SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management has been in contact with the client and we’re working towards a mutual resolve.     RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management has been in contact with the client since receiving the complaint and is working towards a mutual resolve. As the client stated, she...

hired Optima Tax to investigate her tax liability and present her with our formulated strategy to help resolve her case. Optima Tax acknowledges that the client’s investigation took longer to complete than originally anticipated. However, Optima Tax has presented the client with a complete summary of her tax liability as found through Optima Tax’s investigation.     In regards to the client’s statement about the transaction that was processed, Optima Tax was given signed authorization from the client to process the payments towards our service fee. The client agreed to the payment schedule when she entered into the written agreement with Optima Tax. The client should have no fears that her personal information is not protected as Optima Tax makes efforts to ensure our client’s personal information is secure.   At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possible. Optima Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns appropriately and considers the matter closed. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.

Optima Tax Relief was extremely attentive from the first time I spoke with a rep to the final step with the offer acceptance. They were always on top of keeping up with any updates, requests or just checking in. Their professional staff was quick to handle some urgent matters. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking assistance. They are worth giving a call.

I am actually having a moment of disbelief and internal euphoria right now because I just got the call that my case of multiple years in back & unfiled taxes has been brought to a close, Amen!!!

I know each persons case is and will be different but anyone having Tax Issues may have the same anxiety, fear, frustration, and naïveté when it comes to all the financial jargon associated with the IRS and taxes. I'm telling you the fear and anxiety caused even further procrastination in me to rectify my tax problems.

I called the office outside the gym before my workout and spoke with an AMAZING worker, Nancy H. This was such a strange place to call about taxes but I couldn't ignore the issue any longer. When I tell you that she put me at ease and gave me honest hardcore TRUTH, I just prayed and thanked God for this godsend.
The turnaround time to resolve my taxes wasn't a 2 day thing like an H&R Block case. It took some time (approx 1yr) to get to this point of resolve. - this is customary with someone who multiple years- EVERY STEP OF THE WAY things were laid out to me. I could ask questions and they would go over EVERY SHEET WITH ME. It was like having a tutor help you with homework.

With Optima there's no need to be afraid of the unknown, just ask!!! They worked with me when payments were due. Their fees for representation far outway what the net amount + penalties would've been.

I've already told family members and 2 friends about how great the services and the employees are.

...No need to keep a good thing quiet so I spread the word. Best of luck with whatever your situation may be, in my opinion Optima Tax Relief is the way to go.

I have yet to discuss the issue in depth with them, I did speak to a representative and explain to him that while I am traveling on business I would not be able to dedicate the proper amount of time required due to the nature of this issue. Their representative was trying to get me to sign an agreement for a large sum of money even after I explained that I would not be able to make the large payment, his response was " Just sign it and send it back, when the due date comes, tell them you cant make the payment and we will try to change the due date" is this for real? Stressing the need to resolve a matter with the IRS in a timely manner is a good thing, but using the scare tactics and pressure to get me to sign an agreement that I told him I could probably not comply with is a very shady business practice and they should be held accountable, I can only imagine how many people out there wind up in similar situations.

SUMMARY -
Optima...

Tax's management contacted the client to address his
concerns and the client has agreed to continue services with Optima Tax.

RESPONSE
-
Optima Tax’s management has made contact with the client to
address his concerns as outlined in the complaint. The client expressed his
frustrations regarding not receiving a copy of his tax returns. Although the
client did provide Optima Tax with all the necessary tax-related documents,
there was a specific form that the client needed to complete before Optima Tax
could finalize his returns. After informing the client as to the importance of
Optima Tax receiving such information and the substantiation for his expenses, client
confirmed that all his concerns had been addressed. Furthermore, his tax returns
have been completed and sent to the client for final review before being
submitted to the IRS. We are pleased that the client has decided to continue
his relationship with Optima Tax and
that the client is satisfied with our services.

At Optima
Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and
all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by
that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to
turn them around when possible. Optima Tax believes it has addressed the
client's concerns appropriately and considers the matter closed. Please do
not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.

