Review: My son forgot his wallet there back in July 2015. I have emailed and left messages. No one will answer me, I'm very frustrated. He's 17 and his drivers license was in there along with $35 in cash and it was a nice leather wallet. I simply want a phone call or email me back and let me know if they have it or not.Desired Settlement: Just an answer to my question and an apology for not answering my calls or emails.

I do apologize that you have not heard anything on your lost item. I do see the email was forwarded to the park lost and found and if anything is found they would have contacted you. They do keep the emails and information on file just in case items are returned at a later time but if they have not contacted you that means the item has not been submitted to our lost and found department.

Review: I booked a room at Hotel Rome as did 2 other families I went with. I became aware that they put us in hotels off of the resort like 2 miles away so I called them and asked where I would be staying and the told me they couldnt tell me that until we checked in. Once I arrived they put me in a hotel at least 2 or 3 miles away and was not easy to find so I went to the front desk and they told me I booked at mykonos village which has nothing there but rooms and they claim this is a resort? it didnt even have a pool and a grave yard is right outside and they charge me 800 bucks? I tried to get a room closer but they wanted more money and I booked this room like 8months ago. They said I could upgrade to Hotel Rome but was over a grand and this was during the week. I stayed there before on the weekend and it costed me about the same im paying now and stay way far from resort.

Plus they call themselves a resort you would think it was for resort guest only but when I got there they were offering daypasses for 8bucks and they take up 75% of the resort so the ones that pay to stay there cannot enjoy themselves and have to wait over an hour to go on any rides. This does not seem fair! Can they just tell you its a resort and take your money like that? I feel like I was robbed and if I wanted to go to a park where I just buy a ticket for the day I would go to six flags or something.

There were so many ppl in the wave pool that I felt worried for my kids and I shouldnt have to feel like that on vacation. I could go on but these were the main problems. Normal tickets were 45 bucks and summer special is 8? This was my 3rd time there and other 2 times were not like this, it was so bad my kids never want to go back. If I stay at a resort I expect everything to be right there, not having to drive 4 miles and look at a graveyard for my poolDesired Settlement: I feel like they should comp me a free stay or give me my money back! when you click on your rooms it says where you are staying when you book but after you book your room it just says Mt. Olympus and im positive I booked at Hotel Rome. 3 families that say they booked there cannot be wrong. I can see ppl make mistakes but 3 families. The site has got to be misleading and they are screwing us on purpose just to get our money

I do apologize about any confusion but I do see that the Village location was selected while reserving online. When you view our website you have the option of Hotel Rome or the Mt. Olympus Villages. When you select a Village room it is at a cheaper rate because it is just a short distance from the parks and is listed online saying "This village room is located in one of our resort buildings that surround Mt. Olympus Water & Theme park and are spread over the famous Wisconsin Dells Strip. Registration is located across from Mt. Olympus Indoor Water Park." After you enter your information and reserve this room it again tells you that you are located at the Village offsite as well as in the confirmation email saying you are offsite and if you would like to upgrade to Hotel Rome to contact us. I see that your concerns about location were brought to our attention and we did assist you and find a Village location within walking distance and also offered an upgrade fee for Hotel Rome. With this information I would not be able to do a refund since this location was reserved and stated online and we did accommodate the guest by moving them within walking distance of the parks. Also included in this room rate was $100 a night room charge credit so $800 was paid but we also issued the guest $300 to use while staying here to make purchases.

