Origin of Names Reviews (82)

Review: I ordered a Christmas present for my parents from this company on November 8, 2014, paid 210.00 through pay pal. Today is March 7, 2015 and we still don't have our order. There were numerous emails sent to them that they ignored, finally they replied in February only to say the order was lost and that they'd get it out right away. In good faith I trusted them and waited yet again, but now have tried numerous times to email again about the status and we've been ignored again. I just want my money back now. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with, this is a scam to take your money and never keep a promise to deliver. Others should be warned not to deal with this company.Desired Settlement: I want a refund back on my credit card

ID [redacted]Hello,

Review: On September 5, 2014 I placed an order with Origin of Names/Coat of Arms store. I ordered six items totaling 209.27. Payment was made through [redacted] so the merchant received their funds immediately.

It was my understanding that an embroidered item I had ordered could take up to six to eight weeks to ship. I was provided a link to my order ([redacted]; however, the status was never updated. I did send at least one email to [redacted] requesting confirmation that the other items were being held until the embroidered item was ready for shipment.

On October 24, 2014 I received email notification that all six items in my order had shipped. I checked the order link and it showed six tracking numbers. The order was received on October 27, 2014; however, there were two items missing - the embroidered pennant and a 11"x17" rigid plastic sleeve. On October 29, 2014 I sent an email to [redacted] advising that two items were missing from my order - I provided the item numbers and cost. I received automated responses October 29, 2014 and November 4, 2014. I also received an actual response from [redacted] on November 4, 2015 stating:

"Hello,

Thank you once again for your purchase. We apologize for the slow response as for some odd reason our server was recognizing your emails as spam and blocking them. On the sleeve I'm guessing our packers saw that you ordered a sleeve, but did not see that you had also added one onto your order. We will send the extra sleeve out this week. As for your embroidery these are shipped separately as they are done by hand and take weeks longer for production compared to the other items you ordered. I got a hold of our embroiderer and your embroidery is in the last stages of production. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Have a nice rest of your day.

Sincerely,

Origin of Names"

I sent the following response to [redacted] on November 4, 2014:

"Thank you so much for finally responding to my emails. I was beginning to panic. I thought the entire order had been held for the embroidered item as it had taken nearly 2 months to fill - but I realize there was likely research time involved on two of the names.

Again, I thank you for your response. I will patiently await the embroidered pennant and will watch for the plastic sleeve.

[redacted] "

I have sent additional emails on November 28, 2014 and December 4, 2014 requesting a status on my order and have received only the automated response acknowledging receipt of my email. The items ordered that were not delivered totaled $106.94. They were ordered in September as Christmas gifts.Desired Settlement: My preference would be to receive the products ordered in time for Christmas. If this is not possible I would like a refund of the $106.94 charged for the two items that were not received.
