Review: Talked with representative and purchased 2 gal. or product at $79 each, included shipping. Called the next day and cancelled the order. Day 3, my card was charged $220. Called my bank but the charge was already made. Bank told me to contact the seller. I sent 4 emails and no response. Called 5/**/15 and talked with man named [redacted] and he assured me someone would call me back. NO response and the product arrived with no tracking information, or that the 2 gal. had shipped. I want to return their product, still in original box, unopened, but want my $220 credit.Desired Settlement: only credit my card with full amount of $220. I will return their unauthorized shippment.

After speaking with the customer,it was mutually agreed that we are sending a return label to him, and issuing a refund.

Review: The floor paint that I bought from them was not supposed to peal off of floor and was not supposed to be slick, and it did peal and is very slick when wet or with wet shoes. The paint was

put on a new cement floor and was put on per. directions of theirs on the can. This floor is in my garage and it is 24x30 and [redacted] said I needed 3 gal. to do it and told me that it had

a 15 yr, warranty, started to peal where my tires set in about one week after it set for 48 hrs drying as was told to do. I have slipped on it and almost fell lots of times. [redacted] told me

that it would not do that, this paint is used in garages all over the world and holds up fine, will not scratch, peal or get slick when wet.. I have tried to solve this problem for almost a year and no one will get back to me on this,, I have talked to [redacted] lots of times and he just tells me that customer relations would get back to me and no one has as of the writing of this. I

also talked to other people, at that business and same thing is told to me..I would appreciate any help you can give me on this problem. Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the cost of the paint and the cost of the labor I will pay, I feel that is fair.

Review: I PURCHASED $1,200.00 OF THEIR CEMENT COATING FOR AROUND MY POOL, AND THEY SAID IT HAS A 15 YR WARRENTEE. I DID MY POOL LASY FALL AND THE SEALER IS PEALING OFF, PLUS THEY TOLD ME TO POUR IT INTO THE CRACKS AND HOLES. I DID THAT AND IT NEVER DRIED. I GOT PICTURES OF THE SKIN I HAD TO PULL OFF AND THE BOTTOM OF MY SHOES & PANTS THAT GOT THE COATING ON THEM. IF THEIR PRODUCT IS SO GOOD LIKE THEY SAY IT SHOULD HAVE DRIED AN SHOULD NOT BE PEELING OFFDesired Settlement: I WANT MY MONEY BACK

Review: Their salesman promised that the product would work as described and last for ten years or I would receive a refund. They do not return my phone calls requesting warranty service.

Salesman also promised that the product would cover my deck with one coat, when it actually took three coats, and is already coming off the surface after less than one year of use. Have photos to submit as evidence.Desired Settlement: I would like a full or partial refund of the purchase price.

Business

Review: I actually have 3 problems with this company. Customer Service is first, I've called them 5 times, sent emails 5 times no response. Sales is second. The sales person described the product and how it would work on my garage floor. I asked multiple questions to ensure how the product was to be applied and how much I needed. The sales person stated I needed between 4.0 and 4.5 gallons of product, and if you buy 5 you will the 6th free which also would be good to apply. I purchased what they recommended 5. After about 2 weeks I receive a call from the sales person asking how is it going, I stated I did not apply the product, I was in the cleaning mode, he stated that I should purchase a product called Power Solve for cleaning the concrete, this will remove all grease and oils from the concrete to ensure good adhesion I purchased it. Product is third. First the power solve did not do anything. I applied on a small about of minor dirt, did not do anything, even tried it on my kitchen floor, nothing. The actual coating does not do what they say it will. I applied as instructed, after 24 hours you could walk on it. According to the sales person, and the product description you can drive on it 48 hours. It's been 2 weeks and the product is soft and anytime you put a ladder or other item on the floor, come back in 2 hours and marks are left. I finally reached a person at the company, he stated I put too much product on, that I only needed about 3.5 gallons. He said it will cure, but not sure how long. I told him I applied the product as I was instructed too, I further told him that I run a small business out of my garage and now I'm losing money because I can put the equipment back. He stated he understood my frustration and said to wait a few more days and then see how it was, as well as call him again. He said he understood but just give it a few more days. He also told me he was going to send me a shipping label for the power solve so he could give me a refund. It's been 6 days now, no return label, called him again today (10-**-13) and no response again. Nothing. This company should be shut down.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay to have this product removed and a different product applied.

Knowing this will not happen, A full refund for both the coating itself ($600) the power solve ($170), trailer rent for the additional time ($150). If this product does finally cure, it will require a sanding and additional product to be applied. They can either provide me with an additional 3 gallons or money to purchase a different product.

