great company great service I will recomend %1000

Review: I hired Out Of State Movers for my move to Florida from New York, there was a price of $800 set at time of order. When I made the order I told them that I needed my belonging's on the [redacted] of january. This company was suppose to pick up my stuff Monday January [redacted] 2015, they never did and decided to come on a Wednesday. On Wednesday they told me they will pick up my stuff after 10 am, then I get a call and they told me they will be about an hour or two, they showed up 5 hours later. they are a week late. when I called them on Jan [redacted] to find out where they were, I was told that I have to wait till after the Super Bowl for me to get my stuff. now they are charging me another $680 for this move and I don't have that kind of money with me being a disabled Veteran I can't afford it. I would just like my stuff and to be done with this company for good. I have even called the owner and he has given me a run around. no one seems to want to be straight with me from that company.Desired Settlement: I would like to just have them take the 800 I have already gave them and call it even. nothing more. I already know that when they get here they will not relinquish my stuff

[redacted] did proform a move with Out of State Movers on 01/**/15. When the forman arrived to the pick up location, he explained to [redacted] that the space he needed for the move will be more that he was priced for, and the new price will be $1380 and not $800. He did agree and sign all documents necessary and we did perform the job. When we arrived to Florida at the destination, he stated that he has no money to pay the move. To make the story short, he did got the move for what he wanted from the beggining and the company took a lose of almost $500. So I do belive [redacted] got what he was asking for and I believe this complain is resolved at costumer satisfaction. [redacted]Out of State Movers inc.

They did a great job with the move, we live out in long island and they came all the way here to pack our stuff. They took everything in one day. My parents were happy with the work Carlos R[redacted] and the two other workers did. They packed it all in boxes and kept a good tally of our items. Now waiting for it to arrive at the destination.

Excellent, quick service and fit in our budget! We were very pleased!
This is the 2nd time we have hired this company. The first was for a local [redacted] move a couple of years ago and when we were looking for a company to help us move from [redacted] a to [redacted] we contacted them and so glad we did! The crew of 4 got our stuff out right before a major snowstorm and within a week we met our stuff at our new home.
They took the time to answer all of our questions and everything arrived damage-free.

My name is [redacted] I want to thank out of state movers for a superb relocation service... my son is in a wheelchair with special needs, this process was very dificult for him however of out of state movers team made this process smooth, quick and, efficient.
I highly recomennd.
thanks

Fast reliable service. On time pick up professional service. Very simple and helpful service. Would recommend to anyone

Review: The original estimate for my move was shown to be "all inclusive" however they are not attempting to charge me an additional almost $300 without supplying me any documentation as to why. The original quote was for 300 cubic feet of space on the trailer of which I used less than 100 cubic feet. Additionally I was told that the move would take 7 days and now we are at 14 days with no delivery attempted. I have called multiple personnel at the company in an attempt to find out a status. I was given the number of a delivery driver who told me he would call me back and hasn't as of yet even though I have left repeated messages. Emails and phone calls to the company have gotten no responseDesired Settlement: I would like them to finish the job for the quoted price

Hello my name is [redacted] Thank you for this opportunity to reply to [redacted]’s complain. In respond to the extra $300, the client had 100 cubic feet more than the estimate. Regarding the delivery time, the company is allow by law up to 14 business days from the requesting date. This was also signed and agreed by client before up loading the truck. Out of States Movers are an experience and, professional moving company. All the moves will not proceed before the Walk through with the foreman and, signed documents from all the clients. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

The information listed in the response is not correct. The amount being moved was well less than the quoted "minimum" for the move. The additional money was, I was told by the company, and 18% gratuity that was added for the drivers. This was not listed as such and not explained prior to the move.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Response:

