Peter Francis Geraci Reviews (224)

Peter Francis Geraci was a great firm to work with! Everyone was very courteous and professional.

Very understanding and very helpful of my situation. They did not pressure me to file a bankruptcy, gave me alternatives to help my situation.

It is an excellent place to come to help get out of debt. Chapter 13 can be better than Chapter 7 in certain situations and Geraci Law will make sure they help you decide the best option for you!

They were very helpful with this difficult process. They were very professional. Great job.

Geraci Law was very helpful with getting rid of my debt and I appreciate them working with me and getting my debt taken care of in a timely manner.

Review: After a 45 minute consultation I decided I had no choice other than to unfortunately file for bankruptcy. I however could not afford it at the time so set up a payment plan. I made monthly payments of $100 totaling $800. NO CONTACT with me was made from Peter Francis Geraci other than when 1 payment was missed because of CC on file expiring. I changed expiration date and was thanked for my payment. I was fortunate enough to get a promotion at work and worked out a repayment plan with my creditors. I called PFG and they informed me that they would review billing and send refund for money other than initial consult in office. After 2 months of hearing nothing I called PFG. They responded with email that contained charges that are ridiculous and total $901.25. Following are fair charges and ghost charges that should be refunded:

Initial Consultation and Attorney Work in office after decision to hire 45 min................................$206.25 Fair

Attorney Work after to prep file, update record, scan documents, make notes

and organize material 30 min................................................................................ Fair

Paralegal petition and document work............................................................................... $50.00 Fair

Calls, emails, client contact............................................................................ Ghost

Preparation of entire bankruptcy petition........................................................................... Ghost Charge. Was on a payment plan and petition was not going to even start until I had entire amount paid. I received information stating that they were going to work with me and begin petition once I had $1000.00 paid to them. NO PETITION WAS PREPARED.

Analysis for this accounting......................................................................... GhostDesired Settlement: The least that should be done is a refund of ghost charges. A refund of $507.50 to the credit card they have on file and charged monthly would be a fair resolution.

Response:

Thank you very much for this opportunity to respond to our clients' concerns. I was unaware there was any issue with his case until I received this complaint. I would have been able to resolve his issue earlier if notified. It's great that his job situation improved so he didn't need to file. That rarely happens and is excellent when it does.

1. Our firm keeps contemporaneous time records of all transactions and communications with clients so our record is 100% accurate. The use of the word "Ghost charges" is simply inaccurate.

2. Our firm absolutely prepared our clients petition and absolutely spoke to and communicated with our client.

3. On 7.22.13 our client called our firm advising us that his debit card expired. At that time he set up an appointment to finalize his paperwork and sign his paperwork for 7.29.13 @ 11:00 at our Greenfield office. That day his petition was drafted with all available information. By that time he had taken credit counseling and our firm had ordered his 2011-2008 taxes. On 7.27.13 an attorney emailed and called our client reminding him of his upcoming appointment and reviewed all his paperwork to be ready for his appointment. On 7.29.13 an attorney called and emailed him about missing his appointment. On 8.7.13 a paralegal called and email him again to set up another appointment to finalize his petition. On 8.8.13 he called our firm with great news that he received a promotion, salary increase, company car, temporary housing and will pay his debts on his own. We asked him for his new address and he would not disclose it and said that all his mail would be forwarded. The next month he was mailed the itemized statement. On 11.19.13 he said he never received the statement. I suspect it because of changing addresses. We again mailed it and also emailed it.

4. In addition to the aforementioned we sent our client an email on 8.9.13 welcoming him to our firm. On 10.10.12 our attorney received and responded to his email regarding credit counseling and card us. That same day we processed his credit counseling certificate that we didn't bill for in our itemization. On 12.4.12 he called our firm and spoke to a paralegal about speeding up the process to filing to stop the creditor calls. He asked if we could file for less than the full fee paid. That paralegal spoke to his attorney and we called him back and left a voice mail message agreeing to file for less than full fees paid and we would trust him to pay the rest after filing.

5. There is work involved in preparing an itemization that was sent to the client. There was work done when he didn't receive the it the first time.

6. There are NO "ghost charges" but I am more than willing to discuss this matter with the client directly. Please call me at ###-###-#### and ask for [redacted].

You have been wonderful every step of the ways I kind of came in the first time looking for info about filing and have decided to.

I am really happy with the service I have received from Peter Francis & Geraci. They are always very friendly and helpful. I would refer anyone I know to do business with them.

Abraham [redacted] a good person, he help me in my case, he work with me very well and faster thank you for you attention.

Geraci Law L.L.C. made my bankruptcy experience simple and stress free. The team of people that I communicated with were friendly, confident, and answered all my questions. I would recommend Geraci Law L.C.C. to anyone considering bankruptcy for debt relief. The initial consultation is free, and you will see if bankruptcy is a good option for you.

I liked that they worked with me on my payments. Also they were very nice during the whole process of filing bankruptcy.

Everyone that I have dealt with at Geraci law firm is very knowledgeable and nice to deal with. I walk out with a lot more hope than I walked in with.

Geraci Law will make things simple for you instead of trying to just throw the law in your face. I recommend to talk to Brent with Geraci.

I am very satisfied with the work done by The Geraci Law firm.
They were very prompt and explained every detail to my satisfaction.

I am an Iraqi combat disabled veteran and a recent cancer survivor. I have had a very hard time financially. I never wanted to file bankruptcy but found myself having to. Peter Francis Geraci has been a blessing. I can have a fresh start and continue on my way to repair my credit which has been poor. It would have taken me years to repair if I had not filed.PFC has been very helpful and none judgemental as I was embarrassed when I started this process. I am very greatful. Thank you PFC.
