This business has already had almost thirty days to issue this refund. They stated in an email on 10/23/17 that it would be issued. I do not see the need for additional review on their part.

This response makes no sense.  Hopefully Revdex.com can provide the official answer, but I have to believe that Revdex.com is indeed an appropriate venue in which to request a refund.  After all, upon receiving North River's response, I was prompted by the Revdex.com system to indicate whether I accept or reject "the Response Made by the Business to Resolve this Complaint."  In other words, North River was given an opportunity to resolve the complaint, and the only thing it has done is assure me that it is looking to correct its past mistakes, together with an invitation to request a refund via email if I "wish for a refund."  Do I wish for a refund?  Well, gee, North River, you billed $29.99 to my [redacted] account over three months ago and provided me with no goods or services.  North River is not a charity and I am not in the habit of giving handouts to private corporations, so, yes, strange as it may sound, I actually would like my money back.Regards,

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. . I am rejecting NRO’s response because I did not receive a substantive update on my order, still have not received the product I paid for six weeks ago, nor have I received a refund.  I submitted my initial Revdex.com complaint on 6/6, and received a reply from NRO on 6/8 stating the following:  “This will be sent over to the office right away and your matter addressed by the end of the week.”  As of today (6/12), I have received zero communication from NRO regarding my order beyond an automated form email saying it was delayed.  I immediately replied to NRO’s automated email on 6/8, sent an additional follow-up email on 6/9, and left a voice mail on their main number on 6/9 as well (they never answer their phone line).  NRO has not responded to any of my communications.  My order/complaint was not “addressed by the end of the week” as they promised in their response.  All I’m asking for is to know whether they intend to actually ship the products that I already paid for six weeks ago?  If so, I would like to know when I should expect to receive them?  If they don’t intend to ship me the products, why won’t they provide me with a refund?  This seems like a pretty simple dispute to resolve, given that I’m more than happy to either receive the products I already paid for or have my payment refunded.  The only other explanation seems to be that this company is an intentional internet scam/fraud operation.

The company STILL has not given me my money back and they are now telling me to go through my credit card company.  It has been over FOUR months to get my money back.  This company is a scam.  I want my money back immediately - the credit card system has ZERO clue what this company is talking about.  Both charges show on my statement.  Also, it's not a normal credit card, it's my husbands bonus card so they do not dispute charges.

I will continue to reject any response until I am refunded my money. Once that occurs, I will feel more confident in Accepting the Response from NRO. As you know, talk is cheap so I will wait until I am refunded to say that I am satisfied with how this dispute is resolved. Just to be clear, I have only received three emails from NRO. One of which was saying that my order was placed, the second was saying that the order was out of stock, and finally, one saying that my refund was being processed and it would take 10 days. I have attached a screen shot so you can see that it has been significantly longer than 10 days without a refund. Below is a timeline of our email exchanges. Please note that my demeanor does not become demanding until after several unanswered requests for status updates. I would be happy to take screen shots if you would prefer to see proof that I have not doctored my responses. I even included the snarky ones! May 25th: I place order and credit card is charged.May 30th, 9:57am: I receive this email:Hi [redacted],We have received your order and we would like to update you on your order status. Unfortunately, due to high demand, we are temporarily out of stock of the duck umbrellas. We have placed an order for another shipment which we expect to be arriving soon. If you would like to wait for the umbrellas to become available again we can certainly keep your order on file. If not, we can cancel and issue you a full refund.May 30th, 3:48pm: I respond: "I would like to keep my order!"June 19th, 11:42am, after not getting a response, I email saying: "Hello - Just inquiring about the status of the duck umbrella order. Thanks, Lizzie"June 22nd, 12:31pm, after not getting a response, I write: "Hello- Can I please get my order refunded? Thanks, Lizzie"June 23rd, 9:03am, after not getting a response, I write: "Hello - I have emailed three times about cancelling my order that I was charged for but told the item was out of stock. Please issue a refund. Thanks, Lizzie [redacted]"June 25th, 7:27am, after not getting a response, I write: "Can I get a refund on the product I paid for but never received?"June 25th, 3:36pm , after not getting a response, I write: "Please refund this order. I have emailed several times about this"July 6th, 10:56am, after not receiving a response, I write: "Still waiting on this refund. Please provide an update. Lizzie"July 7th, 9:31am, after not receiving a response, I write: "This is absolutely ridiculous. I shouldn't have to email this much to get a refund on a product you sold that was out of stock. Please refund my purchase. [redacted]"July 9th,8:11pm, after not receiving a response, I write: "Please refund this order. It has been more than 10 days including the day off for the holiday. [redacted]"July 11th, 11:28am, after not receiving a response, I write: "Still waiting on this refund. I have reported this to the Revdex.com and it seems like this company has quite the reputation for pulling these stunts"July 12, 12:36pm, after not receiving a response, I write: "Still waiting on this"July 13th, 11:06am, after not receiving a response, I write: "Still waiting on this refund. Any day now..."July 14th, 8:50am, after not receiving a response, I write: "How's this refund coming?"July 14th, 5:39pm, after not receiving a response, I write: "Seems like you forgot to refund my order before the weekend. I am sure you will get to it Monday..."July 17th, 8:12am, after not receiving a response, I write: "Seems like that refund should be processed now. Can that be done by today please?"July 18th, 9:15am, after not receiving a response, I send: A picture of a Nigerian Prince (Sophomoric Imagery) and write: "I found this picture of you. SCAM" You can see why I would think this company is a scam. The online chat is down and references the email address that I was using that I was not getting responded to. The phone number I called references the email address that I was using that was not getting responded to. I left a voice message that was never responded to. I tweeted at the company inquiring about my refund and was BLOCKED. A lot of red flags.  I don't know about many stores selling out before product is shipped because I haven't had any trouble with other stores but either way, refunds shouldn't take this long.