Dear [redacted],We are very sorry for your Unsatifaction of this situation. The record indecades that you were not at the day of the move your Father was. [redacted] senior was explained and aware of the 15% Gratuity for the crew will be greatly appreciated not the 18% as you indicaded. This form was also signed and agreed by your Father, [redacted] senior. This gratuity was divided to the crew members. How ever we are still trying to make our customers happy, there for we are willing to send you a check of $150 to resolve this problem. Wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy New Year.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: On August *, 2013, I received an estimate from the Out of State Mover's relocation consultant, [redacted], in the amount of $847.00 to move the following items from [redacted] to [redacted]:

1. Queen size bed

2. Love Seat

3. Coffee Table (glass)

4. End Tables (2)

5. 40 inch flatscreen television

6. Table lamps (2)

7. Computer table (glass)

8. Single dresser

Based on the inventory list I provided to [redacted] on August *, I was quoted an estimate of $847 to move the items on August **, 2013, from [redacted] to [redacted].

On August **, the movers for Out of State Movers came to inspect the items that were to be moved. After the movers inspected what needed to be moved I was again quoted the price of $847 by [redacted], the relocation consultant. Based upon my conversation with [redacted], I permitted the movers to remove the items indicated in the inventory list provided to [redacted] on August *. On August **, I received a confirmation email with an updated estimate confirming the price of $847, dated August **, 2013, and confirming the $100 deposit I paid to Out of State Movers when the movers came August **, to remove my belongings. On August **, the movers came back to my house to pick up a money order for $430, which was the additional deposit required before the moving company would transport my belongings to [redacted]. When the movers came back on August **, to pick up the money order for the additional deposit I was informed by the movers that the price I was quoted on August * and re-quoted on August **, was incorrect and that the cost to transport my belongings from [redacted] to [redacted] would cost me $2,000.

From August ** to August **, I was never notified that I would be charged any additional amount outside of the original price quoted to me on August * and re-quoted August **, via email and phone conversation for the price of $847. I find it upsetting that the moving company removed my belongings from my house, transported the items to their storage facility, and then try to charge me an additional amount of $1,153 to transport my belongings to [redacted].

I did not agree with the new price quote and Out of State Movers said I would have to pay $150 to have them return my belongings back to me.Desired Settlement: The Out of State Movers has a responsibility to reimburse me the $150 it charged me because I was not provided with the service they agreed to provide to me; moving my belongings from [redacted] to [redacted] at the price of $847. If there was an issue with the price quoted to me I should have been notified immediately before permitting the movers to move my property from my home.

Hello my name is [redacted]

I would like the Revdex.com to review this complaint and dismiss it

Unfortunately we wasn't the moving company that provided this moving job to the client This is probably a classic mistake between moving companies

We didn't perform any job or any services

We didn't collect any payment and we didn't received any payment from the client I do believe this is an honest confusion.

If this is not a mistake please ask the client to provide any documentation (contract bill of lading order for service etc) or any method of payment receipt bank statements

Please will all the respect to the client and the Revdex.com find the justice and dismiss this complaint ...

Sincerely

Review: I begin with a phone call about my move from Queens ,New York to Ellenwood ,Ga. give a inventory of my things and was given a quote of $1014, I liked the quote but wasn't sure if that was the right amount so I made arrangement with the company to come out and inventory my things and give me a quote from that, James came out and looked at all that I had and told me that the quote was right and that the only way it would go up was if I would add more things on the date of the move. this was to include packing and the packing material.

a few days later I call James to see if I could pack the things myself. I was told that would not be a promble and I ask them to still bring me the boxes to do so,was told that they would you that as long as I give them a $150 deposit, in which I agreed to do and they was to delivered the boxes . they never came to delivered the boxes.

on the day of the move the driver wanted to do a walk thur to see what was going and immediately infrom me that I had more than the quoted amount of 343cu ft. and that it would cost me more.

I have to be out of my apartment on that day and couldn't make another arrangment at the last minute, and after having someone from the company come in and go over the invertory and now being told that ,that person was wrong. Next thing was this mover ,driver did the packing in cheap boxes and wasn't wrapping thing with the proper paper. Was just putting everything and anything in wardrobe boxes. because of that things was broken ,,bend and ruin.

