This is the second claim I file for my pet with this company; the first time it took them about 30 days to process my claim and I was told it was because it was the first claim and they needed to get all my pet’s medical file from his vet and it would be much faster in the future. They advertise their claim turn around to be 4-5 days. This time, after waiting 9 days and noticing it was still in “received” status, I sent an email checking to see why it was being held up. I received a response 2 days later simply stating “their processing time varies depending on claim influx....right now your claim will take 35-60 days to process.” This is a joke coming from a company who’s platform is “you shouldn’t have to wait to be reimbursed for your pet’s expenses,” and who already told me it would be faster because they already have my pet’s records. I personally do NOT have money lying around to wait for reimbursements. That is why I chose to be insured in the first place. If the company has such an influx of claims that they cannot keep their own policy; then maybe they should not make it a policy, or they need to hire more claims processors.

We apologize for the delays in processing your claims. Claims are generally processed in the order they are submitted and we have been experiencing high claim volumes. Unfortunately, state insurance regulations do not permit refunds or credits for premiums while the policy is in force. However, if you do choose to cancel your policy, you may do so at any time. Please reach out to our Customer Care team with any questions.

I am rejecting this response because:

This “reply” does in no form address the original problem. Your company is making false advertisements and claims to consumers, including myself - statements that we are detrimentally relying on; that you will resolve claims within 4-5 days, and that customers shouldn’t have to wait a month to be reimbursed for their pet’s bills. Yet you are telling me I have to wait 30-65 days??!!! This is deceitful and unacceptable. What is me cancelling my policy like you suggested going to do in terms of getting my money reimbursed faster?? Nothing. It is not a resolution to my complaint because you are fixing nothing. For those of you reading this after it is published, save yourself the trouble and find another company that doesn’t have excuses and doesn’t take your money only for you to hear crickets when you need them to respond. Somehow 4-5 day processing times turned into 30-65 days...be forewarned.

Further, once transferred to a supervisor, you claimed you were advised by the previous representative we were not hiring staff, which caused these delays. A review of the call shows this is not what the first representative advised. You also asked to cancel your policy then reversed course. Per your policy, you may cancel within the first 30 days and obtain a full refund

They have since removed all neg reviews on their Facebook of individuals having the same issues with this service..
They lead customers to hang on with hopes claims will be processed according to their false advertising...
Vet bills are not cheap, I was also advised I submitted all necessary paperwork, it was just a wellness claim and wouldn't take as long..
I believe if there was to be a full audit of this company, one would find they don't pay out claims fast like they advertise, they wish for people to cancel after 30 days and be left stuck with outrageous bills only for those funds submitted to be taken by this company.

If I could select zero stars I would. All they are good at is collecting their payment on time every month, but when it comes to claims they always have an excuse for not reimbursing anything. They will use anything as an excuse to not reimburse you. Initially I thought that their excuses were valid but than I started to suspect that it was just a scam. Now I have confirmed my suspicion after reading all of the reviews on this site. I will be taking my business elsewhere because I don’t want to take any chances with my pup.

I have submitted claims dating back to December 16, 2019 for my pet, Misha. Misha is my diabetic cat. I have numerous bills for him every month in order to maintain his health in a good status. I have not received payment for 7 claims at this time. And, I am submitting more claims today for Misha and my other pet, Scrubs.
I have been a customer of Pets Best for approximately 10 years! I have NEVER had to wait this long for payment of claims. I use my personal funds to cover these medical costs and then expect my payment for reimbursement in a timely manner. This is NOT happening at this time. And from the looks of ALL the complaints here on Revdex.com, no one else is getting paid either.
My concern is that Pets Best is failing and possibly going out of business...this would leave all of us with non-payment of some very costly medical claims.
All I am getting is emails stating they are in process or if I have an online chat, I get the same response. It is now UNACCEPTABLE to take over a month to process claims. I want answers as I know everyone does.
I need payment of my claims IMMEDIDATELY. I also want to be informed if this company is in financial trouble and will not be able to pay future claims.
I currently have 3 pets (2 dogs, 1 cat) covered by Pets Best and I pay an annual total premium of $2,774.40. Yet, I cannot get my claims paid???

I have been a client of Pets Best Insurance company for 16 years. I have always paid my fee to them on time.
In the past year. after they were bought by the ***. Once a animal medical claim is submitted it is reviewed and had been paid 80% in a timely manner. In the past year. They have been paying in excess of 30 days. Tier 1 Customer service
( the ladies) seem to have their hands tied. I have 9 claims pending for my dog Camelot since Nov, He had a rare Kidney illness that is not pre-exitising. They claim they can not due anything to even expedite the oldest claim.I feel like I'm being help hostage. Even if I wanted to switch companies I can not. Please help me

I had opened a complaint and by accident put the wrong dates in. I have had pet insurance with this company for 17 years. They were taken over by Care ***. I have 9 outstand claims that are due to me pet Insurance that I pay into them everymonth on time. They use to pay on time. Tier 1 customer service the Ladies are very nice but their hand seems tied. New claims are running 40-50 days which is not acceptable if it is a matter of life or death with your pet Please reach out and let me know if you need each claim ## and amount

What you received was the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) relating only to the claim for the pre-existing undiagnosed neurological disorder (Myelopathy). The claim for Sky’s Gastrointestinal Condition was processed and finalized this morning and you will receive an EOB shortly regarding coverage and payment of $5,000 – the maximum annual limit under your policy. We apologize for any confusion during this process.

I’ve received an e mail from pet best ins, stating that they had process the one claim, BOTH” and they would be deposing the fund in my checking account within 5 to 7 business days.

submitted a claim to best best insurance. had to call several times and they would only pay $14.00 out of a claim of $6186.00
