Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the concerns of our valued customer. Though Mr. [redacted] filed this claim, our records indicate that this order was placed by Ms. [redacted]. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate...

tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. On 3/28/2017, Ms. [redacted] purchased tickets to see [redacted]. This event was later rescheduled by the artist for a later date. As Online City Tickets is not affiliated with the artist or venue, such matters are outside of our purview. Mr. [redacted] reached out to us about this date change and indicated that he would no longer be able to attend. It should be noted that Mr. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] typically would not be able to receive a refund for a postponed event, per the policy agreed to at checkout. This policy, which is clearly specified on our policies page and stated at checkout, states, “If an event is cancelled, you will be given a full refund. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your order will not qualify for a refund and your tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date.” Our policies further mention, “Event date, times, venue and subject matter may change." These policies are in place with the goal of ensuring that our customers can attend the event they originally selected. We consider the interruptions rescheduled events may cause in order to be responsive to the needs of our customers. In the interest of customer service, we reached out to Ms. [redacted], as she is the customer who placed this order, and offered a one-time courtesy cancellation. Ms. [redacted] has since declined this as a resolution and we recently received a dispute from her financial institution regarding this transaction. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution while the dispute remains open. If Ms. [redacted] or Mr. [redacted] have any questions pertaining to the dispute process or outcome, we encourage them to contact the institution with which it was filed. At this time, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
Gail [redacted]I still feel tricked into thinking that this was where one goes to buy tickets to Disney on Ice for the Redsch Center in Green Bay Wi.  When I googled "Disney on Ice Green Bay Wi" this is where I was brought to on the internet.  Because the tickets were being sold here I thought this was where I was suppose to go and that this was a company that contracted with the Redsch Center to sell their tickets for them.  I really didn't understand what I was getting myself into.  I thought the price of $35.00 per ticket was expensive but the price of everything has gone up and it has been many years since I went to one of these performances.  I did not see a breakdown of the actual fees and taxes until after I clicked on "Confirm"  and once I realized that theses tickets were now costing me over $98.00 for two tickets I did all I could to try to cancel this transaction.  I contacted Luke, Chris B. and Jasmine R. at customer support for this company and they all refused to give me a refund even though I requested one promptly.  Since I did not understand what this company actually was or how much they were charging until the transaction was completed, I feel I am entitled to a full refund prior to the event.  They had two weeks to refund me.  They did not even mail me the tickets.  Instead they emailed me two informational pages that are suppose to be presented in lieu of the tickets.  I don't even know if they will be accepted at the event in place of the tickets.  This has gone all wrong!  I am very reluctant to buy anything off the internet again.  I feel I was deceived and they know it.  Gail

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/18) */
OnlineCityTickets.com has contacted Mr. [redacted] and we feel that we have reached a resolution that suits both parties. We now consider this issue closed. If Mr. [redacted] would like to attend another live event in the future, or if he has any...

questions about an order or our website, we welcome him to reach out to us.
Thank you,
OnlineCityTickets.com

Very easy to use. The only thing I feel I didn't like was the amount of fees and additional charges.

It took a while before I was notified of my tickets arriving so I would recommend that an email be sent that indicates the status of my order. Its been almost a week until I heard anything. However, my tickets were delivered and I had no problem downloading them so that is a good thing. I will submit a positive review for this.

Thank you for getting back to us. As indicated in our previous response, the listing Ms. [redacted] selected was clearly marked for Section: Bleachers 12, Row: A-CC. The following note was visible at multiple locations throughout the checkout process: "After you place your order and your order is confirmed, we guarantee that your tickets will be within the listed zone or section listed or one comparable and that you will receive these tickets in time for the event or your money back."Ms. [redacted] was provided with tickets in Section 12, Row BB. As such, Online City Tickets provided the exact tickets she chose, and has fully adhered to the sales terms and conditions that Ms. [redacted] agreed to prior to checking out.In response to Ms. [redacted] concern about the service fee, it must be noted that the service fee is the only revenue that Online City Tickets generates from a transaction. Based on a range of factors, the service fee covers all of our operational expenses, from payroll for the in-house customer service center to the cost of finding ticket sellers and verifying that their tickets are authentic and valid.Due to the transparency of our checkout process, we maintain that Ms. [redacted] was not misled regarding the location of her tickets. The tickets remain valid for entry, and we are unable to cancel or refund the order. We did offer to provide a courtesy resolution to this matter, as part of our effort to assist Ms. [redacted] with this issue beyond what is required by our sales terms and conditions. However, Ms. [redacted] declined that resolution. If Ms. [redacted] would like to discuss a resolution or has any additional concerns, she is welcome to reach out to our customer service department. As it stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely...

facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue or box office.”Although our customer has indicated that the selected lower level tickets during the checkout process this should be noted as inaccurate. Our site is completely user-driven meaning that all order details are either selected or in-put by the customer. After our customer selected the event they were interested in, they proceeded to select a ticket listing. The listing our customer selected at this time clearly stated, “Section: 202 Row: 13” with the notation that this listing was classified as Zone Seating clarifying that tickets will be within the listed zone or section listed or one comparable. On the checkout page, complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order including the location of and price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $474.31 was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the page. This information was fully disclosed before our customers are asked to enter any payment information. Below this order summary, our customers are notified in the Ticket Information portion of our site that, “We are a resale marketplace. We are not a box office or venue. This site is not owned by any venue. Price: Ticket prices may exceed face value.” Customers are then presented with our terms and conditions, including a bold message which clarifies, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms and the statement, “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above. I understand that I am not purchasing directly from the venue box office and that tickets may be above face value.” For every order place on our site the customer’s order total is reiterated below this in large, bold text. Customers are then prompted to select the "Review Order" button below these terms. Once selected, customers are taken to a review page which displayed their payment information, order summary and provided an additional itemized cost breakdown of their order. Our customer then proceeded to select "Confirm & Place Order", at which time their order was processed.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Online City Tickets, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. This fact is disclosed on the top of every page of the website. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. The tickets our customer received on 10/6/2017, prior to their event on 1/9/2018, were in the exact section and row which our customer select during the checkout process. In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their credit card regarding this order. We are unable to assist further while the dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Easy to use site, uploaded tickets and printed without a glitch! Thank you for making it this easy to take my granddaughter to this event!

It was ok.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory.  The problem was resolved via a full refund.  I do not, however, believe resolution would have been reached with Revdex.com assistance.  So much appreciated!
Sincerely,

The prices are not the same

It was a very positive experience. Easy to pick my seat, easy to order tickets and received tickets very quickly after they were ordered.

Directly at the top of every ticket listing page on our website it states, "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue."When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. During this process, Ms. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the number and prices of her tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets does not own inventory. It is a common occurrence that tickets may be higher than the face value. This is due to the fact that prices are set by sellers, not Online City Tickets, based on the individual seller’s assessment of a wide range of factors including customer demand. As with any live market, prices tend to fluctuate; as a result, prices may be higher or lower than face value depending on the current market value. This fact was noted for Ms. [redacted] on the top of every event listing, ticket listing, and checkout page clearly stating, “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” Though Mr. [redacted] indicates that Ms. [redacted] was not notified of this, this information was additionally reiterated on event listing page stating, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by [redacted] Arena” and on the checkout page clarifying, “Price: Ticket prices may exceed face value.”After selecting the listing she was interested in for the [redacted] B&B Circus, Ms. [redacted] was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery method. After a delivery method is selected, since methods vary in price, a new order total is calculated. A complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order including the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $145.27 was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the page. Additionally, in the interest of customer service we offered Mr. [redacted] a one-time courtesy offer on 2/13/2017. Mr. [redacted] declined this resolution and we later received a dispute from their financial institution. We addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. Ms. [redacted] placed her order on 1/18/2017 and received her valid tickets the following day prior to her event, which has since passed. As all pertinent order information was sufficiently displayed, we adequately addressed their concerns and attempted to provide a resolution, we consider this matter closed. Should Mr. or Ms. [redacted] have any additional concerns, we encourage them to contact our customer service.Regards,Online City Tickets

Thank you for your response regarding this matter. Online City Tickets maintains that Ms. [redacted] was adequately notified she may be paying above face value. As we previously mentioned, the prices listed on our site are set by sellers based on their assessment of customer demand and market value. Additionally, as Ms. [redacted] has accepted our previous response, we consider this matter closed. We encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact us with any additional concerns she may have regarding her order.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: My main complaint was that they misspelled my name.  When I asked them to change the spelling, they would not.  They would not cancel the order. This was an order for tickets to a concert that was selling out quickly.  We ordered for ourselves and friends.  Friends paid for their tickets.  I was afraid this was a fraud.  What company would not be willing to correct errors on a credit card statement?  In addition, they stated that I would need ID to prove these tickets were mine.  I couldn't do that; my name was misspelled.   2 days later, they quickly sent tickets.  I didn't know what name was on them. They corrected things on the credit card charge.  Again, I had no idea if I was going to be able to get into the concert.  I feared losing friendship and having to pay my friends for useless tickets.  This company was totally uncooperative. I found out that they charged us approximately $80.00 over the going price and we had horrible service.   I never received an apology.  Up until the time we walked into the arena doors, I didn't know if I was going to be able to attend the concert or not. I still have not heard a word from the company.  I have been cheated and mistreated.  I'd like to have that extra $80.00 back because of the horrible service and the predicament that I was placed in.   I will not buy from them again.   [redacted]@hotmail.com

Experience was very easy . Only negative would be that there was no way to use two (2) credit cards for - what I thought was - expensive. My total was $212 and I would have preferred to divide that amount between 2 cards, but wasn't able to. Oh well...still want to go and bought the tickets anyway!!!!

Everything worked great!