I ask James about payments and was told that would be no deposit, but he didn't tell me about payments. on the day of move was told I needed 50% down, I didn't have it and the driver told me that he could do an payment different but tat I would need to make 2/3 of the payment before there would shipped. Also I would have to make depoist by going to his bank and make deposit.

Other promble that I had with this complany was they didn't do the whole job. they pass it on to another company. so when my things was delivery the other crew was rude and didn't handle my things with respect. things came off the truck wet from water, pillow wasn't wrap as promise, things was drop . the crew ask for a tip before doing any unloading. they came 6:00am in the morning ,refuse to move there truck when in my neighbor drive way.

because of this move I had to leaves thing because I can't afford to take them. but theywas onthe invertory list to be included for the move. mattress set, queen box spring .Desired Settlement: I'm asking for a refund of $500, because I was told one thing and they came I and charge me another. I had no way of changing thing on short notice. I feel that I was lei to about them doing the whole job from begining to ed. I believe that they bait and swicth me with this job.

the busness address is not the rigth one, would like the rigth bussiess address for future reasons.

Dear [redacted],We are very sorry for your damaged items, please contact our Claims department for any claims. Anthem Claim Management: ###-###-####. [redacted]

Regarding the price change, you did have more than you stated on the list of items. The price changed because more items was added to the original list of items on the day of the move. You were aware of the new total price before the crew even start to work, and the binding estimate of cost was signed before the crew started to work.Sincerely,[redacted]s R[redacted]Out Of State Moves.?

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

On March [redacted] I requested a quote for a move from Queens,NY to Ellenwood,Ga . Out of State Movers give me a quote for $920.00 for 235 cu ft @4.25 per cu ft. On March [redacted] a [redacted] from that company came to my place and took an invertory of my things and the next day email me an updated quote of 1019.00 for 343 cu ft @3.25 per cu ft. While he was there I question him about the price and he inform me that it would only go up if I had more things added. On April [redacted] , [redacted] the driver and I found out that he was the owner as well. Told me that my things was more than what was quoted. Due to the fact that I was to be out of my place that same day that I had no other choice but to move.As [redacted] and another person began to pack my things in to wardrobe boxes instead of regular moving boxes. there use four wardboxes to pack my things. Kicthen, bathroom, pots and pans lamps shades ,books, dvd's and cd's . all mix in to the same boxes. They use my sheets ,towels ,pillows to cushion things. they wrap my tv and pictures frames in moving blankets and didn't use bubble wrap or crated the electronics stuffs. As he was moving one of the wardrobe boxes it fell and he didn't note that. He was to wrap the last sofa pillow and that never happen. The next day I went to the address on the paperwork to check on things and flound out that that wasn't the company address. so the promble that I am having now is to put in a claim I need some numbers off of the paperwork that [redacted]s gave me, but is is so bad written that I can't see or and read it. . So if you would sent me a readable copy of my paper work so I can claim to lose and a address of your business I will move to the next step. [redacted]

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Business

Response:

We have paper work indicates [redacted] understood and signed. [redacted]’s quote was a list of 41 Items that he needs to move. On the day of the move the list of items changed from 41 items to 68 items. The point is… The items increased from the original quote given by [redacted] , therefore the price was adjusted to the added extra items. The boxes are in different sizes. We filled up each boxes just to save up space. [redacted] agreed to that as well. Instead of leaving boxes unfilled to take up more space in the truck. Finally, contract that [redacted] has in his possessions is the same contract we have in our file. They are copies on one contract. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We used Out of State to move boxes and bedroom furniture from NY to Ga on Sept [redacted]. We were in constant phone contact and they showed up on time at a storage facility. Carlos was very personable, professional and explained the whole process to us. His helper took great care in wrapping the furniture and we left confident our belongings were in good hands. We will likely use them again.

