Nation Voice Communications Reviews (92)

Review: As a customer of NationVoice, I paid a monthly fee for a service. Around the time of 9/2012, I downgraded my service as well as my payment plan.

Instead of replacing my old payment plan with the new cheaper plan, NationVoice added a second payment plan to my account, even though they downgraded my service.

When I finally realized what was happening in May 2013, I emailed NationVoice who never got back to me. I submitted several tickets afterwards that disappeared, and then another one on 7/15/2013 that there is a record of. They refunded me for 2 months worth, but I've calculated approximately $200 in charges for services I never received, and NationVoice refuses to refund the remaining money.

NationVoice makes it impossible to check payment and billing history on their current website, making this extremely difficult to identify through practical means.

There is also what looks like a double charge of $18.99 from 10/2011, but again without any account billing or payment history I cannot pull the information needed to confirm if this charge was legit.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for payments made for services I never received. My records indicate I have been overcharged $189.90 since 9/2012, the unconfirmed double charge of $18.99 from 10/2011 would bring this up to $208.89

I have not heard from NationVoice since 9/16/2013, and re-opened the ticket where I am requesting a refund on 9/17/2013.

Requesting refund for overcharges dating back to 10/2011

10/2011 - Double charge 18.99

9/2012 - Begin payment plan for $16.17 every 3 months, first charge of $16.17

9/2012 - Still charged $18.99 (first double charge)

- Incorrectly charged $18.99 every month from 09/2012 through 07/2013, while also being charged $16.17 every third month.

7/2013 - Incorrectly charged $18.99 twice

- submitted ticket #[redacted], was refunded for only 2 months of $18.99 payments on 7/15/2013.

By my calculations I have still been overcharged 10 times since 09/2012, not counting the 2 times that I was refunded for. Those 10 charges, plus the double charge from 10/2011 totals to $208.89

I am requesting this amount be refunded as soon as possible.

Your website's lack of account billing history has made it very difficult for me to track this down.

I am having troubling pulling my credit card history before 09/2011, who knows what kind of charges happened before that.

Needless to say I am a less than satisfied customer that has been using your services for close to if not over 4 years.

In your last support ticket, we did indeed refund charges which were eligible for refund under our 60 day review period. Under our TOS, we will not refund or review any charge older than 30 days. In fact, all inquiries must be submitted within 30 days of said invoice. Your request to refund payments dating back to 2011 is simply not possible as well unreasonable. In most circumstances, a client will acknowledge a billing discrepancy within the said 30 day time period, allowing us the ability to make any changes or refunds accordingly. Our system sends an email to your when an invoice is processed. That email will service as an official receipt of paid invoice. It's at the point that we expect you to contact us with any disputes or questions. We suggest updating your email or using an email that you check regularly, as this would prove to be a good way to keep up with your account and status.

In conclusion, we have closed out this inquiry on our end. Customer D[redacted] is still using our services to this day, up until this complaint.

Review: This company has ceased providing their services. We prepaid for a full year of service and only received approximately 5 months worth. We paid over $100 for this service and now the company doesn't seem to be functioning nor are they responding to phone call or email inquiries. Their online chat doesn't appear to be functioning. This started a little over a week ago and I opted to wait until after the Easter holiday to give them a chance to resolve the situation. This appears to not be their goal. They seem to have "skipped town."Desired Settlement: I'd like a refund of the money I paid for the service. At least for the time service was not provided (6-7 months worth).

On April 16, 2014, our [redacted] license, which was issued in 2005 was revoked by [redacted] Industries. Since that time, we have not billed or accepted any further orders from new or existing customers. We have also disabled the ability to purchase any services from our website. Nationvoice would like to extend a formal apology for the lack of communication during this service interruption. Due to the overwhelming amount of requests, we could not respond to any NationVoice Support or Sales inquiries via our web based ticket or phone systems. Going forward, we will no longer be doing business with [redacted]. We will instead be continuing service for all customers with [redacted]. This is our second attempt to reach out to those whom were actively using our services on April 16th, 2014. If you’re receiving this email and have already received a refund from Nationvoice directly, or through other channels such as PayPal or your card issuing bank, then we cannot qualify you for the offer below to re-establish your service.