Review: Hello

I was recently a guest with my family just this past weekend . I wanted to state that the park was excellent, however I am very disapointed regarding my room and the hotel itself. Let me say that the pillow cases were not changed, the floor had debris on it and hair. The bathroom did not have new toilet paper and the there was water and hair and used towels from the previous guests in the hotel room . The fact that I have paid $463.00 for a hotel room and my stay was less than satisfactory, it was extremely poor and horrible. The tv did not work, the room was dirty, window broken and it was just filthy. This is unacceptable. and I plan to make my concerns know to the wisconsin dells . Something needs to be done to help for our situation. I was totally disappointed with my stay. discount is not sufficient, yet it is insulting for the experience we incurred . choosing a different hotel v after traveling for several hours, and then waiting almost 2 hours for the room, then to arrive and to incur the conditions for a family of five, is just unheard of. I am speaking of monetary adjustment, versus a discount for a trip that I may take a year from now. But also an unknown discount, ??? this is not acceptable. I thank you for your response, but the offer for a discount is unacceptable. I would like a partial refund.Desired Settlement: I was offered an insulting partial refund for $75.00, [redacted] , from Management offered me a $75.00 settlement. I informed her that this was unacceptable. I then wrote another email, Thank you for completely ignoring my last response, it appears that the Hotel and Mt Olympus as a whole does not care about its customers what so ever. It was not appropriate to have a filthy room, unclean towels, unchanged pillow cases, a floor crawling with dirt , food, hair , and dust bunnies, a bathroom with used towels from the previous customer, used soap particles, hair on the floor and much more, it was beyond reprehensible. I have asked for a partial refund for $150.00, but it appears that , my request as a consumer , has fallen on death ears. I will write a letter to upper management and send my complaint to the Revdex.com. What would be the appropriate reason, as to not respond to my last inquiry. I thought the customer was the most important , upmost factor to assure customer satisfaction?? I am not trying to get over on my stay, but to pay approximately$500.00 and the food + rides that were paid for , this feels completely like a rip off and harsh non response from Mt Olympus, their customers dont matter. I would like a refund for $150.00

Response:

Mt. Olympus has tried to make amends for your disappointment but without being notified of any issues when you check into the room it is hard to correct anything from the beginning. We do show that you pre registered at 10:30 am and checked into the room before 1pm which is 3 hours before the standard check in time. We also show that the only call received was for extra towels and extra toilet tissue at 10:59 pm on August 9th. We have offered you a return stay discount or Summer passes and $100 refund. Though we do not anticipate issues if there are any we do wish to be notified right away so it can be handle in a timely fashion.

Well it starts off with me noticing mold in the bathroom and toliets leaking!! Mind you my son has broncitis and CANT be anywhere near to mold.!!!! Then my husband finds black bugs 4 to be exact on her bed crawling and jumping around her! Then I called fromt desk from the room phone and it took them over 30 minutes to try to send some one after I explained the severity of the situation. After I waited for so long so someone, I called the 1888 number on the website and spoke to a representative and then transferred me over to a supervisor by the name of Drew, who seemed none the less worried or concerned. He offered me to be moved to a different room, which he said was down the hall and ready. I waited for 40 minutes to send a 2nd maintenance man with new keys! He never got there. On top of that they still charged me $50 for all 5 wrist bands!!! So overall I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN AND RECOMMEND ANY1 TO GO THERE! It was our first family mini vacation and it was ruined!

Review: We booked a hotel room through hotels.com for Mount Olympus resort. When we got checked in, we noticed right away that the hotel room looked nothing like the picture shown. The picture showed a room divider and a very nice looking hotel room. We got a room with a bunk bed put near two queen beds. The room was very cold and nothing like what we were shown when we booked the room. When I complained, the person on the phone told me that we could have the room that was shown for $100 more. She told me to go back to the main lobby and talk with the manager there. We went back to the main lobby (almost a mile away!) to try to resolve the dispute. I asked to see the manager, but the manager never came out of the back room. At that point, my husband told me to just get our money back and that he'll book a room with somewhere else. We turned in our room keys and the wristbands. The person at the front desk went back to confer with the manager (who still did not come out!) and then told us that because we booked through hotels.com that we could not get our money back. When we called hotels.com, they said that it was Mount Olympus's refund policy and not theirs.Desired Settlement: I would like at least a partial refund. The customer service was horrible and the quality of the room that we were given versus the room that was pictured was very different.

Since the reservation was made through a third party I am not able to adjust any of the room night itself, However, I see you did pay an extra person charge for a total of $44.90 which I would be able to adjust off. I apologize for any confusion but with a third party like this we are not able to make adjustments to the reservation any changes, refunds and cancellation have to go threw them and their system. I will refund the $44.90 today but please allow 7-10 business days to reflect in your account.