Business

Response:

After speaking with the customer, it was mutually agreed that the customer will be returning part of his purchase for a refund. If you have ant questions please give us a call at ###-###-####.

Consumer

Response:

The agreement that National Coatings provided to me was for thme to send a return shipping label so I could return the product they sold me that did not work. That was for a refund of $170.00. In addition, then told me to call them back after the product had cured for a few more days, and they would give me a partial refund to cover the cost of the rental trailer that I need for an additionl month. This was in the amount of $200.00. I have called ten times and they have nopt responded.

Last week I called again and spoke to a women who said the person I needed to talk to was busy and they would call me back in a few minets. He call 4 hours later but I was busy. I've again called 3 times and have not received anything.

Business

Response:

The customer was issued the credit of $160.85 at the beginning of the week.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

I echo the first complaint on this Revdex.com site. The product is junky; when applied it never really dried, and tires leave marks all over it. When I attempted MULTIPLE times to discuss, no calls back. Then I emailed to their Yahoo account (shoulda known THAT was a red flag!) - no response.

Then I left a message on their 'corporate sales line', telling them I'd like to buy their product...and got a call back in ten minutes. Explained to their sales manager (who sold me the junk in the first place...but he didn't remember my name after pursuing me for four or five months to buy the junk...) that I needed help, he'd have 'technical services' call me back. They did, but never left a number to call them back...and to date, no call, no resolution, zero faith in this gang. If you Google Earth their 'business address' it's either in a neighborhood, or the address to a residential boat dock. Don't spend a minute nor a dollar with these folks!

Review: I searched online for a product that could seal my garage floor and found a site for The Surface Master (i.e. National Coatings). I inquired online to get some basic information. A few weeks later I received a call from [redacted] of National Coatings telling me they were having a month end inventory reduction sale and that I could get their product at a substantial savings. I agreed to purchase 3 gallons of their product for approximately $333 and provided my credit card information. That evening I went back to their site and spent some time reviewing their various links and started getting a feeling that the company may not be legitimate. Many details were lacking...lots of nice photo's and testimonials, but not a lot of fine print I would expect to see. As a result I did some further research including the Revdex.com website and read some of the complaints. Reading some of the complaints made me feel more uncertain about my decision to purchase. I then [redacted] the address of the business [redacted]...there is no such address. I found properties on [redacted], but none with that #. I then went to the town assessor's website and double checked and no such address. I then checked the town to see if [redacted] might be a resident or possibly an employee who works out of his home but was not able to find anything under that name. I also checked the owner of the companies name in that town and didn't find anything. At this point, I decided to cancel my order. I called Chase my credit card company to see if the sale had been posted yet and it was "pending". I asked them to cancel the charge as there was no way the product was shipped at that point. They said my only recourse was to cancel with the company directly and that I could file a complaint if the charge was not voided and I was unhappy with the sale. I then called [redacted] and told him I wanted to cancel the order and that I verified the charge had not been processed. I also emailed him with the same information to cancel the order. A few weeks later the product arrived at my house, the charge had been processed, and the sale was complete. The product shows up in unidentifiable paint cans with no labels and some dents from transport etc. Further feeding my suspicions. I do not trust putting this product on my garage floor only to have a bad outcome that can't be remedied. I have called 2x this week with no return phone call. Chase is now involved to help with my refund/return request.Desired Settlement: I will happily return the product, but I am concerned about mailing it at my expense to a location that I don't think exists. It will cost me $50 or so to ship it and I may end up getting it back and just add further to my losses. Is this a legit company??

Review: I first ordered (5) five gallons of paint, color is concrete grey it was not enough to cover my deck so I ordered (3) three additional gallons and they sent me the wrong paint color, it's was grey which is an entire two shades darker. I called them they sent me another (3) three gallons of paint and again was the wrong color. I have called them 8-10 times sent them pictures of the difference in colors as they asked and they now refuse to answer any calls or return any emails.Desired Settlement: If they cannot match the original color, they either give me a complete refund on all (8) eight gallons of paint and make arrangement to pick up the (3) three gallons of wrong color paint that is at my house or send me (8) gallons of paint that matches. This still doesn't take care of the additional costs I have of paying the painters to reseal the deck again.

If not I will precede seeking not only a complete refund but damages as well.

A refund will be issued.

