This company advertises an A+ rating on Revdex.com. The actual rating is F; as low as it gets. If you deal with this company you are on your own. They can be contacted to purchase but in no other way. Their telephone is just a runaround and they will never answer emails. I bought a $1900 electric tricycle from them and when I complained about missing parts they claimed I had never been a customer even though I have the check to them as proof.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  This is not what my complaint is about......if they had read the complaint correctly,  the trike runs, however, there is no such thing as a "[redacted]" power boost and there is no indication that it was sent with this other than a piece of paper that states it is on the trike, also where is the indicator there are the stated "lithium" batteries that were purchased when ordering the trike. The bike shop that helped to put the trike together says these things are not here and were not on the trike. I am asking for a refund on 2 items that did not come on the trike. We fixed the damaged rear fender and the plastic shipping aid was broken into pieces as well when the carton was opened.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Thank you.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/07/28) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

The reply from Monica LLC does NOT resolve my complaint in any manor way shape or form. It is 100% consistent with their method of response which to pretend to so something but in actuality do nothing until the customer grows tired and goes away frustrated.

First, notice that Monica totally ignored a response to my main point of a refund of $132.50 which they charged me for lift gate services. The scooter is advertised as "free shipping". The shipping weight of the scooter is 260 pounds. I ordered this scooter for my mother who lives in Wisconsin at a single family residence with my brother [redacted]. I am 65 years old and have traveled the USA extensively and have never seen a single family residence with a loading dock. Without a loading dock lift gate service is required. Charging for this service when the scooter is advertised as "free shipping" if false advertising at a minimum but in my mind it is consumer FRAUD across interstate lines. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

The second issue regards the basket which does not attach to the seat. My brother contacted Monica several days after the deliver but did not receive any response until he repeatedly e mailed the company. Calling the company number on the web site is a scam as it is always busy. I have personally called dozens of times and never got anything but a busy signal. Finally, after many e mail exchanges with Monica, they asked for pictures which were sent many times. The pictures clearly show that the basket does not fit the seat. Monica's final response required my brother to remove the seat from the scooter, and mail the seat and basket to Monica at his expense so that they could "screw" the basket to the seat. The basket has brackets and the seat has attaching points that do not match. Monica is going to bdize the installation by just screwing them together. What Monica should be doing is send my brother a new basket that they know with 100% certainty fits the seat properly. If they want the old basket back include a ups label and my brother [redacted] will return it to them.

In conclusion the reply from Monica does NOT resolve my complaint with them.

Review: We purchased an Electric EM Scooter on 6/28/2013. It is now 08/06/2013 and we are yet to receive the scooter

We ordered an Electric EM Scooter from Omega Stores on 06/18/2013. We sent an email to the address on the website asking the company to call us and give us an idea as to when we could have the scooter. We received a call in less than two hours from a representative that assured us the scooter was in stock and would be shipped immediately. The scooter was to be shipped to a Christian youth camp where [redacted], the disabled son, was to work the next week. The scooter has yet to arrive and it is now 08/06/2013. We received two communications from the store; one less than a week after purchase that stated our order was in process and the item should reach us at any time now. The second letter, dated 07/16/2013 states that a supplier from Germany sent incorrect parts. I wrote an email, since they cannot be reached by phone or at least they never answer, telling them we want our money back but there was not response. [redacted] is back from camp and we still have no scooter.Desired Settlement: We want Omegastores - Monica LLC to refund our money either through the debit card or by certified check sent through USPS certified mail. We want this refund to be sent immediately. You can be assured that we will never deal with this store again and at this moment, we do not intend to deal with business in your state.