Review: I bought tickets for the water park that I could go on any day without reservations, my Mother fell ill and had to be hospitalized, I'm her legal guardian so I needed to be at her bedside for legal reasons. I call and spoke with a Reservation Representative and explain my situation and I was told I could not transfer my reservations to another person but I could transfer the amount pain to an overnight stay. I explain to the Representative that I didn't know when I would be able to make the trip because my Mother's health will continue to decline, so the Rep stated that it woul be ok to keep rescheduling until I could make the trip. When I spoke with a Superviser today Inwas informed that I was over the limit for rescheduling and I would have to forfeit my reservation fee for a no call no show and I explained to The Supervisor that the time I'm at the Hospital conflicts with their Supervisors availability.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund or to reschedule my stay

Dear [redacted] Please feel free to use these tickets during the 2015 season. I have made a note in your reservation file accordingly. If you wish, print a copy of this email and bring it along to the park ticket booth this coming summer. 8 tickets @ 14.00 paid in full Res: 135248 Sincerely,[redacted] Direct line[redacted] ext: 206

Review: My husband purchased tickets online but never got the confirmation email but we were charged. A month later we drove 1 1/2 hours to the park to find out that the tickets we purchased were redeemed already. They claimed we redeemed them a day after it was charged to our bank. The only way to redeem online tickets is to show them your drivers license and give them your phone number or give them your confirmation email. We were so dumbfounded. After a brief argument, we were only offered 3 free tickets but had to pay $10 plus tax for the 4th ticket. I'm still upset I'm not sure if this is a program/software issue or hacking issue. The park is big and famous that it couldn't even offer us the last ticket free!Desired Settlement: All I want is a refund and apology for the mishap we received. The supervisor we encountered didn't even believe us and was already sure that we were trying to get in free and even saying maybe our family members came here using our tickets! Jumping to conclusions without trying to find out what happened!

Mt Olympus advertises themselves as a resort, with free wifi, etc. When looking at their website, it would appear to be a single stand alone location, where you stay at the resort.
Wikipedia defines a resort as "In North American English, the term "resort" is now also used for a self-contained commercial establishment which attempts to provide for most of a vacationer's wants while remaining on the premises".
The issue with Mt. Olypmus is that you do not stay on the premises of the water resort. You must leave the premises, stay in one of their motels off-site, and then you must independently (no busing, etc.) to get to the resort. This is not, by definition a resort, and hence is false advertising. Additionally, the motel rooms were less than adequate, as the advertised wifi was not available in all rooms, and the "resort" did little to repair the internet after numerous calls. They know we would leave in a couple of days, and there issue would then be resolved.
They should be severely fined for false advertising, and for not providing the amenities as stated.

Review: I have a gift certificate I have been trying to use for almost a year that I got for my son's birthday every time I call I am a hold for at least 20 to 30 minutes no one can find my gift card number nor can I make a reservation have $89 on the line of my own money and I cannot use it I love the water park and I would love to take my family of four and enjoy ourselves but I cannot because they can I find my gift card and I don't understand what is the problem and I've spoken to management as well I still have been unsuccessfulDesired Settlement: I just want to book a stay at hotel Rome for 2 nights

Review: I ordered tickets for Mount Olympus online on June 23rd. Saturday July 25th would have been my first visit there. We arrived one hour after they opened and started in the indoor water park. Every indoor water park I've ever been to has posted and monitored the number of people in the park for safety reasons. When they hit that limit they should turn away additional guests for the enjoyment of everyone. It was obvious they were not concerned about safety and allowed any and all visitors to continue to flood the park despite it already being full. The crowds at the park were so thick that you could not move around. Every pool/ride/attraction had a swarm of people around it such that you could not see 2 feet in front of you. I determined that the park was not safe for my family and left before we even began. I am requesting a refund of my 7 purchased tickets.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the 7 tickets I purchased for a total of $74.73.