Optima Tax's management is still in contact with the client to
discuss the concerns in her complaint as well as her follow up response. The
statements Optima Tax made in our initial reply still remain true. As was
stated, we have documented evidence that the tax years 2010, 2011, 2013 and
2014 were included in the Installment Agreement. Per the IRS agent, of which
the client has a name and employment identification number, the client did not
show a balance for the tax year 2012 and was issued a PIN number for the year
to protect her from identity theft.
When the
client initially brought this matter to our attention, we asked that she send
in the documents to show that the IRS has indeed initiated enforcement action.
Our associate also presented the client with the option of conducting a
Compliance call to ensure that the agreement we negotiated, per the IRS letter
dated July 28, 2015, was still in place. The client subsequently refused to
perform all actions.
Unfortunately,
the client will not allow us to validate her claim and is unwilling to comply
with our requests to assist her in this matter and rectify any potential
discrepancies. Optima Tax was more
than willing to look into the matter at no additional cost to the client. This
situation can be easily resolved if the client will accept our assistance in
the matter. Optima Tax is more than willing to continue engaging in
conversation with the client and hope that the parties can soon reach a mutual
understanding.

Whatever events that happened in our case you will always insist you did your part in very generic  statements .Thank you  indeed you put us in more mess and allowed your auditors and tax lawyers to be bullied by the IRS. Back and forth we will try to exchange pleasant words that will not convince  our belief  that you were not honest  from the beginning. How long are we going  to deal with this before we see any intention from you to resolve this case?  Now it is up to you to put this behind and negotiate your way to a finer result.

Optima Tax relief really let us down! They put us in a worse situation with the IRS plus in addition we are out $3,500 that we could of used to pay the IRS. When we voiced how unsatisfied we were the staff comments were rude. No one ever follow up and they happily closed our contract and took there money. All the work they done for us we did previous with the IRS. "save your money" We got scammed!

example before Optima tax relief I negotiate with the IRS to pay

Based off our review, there is no evidence that the client was advised that Optima Tax would obtain an immediate release of the levy. Moreover, there is no evidence that Optima Tax is in breach of the Client Service Agreement. For the client’s reference, Section 8.1 of the Agreement defines the refund period in which the client can obtain a guaranteed full refund. Unfortunately, the client did not make his refund request within this time period and therefore we are not in breach of our Agreement. Additionally, since August 31, 2016 Optima Tax has been diligently trying to establish communication with the client to go over why we could not release the levy and to discuss the refund policy. Without a response from the client, we cannot resolve his concerns. A simple conversation can easily resolve this matter and we are more than willing to come to an amicable resolve with the client. However, if the client is unwilling to return our calls or reply to our emails we cannot come to a final resolve.

When I first heard of Optima on the radio I was skeptic but after calling and talking with them I was convinced they could help me so I signed up. They always called to update me on my situation and progress and to a if I had any questions or concerns at that time. And after all was said and done I went from owing more than 55,000 to less than 3,000 I would recommend to everyone that has tax problems. They changed my life by helping me get it back on track.

SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management has been in contact with the client prior to receiving the complaint to address her concerns as outlined in the complaint and we’re working towards a mutual resolve     RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management has established communication with the client to...

formally address her concerns. Optima Tax had been in contact with the client in late August of 2016 to address the same concerns. During those discussions the client became unresponsive.   As the client stated in the complaint, she hired Optima Tax to represent her before the IRS due to an outstanding tax liability. When the client hired Optima Tax her case was very complex, which required a substantial amount of work. More so, she hired Optima Tax for Audit Representation. After reviewing the client’s situation and presenting this information to the IRS, the IRS was unwilling to adjust the audited amount of the assessment. Thereafter, Optima Tax strategized and determined that amending the client’s tax returns would be the most beneficial to her. By amending the client’s returns, Optima Tax was able to achieve a refund, which the IRS credited to the outstanding balance that the client owed, reducing the balance drastically. With the remaining balance Optima Tax set up a low affordable monthly payment plan for the client.   We can truly understand the client’s frustrations in not receiving the large refund that was owed to her by the IRS. However, that tax year unfortunately was processed 3 years after the filing year. Per the IRS guidelines, the refund essentially had expired and there is no way to retrieve said refund.   Although Optima Tax tried its best to reduce the liability, the tax authority ultimately makes the final decision. Unfortunately they will not waive penalties based off hardship alone. There are a lot of variables that will lead to a reduction. Unfortunately the client did not meet the criteria to reduce any part of the liability. The client claims that she was never advised of the end result however, we have documented evidence that shows she was fully aware of the end result of her case. We made multiple attempts to go over the final details verbally that were unsuccessful. On June 3, 2016 the client was given an itemized breakdown of the services provided and the end result of her case.   At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possible. Optima Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns but will continue to keep all lines of communication open until we finalize a resolution. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.
