Re: [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted]:
I am writing in response to the complaint filed by [redacted]. We have removed the name and address from the mailing list.
The mail piece received is just a subscription offer for a magazine. It is not a bill or renewal bill, it is simply an offer and can be discarded if the recipient does not wish to subscribe. We offer new subscriptions and extensions to current subscriptions only for magazines that allow independent agent sales through various magazine clearinghouses. The back of the offer explains the offer and that we are an independent magazine clearinghouse agent. The mail piece states that because we are an independent agent, we do not necessarily have a direct relationship with the publishers or publications that we offer. We have a relationship with the clearinghouses that process our orders. The coupon also states that the offer received is a magazine subscription offer not a bill or invoice, that the recipient is under no obligation to either buy a magazine or renew one and there is also a box to check “No Thank You”, if the recipient does not wish to participate.
Our customers’ concerns and yours are respected.
Thank You,
customer service

Complaint No. [redacted] – [redacted]
I am writing in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] We are sorry the magazine was never received. We were never notified by the clearing house that the order could not be filled. Nevertheless, we have issued a full refund and the check will arrive directly from the bank within five to fourteen business days.

We received a renewal notice for Cycle World for 3 years at $66.95. I had renewed it in 2014 for 3 years which it would end in September 2017, I made copies of the renewal in 2014 and the form that came the other day did not look at all like the one from 2014. Plus the 3 year price was $32.97 so that's when I started questioning this. It is a scam, don't send Pacific Magazine Billing any money. I called the number on the form [redacted] twice and it is a recording and they give a different address to send complaints to than the one on the envelope that came with the bill. SCAM

They said they were collecting payment for Guideposts magazine. I sent in $24.98. the next month I received another bill for the same amount. I investigated and discovered they were not from guideposts. I have called them, written letters, and they will not return my money.

Thank You,

For two years I have been harrassed by this company, filed complaints with the Revdex.com, State Attorney General and still the offers come weekly to pay for subscriptions already paid in full. I finally gave up and cancelled all subscriptions to try to get rid of this companies constant “offers” but they still arrive weekly. They also mail using a Colorado address. Should be in jail!t

I canceled this subscription back on sept 2017 and followed up with a written cancellation in November. Yesterday 3/6/2018 you took 2 different amounts out of bank account. I e contacted my back and my attorney. These people need to be in jail

We paid a bill for my people magazine on 11-17-18. And people is not showing payment from pmb. Will it ever? Is there a email address? I want a refund from pmb. Total scam. Getting invoices from people directly now to pay. Is there any way to talk to a rep? Now I know to never give money to them and pay directly to the magazine.

I cannot tell you enough you about the necessity to email the pacific magazine billing for a subscription you did not order. They should be charged with mail fraud.

+2

this is a hell of a way to run a bussness

I just want to thank ALL who have unfortunately been taken advantage of, and warned people like myself before I succumbed to this SCAM.
I hadn’t even opened the envelope but could see through it that it (looked) was a bill. I thought it strange there was an return address on the envelope but no company or name. So I Googled the address that led me to the scam company and everyone’s reviews.
I am relieved that your reviews were here to help me.
Thank-you so much.

Pacific Magazine Billing. After receiving what looked like a renewal notice for "People" magazine, I mailed a check to "PMB" Pacific Magazine Billing. The check was cashed, but I received no magazines. Upon checking with People magazine customer service I learned that no funds had been received for the renewal of my subscription. This is a deceitful scam.

This is a scam company. I paid for a subscription of $59.95 for Southern Living back in 6/2017. No money was sent th Southern Living.

+1

I received an offer for People magazine thinking it was a service from People. Sent $69.95 towards a charge of $179.95. I then saw that People/Time magazine had deducted the subscription amount from my checking account. The same subscription was $40 cheaper than through Pacific. I called and left a message for a refund. No customer service. You can't even talk to a person. HORRIBLE>

I sent a check to PMB "Pacific Mag Billing" thinking it was my regular TV Guide Subscription.. its not I sent them a check for $79.95 back in Nov 2016, and have never received anything. Has any one been able to get their money back from this "Scam" company? Really ticks me off to be scammed out of money... any help would be appreciated... Review: I, [redacted] J. [redacted], received a mailing from Publishers Periodical Service [redacted], San Marcos, CA 92078 regarding a renewal on a magazine I was already subscribed to for my daughter, [redacted]. I renewed this subscription before the renewal date thru Publishers Periodical Service, for my daughter's Christmas present. I mailed check #[redacted] in the amount of $69.95, 11/25/14. The check was cancelled 12/05/14. I have not received the subscription I ordered thru Publishers Periodical Service. So I called [redacted] Magazine and they had NO record that my subscription should have continued for two more years. In conversation with [redacted] at [redacted] Magazine on 10/27/15, she stated that the most a 2 year subscription would be was $45.00 at most. I called Publishers Periodical Service at 760-688-0666, 10/27/15 and 11/05/15, each time I left a message and no return call has been made as of today 11/09/15. This absolutely disgust me because of the fact this was a Christmas gift for my daughter. I would like the $69.95 returned for my daughter's sake.Desired Settlement: Without a doubt I want this company reported as a FRAUD. I would like the $69.95 returned as this was a gift for a child, my daughter. I would also like the company held accountable for their actions, advertising and not producing what they said they would!

Review: My father subscribed to Sail (magazine) for years. Upon his death in 2010, I, as his executor and heir, began receiving magazine offers and original bills and renewal bills for the above magazine and several others, which of course I did not pay. Over the 5 years since his death, I still am receiving them. I feel it is a SCAM perpetrated upon older people who perhaps no longer remember not only which magazines they subscribe to, but also whether or not they have properly paid for the magazines they do want. Please look into this matter!! I am guessing that this company does NOT exist and that 'Pacific Magazine Billing' is fraudulent. Thank you for your assistance !!! I hope to hear back from you that justice has been done.Desired Settlement: I would like to know the result of your inquiry. Thank you.

Review: I was sent a bill for Consumer Reports for $29.98 for one year which I paid with a check Oct.17, 2015 thinking it was my regular bill from Consumer reports. Now I received another bill asking for $29.97 more. This company, Pacific Magazine Billing, should not be trying to solicit me for a Consumer Reports subscription since I deal directly with Consumer Reports and am paid up until 2018.

In speaking to Consumer Reports customer service they informed me my account number was not the one on the Pacific Magazine billing and that no payment was due. Please inform them that I need to have my $29.98 refunded and I don't want to be solicited again. It is impossible to talk to these people directly by phone using the number on their bill because it is just voice mail. Incidentally, the real yearly rate for Consumer Reports is 26.00.Desired Settlement: The return of $29.98

Response:

We recently received a message from you (San Diego Revdex.com) that the case was closed with no response. We did received a refund from Pacific Billing which was good, however, in the same mail received another bogus bill for the same amount.[redacted]