Response:

I do apologize that you felt the parks were to busy for your family to enjoy yourself. I would be more than happy to send you additional passes to come back another day to enjoy the facilities. Please keep in mind that during the week is going to be less busy then our weekends in the Dells.

For many years my family has stayed at Mt Olympus Water and Theme park hotel. This year out of state family was coming to WI for a family event. I told everyone to stay at Mt Olympus because they were running a special deal-$59.99 plus fees etc. We all booked rooms there.
Last week one of the relatives heard from a friend that you don't get booked on site of the water park. I didn't want to think that was us too. I called to find out the "special deal" was getting put up 5 minutes away from the water park. When I attempted to cancel our reservations so we could book at a hotel that had an onsite pool, I was told it would be a $50.00 cancellation fee. I was calling eight days before our reservation. Of course if I wanted to stay on site I could upgrade for $137.00.
I guess they feel pretty goog about having people over a barrel. I guarantee I will not be patronizing Mt Olympus hotel in the future.
Buyer beware!!!

The first issue was that once we arrived to stay at Mt. Olympus we found out we were staying at a "renovated" motel almost 2 miles away from all the resorts attractions. Upon checking my reservation in very fine print that was only available after you paid did I read that we would be staying "off-site". The next issue was the extreme over crowding of the park. I found out later that this resort offers free waterpark admission to the general public, they just rob them with $20.00 parking and outrageous food/drink prices. This makes it very inconvenient for guest who are paying close to $700.00 to stay and play, it creates crowded pools that are impossible to swim in and lines for rides and go carts that are well over an hour. Very poor practice. The next issue was the condition of the room, which if you check google reviews you can see many people with similar or worse issues, some even posted pictures that made me feel lucky. Our rooms smelled very musty, the bathroom had some sort of build up around the toilet and shower. Luckily we were not in the room too much for it was a bachelor party. The final issue we had was upon returning to the room late in the night/morning we did receive a noise complaint while walking in which was understandable, we apologized and got into the room and started getting ready for bed, a couple of the guest in our room while changing knocked over a suitcase which caused a loud thud, followed by some raised voices telling each other to "shut up," "keep it down," etc. We got a knock on the door from about 6-8 hotel security staff, which I thought was strange, but again I apologized and explained the situation, and they said if we have to come up again that it would be trouble. After that we all climbed into bed, had the TV on a very low volume, and within minutes about all but 3 of us were asleep. About 25 minutes later one of the guest in our room got up to go out to the ice maker for his glass of water before falling asleep to find 6-8 hotel staff just standing outside of the door. As soon as he went out there they all took intimidating postures and my guest told me to come out as there might be a problem. I asked the men if there was an issue, to which they replied, we are just making sure nothing else stupid happens here tonight. I assured them they made their point, we were all in bed, and their job was done, to which one of the hotel staff replied, "My job is to make sure you get kicked out tonight." I was extremely confused by this and actually pretty disgusted. I asked him, "Do you really get paid to kick paying guest out." I told him that was a low, loser like thing to say, rolled my eyes and went back into the room to bed. About 15 minutes later we awake to a very loud knock. I get out of bed, the only one awake to all the hotel staff along with a "manager" and 3 law enforcement officers. The manager says he had been made aware of a 3rd and final noise complaint and that we had 15 minutes to be off the property or we would be arrested for trespassing. I tried to explain that there is no way a 3rd noise complaint came in and if it did it would have been from his staff standing right outside our door talking. He would not here any of it and was "counting down" our time before he would have us arrested. The next day I called to speak with the resort manager, "Rich" I left him a voicemail as he was not available. He did respond the one and only time and left me a voicemail saying it was their policy to kick people out after 3 noise complaints, I returned his call to leave him another voicemail stating that there was no way we had gotten 3, and that we were being intimidated and threatened by his staff and if there was a noise complaint it would be directly a result of his staff talking out in the hallway. He never returned that call, or any of my follow up calls, or emails. Just like many of the reviews online state, the management of this resort is unbelievably poor and only cares about money and not its guest. This situation was completely under control and solved well before we were told to leave at 4:00am when we were all asleep in bed. Many of the reviews online, and that I can explain from first hand experience talk about the walls are paper thin and you can hear a casual conversation like it was in the same room, which is why I believe the 3rd noise complaint (if there really was one and it wasn't just a group offended 6-8 hotel staff members) was from the group of hotel staff standing in the hallway talking for 15-30 minutes. The managers lack of concern for even trying to resolve anything with me is also an example of this resorts lack of commitment to consumers.