We are going to be providing FREE service for the term of your paid service subscription. All that you need to do is submit your proof of purchase of your [redacted] monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, or yearly service, and email address used to register your account via a Sales ticket to [redacted].com. We will also be including our proprietary AFK/Idle script, which will move inactive users to the channel of your choosing. Please also include your preference of location from our Network Map as well, as we offer many new locations that [redacted] did not offer. In 2012, we did launch our [redacted] division, along with the option for customers to switch from [redacted] to [redacted] as needed. At this time, [redacted] is only providing [redacted] software, which our user base has found to be far superior, and dramatically easier to maintain and support. NationVoice would like to thank all of it’s customers for the years of service, and the community support received since it’s inception.

From 2004, NationVoice was the #2 most popular search term for signing up for [redacted] services, and over the years, Nationvoice has contributed support to the community in many forms, to include Technical Support on the [redacted] forums, gaming conferences, tournaments, financial sponsoring of major gaming groups, and events at our own expense. We did so to offer not only our customers, but gamers in general, the experience that is associated with [redacted]. This was not something we saw from our competitors, particularly upon the developmental stages of the [redacted] brand.

Since the summer of 2012, NationVoice has been under the primary operation of a single employee, which, under normal circumstances, did quite well with regards to customer support and service. NationVoice has had a few subcontractors to do some maintenance work to keep the servers online with minimum interruption. However, due to unforeseen acts of nature, deteriorating relationship with [redacted] Industries, server compromises, and the removal of several untrustworthy contractors, the business end of NationVoice has been handled personally by the owner. The NationVoice website was also removed repeatedly (May 2010 and April 2011 respectively) from the [redacted].com hosting providers page. This repeatedly caused severe loss of business, as that was the primary source of our website traffic, next to industry word-of-mouth. The decision on both occasions to remove Nationvoice as an official provider of [redacted] services on the [redacted].com hosting page were not related in anyway to unpaid license fees.

The hosting page removal from April 2011 was due to a non-violation of our License Agreement, with [redacted] Industries and all attempts to communicate with [redacted] Industries over the last 3 years to restore our listing and reputation which included emails, phone calls, text messages, and confirmed postal mail have gone ignored. Our most recent attempts, as of April of 2014 in attempt to resolve the license fee issues with [redacted] was met with the same treatment. As such, NationVoice is no longer sponsoring, endorsing or providing the [redacted] software.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10026369, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I purchased a lifetime membership through nationvoice about 6-8 months ago with no issues but found out around April15th or so that my service was interrupted. I went to nationvoice's website to get a live representative and had no response. I left them some information for my complaint and gave them an email address to contact me with whatever issue had taken place but never received an email or any contact letting me know what had happened. I've checked on the status of my ventrillo server over the last few weeks with the same status message "This server has been remotely disabled. This license has been suspended. Hosting company has not paid their license. I wouldn't have an issue if they only did a montly service charge, but they kept taking peoples money for lifetime subscriptions knowing they would not be able to fulfill their contractual obligations.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my lifetime membership fees if the company no longer plans to host ventrillo servers.

Review: Nation Voice, Communications an online ventrilo server hosting website has not paid their licenses to host serves in the United States or other countries. They did not honor our contract with them of a lifetime membership I have with them. Their services/product cannot be used because of their failure to paid their license fee. My server is currently disabled because of this issue, this is a big issue for myself because I put a lot of money into this company and for them to not even give me a notice or email is very upsetting. I even tried to contact them for the entire day, I tried to reach their live support on their website it completely closed on me. I even tried to call the main office # and it stated no one is available at their office and according to their business hours someone should have been there. If I do not receive my services I will take legal actions.Desired Settlement: Complimentary Upgrade on my server for the inconvenience, because I took my time out the day and tried to reach out to them and ask for answers. I have many people in my server who are very upset because we don't get the services we're asking for. If that cannot be done I want a refund of my money, I have all my information saved on my email dates of purchases.

Review: Nation Voice sells [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted]) servers. I purchased one of their [redacted] servers, but service to all of Nation Voice's [redacted] servers was interrupted on Saturday, April 19th 2014 and has not been restored. To date, Nation Voice has not publicly communicated with any of their customers, nor have they responded to any of my attempts to contact their customer service, billing or sales departments about the service interruption. I have attempted telephone, email and live, online communications, all to no avail. I have, however, received an e-mail response from the Nation Voice Billing department, in regard to an inquiry I made about the cost to upgrade an existing [redacted] server. The response I got was in the form of a bill, to charge me for a whole new [redacted] server, which Nation Voice cannot, or will not, provide in the foreseeable future.