The moving came in time, Carlos R. the mover was excepcional corteous, organize and professional, great job, very please.

Review: I contracted without of State Movers Inc to transport my personal belongings from New York to Florida. When I changed my destination to North Carolina instead of Florida and asked that the final bill be adjusted, [redacted] ([redacted]) told me the price would not be adjusted. The price is the same for the entire East Coast. So if I moved from New York to New Jersey it is the same price, no different from if I moved from New York to Florida, Boston to Florida, etc. Besides being utterly ridiculous, there was never any mention by [redacted] or any of his agents/representatives that: 1) there was only one price for moving anywhere on the east coast, 2) there is nothing in the contract that states or informs the consumer that there is only one price, the same price, to move from one point to another point on the East coast, no matter how small or great the distance. I am confident that if previous/past clients/customer manifests and cost are checked it will show that Out of State Movers does not have a "one price policy" for the entire east coast. Their records will shows a range of prices charged for moves up and down the East coast.

In addition to the above suspect "alleged" company policy, [redacted] stated that "packing materials were included in the price." However during the packing of some of my belongings his agents/representative used my personnel belongings e.g. pillows, sheets, blankets to act as packing/insulation material.Desired Settlement: [redacted] stated that the cost of gas and mileage was included in the price. The cost of gas and the mileage from New York to North Carolina is much less than the cost of gas and the mileage from New York to Florida. I want my moving bill adjusted. I will await a response from you before filing another complaint against Out of State Movers with the Attorney Generals Office.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The Revdex.com has no inforcement powers/authority. I am left between a rock and a hard place. [redacted], the [redacted]. of Out of State Moving Co ordered me to retract my complaint or suffer a number of unpleasant consequences. Rather than have my personal property held hostage, under duress I will pay the balance, which I disagree with [redacted] says is due. [redacted] says the cost for moving anywhere on the east coast is the same; e.g. if one moves from New York to New Jersey, the cost will be the same as one moving from New York to Florida.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

I did respond to [redacted] and I explained to him about the rate of all east cost and how it is the same, and we did deliver his goods as we agreed to (payments and date for delivery). After the delivey I spoke to [redacted] and we talked about some damages that happened during the move and he said that he will make a list and will contact our claim management.[redacted]Out of State Movers.

They were right on time, actually before time, and Carlos and his men worked super swiftly, and were friendly, and explained the financial matters in detail. Overall, very friendly to work with with by phone and in person, giving great service!

Review: I contracted with Out of State Movers ([redacted] USDOT #[redacted], MC#[redacted]) to move me from Maspeth, New York to McBee, South Carolina on July **, 2015. I had been given an estimate $1,202.00 three weeks prior. When the movers arrived that day the amount immediately jumped to $3,250 which I agreed to pay. By 5:00 PM that same day when practically all my stuff was loaded it had jumped again to $6,435 which included a $585 tip that I agreed although I felt it was a low ball bait and switch tactic. I had no choice as my home was sold and the new owners arrived that day. I gave one of the movers Carlos $3,000 in cash that day and signed the contract.

On July **, the Out of State Andy called me in South Carolina to say they were ready to deliver my stuff the next day. I agreed that I owed them a balance of $3,435 and would have it next upon delivery to my door.