Review: Called in for Reservation to Mount Olympus for August 22-25 notifying them I had a child of 6 months and needed something on first floor. Arrived mid afternoon on August 22 park was over capacity took a while to check-in they put us in one of there villages across street. Went there they booked us in upstairs room, no elevator after I told them I had a baby stairs going down were dangerous few loose was going to switch rooms there but being so busy and kids wanting to go to park decided to go in morning. Went to park couldn't get on anything was over capacity disappointed we decided to go in town for dinner. Next morning went to desk and wanted to switch rooms if I wanted to stay right there were there are elevators an additional 400 dollars for two nights ...come on.. but they put me in building 6 no extra charge but we had too leave right then since check out was 10:30 at was around that time so we skipped breakfast and packed up and moved to building 6 first floor motel style room was better but now problem is we are farther so if we walk have to cut across dirt paths and down steep hills or walk a thin road were traffic is dangerous.. but then once we walked on Sunday to park weather was cooler and they were selling 7 dollar park passes to anybody that wanted them which overpacked the indoor park which made it unusable and we were guests of Mount Olympus we went into town and rode ducks and did other things which is not what I paid for I paid to use there facilities. On Monday they shut a lot of outside water park off and again it was over packed we used it a little but being so many people we left again check out on Tuesday and we made one pass inside and left . Feeling I could of for the price stayed at a real nice place instead of switching a complete dump room to a so so room and just paid 7 dollar a ticket to get in if was overpacked stayed at the nice place I would have picked . Was requesting a refund or partial refund for horrible experience and having guest of Mount Olympus have to fight crowds of people that they sell tickets to for next to nothing which they don't mention on web site when you book I will not be going back have stayed at Wilderness much nicer and cleaner, crowds but not to unsafe and over capacity conditions.Desired Settlement: Refund

I do see that the reservation was made online and the Village location was selected when reserving. Our notes do show your requested to be close to the parks and that is the location you were placed. We also have our park tickets listed online as well as our rooms though I do apologize you felt it was overcrowded it is peak time. I do see that as soon as we were notified of your request to move we did accommodate you accordingly. I cannot issue a refund but I would be more than happy to issue park passes for a future use.

Tell us why here...Rejecting because they selling overpriced crappy rooms and include water park included but yet sell 7.00 tickets to anybody off the street which affects the stay of actually guests of mt Olympus because all they facilities are completely full and unusable to guests who have paid a lot of money to stay there because they are practicaly giving tickets away to anyway off the street . Put it this way I rent a hotel room with pools and beach front and pay a good amount of money now that same hotel turns around and sells tpasses to come and use there stuff all day long for groups of rough kids and anybody who is around with only a few bucks looking for something to do what to you think happens it becomes mobbed and actually paying guests are not able to use facilities because of non-guests who don't give a crap and just go wild that is what is happening that is not what I wanted to stay at with my family it is not put that way on the web site and I believe that is misleading. I certainly don't want to go back just want a refund horrible experience. They claim peak time your selling tickets to get in all day for 7 dollars what do you expect!!!!!! A bit overcrowded crap Saturday Im not surprised they didn't shut you down that is insane even six flags has a waterpark capacity when reached they close doors SMART 100% would not go back due to cant use facilities and was a bit dangerous from my children to many rough groups in their that don't care kicked out they will come back tomorrow you are selling 7 dollars tickets other places will sell tickets or 30 dollars to get in like you use to 7 dollars come on not what I signed for just give my refund ruined my childrens vacation and we had to pay to do other things because facilities were highly overpacked due to dirt cheap tickets to get in