There is a large (and growing) online community of Nation Voice customers who are actively sharing information about their attempts to communicate with Nation Voice, and they all consistently report no communication coming from Nation Voice about their [redacted] server outage.Desired Settlement: Nation Voice offers similar VoIP services, using [redacted], from their [redacted] website. I would be satisfied if Nation Voice would honor their Lifetime commitment by converting my [redacted] server to a [redacted] server, with the same simultaneous connections capacity. Additionally, I expect Nation Voice to retract the bill they have sent me for a whole new [redacted] server. If Nation Voice is unable/unwilling to honor their lifetime service obligation, I would be content with a refund of (at a minimum) half of the $250 I originally paid for their services.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The long wait for this resolution, without word from the business, was unconscionable and the resultant disruption of my own activities has not been addressed. However, this offer of comparable, alternative service is acceptable for my future purposes.

Due to the overwhelming amount of requests, we have not responded to any NationVoice Support or Sales inquiries via our ticket or phone systems. However, over the course of the last few weeks, myMumble has received several commendations from Lifetime members that have already signed up with our new Mumble brand and have had their Ventrilo server ported over to a Mumble server. From 2004, NationVoice was the #2 most popular search term for signing up for Ventrilo services, and over the years, Nationvoice has contributed support to the community in many forms, to include Technical Support on the Ventrilo forums, gaming conferences, tournaments, financial sponsoring of major gaming groups, and events at our own expense. We did so to offer not only our customers, but gamers in general, the experience that is associated with Ventrilo. This was not something we saw from our competitors, particularly upon the developmental stages of the Ventrilo brand. Since the summer of 2012, NationVoice has been under the primary operation of a single employee, which, under normal circumstances, did quite well with regards to customer support and service. NationVoice has had a few subcontractors to do some maintenance work to keep the servers online with minimum interruption. However, due to unforeseen acts of nature, deteriorating relationship with Flagship Industries, server compromises, and the removal of several untrustworthy contractors, the business end of NationVoice has been handled personally by the owner. The NationVoice website was also removed repeatedly (May 2010 and April 2011 respectively) from the Ventrilo.com hosting providers page. This repeatedly caused severe loss of business, as that was the primary source of our website traffic, next to industry word-of-mouth. The decision on both occasions to remove Nationvoice as an official provider of Ventrilo services on the Ventrilo.com hosting page were not related in anyway to unpaid license fees. The hosting page removal from April 2011 was due to a non-violation of our License Agreement, with Flagship Industries and all attempts to communicate with Flagship Industries over the last 3 years to restore our listing and reputation which included emails, phone calls, text messages, and confirmed postal mail have gone ignored. Our most recent attempts, as of April of 2014 in attempt to resolve the license fee issues with Flagship was met with the same treatment. As such, NationVoice is no longer sponsoring or endorsing or providing the Ventrilo software. As NationVoice was terminated from any and all agreements and support for the Ventrilo software, NationVoice would like to extend an invitation for continuation of service with our Mumble brand, myMumble. If you are receiving this email, it means you are a Lifetime Member. As such, we would like to extend to you the option of resuming your Lifetime account with myMumble. All you need to do is open a Sales ticket, and provide your email receipt of payment for your Lifetime membership. We will then provide you with a 100% one-time coupon good for a Mumble server with a slot count equivalent to your Lifetime purchase. The Nationvoice Lifetime memberships has always included the option for Ventrilo and Mumble service. In 2012, we did launch our Mumble division, along with the option for customers to switch from Ventrilo to Mumble as needed. At this time, myMumble is only providing Mumble software, which NationVoice has found to be far superior, and dramatically easier to maintain and support. NationVoice would like to thank all of it’s customers for the years of service, and the community support received since it’s inception. If NationVoice has already refunded your Lifetime Membership, either through PayPal, or through the dispute process with your card issuer or bank, then unfortunately, we will not be able to provide you with the Lifetime server coupon. You can, however, sign up for a free 5-slot Mumble server, which we provide on our website. No payment information is required for our free 5 User Lifetime Mumble service, but we do ask the you use the original email address you used at NationVoice to sign up with, so we can correlate your signup to your Lifetime Membership account. NationVoice can no longer reply to any support or billing requests via the NationVoice.com website or phone systems. That being said, at this time, we will respond via the myMumble.com Billing system to process any new support or sales inquiries.Regards,[redacted]Owner, NationVoice Communications, LLC

Review: Nationvoice processed a charge for $599.99, 100 times the authorized charge of $5.99. They are not responding to voice, email, or chat communications.Desired Settlement: I want the $599.99 refunded to me.