Review: [redacted] was ordered by my elderly mother to get some exercise. When ordering product, she added on the "[redacted]" or power booster as well as order Lithium batteries. There is no invoice to say that these things came with the trike, we have taken apart the battery cover, no where does it indicate these are lithium batteries and there is no "[redacted]" power, just a piece of paper that states it came with it. These same bikes sell at [redacted], there are no options you can add, this is misrepresenting the product, putting money in their pockets by saying these items were added, clearly they were not. As we are unable to return the bike per their website, this was delivered on 9/19/14 with issues, I had contacted "[redacted]" on Tuesday 9/23/14 and said he had written down all my issues and would have someone return my call, clearly it goes in one ear and out the other based on how many complaints there are about this company. No one returned my phone call and now, they don't pick up the phone. We initially had an issue with even getting the trike to start, the only time I was able to reach "[redacted]", he assured me the trike was tested before shipment which is another falsehood or they would have known that the wires were totally and completely separated from the starting mechanism. They did not come lose during shipment. The trike was gone over by a bike shop that specializes in electric trikes, they verified that there is no power booster and no lithium battery... I am asking that they refund my mother $535.00, the amount they charged her for misrepresenting additions to the trike. These people really have no conscience ripping off people especially the elderly.Desired Settlement: They need to refund my mother $535.00 the cost of the supposed lithium battery install and "[redacted]" booster that is not there as well.

Review: These people run a fraudulent business. They don't send what you order and then refuse refunds, They took funds from my bank for shipping on a produce advertised as free shipping. And after doing some searching I find this to be a common business practice for them.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund the moneys sent for orders they did not correctly send.I would like to see them closed down. I would like to hear he's doing jail time for bank fraud. You should do everything in your power to protect us consumers from his business practices.

Review: I purchased a Cozybike LE (electric bicycle) from Omegastores, 314 Main St.#4572, Wallingford, CT 06492 on 01/24/13. It was delivered by a semi-truck on 02/13/13. According to them, we were supposed to inspect the bike when delivered, and then we had 3 days to check it out. There were some parts missing to assemble the bike, and we thought there were supposed to be rear view mirrors with it. Their reponse was to return the mirrors for replacement and we never received them in the first place. That was on 2/14/13. We are from [redacted] and there was snow and ice and impossible to ride it then. When it warmed up in April, he took it for a ride for the first time, and the rear wheel was so far out of round that the whole bike jumped up and down. We asked them what to do about it, and of course, they weren't going to do anything about it at all. We have taken it to two bicycle shops and the one couldn't fix it and the other wants $400.00 to fix it. The bike cost $849.00 + tax of $53.91 making the total we paid for it at $902.91. We are just sick about spending that much money for something that is no good as it is. Their phone # is: 866-949-1080 (We have tried to talk to someone, and cannot ever get anyone.)Their fax # is 203-741-1040. [redacted] Home [redacted] Cell P.S. Consumer

Response:

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

There is nothing to accept. They didn't offer anything. The mirrors were not the main concern. The rear wheel being out of round is the biggest problem making it unable to ride. We are very disappointed to this response. It wasn't even 90 days when we let them know. There was no damage to the carton when we received it.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] (3 wheeled electric mobility scooter) from this company on March 11, 2015. It arrived via [redacted] approximately two weeks later. I assembled it on April 5, 2015 and it doesn't work. Since then I have tried repeatedly to contact the company, by email, [redacted] and telephone and have been unable to reach anyone at the business. The email was apparently delivered as I didn't receive an "invalid email address" notification when I sent it, however they didn't respond. This scooter cost me almost $1,000.00 and any help you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.Thank you[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would prefer to get it repaired but, if that's not possible, I would like a full refund, including the return shipping.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: my brother recently purchased me an electric bike as i'm a disabled person with limited mobility.it was purchased from"cozybikes.com"known as "omegastores or monica llc".my brother paid by an e-check which as you know is an immediate transfer of funds from one bank to another. upon checking on the order they said they needed to wait 10 days for the check to clear. the transfer is immediate.they sat on the money 10 days before shipping the bike.upon receiving the bike it looked ok,but upon riding it it seemed the regenerative rear brake system was not working.the dashboard has indicators for this as well as a speedometer which was advertised on their web site as well as pictures of the option.I sent them an e-mail questioning this and the response was vague.simply put"the newer model doe snot have that option"and yes that's how they spelled it.the selling feature that we really liked and sold us on the bike was the regenerative rear brake system, which simply put, recharges the battery upon application of the rear brake.the dashboard has all the indicators to monitor this funtion as well as the speedometer but do not work.even the owners manual was clearly a reprint of an original from the manufacture.language was not worded properly and was bound in a construction type paper.you can check their web site for pictures and text confirming my claim that they state the bike came with these options.we purchased this under the assumption we would get what was advertised.we paid for it and did not receive the product as advertised.the bike also has no serial number on it so I can insure it.once they see there may be a problem they stop responding to calls and e-mails.I did check them with you company and they did receive an "f" rating but we really liked the product because of the features.the brake system would help insure that I could get home without running out of battery power.with my disability I can't push a bike home.this company is obviously in the habit of cheating people who buy their products

