Per the Website, this is deceptive advertising:"***, *** *** *** ***"When you select no -"*** *** *** ** *** ** *** *** How about supporting a Veteran, that risked his life in Afghanistan years ago, who was coming back to the United States to train Civil Defense Contractors to defend your freedomsDo not use the word "Protect" on your website, it is a misuse of the wordI "protected" our country overseas and continue to support operations in the Middle East, I actually do "Protect" your freedoms, it is an insult to use that word if your company does not stand but itThere were no clauses when I was being shot at in Afghanistan. What happened to Insurance being actual Insurance? Credibility of a company, actually caring about repeat business? I flew over 47,miles last year, amazing that this company is willing to lose ALL of my business and my companies business over one flight!

My apologies if my previous explanation was not clearThe reason for the trip cancellation was not simply due to the "fear of the Zika virus" - this cancellation was a doctor's order due to her medical condition (as a result of her pregnancy)If a letter from the doctor is required, I will be more than happy to provide oneFurthermore, the manner in which the "trip insurance" was advertised through Expedia was incredibly misleadingWe purchased this insurance solely for this purposeWhile I appreciate the response to this dispute, this is not an acceptable resolution - nor is it moralIf we are unable to resolve this dispute through Revdex.com, we will have to pursue other avenues.Regards,***

We have reviewed *** ***s complaint regarding the processing of her mother, *** ***s, claim for trip interruption reimbursement. Please note that the plan *** *** purchased on behalf of her mother does provide trip interruption reimbursement in the event of an interruption due
to a medical reason However, in order to confirm eligibility for reimbursement, the illness or injury must meet the plan requirements, in particular the individual must undergo examination and treatment by a physician at the time the trip is interrupted. From the information originally provided by *** ***, her mother did not undergo medical care while in the US due to a funding issue, but did so directly following her return to Romania. We advised *** *** that we would review documentation regarding her mother’s care upon her submission of same The initial review of such documentation indicated that the examination her mother underwent was several weeks following her return home. However, upon receipt of a request from *** *** for further review, we did confirm her mother underwent treatment within days of her return. Though outside the required time period as designated in the plan, we did agree to provide a consideration to *** *** and payment was provided on September **, in the amount of $244.00, the cost incurred to change *** ***s return airline ticket As this matter has now been resolved, we trust that we have provided sufficient information and this matter is now concludedShould you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our office

We have reviewed *** ***’s complaint and we are responding accordingly*** *** had filed a claim with our office for Trip Cancellation benefits due to the cancellation of his outbound flight and the determination made on his request for reimbursement.Regrettably, *** ***’s reason
for trip cancellation was not one covered under the plan. Please understand that the plan purchased provides reimbursement in the event of a cancellation due to a number of both medical and non-medical reasons as specified in the plan. However, a cancellation due to a weather related flight change or cancellation is not one such specified reason. As such, we were unable to consider his request for reimbursement. Please note that the plan in its entirety is provided prior to purchase for review. Further, the confirmation provided to *** *** contained a link to the plan, including the specified reasons for cancellation as well as the contact information for our office for any questions regarding the planWhile we understand *** ***’s disappointment at the outcome of his request for reimbursement, we hope this has provided further clarification of the claim determination and understanding that we must review each request in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan purchased. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our office

We are in receipt of the complaint submitted by *** *** and are responding accordingly. As per the information received, *** *** cancelled her trip due to concerns related to the *** *** The plan *** *** purchased provides a cash reimbursement as a result of a
trip cancellation in the event of certain risks, both non-medical and medical. One such specified medical reason is a cancellation due to a Sickness. Sickness is defined in the Plan as follows: Sickness means an illness or disease of the body which: 1) requires examination and treatment by a Physician, and 2) commences while the plan is in effect The Plan also contains specific exclusions to the eligibility for coverage. One such exclusion states the following: General Plan Exclusions In Parts A & B: We will not pay for any loss caused by or incurred resulting from:… pregnancy, except if hospitalized; From the information received, there is no indication that *** *** was suffering from a Sickness, as defined under the Plan, at the time of the cancellation. Rather, we understand that the reason for her decision to cancel her travel plans was due to her pregnancy and the concerns for the potential of an illness occurring in relation to the *** ***. While we certainly can appreciate and empathize with her decision to cancel her trip, unfortunately, as the reason for such cancellation, namely the concern for the potential of contracting an illness, is not a specified reason under the Plan, we were unable to consider her request for reimbursement. However, upon review of the communication with *** *** we do not believe it was clear that this was not a covered peril under the policy. As such we have agreed to provide *** *** with the requested reimbursement. Accordingly, payment in the amount of $1,154.50, the penalty held on this booking less the refunds provided, is currently being provided to *** *** under separate cover We trust this shall conclude this matter. Should you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our office

