Meineke Discount Mufflers (Boston Rd.) Reviews (113)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. ...

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  The bank clearly shows that I've been enrolled in the biweekly payment plan since 2013 and has failed to apply the payments properly for the entire term they have held my mortgage. This is a huge amount of extra interest that has now been accrued to my account because the bank felt that it was ok to hold my payment until the full amount was paid? What sense does this make? If the bank is unwilling to correct this error after I've contacted them directly and through the Revdex.com, my next step will be to contact the North Carolina Banking Commission. I hope this will be unesscary and that the bank will take the honest steps to correct this mistake. I look forward to hearing back soon. Regards,  [redacted]

Hi officer, my complaint is solved by my bank they give me money back and I closed the account with the bank. Thank you appreciate for help  Thanks

I have reviewed...

the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.   I will submit the documents asked by M&T bank and if the reimbursment is completed, the settlement is done. Otherwise, I will open a new ticket on this issue.

I have attached pictures of the paperwork we discussed on the phone. I have also attached the paperwork for the original date I paid for the stop payments which was 12-14-2015 & 12-15-2015, 2 weeks prior to when the charges where allowed to be debited from my account.  I called to find out...

why the charges were able to clear, I was told by an M&T representative that the previous representative who filed these 3 stop payments did them incorrectly. There was not supposed to be a specific amount on the stop payment because the amount was always different when the companies charged my account.  The way M&T bank is presenting the dispute on the signed papers(which I have not sent to M&T bank) is that I called the companies, [redacted] loans, [redacted], and [redacted] and told them not to charge my M&T bank account. That is not what happened. I paid M&T bank to stop payment of these charges and they let them clear anyway.  I am going through a debt consolidation company to pay these companies. I needed to make sure I was not going to double pay them. I did my part by paying for the stop payments and M&T dropped the ball. They have been extremely difficult to deal with. They have allowed other stop payments to come through putting my account in the negative only to return it a full business day later. These 3 charges total $622.62 and because that money was allowed to be removed from my account, I had other charges clear that they charged me overdrafts of $38.50 per item totaling $77.00. This may not seem like a lot to M&T bank, but I am a senior citizen and it is a lot to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

M&T case [redacted] filed with Revdex.com. AFTER FILING THIS COMPLAINT AND SUBMITTING TO M&T proof of all payments current I received. Lettet of default stating foreclosure proceedings. Loan # [redacted]. This letter was signed by [redacted]. The only response I have received from M&T since the filing of this complaint stated the company received the complaint from Revdex.com and were investigating. Next, I received this letter. (Attached × 3) I'm concerned M&T will move forward with forclosure proceedings before addressing my Revdex.com complaint. Mr [redacted] is the contact I mailed all proof of payments too. I hope you can help me. It is very stressful to continue to receive this harassment from M&T. I received statements of different amounts from the billing center weekly. M&T will "happen to locate" a mortgage payment I made months ago adjusting the total yet still show months arrears. The mortgage payments are current. Also now M&T increased the monthly payments beginning in April 2016. I have contacted Hud and Revdex.com. Can you advise further action I can take to prevent this. [redacted]

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.   M & T Bank does not acknowledge that their representative caused us financial strain by providing inaccurate information regarding our mortgage.  She did in fact say on a recorded line that Cenlar had paid us up until our next mortgage payment would would be due on the 28th of July.  PERIOD.  As I mentioned, I did not make this up, I did not intentionally put our family in financial strain.  We were AHEAD on our mortgage payments and had never been late.  No compensation has been made on there part to help with the strain that they have caused.  They have ignored the fact we were given the wrong information about our payments due upon transfer, and have only given us the same information that we already have.  This issue, in case they missed my multiple points is regarding the wrong information about our payments due upon acquiring our loan from another lender - not the bi-weekly draft.  There is no sincerity- just words.  Regards,  [redacted]

M&T
Bank has responded to the complaint. However, it has requested that the
Revdex.com not publish the response due to privacy concerns

Mrs.  [redacted] D. [redacted] called to say something was omitted from original complaint, please add:  My mother was allowed to remove $1700 from my husband and my checking account. The disputed amount should be $1700 not the $1,955.05 on complaint data screen Please correct the complaint.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  M&T Bank has waived only one of the two NSF fees charged to me. Again, this transfer was not originated by me though my bank's website. It was an error on behalf of another individual who usually has to pay me $1000 each month for a rental. I appreciate the gesture extended, but I am not convinced that I should be penalized for this transfer. In essence, this is similar to charging the depositor of a bounced check and not charging the issuant. A similar issue had happened in 2013, and I was advised by a bank representative that outgoing transfers would be blocked to this Citibank account going forward since it had already failed once. Thank you for the opportunity to explain myself. I hope you will consider waiving the second NSF fee too. Regards,  [redacted]

I called and offered make a payment but they refused to accept it unable I provided sentive personnel and business that could be used to steal my identity....