Response:

Refund was processed by way of bank reversal. Amount of refund - 599.99Customer states invoice was invalid, however an order for upgrade was processed in error by the customer.Complaint resolved, refund issued.

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The refund cannot be processed by bank reversal, as the account that was incorrectly charged has been closed to prevent further abuse. As requested in email sent last week, a check made out the administrator of record is the only way to issue a refund at this point. At no time did anyone on this account order an upgrade; in fact, this service has not been used since 2012.

Regards,

Business

Response:

We clearly advise our members that they are responsible for the responsible administration of their online account. We often see passwords being shared by members with their group or guild, meaning anyone with access to admin or knowledge of your admin password could have processed this unauthorized upgrade. We would certainly not consider this abuse, as your account security would be your responsibility. Our system will only process an invoice when a service is ordered directly through the web portal. Furthermore, your refund was processed and appears to be on hold because of a "failed receiving account". We can only apply a refund directly to the card or bank in which the charge originates from. You may want to contact your card issuer and request that they(your bank) allow the incoming pending refund. This is all we can do for you at this point.

Review: I found out while looking into my lifetime server that they had also charged me for my old server even though it was cancelled. No paperwork or information was sent to me other than it came up on my bank statement. This company charged my bank account without my consent for a service that I did not want/use. I have a complaint about my lifetime server open but found this out while looking at it and wanted this one added as well. I have tried to contact the company before like many others and they just sent a generic letter out to everyone with a lifetime account.Desired Settlement: I want the full amount returned to me of $159.52.

Response:

While looking at this complaint on it's own, we see the original subscription for the previous product plan was not canceled by the customer. According to our Terms of Use, a customer must notify us within 30 days of a disputed invoice or subscription charge. We will not issue a refund based on the time that has lapsed since this invoice payment. We also ask that our members administer their accounts responsibility in regards to their active services.

Refund Policy

You may cancel your account

with us at any time, and you will therefore not be billed for the next

billing cycle. However, we do not issue any form of refund due to an

early cancellation. All overcharges or billing disputes must be reported

within five days of the time the dispute occurred.

Review: I had a ventrilo server with nation voice, I canceled it on 12/16/2013. I then notice two charges on my debit card on 12/20/2013, one for $118.99 and one for $99.99. I called Nationvoice, was told that the person that handles these situations is not in and he would call me before 4 PM, no call was ever received, now when I call all I get is a voice mail.

I did a little research online and found that they have been doing the exact same practice to ex customers for the last 5 years. They also say they are a "Accredited Revdex.com Company" to which according to the Revdex.com website, this is not true.Desired Settlement: I want the unauthorized charges of $118.99 and $99.99 refunded back to my debit card.

Review: Hi, in June of 2010 I purchased a ventrilo voice server from nationvoice.com. The terms of contract was I pay $100 for a lifetime 10 slot server. I ended up getting an extra 5 slots for $50 a few months later. So everything was okay with my lifetime 15 person ventrilo server until last Friday. I got an error that says

"This server has been remotely disabled.

This license has been suspended. Hosting company has not paid their license fee."

These companies pay for the right to use the ventrilo program from [redacted]. Nationvoice will not respond to emails, they won't answer their phone, and it seems like they may have gone out of business or some fraud is taking place.

Review: I canceled the service I was receiving and I was still billed for something I did not receive.Desired Settlement: The business should not erroneously continue to charge people after they have canceled their service via their site. It's not only misleading but it's dishonest to continue to charge people because they did not cancel the service on two completely different sites.

I also want a refund of the charges inflicted on my Paypal account.

Response:

We apologize for this inconvenience, while you may be asking why is my PayPal account being billed by you? The Answer to this one is simple "it's NOT". It seems that there is a lot of confusion when it comes to PayPal subscriptions, we will try to clear this up for you here. A PayPal subscription is not "charged or billed" the same way a credit card would be on an account, it is simply a set of instructions that the PayPal account holder gives to PayPal. This is explained below. A PayPal subscription is created by the PayPal account holder and tells PayPal to send a certain amount of money to a certain person or company on a certain date. Whether or not this subscription continues is entirely up to the PayPal account holder, the person named as the recipient of the money has no access to the PayPal user's account.