Product_Or_Service: electric bicycle

Order_Number: XXXXXXXXXXc

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I am requesting a partial refund for the option that was supposed to come on the bike but does not.if I had to replace a regenerative brake system it would cost approximately 400.00 depending on model and manufacturer.I can't find out who actually manufactures the bike so I don't know what brand or model to get an accurate price on.since my brother issued the e-check to them the refund should go back to him.it's only right that we get what we paid for.you can go to "cozybikes.com" to confirm.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/07/10) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

they did not offer any settlement. if that option was not available at time of purchase it should not have been advertised as having that option. which was the the regenerative braking system. we had purchased the bike with understanding that we purchaesed the bike as advertised which CLEARLY states that the bike is equipped with this option as their web site claims. that is misleading and fraudulent advertising. that's against the LAW. if you advertise a product as being equipped with certain features it must be equipped with that feature.anything else is false advertising and again against the LAW. if they had changed their option package that is their right but they can't continue to advertise that product as having that option. they use this as a selling tool to make the bike more appealing to the customer. I feel I got taken by a company who knows this and thinks they cannot be held responsible. I received the notice you forwarded to me and it's contents clearly show a contradiction between the product advertised and the product being sold. I stand firm with my request for a partial refund of 400.00 for the option they no longer put on the bike. I paid for something under the assumption I was going to get exactly what I paid for. that was not the case. that response in itself does not make stealing my money right. thank you.

Review: I had purchased a cigarette roller on 11/04/2013 in the amount of $79.01. I had entered in the address of [redacted], [redacted] where it should have been delivered. It said it was going to be delivered there. I then receive an email from [redacted] stating that it was being delivered to [redacted]. I have never heard of this address so the first thing I did was contact [redacted]. [redacted] had stated that omegastores would need to contact [redacted] to change the address. There unfortunately is no customer service number listed, and so I had to email them. I had told omegastores that they would need to contact [redacted] and omegastores had stated that I would need to contact [redacted] to get the address changed. Omegastores and I had sent many emails back and forth regarding this missing order and they kept stating that I needed to send the product back, which was impossible because I didn't have the product to begin with. I kept asking for another machine, and then after a while of going back and forth, I finally just decided that I wanted my money back. They refused to do so as they kept saying that they needed to receive the item back first, which wasn't going to happen because I never once had it in my possession. After a while of me emailing them, they had stopped emailing me back so there was no way for me to get this issue resolved.Desired Settlement: What I am hoping for, is just my $79.01 back. I don't want to deal with this, or them anymore. I feel as though I was stolen from. I still have a statement from my bank showing where the $79.01 was taken out of my account if that is needed. As well as any emails that were sent between omegastores and myself. I just found out about Revdex.com otherwise I would have filed a complaint how long ago. I am really hoping that someone is able to help me out.

Omegastores agreed to exchange the sealed lead acid battery for an equivalent Lithium model. Prior to the exchange, I asked them to confirm that the replacement battery would also be [redacted]. They confirmed it was [redacted] in their email reply. The replacement battery they shipped me was only 48V 10AH, a full 20% lower capacity than advertised and confirmed in their email to me.