On July **, 2015 the movers arrived in a tractor trailer and would not deliver the contents of my home to my door because the road is sandy and they were afraid of getting stuck. But for an additional $600 they would rent a Uhaul truck, unload and deliver to my door. I refused to spend any more money because the contract stipulates a door to door delivery. At that point I called Out of State and spoke with Carlos. He didn't call Andy to resolve the matter at first. We called him again and when I told him that I would file a compliant he became belligerent. At that point Andy was expected to drive further south to Georgia as he had other loads to deliver. I was panicked that he was going to leave with my load. We called Carlos back again and he agreed to a $250 reduction in the amount which was $3,185. We had to scramble and hire local people who had a truck smaller at a cost of $500 and pay them to unload my furniture and possessions to my door. At that point Andy waited at his tractor trailer while the people we hurriedly hired unloaded the load, unwrapped my furniture, set up my bedroom set and table as Out of State should have done. All Andy did at that point was wait for the $3185 and for the return of his blankets. I feel this company took advantage of a situation and low balled me without viewing the contents of my home. Had I known it would cost me five times the amount, I would never have chosen them. They didn't deliver as promised door to door and unwrapping and set up and I feel this constitutes a breach of contract on their part. I would like a settlement for the additional monies I am out and the stress and aggravation and return of tip.Desired Settlement: 25% refund of the contracted amount of $5,850.00 to compensate me for not delivering my load as promised to my door. I would also like return of the 10% tip of $585 as their representative didn't remedy the problem but I had to as the customer. It is not up to the customer to make arrangements for previously agreed and contracted for.

Response:

Yes [redacted] did agreed and signed the Binding Price before Out of State Movers start to load the truck. Customer was always informed ahead of time incase of the trailer won't fit they will be charge for a shuttle. This is another regulation that we follow. Again [redacted] agreed and signed for that too. [redacted] even stated to Our of State Movers that the trailer will fit, and there won't be any problem in NY when the contract was signed. Out of State Movers explain always to ALL our customers about the trailer accesses. Customers are always informed before loading the truck. This is our procedure. We have no intention to spend more timer and more work to make matters more difficult for both sides. We at OOSM have always worked professionally and efficiently to make all moves as smooth as possible.Out of state Movers acted very fast and professionally to resolve the problem as best they could even from afar. How ever Out of State Movers did paid for the rental of the truck, Labor, and fuel, for the Shuttle. [redacted] did not pay for the shuttle like she claims. Actually [redacted] ( the gentleman ) was very nice, and was the one who insist that he will be very happy for the $250 reimbursement, and we did such to satisfy, and resolve any issue. We are proud of what we do, and have been for over 20 years. we apologize for any inconvenience.Sincerely,NoaOut of State Movers Inc.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I told Carlos, the Out of State representative that I was moving to a rural area. In fact this area is surrounded by trailer homes (many are double wide homes) and modular homes. QUESTION: How do you think those homes are delivered? ANSWER: The are delivered by huge tractor trailers. Many bigger than the trailer the Out of State mover was driving. Therefore, there was no valid reason for my belongings not to be delivered to my front door, my furniture unwrapped, my bedroom and dining room set up. It is not my fault if the driver of the tractor trailer that Out of State Movers commissioned was scared and unqualified to deliver the load. In fact my husband used to drive a 73 foot tractor trailer up and down this property all the time when he was a long haul trucker. I had to scramble and hire a local man's truck and crew to take my belongings up to my front door (at least 800 feet), unwrap my furniture and unload and set up my bedroom and dining room set at a cost $500. The Out of State driver and his man did nothing except wait for the cash and return of their blankets. We called Out of State several times and they finally agreed to give us a $250 credit. This still doesn't make up for the cost, inconvenience and aggravation we experienced. It is not up to the customer to make arrangements for an unqualified worker and amounts to a Breach of Contract on their part. I understand that Out of State loaded and drove my belongings from NYC to SC and being a fair person am asking for 25% return of the contract price plus return of the tip which amounts to $2,047.50 because they didn't finish the job. I would settle for $2,000.I understand that Out of State delivered my belongings on a long haul from Queens, NY to McBee, SC and I, being a fair person, am willing to pay for their services. But their driver's inability to do his job resulted in my humble opinion a Breach of Contract. Therefore, I am requesting a 25% return of the contract price plus the tip. That comes to $1,462.50 plus $585 for a total of $2,047.50. I would settle for an even $2,000.00.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Lorraine A[redacted]

They were EXTREMELY professional, punctual with their time, and very fast with the moving process. I have never met a service that has been so hospitable. Pricing is very good and the service couldn't have been any better.