If someone discontinues their service or agreement with the named person (or company) the subscription was created for, then they also need to cancel the subscription, PayPal has no way to know whether your service or agreement is still in effect unless you inform them of the status. What that means in a nutshell is that should you stop the service that the subscription was originally created for, you must also cancel the subscription or it will remain in force until such time as you cancel it. Additionally, please don't confuse your service (with us in this case) with your PayPal subscription; they are two separate things. We hope this helps clear up some of the confusion.

Finally once your old subscription(s) or per-approved payments through PayPal are canceled properly, you may reply listing any"PayPal Transaction ID # you have in question within the last 60 days. Per PayPal's TOS we may only review and refund payments made within 60 days.

We look forward to assisting you in resolving this issue in a timely manner.

Subscribers of NationVoice On April 16, 2014, our Ventrilo license, which was issued in 2005 was revoked by Flagship Industries. Going forward, we will no longer be doing business with Ventrilo. We will instead be continuing service for all customers with myMumble. All that you need to do is submit your proof of purchase of your Ventrilo monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, or yearly service, and email address used to register your account via a Sales ticket to myMumble.com. We will also be including our proprietary AFK/Idle script, which will move inactive users to the channel of your choosing. Please also include your preference of location from our Network Map as well, as we offer many new locations that Ventrilo did not offer. In 2012, we did launch our Mumble division, along with the option for customers to switch from Ventrilo to Mumble as needed. At this time, myMumble is only providing Mumble software, which our user base has found to be far superior, and dramatically easier to maintain and support. NationVoice would like to thank all of it’s customers for the years of service, and the community support received since it’s inception. As such, NationVoice is no longer sponsoring, endorsing or providing the Ventrilo software. Regards,[redacted]Owner, NationVoice Communications, LLC

Your Lifetime Membership will be honored, please read and follow the instructions below to reactivate your service.Dear NationVoice Lifetime Members, On April 16, 2014, our Ventrilo license, which was issued in 2005 was revoked by Flagship Industries. Since that time, we have not billed or accepted any further orders from new or existing customers. We have also disabled the ability to purchase any services from our website. That being said, at this time, we will respond via the myMumble.com Billing system to process any new support or sales inquiries.Regards[redacted]Owner, NationVoice Communications, LLC

Review: Nationvoice.com appears to have closed down without any notification and has billed me for service just before closing also. A recurring payment was billed on 4/22/14 then soon after the company disappeared.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of the billed recurring payment amount since the company is no longer providing the service that I was billed for.

Review: I used this company for [redacted]. Two years in a row I was overcharged double for my service and both times I was reimbursed. The second time took a little longer, but I was reimbursed for the overcharge. I had paid for [redacted] for 12/2013-12/2014 and have an email receipt for it. The vent quit working in April 2014. There was no word from the owner or anyone for 2 months. I tried to enter a ticket, call customer service, no luck. I received an email from the owner 2 months later sent to all his customers apologizing for the problem and offering "free" service if we switched to [redacted] (not sure how it is free if we already paid for service). I followed his directions to the "T" many times and all I kept getting was an error page. I was unable to access the new voice option. I looked up his email address I had from the last time I had to get reimbursed for an overcharge and sent him an email. I requested that he just reimburse the remainder of the money from April on as his email indicated that he had reimbursed some of his customers. I sent the email June 24th and have not received a reply. I am unable to contact by phone or email to remedy the situation. I am struggling financially and am unable to just let the money go with no service. I have had so much trouble now that even though I stuck with the company through some problems I am no longer interested in being their customer.Desired Settlement: I just want him to reimburse the money as he has done before and be finished. I have a copy of my receipt, of his email to all customers and my email to him.

In your email sent to me dated June 24th, whereas you requested a pro rated refund for your purchase of unused time, I had replied the very same day requesting from you a [redacted] email address where we could send/process your refund back to. I am not certain whether my response was received. I will follow up today and call you directly to facilitate your refund faster. Could you please as well respond here with a valid [redacted] email address. Once we have this, a refund will be immediately dispatched in the amount requested.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing back with a formal method to process your refund.