I submitted a complaint with the Revdex.com against North River Outfitters regarding 2 canceled orders that I have not received a refund for.  I placed the first order, Order # [redacted], on 12/17/2016 for $69.00 and the second order, Order # [redacted]  on 12/22/2016 for $69.00.  After over a month from originally placing the orders I contacted Customer Service multiple times to cancel the orders and refund my money because I had still not received them.  Customer Service gave me the run around about refunding my money.  Here it is 4/3/2017 and I still have yet to receive my $138.00 back.  Is there a higher complaint that I can file?  I have been arguing with this company for over 4 months with no resolution.

[redacted], please send an email to [redacted] to begin an email thread requesting a refund.  Revdex.com is not an appropriate platform in which to request a refund, nor is it one to be able to issue.  Best,NRO Online

Further review is not a solution to this complaint. On 10/23/17 NRO informed me in an email that I would be receiving a refund and to allow 7-10 business days to receive it. It has now been at least 25 business days and I still have not received this refund. Patience is not going to solve this as I have already had almost 5 months of patience since this order was entered. It is obvious why NRO has an "F" rating from Revdex.com. A business model of delay and deflect is not the way to do business.

As a result of the last message, I was not aware of any action needed on my part.  The message response from the merchant on 3/20/2017 stated to give them a week to follow up to that message, which did not happen.  Nothing, to my knowledge, has been done to provide a sufficient resolution to this complaint.  They sent my wife an email stating they would refund our money, which we do not want.  We paid for an item that we wish to receive.  Even if they were to refund the money, they still didn't even complete that.  Please reopen this complaint (#[redacted]) and follow up with the merchant.

The above complaint was closed this week.  North River Outfitters provided a phone number for me to call.  I've called the number they provided about 10 times.  They do not answer.  I feel like I'm back to square 1 with this dispute.  Could you please reopen this complain and assist me in obtaining a refund for the order that was placed back in December that was subsequently cancelled.  Please let me know if you require any additional information.

[redacted], please email us about your order request via email (located on the Contact Us tab on our website) so that we may look further into your matter, and have it taken care of as soon as possible.  Please know that Revdex.com is not an appropriate platform to request personal information about your order so an email thread will best be suited for your matter and resolution.  Thank you. -NRO Client Services

I ordered a product that I cancelled because it would take up to six months delivery date. They told me it was no problem to cancel the order and get a refund. I was told I would get a full refund $169 USA dollars. They said I would get a refund within 5-10 business days. That was several months...

ago. The company does not respond to voice mail or email. I have attempted to contact them over a dozen times (6 emails, 6 voice messages). No response.Desired Outcome: Refund

Thank you, and that is perfectly fine.  Please allow two weeks for the processing of your request.  Also, feel free to email us at [redacted] if you should have any questions or concerns- we now have new personnel watching this account for all incoming emails.  We kindly thank you for your patience. NRO Client Services

[redacted],  thank you for bringing this to our attention, we apologize for the delay in response- we are a little short staffed due to numerous employee vacations.  We will forward this to the shipping department to have them double check their previous shipments to make sure it was not over...

looked.  We will also have someone contact you by the end of this business week to discuss your matter. Thank you,NRO Online

[redacted], thank you for the attachments as it will make this process move at a much faster rate.  We will be working on your order resolution today and tomorrow with [redacted], and will find where the issue began and resolve it as promptly as possible.  As for the number that a North River Outfitter (brick-and-mortar location) employee gave you, it should have been ###-###-#### which is also the only one listed on our site in numerous locations (the number you recently called in on).  So, we are not sure where they received the initial number they gave you, maybe they read it off to you incorrectly during your first call- the number above is the only one that Online uses.  We do thank you for being as patient as you are, we do just request it for a little while longer.  We will have this resolved shortly.Thank you,NRO Online

We completely understand the frustration of the refund delay.  Please know we are working on it as quickly as possible, and again please feel free to email us being that Revdex.com is not the correct forum to use for updates and to place your private information. NRO Client Services.

The business should not have accepted my order and charged my credit card knowing they could not or did not know when they could fulfill the order.  Two months since placing the order, the business still cannot tell me when they will fulfill the order despite telling me they would keep me up to date by email.  My last update from the business was an email of March 22, following our online chat,  telling me they would keep me up to date via email from that point forward.  Three weeks have passed and they have not provided a single update and only after being contacted by Revdex.com, they still cannot provide an update as to when the item will ship. The business should reverse the charge to my credit card and then contact me when they have stock of the item to request if I still want them to fulfill the order.  Otherwise, cancel the order in full and refund the credit card.