A refund for a 3 night stay is not an option for this reservation. I see the only concern that was brought to our attention during your stay was the location of you room being across the street. Once this concern was mentioned to us we gladly moved your room to a closer location on the same side of the road. Every attraction in Wisconsin Dells is going to be busy during the peak months. We do include the parks in your stay for no additional cost and we also offer our guests 3 extra hours in the parks that is not included for outside customers. During your stay we also opened the parks an hour early for our customers only to enjoy. I do see you stayed in your room for the entire 3 nights and that is what your rate paid was for nothing was charged extra for the park access. We have our prices for rooms and park tickets alone listed online and it is nothing we try to hide from our customers.

Tell us why here..The only resolution I am getting so far from Mount Olympus is 20 % off next stay or 4 tickets which are priced 7 dollars a piece for all the hassle changing rooms which I would have done again but shouldn't have to change rooms two or three times during my stay once is bad enough. Couldn't use the facilities that were suppose to be included with my stay since tickets to park were being given away for 7 a piece you use to not let anybody in without paying like a seson pass or 30 bucks a ticket that kept the park cleaner and not so crowded now complete chaos too many people for even life guards or staff to watch me being a guest cant even get on anything not a family fun time what so ever I mentioned to kids about 20 % off or free tickets they laughed don't want to go back plus its 3 hour drive for us not evn close to worth all this hassle you have put me through just want a refund.

Review: I requested a refund due to their false advertising (which I do not support) and impossible situation they have put me in. I sent the following message and received response that 'all park ticket sales are final and non refundable'. I would love to go but they have made it a nightmare for people. The reviews this summer are horrible even on their Facebook page. At the time of purchase they claimed the price I was receiving was a one day ONLY special (that I later found out runs everyday and is even cheaper at the gate now) and no where did the purchase mention their $20 parking fee that I just found out about today. This is completely false advertising and a scam to get as many people in the door to ruin their day but make the most money. Here is the message I sent to them this morning:

'Good Morning, I was really excited to visit WI Dells for my first time this summer (we have never been) with my husband and daughter however, with all the bad reviews, long wait time and false advertising we cannot make the trip. After purchasing 3 of the ‘end at midnight $10 tickets’ I realized it was all a scam. Every day that I checked the website following, the same special was being advertised. I also checked the Facebook page and read the terrible reviews and 2 hour lines. Our drive will be 4 hours each way so we do not have time for this scam. My sister and family also purchased online tickets the same evening as me. Well, they went 2 weekends ago for a 1-day trip, (longer drive then us) and said it was the biggest mistake they have ever made. She also said tickets at the door were even cheaper…an even bigger scam. They were extremely disappointed and so I am! We were really really looking forward to it. What is the process for refund?'Desired Settlement: Refund.

Response:

While we appreciate your concerns regarding the ticket pricing, we have the option to continue a special and/or change the special as the market permits. It is true that we are experiencing peak attendance on the weekends which create lines as is true at every theme park in the country when the weather and price are right for attendance. We would like to encourage you to plan a trip during the week as our attendance is lower and the lines are shorter. We have been charging for parking all summer, as we have for the past several years. Our parking price is not out of line for theme parks if you check others in Wisconsin and other parts of the United States. As stated when you purchase the tickets, All sales are final. We will continue to honor the tickets through September 7, 2015. As a special consideration I would extend those tickets through our fall season if you would like to try that, please keep in mind that the waterpark will not be open into the fall. Please let us know what your decision is on the extension of the tickets.

I am awaiting a refund for 3 unused tickets. This facility is not currently offering a clean and safe place to visit. If I cannot visit due to their failure to meet standards, I am owed a refund. I have a family member who witnessed this first hand along with reading and chatting with people on the internet. The internet is flooding with horrible experiences to back up what I am saying. Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

STAY AWAY!
The staff is not trained properly. The water/amusement park pose many safety and health violations. The upper management does not care about concerns or complaints. I spoke to the GM of the resort who offered a slight refund with park tickets but generally didn't care about the negligence I was reporting regarding his staff!
I witnessed a little girl go under water and the life guard did not help or intervene. He did not do his job or speak any English. If they don't manage their resort they will have a lawsuit in no time! Safety should be top priority NOT cheap labor and/or cutting corners.

