Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

Thank you for reaching out to usAt Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concernsIt should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.Although our customer has stated that their tickets were not delivered prior to their event, this is inaccurateOur customer placed their order on 7/28/at 10:PM CST and received their valid tickets to the email address on file at 10:PM CSTOur customer later contacted us and the tickets were re-sent the same day at 11:PM CSTThese tickets were again sent on 7/29/at 7:AM CST and 8:AM CSTOur customer proceeded to download these valid tickets at 9:AM CST and 7:PM CST prior to their event which has since passed.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and do not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellersSince our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry and agreed upon by customers at the time of purchase. Before receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to provide clarificationAs our customer's valid tickets were delivered and downloaded multiple times prior to their event, we consider this matter closedShould our customer have any further questions, we welcome them to contact our customer service department so that we may provide assistance.Regards,Online City Tickets

? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I feel that the way this company does business by redirecting customers from an established venue website without making it known, and then grossly overcharging them to profit "unnamed ticket sellers" makes it blatantly obvious that they are running a scam? If I had known that I was no longer on the Irving Pavillion website, or had any idea that the phrase "third party" meant anything, let alone know that that would mean my getting charged exorbitant amounts over, or that the actual face value of these tickets was half of what I paid, I ABSOLUTELY would have left their scam site immediatelyI ABSOLUTELY called this company immediately after the purchase and was denied by one of their rude customer service aganetsIt was very apparent that contacting them further would get me nowhereThis, along with the HUNDREDS similar complaints on the Revdex.com website really shows that this company is highly unethical and needs to be stopped.? Sincerely, [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

Great experience, no hasslesTicket arrived within hours of placing the order

Thank you for your response regarding this matterAs we previously stated,? all tickets listed on our site are owned and priced by individual sellers, not Online City Tickets, based on their personal assessment of the market valueThough Mr [redacted] continues to claim that his order total was not disclosed, no order can be placed on our site without the customer being presented with their order totalAdditionally, each customer is required to signify their agreement to our sales term, including our "all sales are final" policy, before placing the order.? As we stated in our previous response, all tickets are owned and listed by individual sellers, as such, the? largest portion of any order placed goes directly to the seller; the service charges represent the charges that Online City Tickets uses to? maintain? operating costs including our website, screening sellers to confirm valid tickets, and providing customer service.? As the dispute Mr [redacted] filed with his financial institution remains open, we are unable to offer Mr [redacted] with an amicable resolution at this timeAs such, we consider this matter closed.? Regards,? Online City Tickets

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My main complaint was that they misspelled my name? When I asked them to change the spelling, they would not? They would not cancel the order This was an order for tickets to a concert that was selling out quickly? We ordered for ourselves and friends? Friends paid for their tickets? I was afraid this was a fraud? What company would not be willing to correct errors on a credit card statement? ? In addition, they stated that I would need ID to prove these tickets were mine? I couldn't do that; my name was misspelled? days later, they quickly sent tickets? I didn't know? what name was on themThey corrected things on the credit card charge? Again, I had no idea if I was going to be able to get into the concert? I feared losing friendship and having to pay my friends for useless tickets? This company was totally uncooperativeI found out that they charged us approximately $over the going price and we had horrible service? I never received an apology? Up until the time we walked into the arena doors, I didn't know if I was going to be able to attend the concert or not I still have not heard a word from the company? I have been cheated and mistreated? I'd like to have that extra $back because of the horrible service and the predicament that I was placed in? I will not buy from them again? Thank you for reaching out to us in reference to the concerns of our valued customer Ms [redacted] We appreciate the opportunity to address this matterOnline City Tickets operates on the secondary market, which means we do not own or generate tickets?"instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersTo this end, we are committed to providing the best possible customer service and maintaining a simple, transparent checkout processThough Ms [redacted] has filed this claim, our records indicate that the order was placed by Mr [redacted] .? Ms [redacted] has stated that she was unaware our company has no affiliation with the venue or artist yet, Mr [redacted] has ample opportunity to understand the nature of his purchase as Online City Tickets has no affiliation with the venue, as we are simply a marketplace for ticketsDirectly on our homepage we state, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venueTicket prices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue or box office.” Additionally, the checkout page Mr [redacted] viewed reiterated this information prior to placing his order.? Regarding Ms [redacted] ’ claim that the order total did not reflect the fees prior to purchase, it should be noted that this is inaccurateOur website is user-driven, and no order can be placed without the customer having been made aware of all order and pricing detailsWhen Mr [redacted] selected the tickets he was interested in, he was taken to our Checkout pageWhen Mr [redacted] selected a delivery method, an itemized breakdown of his order populatedThis order summary included the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $1,in bold textThough Ms [redacted] has indicated otherwise, this information is provided to customers prior to entering any payment informationAt this point, it is stated in bold text, “All sales are finalAll prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Mr [redacted] was then required to agree to our terms and conditions by selecting a check box that stated in bold text, “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above.” Ms [redacted] also expressed she was unaware these tickets were purchased above face valueHowever, the fact that tickets may be above face value is also stated throughout the checkout processSince we operate on the secondary market and are not owned by the venue, all tickets available for purchase on our site are owned and priced by individual sellersThese prices are set based on the sellers’ assessments of various market factors such as customer demandThis fact is stated throughout the checkout process including at the top of the ticket listing page it states, “We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue.”? Ms [redacted] mentioned our 100% Money Back Guarantee to which we would like to provide clarificationOur policies clearly state that this guarantee ensures that customers transactions “will be safe and secure, the tickets shall be delivered prior to the event, the tickets shall be identical, comparable, or better than the tickets you ordered, and the tickets shall be valid and authentic.” This guarantee does not, however, allow for cancellations upon customers requestSince our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy?"a standard throughout the industry.? Mr [redacted] purchased two tickets for Section Row M and received Section Row D; these tickets are considered to be an upgradeIt should also be noted that the change in delivery was to the customer’s advantage and is subject to changeMr [redacted] received his tickets through his email as electronic instant download, which only requires him to download the tickets to scan from a smartphone at his event’s venue.? On 12/6/16, Mr [redacted] placed his order for [redacted] tickets and received his valid and authentic tickets via email on 1/5/17.? Prior to receiving this claim, we were in contact with Mr [redacted] on 12/8/and offered a courtesy resolution in the interest of customer service; however, this offer was declined.? We have fully adhered to our sales terms and conditions and consider this matter closedShould Ms [redacted] or Mr [redacted] wish to discuss this matter further, they are encouraged to contact our customer service department.?
