodate my business venture. A line of credit and
a term loan are different since with a term loan I would receive a lump sum of
money, get it all at once and pay it back over a specific term. Ms. [redacted] you
state that M&T does not offer an SBA-specific application for any product.
I do not believe this statement since the M&T banks application has several
Business credit requests such as Line of Credit, Term Loan, Equipment Lease,
Letter of Credit, Commercial Mortgage, and other. The M&T Bank website also
list several loan types including the three products options you list and three
types of SBA Guaranteed Loans to choose. Although you state M&T policy is to
submit all request as potential conventional credit applications, I was never
informed of this policy until I spoke with Michael N [redacted]. If this were the
case, I would have never proceeded with the application which is evident of the
type of loan I advised, requested and consented to. Ms. [redacted] did not in
her initial conversation with myself advise me that the first step would
require submitting a conventional loan application nor did I receive a
conventional loan application. Ms. [redacted] did not explain that I would not be
directly applying for an SBA loan either. Nor did she advise me that M&T
does not provide businesses with lines of credit to purchase investment real
estate. That is a contradiction and false statement. It would and is irrelevant
to my request which is evident by my application I submitted to Ms. [redacted]. It
is also a false statement since there is an SBA Guaranteed loan called SBA
Express that has a choice between a Line of Credit or Term Loan. She did
recommend that I apply for a commercial mortgage on an individual property, but
I refused her recommendation since it would not serve my request according to
my application and business plan. She also advised me to register with SBA for
an Article of Organization because of my request. I have emails as proof. Ms. [redacted], it is clear that you are making false
statements about the type of application I submitted. This does not advocate
for me the customer and deem you unfit for such duties. You state multiple
times I submitted an application for a line of credit and towards the end of
your letter you state I applied for a business installment loan. My application
clearly shows a request for a term loan not a line of credit nor a business
installment loan. Ms. [redacted] did advise me that I may not be approved for an
SBA loan for the purpose of purchasing real estate. This was a statement Ms.
[redacted] and Mr. [redacted] made to me in person. I never presented an application
for a loan at the M&T Bank during my visit. Ms. [redacted] already had my application
for the term loan I submitted to her by email. Ms. [redacted] had no right to process my loan
application as she felt. That is my right and a violation of the Consumer
Credit Protection Act. I am authorized to use my social security number and credit
accordingly. There is obvious discrimination by the representatives handing my
application prohibiting me from applying for the type I loan I requested in
violation of the Federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act. I was denied the right
to apply for the loan I requested. A loan provides financing to new and
existing businesses that may not qualify under conventional bank terms. Working
capital can be used for operating expenses, and there are no listed
restrictions against real estate. I would be using the working capital to
operate by purchasing real estate to increase income.  I requested of Michael N [redacted] specific reasons
why credit was denied under the terms for which I had applied. Not reasons for
why the application was declined for an Express Business Installment Loan. An
application which did not include a request for a business installment loan
evident by my application for a term loan for working capital. Both bank
representatives have violated my rights that are protected by the Consumer
Credit Protection Act. The actions of the bank representatives of the M&T
Bank are violations of The Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and M&T Bank
Corporation is subject to fraud and civil liability for actual and punitive
damages.  I request and am entitled to a specific reason why
credit was denied under the terms for which I had applied. I request a copy of
the said M&T policy for all request for conventional loan applications. I
also request corrections of M&T's credit reporting of the Express Business Installment

Please include the following information below in my filing information. I've uploaded attachments of Nancy and my conversations. Thx, [redacted]  This is an attachment of the conversations through email with Nancy E[redacted] of M&T Bank. We established that email was the preferred method for her. In my emails I was description that I was waiting for guidance from her. After numerous attempts Nancy Never had called me back or emailed me. A total loss of time for me and an unprofessional respresentation of the Regional M&T District. I was only able to upload a limited amount of 3 attachments...and chose to do the most current. You can also view dates and time delayed that Nancy left me hanging in the open causing loss of time, effort, frustration and more by Nancy and the M&T District Representation of unprofessionalism, complacent execution to follow through or acknowledgement of a serious problem with one of their district branches.