Really disgusted this morning when I wake up and go to the restroom where there are a couple roaches crawling around! Also not one of our four beds had anything more than a blanket that was as thin as a towel and felt like a towel no comforter to keep us warm after a day in the cold water of the park! Another issue is having to walk with our three young children a long distance just to get into the park! Shouldn't guests have good parking or at least shuttle them to the entrance! We almost got hit a couple times trying to walkin to the entrance!

Review: We were looking forward to a mini-weekend trip to the Dells and after looking at various resorts I choose Mt. Olympus for all the things to do - took along kids ages 11, 19 and 21. When I booked the room to save a little money I went with the Mt. Olympus Villages because according to the picture it was a clean hotel room, which was fine, figuring we were just sleeping in the room and I didn't need to pay extra for the fancy 'Trojan' mural painted on the wall. We check in at the main hotel Rome which is beautiful when you walk in, get our keys and head down the strip to a crappy little motel. I walk in and when I say BATES MOTEL I am not kidding!!! Mind you, because we were staying on a Friday and Saturday night the hotel was $300 PER NIGHT and these were NOT $300 per night rooms by any imagination. The room had ORIGINAL EVERYTHING - including wood paneling and disgusting vinyl floors. So I use the room phone to call and try to get an upgrade. It took me to the main reservations line and the man tells me there is a 72 hour cancellation policy and there is basically nothing they can do. I say that's not good enough. This is the "Bates Motel and not nearly worth $300/night". He seemed surprised at my answer and suggested I go to the front desk. So I get back in my car and drive to the front desk. I talk to a girl who apparently gets these complaints frequently and says there is nothing she can do, do I want to speak to a manager? YES! So I wait for about 10 minutes to see a manager, Jessica, who is frumpy, in her young 20s and has no customer service skills. She seems like she's heard this same complaint several times over. I am friendly as I can be (even though I was irate)! I complain about the hotel and she says "well you saw a picture of the room on the website". I explain that the room isn't close to the picture on the website, has no updates and literally is the Bates Motel. I kindly ask for an upgrade and say that the room we were given is not worth $300/night. They were booked solid and the best she could do is upgrade me Saturday night. I would've cancelled there on the spot, but due to the 72-hour cancellation policy I was forced to stay there as I didn't want to be out my almost $700 (including taxes). Not too mention, there were no other rooms available in the Dells. Every place I called was booked solid.

They only took $75 off and we had to check-out and then wait until the 3pm check-in time to get into our room the next night. Which was a big inconvenience. When we finally get into our 2nd room, it is again an old hotel that the rooms have been updated. But again it's not close to being worth $300/night.

What a cluster for what was supposed to be a mini-vacation!!!

I believe there was complete mis-adverstising on part of Mt Olympus. There was no description of the Mt. Olympus Villages except they were off -site. There was only one picture, like I said of basically two beds on a white wall. This was not an adequate description of what the hotel is offering, especially at rates of $300/night. Had I had more information there is no way I would've booked this hotel.Desired Settlement: I strongly feel that Mt. Olympus mis-advertises it's property and overcharges it's customers. I'd like a refund of $380, which means I would've paid $100 per night for the MOTEL rooms that we were stuck staying in that weren't even worth that much. I think this is a fair settlement for basically ruining our mini-vacation that was OVER PRICED and basically made me feel ripped off.

Thank you.

