In Good Faith, we purchased a home from Meritage Homes.  Years ago, we contacted Meritage Homes because we noticed 2 large cracks in our ceiling.  Meritage came out to look at it, and at that point we brought up our high electric bills to the inspector they sent out.  This was during the warranty period.  He told us that the ceiling cracks were normal and he stuck his head up in the attic and said the insulation was okay.  How can a crack in the ceiling be okay?  Anyway, they would not fix that either.  Since we have been in the home, we have fixed them 4 times and they just keeps on getting bigger   This was also about the time that our neighbor Pat Gentman had Meritage out to insulate her attic because there was none up there and her electric bills were so high. Yes, Meritage said they would fix our insulation problem as a courtesy.  The work that was done in our home WAS AUTHORIZED by them, per their emails and phone calls, or they wouldn't have sent someone out to cut hole(s) to start the work!  They couldn't make up their mind how to do the bathroom, so, they just hung us out to dry.  They took our bathroom shower apart, and, drilled a hole in the wall in the bedroom as per the pictures we provided with our complaint!  And, why should be we have wait almost a year for such work to be done?  Once someone starts a job you just can't walk away from it, courtesy or not.  We want reimbursement.  We want everyone to know that is considering buying a Meritage Home how they treat their customer's who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with them.  We do not consider this matter closed.  We expect the Revdex.com to hold arbitration with them...

If there is price error  and contract was never executed or accepted, why the Meritage ran the credit inquiry and brought down my credit score? Without accepting, can Meritage run the credit inquiry?I agree there might be technical error but how come sales agent called us multiple times and confirmed.. When sales agent called on 06/24/16 @ 1:30 pm ,she told manager is not ready to decrease further more as she checked with him,if you  want the home for the listed price i.e $295,003 we need to execute the contract on the same day. She checked with manager also on the price. if there is price error, how come manager also agreed for the price, ?And now through Revdex.com Meritage is telling there is technical error,but that was never informed to us and I haven't received the earnest money? Desired Solution:I am looking forward to move on the contract, if it is not accepted, I need compensation for  my credit report inquiry and bring back my credit score, as it is very much needed for home shopping.

The matter is not resolved.Someone visited my house unannounced...

on February 26th and did something with the irrigation system. This visit was approximately 30 days after the agreed upon visit. I received a call from Mr. [redacted] about 1-2 weeks after the unannounced visit indicating that Meritage completed the work. He could not tell me the name of the person that was at my house or what exactly was completed. I informed him that a complaint had been filed with the Revdex.com and that I preferred that all communication take place through Revdex.com communication channels. Furthermore, this communication is representative of the interactions that I’ve had with Meritage. The indication that this matter is a “courtesy” and that I’m attempting to get a free gift is at the root of the complaint. I am not asking for a free gift or courtesy. I am simply asking for a professional resolution to the proper delivery of a product. The product delivered (irrigation system) does not function properly. This is why I still request a 3rd party arbitration of the issue followed by a 3rd party evaluation of the irrigation system (at no out-of-pocket cost to me). As long as Meritage is conducting their interaction with the presumption that this is a “courtesy” to me, no reasonable progress can be made with resolving the issue.Please see attachment for a record of  the interaction that I’ve had with Meritage homes since October 2015 concerning deficiencies with landscape and irrigation system installation.

Meritage Homes does not warrant landscaping, as a courtesy we did have the sod in question inspected and at that time found that it was dormant. I was informed by Rep Christine C[redacted], that the inventory home that I was shown and purchased had already been designed and additions/upgrades were done. I would not be able to make any changes. Blinds were included. The last repair on the list was completed on the 5th of Oct 2017. A time frame of 8 months and 18 days after closing on my home that I worked SO hard for. My fault was to put trust to a company like Meritage Homes that didn't deliver by closing. Even now, as I watched the last three homes being build in front of me have blinds.

Revdex.com,  Revdex.com, As a courtesy Meritage did offer several months ago to install insulation in the areas mentioned within the complaint. The complainant did not respond to our offer for a few months, once they did accept the offer, Meritage attempted to schedule the work. Our subcontractors availability was a few weeks out. The complainant was not satisfied with the schedule and chose to file a complaint instead.  Meritage has no obligation to make any repairs to the home. The home closed escrow on August 25, 2005. The home has surpassed all warrantable periods. The complainant declined our courtesy offer of repair per the content of this complaint - therefore we do consider this matter resolved and no further action will be taken by Meritage Homes.   Best regards,  Meritage Homes Corporation