I requested interest on the money I was due. The money was my mortgage payment that was late and I had to drive to another city to pay in person. I was accused of sending a fraudulent fax to the M&T bank. They did NOT accept the fax from [redacted]. They wanted me to fax my personal banking information to M&T, bank account and routing number. They would not let me deliver or email the information. I have never dealt with such unfriendly business practice in my life. The check was written on the 10 th, but never reached the post office till the 14, and I did not receive until the 19th of December.

had called before when they wanted me to refinance, so why not again? Notes:  I sent an early payment which the bank returned, then stated a policy never mentioned before about post dated checks. My original loan was with [redacted] and I never had any problems. This company (M&T) is a unknown financial institution to be researched. How they got my account has still not been explained. If they had cashed it, the check, the money was in the bank since I was sending the payment early because I was going to be traveling.  Instead they recorded that they did not receive the payment and put it on my credit report. Costing me long term problems. I wish them (M&T) to act like a reputable institution and give my loan back to [redacted]!! If not possible, to act like an American company instead of a foreign bank. The response seems to be blaming me and I feel they are not willing to work with me. The company states they called me several times. Well calls can be missed, I work in surgery and cant answer my phone during the day. If they had left a message I would have responded. Also, they have no problem emailing me special offers so they could have sent an email. Secondly they are claiming to have generated a mortgage statement on 9/21 which would have had the past due balance which would have alerted me. I didnt get that statenent. I have a copy of a statement for October which has no past due balance. Thirdly they are claiming to have sent a certified letter which was returned unclaimed. I never received a notification that I had a certified letter waiting for me at the post office. I certainly would know because my fiance gets them all the time. So if it was returned back to them how can I know anything is wrong with my account? This was a one time incident that I feel they should forgive due to the fraudulent activity on the checking account from which the payment was made. I have a statement from the bank in regards to the fraudulent activity. I took care of the issue as soon as I realized there was an issue and would like the late status removed from my credit report.  [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  M&T is still stating that my 81 year mother had my Checking account number.  That is a untrue statement.  The teller looked up my mothers and my joint savings account, and noticed that I had another account.  She then wrote my checking account number on the withdraw form and had my mother sign it.  They are not taking responsibility for this whole mess.   My mother handed the teller her banking journal that had her banking Code information.  I have also included the paper that the teller wrote my name and my account number ending in 3690.  The response letter said "On March 3, 2016, your mother, Benita [redacted], entered the M&T bank (Eden Park Branch and request to make a withdrawal and provided the account number ending - 3690"  This is what I'm upset about.  That is not a true statement, and the attached documentation is the proof.  I want them to take responsibility for  this whole mess!  In the letter it states that I would receive a check for the amount of $1,700.00 and they do not say if they are going after my Mother for the balance owed the bank.  I will not cash that check until I have in writing that they are not going to go after my 81 year old mother for a mistake that the teller made.  All she had to do was to tell my mother that she didn't have enough in her savings account. These are my reasons for my not accepting the response.  Regards,  [redacted]

The letter that the PR wrote regarding Nancy E. and this matter did not resolve what happened.. I am very displeased with the handling of my business and resulting complaint..and even more disatisfied with the unprofessionalism and chain of command process as noone acknowleged my responses or information that I provided. correspondence states you paid off the balance owed in your M& T Bank ("M&T") checking account on May 22, 2015, and requested the account be closed. The balance in the account at the beginning of the day was negative $219.07. A deposit was made for $228.06 on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 4:50PM. This deposit posted to your account on May 26, 2015. Also on May 22, 2015, a debit of $22.23 posted to the account and another recurring debit posted on May 26, 2015, along with a $1.99 debit for M&T Finance Works. Overdraft fees were assessed for the two debits that posted against insufficient funds. Note that the account could not be closed until any pending transactions posted. On May 26, 2015, you spoke with [redacted], Branch Manager of the M&T located in Bellwood,Pennsylvania, regarding the fees and transactions that posted after you believed your account was closed. As a courtesy, Ms. [redacted] reversed one of the overdraft fees, which brought the balance owed to $24.22. On May 29, 2015, another recurring debit for $106.02 was attempted and rejected, causing a non-sufficient funds ("NSF") fee to assess. On behalf of M&T, I apologize for any misinformation or miscommunication that may have occurred when you requested that your account be closed. Please note that all fees have been  reversed and the account was closed on June 5, 2015. I hope this information has been helpful. It's really just that simple. It's banks like yours that make people put their money in shoeboxes. You honestly give banking in general a bad name.  I will say thank you though for closing this bank account and I still reject that you are not giving me the $200 sign up bonus that was stated I would get during the opening of the bank account.  I will be leaving my review of your shady business practices on every website that has your banks name attached to it.