If they truly are attempting to collect a debt make the payment arrangement instead of attempting to steal my identity  Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:   Regards,   [redacted]

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I don't accept this explanation as they do not acknowledge that they are illegally citing the Patriot Act as an excuse to make customers come into the branch to deal with dormant accounts. Furthermore they now say they don't close dormant accounts,  that is the reason  they gave why they could not deal with this matter on the phone. They caused me to leave work early and it was completely unnecessary   Regards,  [redacted]

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  The response did not address the issue at hand. I had to get on a plane to make the transaction happen. How is that at all reasonable? A better response would be that you would review your practices, policies, and procedures for situations such as mine. You did not take into account my personal situation what so ever. Nor did it sound like you reviewed my multiple phone calls trying to avoid having to get on a plane to make a wire transfer for a real estate transaction. Completely unsatisfactory response in my opinion, a customer of yours for nearly 20 years. Regards,   [redacted]

acceptable but enraging. In response to Ms. P[redacted]'s lies to try to save face, there was no other customer, and she did not ask me to sit down and wait, she is attempting to portray me in a light that conserves her employment, which I don't entirely blame her for, self preservation and all.  When she told me the process involved filling out a request form and waiting a minimum of two days I stated I would just call the customer service phone number listed on the mailing instead since they could probably handle my request faster, which was true, they gave me a definitive 'no' much faster than the wait the request takes.  So in short, your customer service is terrible, and you're bankers are willing to lie to make themselves look better.  I'm also a huge fan of "As a courtesy we gave you back the money we stole from you."  Not entirely sure how you think that charging me the equivalent of over %100,000 APR and refunding it when I contact the Revdex.com is a courtesy but I think you should be strung up next to the horse thieves of old and left to rot for the crows.  Bravo, M&T, bravo.

I've been trying to get my title since February. This is when [redacted] taxes were paid. (Please see the attached document) I have made dozens of calls to get my title since February. M&T still hasn't released my title electronically. I would like my title released.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  While I accept their response, M&T needs to provide...

improved customer service as my choice of words appeared to be different from theirs.   I DO NOT  work at M&T, therefore, when I use the word STOP, it means to STOP, to not proceed any further! They need to train their employees to ask the appropriate questions to customers so that our meanings of chosen words mean the same thing! I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, with the exception of their customer service training!  Regards,  [redacted]

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  [redacted] requested a letter of guarantee from M&t five times in the
month of December alone. M&t  kept on sending the wrong document
holding up the payment from [redacted] auto insurance. M&t kept on sending
the full amount due on the vehicle and not the letter of guarantee.
[redacted] request this letter on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of december 2017
and twice more toward the end of the month. Then they requested it  on
january 2nd, 5th, and 11th of 2018. My vehicle was totaled on december
7th 2017.   M&t took over 30 days to provide my insurance company
the correct information. Then after receiving the payment made me call
the gap insurance that was through them. I payed M&t money for gap
insurance I should   not be the one bugging the 3rd party insurance
company. It took over 3 months and 2 car payments before my gap
insurance was payed off. I would not have occurred so many overdrafts
had I had my money from the overpayment on the car. 3 months for any
business is a little ridiculous  . I want the overdrafts refunded. If
you need any information about the dates please contact my insurance
company  [redacted] at [redacted]  Thank you,     Regards,   [redacted]

Your response is not clear, have you contacted Oliphant to verify that I paid off your M&t acount? And I have not recieved the letter that you said in your statement that you mailed to me, what does the letter say, and can you scan the letter and email me a copy at [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,
This is in response to a letter that I have received on 11/16/15 from Melissa M[redacted] from Office of the Customer Advocate office of M&T...

bank.
In the letter it was mentioned that I am not M&T bank customer (Attached file). However, I believe I am M&T bank customer and as a proof, I have attached the file for reference that shows up on my current bank statement. This is a reference copy of a transaction that I have made dated 11/01/15 using M&T bank's ATM machine located in NYC. I have purchased a product from M&T bank. In this case, the product was for $100.00 cash amount using my debit card from M&T bank. However, it states that I have been charged $109.25. It appears that I have been charged a fee of $9.25 for using M&T ATM machine. The fee is amounted to 9.25% for $100.00 cash that was taken out from the M7T ATM machine. I am disputing the fees.
As I understand, there will be fees for using M&T ATM machine. However, I believe that almost 10% fees for one time withdrawal is not justifiable. This is more than 50% of what I usually get charged for from other bank accounts. The fees should not exceed more than $3.00/$4.00. In this case I am disputing ($9.25-3.25) = $6.00 fees and I believe I am entitled to receive that money back. A financial institution should not charge $9.25 fees for $100.00 cash withdrawal.
Also, I am asking Revdex.com to take steps so that M&T bank or any other business shop charging such a large amount of fee fees for a nominal withdrawal for a ATM machine.
I would appreciate if this letter would consider both of my options 1) return me $6.00 fee 2) Ask M&T bank to stop charge such larger fees.
Please let me know if you have any additional queries and questions.
Thank you,