Review: I purchased 3 gallons of paint to do my garage floor from salesman Mike A[redacted] phone number ###-###-#### explained what my current situation was with the floor. He told me the product that he sent me would meet my needs and also explained how to prepare the surface and how to apply it. I did everything that he told me as well as followed the instructions on the can. It said not to go on the surface for 24- 36 hours. I waited for 195 hours before I drove my car on it and the next morning when I backed my car out there were 4 black marks where my tires sat for the night. I called Mike the next day and he said that was very unusual and that he would have his tech department call me right away. I waited 3 days for that to happen and there was no call back. I called Mike again but he did not answer this time so I left him a voice mail asking either him or his tech department to call me which they have not done. I can be reached at cell number ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: I would like either a refund of the product that does not do what I was promised or contact from the business with a solution to my problem.

Review: ,.On the telephone I ordered a gallon of coating for my slate patio to test it. I paid with my [redacted] card and then received 6 gallons of cement coating (1 Free). They charged my card $500 plus $50 shipping. I attempted to contact them, but my calls were not returned. I then filed a dispute with [redacted]. Over a period of six months, I have refiled with [redacted] every month. I have attempted numerous times to contact them and they did not return my calls. I spoke with two people at National Coatings once each: Kyle Austin who told me he would have someone get back to me - they never did, and Steve Norr who told me he would email me a return address label so that I could return the product. I never received the email. [redacted] wants proof of return before they will proceed further.Desired Settlement: National Coatings to send me the information necessary to return the product and issue a refund upon receipt for the total amount ($550).

Business

Response:

We have sent Darryl another [redacted] return label. When the merchandise is returned we will issue a refund.

Review: The Carlyle Jupiter Island is a condominum in Florida; I am the [redacted]. I was contacted by [redacted], a sales rep for National Coatings, Inc. about their product--Surface Master Protective Coating. The product literature promises excellent UV protection,slip-proof,stain resistant, environmentally safe and touts a 15-year guarantee against cracking, chipping, leaking and peeling. I explained to [redacted] that we had grey pavers in our front entrance/parking area and asked if the product would be right for this type of paver, as well as for our environment--Florida hot sun,on the beach, salt air. She assured me the product would hold up fine and reminded me of the 15-year guarantee.

I purchased the product at a cost of $6,500, of which they asked for 50% deposit and the balance at delivery. I complied. I had several additional discussions with [redacted] and her [redacted], [redacted] regarding the compatibility of the product and our pavers. On more than one occassion I requested they have a rep from their company visit the site for a personal view. They assured me that was not necessary.

We applied the product to our pavers, as instucted; at first it looked great. However, within 6 months the entire front entrance was streaked with yellow stains, it was completely faded, chipped, peeling and slippry. It was hideous! I contacted the two sales reps and begged to have one of their representatives physically come to our building and inspect the damage, but they continued to deny my request. I sent them photos of what our pavers looked like; I informed that 3 people had slipped and fallen out front. Another rep from the company--[redacted]--contacted me and said possibly the wrong product was sent., the gallons without the necessary additive of "vulcanized rubber." He suggested we re-apply a second coat with the proper product and sent me an additional 30 gallos for an additional cost of $2,000. Very hesitant to add more of their product I brought in outside consultants; theyall agreed it was not the right product for our pavers/environment. I again contacted Nat'l Coatings and told them that I would be returning the 30 gallons and that I was rightfully expecting a total refund ao all the costs I incurred. In further discussions we agreed upon an amount of $6,062. However, Nat'l Coatings could not"afford" to pay it in one payment. They would send a $1,000 check every week or two. Again, I foolishly agreed. I received 2 checks in October and 1 check in November, 2013 for a total of $3,000. I have yet to receive a response from [redacted] or [redacted] to my several e-mails. I incurred considerable additional costs to strip the pavers of their inadequate, inferior material, twice. National Coatings has falsely advertised the promised features and safety of their Surface Master product; and they have completely reneged on their guarantee as well as our refund agreement. They have shown themselves to be deceptive, unprofessional and clearlywithout any business ethics.Desired Settlement: For National Coatings to refund the balance of what is due the [redacted], and, now the additional $3,000 it cost t strip and prepare the pavers for proper sealing.