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
first the ins co did in fact not send me a claim form the first times I asked, thereBy lessening their requirements to have to pay a claimI had to call times to get the form(why would I keep calling back if I had the claim form) which by the way is another obvious deterent to the claimant to not file a claimWHY ISNT THE CLAIM FORM ON THE WEBSITE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE YOUR MISLEADING ADVERTISING..? by being required to go see a doctor is obviously a deterrent for anyone to not file a claim, which is after all obviously the desire of the ins co to not pay any claims whichincreases their profits, so obviously a rip offwhy should I have to go see a doctor and pay $for a claim and waste my time and moneyIt's not reasonable for a person to go to a doctor every time they feel naseaus or sick to their stomachwhat about the rights of us who do not believe in this pathetic alopathic medical system and do no go to doctorsIt's obvious by my not taking the flight I was ill, or else why wouldnt a person take the flight. this is just another immoral and shady insurance company ripping off the public by underhanded and misleading advertising to sell their Policies to uninformed buyers as they makeit very difficult if not impossible to find the tiny small print requirements of going to a doctor. so my plan from here is to file a complaint with the state of ohio attorney generals offc and state insurance boardand to post all over social media what a rip off this ins co is andput on al the websites such as rip off report....*** etcthis ins co just makes up rules to their advantage to make it impossible for people to file a claimI will also consider suing them in small claims court at this time

We have reviewed *** *** complaint on behalf of her son, ***, and we are responding accordingly. In her complaint, *** *** advises that her son, ***, cancelled his travel plans to Chicago because the event he was to attend there was cancelled, as per the
documentation submitted. Unfortunately, *** *** reason for cancellation is not one covered under the plan. Please understand that the plan purchased provides reimbursement in the event of a cancellation due to a number of both medical and non-medical reasons as specified in the plan. The following are the specified, non-medical reasons for cancellation which would make one eligible for reimbursement under the plan: Other Covered Events means only the following unforeseeable events or their consequences which occur while coverage is in effect under this Policy: a change in plans by you, an Immediate Family Member traveling with you, or Traveling Companion resulting from one of the following events which occurs while coverage is in effect under this Policy: (a) being directly involved in a documented traffic accident while en route to departure; (b) being hijacked, Quarantined, required to serve on a jury, or required by a court order to appear as a witness in a legal action, provided you, an Immediate Family Member traveling with you or a Traveling Companion is not: 1) a party to the legal action, or 2) appearing as a law enforcement officer; (c) having your Home made uninhabitable by fire, flood, volcano, earthquake, hurricane or other natural disaster; (d) Your involuntary termination of employment or layoff which occurs after your effective date of coverage and was not under your controlYou must have been continuously employed with the same employer for year prior to the termination or layoffThis provision is not applicable to temporary employment, independent contractors or self-employed personsHowever, the cancellation of an event, such as the rally *** *** was to attend, and for which he scheduled the trip, is not one of these specified reasons. As such, we are unable to consider this request for reimbursement on such basisPlease note that the plan in its entirety is provided prior to purchase for review. Further, the confirmation provided following the purchase contained a link to the plan, including the specified reasons for cancellation as well as the contact information for our office for any questions regarding the planWhile we understand *** *** and *** *** disappointment at the outcome of this request for reimbursement, we hope this has provided further clarification of the claim determination made and understanding that each request must be considered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan purchased

We have reviewed *** *** complaint and we are responding accordingly*** *** had filed a claim with our office for Trip Cancellation benefits due to the cancellation of his and his wife’s outbound flight and disagrees with the determination made on his request for reimbursement
Regrettably, *** *** reason for trip cancellation was not one covered under the plan. Please understand that the plan purchased provides reimbursement in the event of a cancellation due to a number of both medical and non-medical reasons as specified in the plan. However, a cancellation due to a cancelled flight is not one such specified reason. As such, we were unable to consider the request for reimbursement. While the *** were not eligible for reimbursement under the plan, we understand that ***, as a goodwill gesture, provided a full refund to the ***, for both their travel expenses as well as their protection plan fees. As such, the *** have been refunded in full and no insurance coverage remains in effect. We trust this has provided further clarification of the claim determination and understanding that we must review each request in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan purchased. We have reviewed *** ***’s complaint and we are responding accordingly. In his complaint, *** *** advises that he disagrees with our determination on his claim. Please note that we have again reviewed *** ***’s claim and have confirmed it was adjudicated
correctly. Please allow me to clarify that *** ***’s reason for cancellation was due to his work schedule and his inability to take the time off work that he had originally planned for this trip of 11/**/through 11/**/15. While we understand that *** *** served jury duty on 10/**/15, several weeks before his travel dates, this jury service did not prevent him from making this trip, as is required under the plan. Rather, the impact to his work schedule following the day of such jury service made *** *** determine that he was unable to take the additional time off from work scheduled for this trip and subsequently cancelled this trip on the day of departure, 11/**/15. While we certainly appreciate *** ***’s decision to cancel his trip to attend to his business, such is not a specified reason for cancellation under the plan and we are unable to consider his request for reimbursementWe trust this has provided further clarification of the claim determination and understanding that we must review each request in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan purchased. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our office

