Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

It will be my first visit.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
Christina [redacted]

Thank you for your response regarding this matter. Though Ms. [redacted] continues to press forward with this matter, Online City Tickets maintains that all necessary ticket and order details are shown to customers prior to checkout.  As we have previously clarified, Ms. [redacted] was adequately notified prior to checkout that all sales are final and that all prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). This information was stated on our website’s checkout page in bold text directly above the box Ms. [redacted] selected to signify her agreement to our sales terms and conditions. Though Ms. [redacted] has indicated she was not offered compensation, this should be noted as inaccurate. Ms. [redacted] was in contact with several members of our customer service department on 11/9/2016, and all of her concerns were thoroughly addressed at that time. Ms. [redacted] was given an opportunity to accept compensation; however, she declined. As it presently stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Had no idea that the tickets had been doubled in price and an extra service charge would be almost the value of the tickets original face value. I know to buy from venue directly next time.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we...

merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Ms. [redacted] claimed that we represented ourselves as the venue, however, it should be noted that our branding is intentionally different from those of any other site. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by Infinite Energy Arena." The page simply displays all available tickets Online City Tickets has listed for the multiple events occurring at Infinite Energy Arena. Ms. [redacted] stated that she did not agree to the order total, this should be noted as inaccurate. Our website is user-driven meaning no order can be placed without the customer having been made aware of all order details. When Ms. [redacted] viewed her tickets for the [redacted] event on 2/14/17, the top of this page clearly reiterated, “We are a resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue or box office.” Once Ms. [redacted] selected tickets, she navigated to our checkout page and was directed to review the itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price in bold text of $490.55. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold, “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Since customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Ms. [redacted] mentioned some concern that her tickets were not valid. Online City Tickets ensures customers that every order is protected by a 100% Money Back Guarantee that the tickets customer’s receive will be authentic and will arrive before the event. It should be noted that in addition to this current claim, Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] have also filed a dispute with their credit card company regarding this order. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. If Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] have any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] purchased tickets on 9/26/16 and received their valid tickets minutes later. They then proceeded to download these tickets on 9/27/16 for their event on 2/14/17, therefore fulfilling out 100% Buyer Guarantee. As such, we consider this matter closed. Regards,Online City Tickets

Thank you for your response regarding Mr. [redacted] concerns. Online City Tickets maintains that our checkout process -- which did display ticket prices and quantity, all fees, and the total charge for Mr. [redacted] order prior to purchase -- was sufficient opportunity for Mr. [redacted] to review all relevant information. After being shown this information, Mr. [redacted] proceeded to enter his payment details and check the box to accept our Sales Terms and Conditions and agree that all sales are final; upon submitting his order, it was then immediately confirmed by the seller. At this point, we are unable to refund Mr. [redacted] as we do not own or generate any tickets; we merely facilitate the transactions between buyers and sellers. The ticket seller has not violated any of our Terms, so we cannot void the transaction.

Although Mr. [redacted] continues to press forward regarding his conversation with our customer service agent, we have addressed this matter thoroughly in our previous three responses and maintain that we did not advise selling on venue premises on the day of his event. Rather, we simply suggested that he could resell his tickets to friends or family or through an online ticket resale marketplace.

Though he was not entitled to a refund per the Terms and Conditions to which he agreed at checkout, we were in contact with Mr. [redacted] in an attempt to reach some amicable resolution; however, our offer was declined. We trust that we have sufficiently addressed Mr. [redacted] concerns raised here and in his previous complaint to the Revdex.com, number [redacted]. We have also addressed a dispute that Mr. [redacted] filed with his financial institution, which was ultimately ruled in our favor on 10/5. If Mr. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this order, we encourage him to contact our customer service team.

Regards,

Fast and easy process.

Thank you for providing this response. As we previously clarified, the listing our customer selected stated "GA PIT" which is an industry standard for general admission where specific seats are typically not assigned and row and seat numbers are included on the ticket information for inventory purposes. The resolution which was offered was done as a courtesy, stepping outside of the terms which were agreed upon by our customer. In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Finding the tickets here was easy and actually pleasant. They offer great seating and good prices. The service charge was a little unexpected because you're not informed of that upfront, it is not until you do the purchase. But the Hamlin and service charge isn't that bad either. I still purchased my tickets here. And they were still more than competitive against the home box office or other deals that were going. Purchasing, ordering, downloading and printing was a breeze as well. I am not going to the event you had to make sure that when they get scanned everything is just as pleasant, however I do expect that to be just fine and I plan on buying more tickets from them as well.

Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously here at Online City Tickets and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means...

we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket Buyer’s and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.”When Mr. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, they were directed to review their itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Mr. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. After checking the box and clicking “Review Order” they are taken to the checkout page which features an even more in-depth order summary that displays the number and prices of their tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge. In regards to Mr. [redacted] issue regarding a different name being on the tickets they received, it should be noted that this is actually a common occurrence. Because listings on our site are owned by trusted sellers, the tickets often ship from these sellers directly to customers, and so may display the name of the original purchaser. We ensure that this is not an error, but simply information left over from when the tickets were first issued. All tickets are guaranteed to be transferable and valid for entry to their respective events, and customers are never required to present identification that matches the name printed on their tickets. We have been in constant contact with Mr. [redacted] regarding this issue and, as a one-time courtesy, provided a resolution that suits both parties. While our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that Mr. [redacted] may have, we consider this matter closed.Regards,OnlineCityTickets

Very good experience

Smooth and easy. Website said it could be the day before the concert before we recieved our tickets (more than a month) but we got them before the evening was over. Thanks....

Complaint: 11005085
I am rejecting this response because:  I was offered a  refund of $150.00 via a telephone conversation but have yet to see it.  Therefore it is not resolved.
Sincerely,
Kym [redacted]

I did not realize I was not buying my tickets from [redacted] Box Office
Your charging me $100.00 over what I could have bought them for at the [redacted].
I clicked on [redacted]nand did not realize YOU over rode what I wanted on the Web Sight. It's dishonest and way over priced!!

Very easy site to use.

ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue." As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; instead, we act as an intermediary between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Since customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must enforce an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. We have attempted to reach the [redacted]s by phone on several separate occasions, but have been unsuccessful. While we are unable to provide a refund in this situation, we would like to assure Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] of our 100% Money Back Guarantee, which ensures that all tickets will be valid for entry to the event, or their money back.  Our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that the [redacted]s may have and we encourage them to contact us directly; as it presently stands, we consider this matter closed. Regards,Online City Tickets

This was very simple and I received the tickets I ordered at a great value. Great job and thank you!

Good and thanks

When we showed our tickets at the event we found out Online City Tickets sent us tickets for the previous day. We then had to purchase more tickets at the event. Later when I called Online City Tickets it was very difficult to get a refund even though they admitted it must have been a computer glitch. I was told my order had to be reviewed and that they would get back to me 24-48 hours later. I had to demand they resolve this promptly. After speaking to 3 people and 45 minutes of phone time they agreed to a refund. I will be filing a formal complaint if the refund does not show up.

On 9/18 Ms. [redacted] selected tickets for [redacted] on 2/3/17 clearly listed as “$207.00 each.” Here she was notified of the Excepted Ship Date with this listing specifically stated, “Expected Ship Date: 1/24/2017.” As a secondary marketplace, the prices of tickets on our site are set by the individual ticket sellers, not Online City Tickets, in accordance with their assessments of a range of market factors such as customer demand. Because Online City Tickets does not own or generate any tickets we therefore do not set or control delivery date. Rather, the Estimated Ship Date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Online City Tickets has no affiliation.

With regard to Ms. [redacted] claim that the order total for her tickets, including fees, was not available prior to entering [redacted] information, it should be noted that this is inaccurate. Once these tickets were selected, Ms. [redacted] navigated to our Checkout Page. Here Ms. [redacted] was directed to review the itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price in bold text prior to entering any payment information. This breakdown specified that Ms. [redacted] order total, including fees, totaled $814.25.Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout.

On 9/18 Ms. [redacted] contacted us regarding this order. Our customer service agent thoroughly described the checkout process to Ms. [redacted] expressing that all fees and price per ticket are entering any payment information. We offered, as a courtesy, to reach out to the seller to see if an amicable resolution could be made for all parties regarding this order. However, the seller later informed us that he would not be able to meet Ms. [redacted]'s requested resolution.Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

Prior to receiving this complaint Online City Tickets offered Ms. [redacted] a resolution, stepping outside of our Sales Terms and Conditions agreed to by Ms. [redacted] upon checkout. However, Ms. [redacted] did not see this as a positive resolution and explained that she would contact to her bank. Following this conversation, Ms. [redacted] filed a dispute with her financial institution regarding this order. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage her to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. If Ms. [redacted] has any addition questions or concerns regarding this order, we welcome her to contact a member of our customer service team.
