On September 27, 2015, there was an account placed by *** ***, Inc., (***) with NES for collectionsNES does not own the account but was attempting to collect the total outstanding balance on behalf of ***. NES spoke with Ms*** on September 28, and reached an agreement to put her account on a loan rehabilitation program with payments of $per monthOn October 5, 2015, a letter containing the loan rehabilitation agreement was sent to Ms***Between October 5, and December 1, 2015, NES made attempts by phone and by U.SMail to reach Ms*** in an effort to follow up with her regarding the loan rehabilitation programNES was unable to make phone contact with Ms*** during this timeframe and on December 1, 2015, a letter was sent notifying her of the possibility of an Administrative Wage Garnishment (Garnishment)This letter also contained information on how to request a hearing regarding the GarnishmentOn January 6, 2016, NES received a signed borrower acknowledgement form, which is a part of the loan rehabilitation agreement referenced aboveAlthough we received the borrower acknowledgement form, none of the required payments have been receivedBetween December 1, and January 1, NES made continued attempts to reach Ms*** to make arrangements for repayment of the loanNES was unable to make phone contact with Ms*** during this timeframe and on January 1, NES again sent Ms*** a letter notifying her of the possibility of GarnishmentNone of the mail sent by NES to Ms*** was returned to NES as undeliverableOn January 11, 2016, a Garnishment order was sent to Ms***'s employer. The letters sent to Ms*** provide NES' address Edison Blvd., Unit A, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087-2340)Ms*** is welcome to send payments to that addressAdditionally Ms*** is welcome to pay online at www.nesl.com or by calling NES at 877-603-7165. If Ms*** would like to discuss options to stop the Garnishment and enter the rehabilitation program she can call our compliance department at 877-603-and we will be happy to discuss these options. On February 21, 2016, there was an account placed by *** ***, Inc., (***) with NES for collectionsNES does not own the account but was attempting to collect the total outstanding balance on behalf of ***. While A NES representative did call Ms***'s husband's place of employment and ask to speak to him, the representative did not state that there was an emergencyNES takes very seriously any allegation that an employee may have acted improperlyNES does not encourage or condone the actions described by Ms*** in her complaintAs such, the collector involved has been counseled with respect to the allegations and in the proper handling of consumer accounts. Per Ms***'s request, NES has made the necessary changes so her and her husband will not be called again by NES in regard to this account. On July 2, 2017, there was an account placed by *** *** ***(***), with NES for collectionsNES does not own the account but was attempting to collect the total outstanding balance on behalf of ***. NES spoke with Mr*** on August 16, 2017, and explained that the account in our office is a private student loan and is unable to be consolidated with federal loansIf Mr*** is able to provide evidence that the above mentioned account was included in a consolidation, NES will review it with our clientMr*** may send documentation to: NES Edison Blvd Unit A Twinsburg, OH Fax: *** Also on August 16, 2017, NES spoke with Mr*** and reached an agreement with Mr*** to pay $2,on August 16, followed by payments of $monthly for monthsMr*** made a payment of $2,during that phone callThe payment was processed and posted to his account prior to Mr***'s subsequent request to cancel the payment. On August 17, 2017, Mr*** spoke with NES and mentioned that he thought the account had been consolidatedA NES representative provided Mr*** with a telephone number for *** (***) where he could call to confirm the account had not been consolidated. On August 21, 2017, Mr*** called into NES and requested all future payments to be canceledThe payments were canceled at that timeDuring this conversation, NES explained again to Mr*** that private student loans are unable to be consolidated with federal loans. On September 14, 2017, NES received notice that Mr*** August 16, payment of $2,was charged back. NES made no threats to take Mr*** nor were any of the NES representatives hostile towards him. On January 4, 2016, there were four accounts placed by *** *** *** *** ***, with NES for collectionsNES does not own the accounts but was attempting to collect the total outstanding balance on behalf of NSLP. NES contacted *** *** on January 4, 2016, and attempted to verify *** ***'s date of birth in order to confirm we were speaking with the intended person*** *** declined to verify the information and the NES representative provided *** *** a toll free phone number with which she could reach NES in the futureThe number was different than the local number that was displayed on *** ***'s caller ID, however, both telephone numbers belong to NESAs requested by *** ***, NES has taken the necessary steps to ensure that *** ***'s phone number, ***, will not be called again by NES, in regard to the above referenced accounts. If *** *** would like to discuss the accounts, she may call our Compliance Department at ***We hope this brings this matter to a conclusion but please contact me if any additional information is needed.