We have reviewed *** ***’s complaint and we are responding accordingly Based on the information received, *** *** cancelled her family’s scheduled trip because she had recently filed for divorce from her husband, one of the intended travelers, and she expressed some concerns
regarding *** ***’ demeanor when he returned from his months long deployment this August. Please understand that the plan purchased provides reimbursement in the event of a cancellation due to a number of both medical and non-medical reasons as specified in the plan. However, as a cancellation due to a legal separation or divorce of the travelers, or due to concerns of the potential for a volatile situation arising with one of the travelers, are not specified reasons for cancellation under the plan. While we fully empathize with *** ***’ situation, and her decision to cancel the trip for her and her family, as her reasons for such cancellation are not among the specified reasons contained in the plan, we were unable to consider the request for reimbursement. Please understand that this is a named-peril policy. As such, only cancellations due to one of the specified reasons contained in the plan would make an insured eligible for benefits Please note that the plan in its entirety is provided prior to purchase for review. Further, the confirmation provided to *** *** contained a link to the plan, including the specified reasons for cancellation as well as the contact information for our office for any questions regarding the plan as well as a notice of a day right to examine the plan to determine if it meets with the insured’s needs We trust that we have addressed the concerns raised in *** ***’s complaint. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I bought the plan that knowing that unexpected events do happen It is mentioned in the plan that coverage would be applicable in the event of a job loss, or other unexpected events etc a typical school rescheduling would not cause me to cancel tickets, but, I think it's unheard of missing a first day of school for a child That is equivalent to a job loss for a childI was confident that I would be reimbursed and was surprised when I heard otherwise.Thank you,*** ***

[Your Answer Here]These are more lies from this scam companyThe check they sent to me which I still have is non-cashable as per the tellers at two different *** banks and one check cashing serviceIn addition, one of Berkely's workers named Luis confirmed the same thingAs for any replacement check, I was and am only willing to accept one providing it is cashable, which Berkely would not guaranteeI am giving them until the end of this week to either tell me where I can go to cash the check I am currently holding, or for them to send me a new check that is cashable at any *** bank or check cashing serviceOtherwise, they will be sued and reported to all applicable news and social media sitesSince they already have had numerous complaints filed against them here at the Revdex.com, I think that my claim will hold up both in court and the media

We have reviewed *** ***’s complaint and we are responding accordingly. In his complaint, *** *** advises that he filed a claim with our office on or about April *** for cancellation of an airline ticket he needed to cancel for June *, 2017. He also
states that he contacted our office numerous times regarding the upload of his documents and did not receive a sufficient answer to the question posed. Please note, we did receive a number of emailed inquiries from *** *** with a question regarding the uploading of documents. However, at the time of such correspondence, *** *** had not yet initiated a claim with our office. When asked for a claim or reference number, *** *** provided the policy number. Noting that *** *** had not yet initiated a claim, we did provide him several times with instructions on how to go about doing so, both online and via telephone, as well as inviting him to call with any specific questions regarding the process. Following receipt of this complaint, and understanding *** ***’s issues with telephone communication, we did reach out to him again, proceeding to initiate the claim on his behalf and processing such claim with the documentation *** *** provided regarding his reason for cancellation. We advised *** *** of this on July *** and he was appreciative of these efforts. Please note that we finalized *** ***’s claim and sent payment to him, in the amount of $1,054.23, on July ***. We trust this has provided the necessary response to the concerns raised in this complaint Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
That was not the information that was provided to me via telephone I was told (via phone) that if I cancelled the original ticket that I would NOT receive a refund Instead, I needed to allow the trip to come and go I was also informed (via phone) that if I purchased a new ticket and there was a "difference from the original amount" that I would be entitled to receive the "original amount" and the "difference between the original ticket and the new ticket." However, that was only contingent upon me NOT cancelling the ticket and waiting for a response from the airlines I waited for days without receiving any assistance from either Expedia, AON travel insurance or united airlines and American Airlines After waiting several days, I called back to find out the status of my claim I was then told (over the phone) that the only way I could receive a refund for the difference of the purchase of the airline tickets was to provide "proof of the original itinerary, the new itinerary and my bank statement." I provided all of the information and only received the original amount Why would I bother showing my bank statement and the new itinerary if I weren't asked to? That would make no sense I was also asked to provide a "death certificate" as proof of the trip interruption, which I explained both in an email and over the phone that this caused a rifed with my mom because she felt violated I would have NEVER have done that if I would have known that I was NOT going to receive the difference and I also would NOT have waited for the amount of time that I did, to rebook her ticket, knowing that it would cost me more when I could have paid less