Review: I PURCHASED THE SURFACE MASTER PRODUCT FROM NATIONAL COATINGS THE END OF DECEMBER AND RECEIVED IT THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY. WHEN I PURCHASED THE PRODUCT THE SALESMAN INFORMED ME THAT IF I HAD ANY CONCERNS OR ISSUES I COULD RETURN THE UNOPENED PRODUCT FOR A REFUND. THE WINTER WAS VERY COLD HERE AND I WAITED UNTIL I COULD MAINTAIN AN ADEQUATE TEMPERATURE IN THE BUILDING I WAS USING IT IN AND THE MIDDLE OF MARCH I BEGAN USING THE PRODUCT ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS IN A TEST AREA TO BE SURE IT WAS GOING TO DO THE JOB THAT THEY INDICATED THAT IT WOULD. I WAITED A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER PUTTING IT DOWN AND IT WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT. I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS IT GOT A RETURN PHONE CALL AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO RETURN THE UNUSED PORTION OF THE PRODUCT FOR A FULL REFUND. I SHIPPED THE PRODUCT BACK TO THE COMPANY ON 3-**-2015 ASSUMING THAT IN A FEW WEEKS I WOULD GET A REFUND ON MY CREDIT CARD. AFTER 30 DAYS PASSED I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND SPOKE TO [redacted] AND HE INDICATED THAT I WOULD RECEIVED A REFUND THE FIRST OF THE FOLLWING WEEK. I WAITED AND CHECKED MY CREDIT CARD AND HAD NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. AFTER SPEAKING WITH [redacted] AND ONE OF HIS COWORKERS 4 TIMES SINCE AND HAVE BEEN PROMISED A REFUND EVERYTIME BUT HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ONE AND I AM GETTING CONCERNED THAT I WILL NOTDesired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND AS PROMISED FOR $900.00

Sincerely,

Review: In or around March of this year (2015) I purchased 5 gallons of floor coating for $500 with a sixth gallon offered free as a promotional sale. I called and spoke with the sales rep several time to make sure that I did everything correctly to prepare the garage floor for the coating. I was also offered a 1 lb. bag of citric cleaner to clean the floor before applying the coating. I then proceeded to empty out my garage (July of 2015) and take on the project. I rented a floor surfacing machine from the Home Depot with a diamond wheel to assure that all the old dirt would be removed and employed a concrete contractor familiar with operating such a machine to ensure a quality job. Once the floor was prepared, I then used an etching product as instructed to further insure that the floor coating would adhere properly. I was instructed by the National Coating sales rep that the floor must be completely rinsed off several times and allowed adequate drying time to make sure no moisture was in the concrete. I made several calls to the company to reassure myself that I was not missing any steps and was given different timeframe answers as to drying time and drive on time once the product was applied. This started to make me nervous since the answers differed and I am a "follow instructions verbatim" type of personality. The cans that the coating were shipped in have very limited information printed on the label, unlike what one would expect from a normal paint can. After the coating was applied and allowed to dry for 5 days, we pulled our cars into the garage. Once again, I called the company first to make sure this was enough time to dry. The floor started bubbling up and peeling within 3 weeks of being used and I was distraught. Another call to National Coatings followed and I was told to sand and clean the bubbling areas and use some of the coating I had left over to put a second coat on the floor. I followed these instructions, sanding and cleaning the areas as instructed. I waited 5 days to make sure the surface was completely dry. I applied the second coat to the problem areas and again waited 5 days before bringing in the cars. The coating immediately started peeling under the tires as they turned while pulling the cars in to the garage. I have done everything possible to try to achieve the surface I was promised and am completely disappointed with the results. The salesman told me that the product has a 15 year warranty but no warranty papers were shipped with the coating. I was told that if I had a problem, I should contact customer service and they would take care of any issues. I have called repeatedly and left messages. No one has returned my call. I have over $1000 invested in the floor coating, including the product cost, labor cost, equipment rental cost, and cleaning supplies. I would like a full refund of the $500 I paid for the coating. Once I am refunded my money, I will ship the remaining part of the last gallon I have back to the company; if they want it and provide me with a prepaid shipping label.Desired Settlement: My money back

Business

Response:

After speaking with the customer, it was mutually agreed to give the customer a partial refund.

Consumer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter Will be considered resolved once I receive the credit of 50% of the material cost back to my credit card as was verbally agreed to over the phone. This credit was said to appear on my card in approximately 15 days. I would like to keep this complaint open until payment is made.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased two gallons of their coating for my commercial kitchen. fortunately I did a test patch, inside and outside on a different surface. They both can be scratched off with my fingernail. Numerous phone calls and e-mails and not one response. They never pick up the phone.Desired Settlement: a refund and an explanation of why they don't answer the phone, actually given the quality of their product no wonder they don't ever answer the phone!

Business

Response:

It was mutually agreed that upon receiving the unused gallon from the customer a refund will be issued.
