Review: Last July 7th, I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and LG refrigerator from [redacted] in Wilmington DE. Rebate information was submitted to NECO Alliance for both products by the due date of August 7. A request for further info was sent by NECO for the fridge on August 8, 2014. The rebate for the LG came, but nothing came for the Whirlpool. Their information said it could take until November. I waited until then, and contacted them around thanksgiving. They said to send the forms and info again. On 2/11/15 I received an e-mail stating this: Thank you for participating in the WHIRLPOOL JUNE 12 - JULY 7, 2014 DELIVERY & INSTALLATION ALLOWANCE NECO ALLIANCE VISA REWARD CARD promotion.Your request for a rebate has been received.Unfortunately your rebate was rejected due to the following reason(s): -RECEIVED PAST POSTMARK [redacted] DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL ADDRESS [redacted] This email has been generated by an automated service machine. Emails sent to this address WILL NOT be responded to.Tracking #[redacted]If it was past the submission date, why did they say to resubmit it? And what happened to the original submission that was sent on time? Why is it that the customer always has to pay for the mistakes of shoddy businesses, and why are businesses allowed to continue with these rebate scams?Desired Settlement: I want my 50 dollar rebate plus compensation for the time lost and frustration accumulated for having to play this rotten rebate game.
I would like to join or help start a class action lawsuit with you if you have not already started one. My experience was different but the result is the same, not what we were offered and instructed by our sales agent. I believe with all the obstacles in place to hinder a person trying to obtain their offered rebate it has to benefit the company more often then the customer. My email is [email protected]
Review: I purchased [redacted] appliances from [redacted] with the promise that there would be a $75 rebate issued by NECO Alliance. I complied with all the terms of the rebate and submitted the rebate for approval and processing. The rebate was accepted and approved by NECO Alliance on 10/29/2015. The rebate application stated I would receive my rebate 16 weeks from the date the rebate was approved. As I mentioned, the rebated was approved on 10/29/2015. I has now been over 16 and I have not received my rebate. I contacted NECO Alliance several times to inquire about the status of my rebate. I have been told I have to wait an additional 12 weeks for rebate. I asked to speak with a manager, was transferred to a voicemail, left a voicemail, and no one has returned my call. I believe NECO Alliance is a scam and has no intention on issuing my rebate. I'm sure there are 100s of other consumers in the same situation as I am. Since I have complied with the terms of the rebate and the rebate has been approved, I am requesting that the $75 rebate be immediately issued.Desired Settlement: immediate issuance of $75 rebate

Response:
The details provided by [redacted] are accurate in terms of contact dates and approval dates. There was an unfortunate delay in the payment cycle. We have made the correction and [redacted] card will reach him in the next few weeks. Our apologies.

Review: Never received a rebate although all the information was provided. the rebate was denied due to insufficient receipt, although receipt from the merchant was provided. NECO insisted on a specific detail on the receipt that is not given by the merchant. after several attempts to merchant to provide with a receipt that states "Paid in full", one was provided. when forward finally to NECO a reply was sent that rebate is now closed!. contacted the merchant by email but no reply! the original receipt provided by merchant was sufficient to deliver the item to me but not sufficient to NECO to provide with rebate money. Just to add that all serial numbers were given to NECO to prove that we have bought the item. no attempts from NECO made to inform us regarding the status of the claim as well.
poor execution of rebates policy! I wonder how many more people were effected. Also worth mention is that there were 2 rebates on these items, one was granted by another rebate program/company and one was not. I found it hard to believe that for one company the information was sufficient and for the other it was not!!Desired Settlement: would like to receive the rebate money from NECO!

Response:
Upon receipt of the paid in full invoice from [redacted] on February 23, our initial team looked at the claim and was unable to process due to the program being closed. At the same time, it was escalated internally on behalf of [redacted] The claim was subsequently approved on March 9 and will be in [redacted] mailbox shortly.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, as long as I will actually receive it. I have tried to contact the business several times to speak with a supervisor with no success. Hopefully we can follow up in a month and see if I actually received the refund.
thanks for your intervention in this matter
