We are sorry that the consumer is not satisfied with the
location of his/her Name Your Own Price hotel room accommodations at the [redacted] located at [redacted].
Upon review of this matter we have confirmed that [redacted] is
located in the shaded area of the mapping guidelines for the area labeled [redacted] [redacted].
Consumers who prefer to stay in a particular location or particular property
have the option to visit our Published Price service, and choose his/her
preferred hotel and location from a list of competitive prices across a wide
range of hotels.
We are sorry that we cannot change, cancel or refund the purchase. Our ability
to cancel, change or refund the reservation is governed by contractual
agreements with our travel partners, which state that the reservation selected
by the consumer is non-changeable and non-refundable.

Sorry for delay in reply but I have had a lot of personal idsues that have had me out of town and without access to internet. Not sure exactly why I have to provide the requested information because Priceline acknowledged responsibility in 2 personal emails one of which I waz asked about the particular customer service senior agent Jamaica whom I had my main issues with. But anyway I still haven't received any type of redund or reinburstment for the money charged from my [redacted] Prepaid Serve Card but was told Priceline actually went back in system and blocked refund from [redacted] on October 10, 2015 and recharged the disputed amount again causi g the whole refund process to be played oit that much longer. Now to my understanding there is a total of 4 or 5 Request Numbers all for the same date October 6, 2015 all of which was done in the early morning before noon. However at this time I only have 2 of them on hand however I am working on obtaining the others but the 2 I have on hand is:

listed on the ticket. The consumer is requesting a full refund for the ticket

documented case history confirms that [redacted] contacted priceline on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 at 3:28:36 PM ET, requesting to change the
name on the ticket from the caller’s name, [redacted], to the name of a friend. Upon
review of the consumer’s airline ticket purchase, the representative advised
the caller that the ticket is non-changeable and non-transferable.

choice. Consumers have the option to compare rates and select his/her specific
hotel, room rate, amenities, and location from a list of participating
properties or, save even more money by selecting our Express Deals or Name Your
Own Price ® hotel service where the consumer must agree to stay in
any participating hotel that fits the consumer’s star level and location (area)
choices. In this case the consumer selected our Name Your Own Price ®
hotel service for greater savings and agreed to the terms and conditions of the
purchase.

have researched to find that this hotel does meet our expectations for the star
rating selected on our website. Our competitors also rate this hotel as

they enjoyed their stay by sending us positive reviews about the overall

have room for 5 people and 4 bags. However, the make and model examples shown

I am rejecting this response because:
Yet again, Priceline has refused to address the basis for
my complaint. Instead they have misstated my complaint, set up a strawman, and
responded to their own strawman instead of the actual complaint. The complaint
is very simple: Priceline describes the [redacted] Place as being “downtown.”
I did not select “downtown” as one of my options. Priceline is obviously
capable of describing locations accurately because some locations, for example,
“[redacted]t – [redacted],” correspond between the hotel description
and the selection criteria, making it clear from Priceline’s description which
hotels from the list are within the search criteria. The fact that Priceline provides
a misleading description for certain hotels – including the [redacted] Place,
raises the specter that Priceline is intentionally misleading consumers, in
violation of numerous state consumer protection laws. At a minimum, it is
negligent misrepresentation.
Similarly, the fact that Priceline will not even acknowledge that it provides misleading descriptions
for certain hotels, but instead keeps trying to change the subject, indicates a
willful blindness to its unfair and deceptive business practices – or worse,
actual intent to deceive.
Priceline is solely responsible for the descriptions it attaches to the hotels it lists on its website. It provides those
descriptions so consumers read the descriptions and rely on them. The
descriptions serve no purpose but to inform consumers. Priceline cannot, having
induced reliance on the description, demand that consumers disregard the actual words that Priceline has placed
on its website, and accept a hotel placement that contradicts the actual words used to describe the
hotel.
I have requested that Priceline put me in contact with
their legal department so that I may speak with someone who is capable of
understanding the issue, or alternatively, to have someone from their legal
department contact my husband, who is a consumer protection attorney. Priceline
has not responded.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please also note that the usual practice of our hotel partners are to provide similar accommodations for the customer/s who are affected of their overbooking. We reviewed your reservation and verified that a standard room with 1 King Bed was selected during the request process. Since this was not available, the hotel provided a free upgrade for your reservation to a premiere room with 2 Double Beds. For this reason, we are unable to provide any compensation.

No confirmation e-mail was sent after my bid of $14 had been accepted, Instead, I was offered, in reality tricked, into taking on the Priceline.com [redacted] Bank card along with  $50 statement credit towards purchase of this car rental. Understand, prior to my unfortunate experience this complaint seeks to redress, I did not seek a new credit card. However, as a result of this, I now have a credit card, but no car rental reservation.

days to process. If the refund is approved, we will mail a check to the billing
address that you provided and it will take up to 2 to 3 weeks to receive the

room for your stay; however, the hotel can only provide it on your 2nd night.
With Priceline, you can choose from a number of options depending on your
needs. You can select a specific hotel from a list of participating properties
with our Published Price hotel option or, if you'd rather save even more, you
can choose a restricted reservation where you select the area and star level,
but the hotel's name is not revealed until after the purchase.
When you choose a restricted reservation, you agree to stay in any
participating hotel that matches your requested star level and area selections.
However, for this type of bookings, you do not have an option to select a
specific room type. As stated on your contract, "Requests for bed types
(King, Queen, 2 Doubles, etc.) or other special needs (including preferences
for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your confirmed
hotel and cannot be guaranteed." When you submitted the request for
booking, you indicated that you read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions
of the reservation. We are sorry; however, your reservation, due to the
restrictions stated on your contract, cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded.

displays the terms and conditions that you reviewed prior to purchasing your
reservation.

you the rate that priceline negotiated directly with them for this reservation.
The rate you saw is not available to the general public. We negotiate these
rates with our partners, which allows our customers to receive such significant
savings.
 
We discussed this issue with our hotel partner and they
authorized us to refund the difference in rate shown to you by their front desk
representative and what you paid us for this reservation. Your refund has been
processed. A refund for $12.46 was issued today, July 13, 2015.
The refund will be processed through our system within
one business day.

The lowest retail rate for the confirmed property at the time
of purchase was $138.60. We initially saved the consumer 12%, which is equal to
$138.60. Since we guaranteed 30% or more savings, we will issue a refund for an
additional $83.16, which will be equal to a total savings of 40%.

overlooked anything that might support a more favorable conclusion. Unfortunately,
there is nothing we can add to what has already been stated in our previous
correspondence.  The consumer states: “While price shopping for airline tickets online, I had entered my
credit card information on Priceline.com’s website in anticipation to
"name my own price". However, BEFORE SUBMITTING the transaction, I
switched to another window in order to check prices on one more website.”
Our documented case history confirms that the consumer selected a non–refundable
Name Your Own Price Reservation for greater savings, initialed the contract
page agreeing to the terms and conditions of the purchase, provided credit card
payment, and clicked BUY NOW. We are unable to assist the consumer any further in this situation.
