First of all Toshiba only responded after the Revdex.com contacted them. I know this because the caller identified themselves as responding to a Revdex.com complaint. They NEVER responded to me. Secondly, the DVD player was replaced with one that doesn't work. I attempted to contact them, got some one in Manila. I don't deal with Manila. When I asked her for a US number or address, she said she didn't have one to give me. In my first complaint, I said that I was afraid that Toshiba would drag their feet, ignore my issue until the warranty expired. Well, that is exactly what they did. Toshiba may think the issue is a closed, but itis not. I have asked several times for a phone number or someone from the Irvine Office call me. I did get a call from someone named Dawn.,She explained that they were responding to a Revdex.com complaint. So you see, Toshiba doesn't give a damn about their customers. If anyone there has any balls, they can call me, ###-###-####.

I have complied to the Toshiba laptop warranty and have come to the conclusion they can replace a laptop. I purchased this laptop and it had issues from the beginning with the cooling system. I sent it in to TASI repair facilities to have it repaired already. It was their at the repair facilities that my computer came back worse than when I sent it in originally for.
There are issues that seem to be common with this model laptop. I have looked on the internet just to validate my sentiments. It is an issue with the laptop in general that should be easily fixable. However it was sent back stating that there was no issues with the laptop.
I have done some research and found a several other customers who have had this same issue with the over heating with the cooling system. So for TASI to say nothing was wrong with the laptop is totally false. Now they want to assure me that the laptop will be fixed when it should have been repaired correctly in the first place.
I believe this is a defective laptop and I am requesting a replacement laptop or refund. I am totally baffled that my first Toshiba purchase ever that I have to result to these means. I do not consider this matter closed

I have spoke with a representative from Toshiba today and I am still waiting for a tracking number for the "replacement TV". This is now the third time a TV has been promised to be sent. Toshiba said that it would be 7-10 business days before I will have a tracking number and date for the New TV to arrive. I would like to wait to close this case until I have the received the TV. Only because of the previous promises of a new TV and then two days later they changed their minds and did not want to replace the defective TV. Thank you for assistance in expediting this matter.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

They said that the one year manufacture warranty expired, and that “they” consider the
matter closed. This is unacceptable because they avoided the issue which is that they produced a defective part which causes a backlight issue with the TV. In addition to the $800 dollars I also paid for the
extended warranty so it’s 5 months past coverage. It would be a different
matter if I was the only person with this issue. Here are several links which they should read along with the hundreds of other complaints online about this model:[redacted]Here is another link:[redacted]Here is another link:[redacted]Here is another link:[redacted]How about a review from CNET? and I quote "The backlight can fluctuate slightly between light and dark material."[redacted]If "Toshiba” had ethics they would address this question: Did you produce a defective part in this model of TV which results in a LED issue? In closure, I wonder if they will shove the warranty issue in my face again or will they take ownership in a product they produced?P.S. you also have a PDF document from me that is sent as to how they promote the product, it obviously didn't last like they said it would. My complaint is not conjecture, it's fact that they advertise above and beyond what that model of TV delivers. Should I expect any more opportunities to respond or is this matter permanently closed as a loss?[redacted]