Response:

Good morning, I apologize for the inconveniences that took place during your stay at Mt. Olympus. All of our pictures on our website are pictures of the rooms that we have on our property's based on the different room types. We do charge less for our un-themed rooms for that reason alone and all of our Village rooms are less than our on-site Hotel Rome. What I did for your inconveniences was dropped your first night that you stayed to $99.99 and the second night in a themed room to $189.99. I refunded your Master Card ending in *6768 the amount of $295.47. The reason that our rooms are more expensive then the other standard motels in Wisconsin Dells is because we include all of Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park. All of our roller coasters, go-karts, indoor and outdoor water parks are included for the day you check-in through the day you check-out. Passes are regularly $40 per person per day. Your refund should take only 5-7 days before you see it in your account.

Review: My daughter and I decided to go to mount Olympus on sat. 4/26/14 to ride the roller coasters. We looked at the website and it stated that the outdoor theme park was open. We drove an hour and 40 min. And paid $30 each to find out that they are only operating one roller coaster and two go cart tracks (the website claims to have five roller coasters and eight go cart tracks) all other outdoor dry specialty rides were also closed. This seems like a scam to get us to wisconsin dells.Desired Settlement: They should refund us for the admission and our expenses. We have been there several times in the past and had a good time, but this was very disappointing . They shouldn't say that they are open without putting some notice up stating that they are only open 5%.

Response:

I do apologize about the confusion but our

outdoor rides are set to officially open Memorial Weekend weather permitting.

When you check the park hours online we do have it stated “Select Attractions Weather Permitting". For the confusion we

would be more than happy to offer you summer parks passes to return when our

outdoor is completely open.

Review: I booked a two night stay at Mt. Olympus in Wisconsin Dells. I knew our rooms were off site. I was fine with that. But when we got to the offsite room it was not what I was expecting. The room from the internet were nothing like the room I actually had. When you walked into this building the front door was open no lock/key to swip in. It was like a ghost town. When you walked down the hall there were these closets in the middle of the hallway I am sure used for housekeeping, but as I was carrying items to my room I couldn't fit. In the room there were no comfoters, there was barely any towels (3 big ones and about 4 hand towels), the tub was yellowish the beds were slanted to one side the toilet when you sat on it it seemed like it came up off the wall and when you sat up it would slam against the wall. The sink was yellowish and very small. The room on the website was this big beautiful joyful place. ALso the water park.. Kid friendly is not true the kid section was by the door where freezing breeze would come in and out. SO not only was the water cold but then we get a breeze.. indoor water parks are not suppose to feel like outside. To change at the water park since we were offsite was an awful challenge.. there was no room to do that the bathroom stalls were small and there was a bunch of people there. My reservation number is [redacted]. I will say I didn't not get what I paid for the experience was awful! It was suppose to be a fun time for my sons 3rd birthday and it wasn't.. We will not be going there next year!Desired Settlement: I would like all of my money returned $306.60

First let me begin by saying that

we are very sorry to have disappointed you during your stay with us. It is never our intention to provide anything

less than a wonderful family vacation. As with any other growing business, we

occasionally find issues which need to be addressed. We do have staff and

security onsite 24 hours and do always like concerns to be brought to our

attention right away so they can be fixed in a timely manner. If the room in

general was not to your liking we could have looked into moving you to another

if you would have contacted us. Since we do have many buildings and each may

vary in style we have it listed online that the “Actual rooms may vary

from what is shown.”

Rest assured we take your

concerns seriously and appreciate your having brought them to our attention. In

order to make amends, we would like to offer you a discount on a return stay or

Summer Park passes for the family when you return to Wisconsin Dells. To

redeem the discount, please mention this letter to your reservation specialist

upon making your reservation. You will also need to present a copy of

this email at check in.

Response:

We are sitting in our room that cost close to $800 for 3 nights. Why? Because the resort offers $7 a day tickets to the public. The parks are so over run at this moment we can't move around. This cost and yet jailed into our room is beyond disappointing. The "special hours" offered to guests are a joke since half the attractions close. I will never recommend Mt. Olympus. I can't believe management thinks treating people who save up their hard earned money to spend time playing with their families take such horrible advantage and do not care at all about their guests. We will take our own garbage out shortly since housekeeping didn't and get a meal off site and we will NEVER recommend Mt. Olympus to anyone ever.
