I would am very unhappy with my latest experience with Priceline.com. I booked a 2 day stay in a hotel in [redacted]. All the reviews of the hotel I choose [redacted] were excellent on the website. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Priceline.com in the past so I did not search for any alternative reviews. I told a friend of mine where I would be staying and they showed me reviews of [redacted]. There are pictures onine of black mold in the room and reports of electrical issues. I contacted the company and asked for a credit so I can select another place to stay as I would never put myself or my son around black mold. My request was denied and I was told there is nothing that can be done and I will lose my pull amount for the 2 days. I will not likely use Priceline.com again in the future.

Per the cancellation policy affiliated with this reservation:  For the room type you've selected, you can cancel your reservation for a full refund up until noon on Thursday, November 24th (local hotel time). If you decide to cancel your reservation anytime between noon on Thursday, November 24th and noon on Friday, November 25th (local hotel time), the hotel requires payment for the first night's stay. You will be charged for the first night's stay including taxes and fees. Any remaining amount will be refunded to you. Refunds or cancellations are not available after noon local hotel time on your day of arrival (Friday, November 25th). 
The customer contacted us after the cancel policy kicked in so this one night reservation remains non refundable.

According to the consumer, she selected a 4 star quality hotel; however, received accommodations at a 3 star property.
All properties offered through priceline.com have been evaluated according to the specific star level standards that we have developed exclusively for our program and described on our web site. While the consumer may feel that this property should have a different star rating or is rated differently by other groups, we are confident that our evaluation of this property meets all standards listed under Priceline’s 4 star hotel guide.

Toilet seat was Never Changed  (Please view all pictures)
[redacted]s from Corporate Priceline Executive Offices received this information and did not resolve.·         Guaranteed 2 star hotel.·         1 room - toilet seat had yellow ring on inside of toilet and chipped paint which works great in collecting feces and pee.  Toilet seats are $5 and was never replaced.  We stayed their 2 nights unacceptable.  Used the other rooms bathroom and [redacted] to use bathroom (Please view all pictures).·          1 room's bathroom was used for both rooms.  Other room was constantly bothered to use their bathroom.  Both rooms were suppose to have their own privacy.  ·         Both rooms missing: various towels, ice bucket liners and all Pillow cases (which showed us the stains on the pillow cases (stained).·         Based off of Priceline criteria:  Cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and décor were all Failed (details below).·         Rm [redacted] had a weird wet smell when we entered it, probably mold.·         Priceline  was informed on day1, day 2 and after the trip all by chat.  We got the missing items ourselves and Priceline never did resolve the toilet issue, which was a huge problem.
A full refund needs to be given.

Guest Satisfaction - We retrieved the towels, and liners on our own by going downstairs and the staff person seemed annoyed after the 2nd visit of us telling him of missing items, pillow cases, towels and bucket liners (Fail).
Décor - Bedroom 322 had a weird wet smell when we entered the room (probably mold) and in both rooms the pillow cases were missing so we saw the stains on the pillows gross, both rooms bucket liners missing, both room various towels missing and lets not forget the Nasty paint chipped pee ring toilet that has collected God only knows how many germs and feces in 1 of the rooms (Fail).  We were GUARANTEED a 2 star hotel.  Using the bathroom is an amenity that a 1 star would have.  Having to share your bathroom with another room is also a FAIL.  All of this was told to you through the various chats during and after the vacation.    Again, nothing done on your part (priceline).   We got the missing items ourselves by going downstairs and retrieving them. I spent a good amount of time on the chat trying to resolve issue on first day, 2nd day and after the trip, which neither the hotel nor priceline fixed.  Never switched us rooms or Changed the toilet seat.  Very unacceptable.  Again, 1 bathroom for 2 rooms and also trips to [redacted] to use restroom is ridiculous.  Pictures were taken.  Please view all pictures.  Would you sit there? 
During our Vacation I had to deal with this and even now.  Still dealing with this.  I've used priceline before and have never been as disappointed as I am now.  Very disappointed.   Please help resolve.

I am rejecting this response because: this issue is regarding trickery used to pursuade people to open a credit card account with the belief that a purchase is being made. The credit card account would not have been opened had the website not been designed in a way to mislead customers. It is not typical for there to be a button which reads "buy now", nor for customers to enter credit card information unless a purchase is actually being made. I would not have opened a credit card account nor entered any other credit information without being certain that I was making a purchase. As such deceptive practices are being used by priceline.com, it should honor the agreed upon purchase price.

any participating hotel that fits the consumer’s star level and location (area)
choices.
 
When selecting a reservation, the consumer is provided with
the cancel policy associated with each reservation prior to purchase.
 
In this case the consumer selected a reservation that
provided greater savings and less flexibility.

I am rejecting this response because: when I called back a minute later price line ask me 400 dollar one time fee for cancellation if cannot be canceled how come with 420  dollar , it become miraculously available 
2 I clearly mark nonstop  because of your terms and condition says it can be one stop , it doesn't mean you have a right to sell me a ticket with one stop , it is against my will and desire.
3 I called price line after I dispute with credit card , your custome rep ( I guess some where in  China or Korea )give me cancellation number and apologize for inconveneince  number she gave me is 927 489 999 829 612 131 939 78826. She also said credit will take 7 to 10 business day . 
4 I called Kim and they told me Priceline already cancelled ticket and she indicate anytime  dispute involve with purchase, Priceline  cancel ticket . So  then due to cus rep told me it will be credit and Kim told me that already ccanceled I purchase  nonstop ticket and fly with that ticket
  Basically you canceled ticket I got no service and still you want to charge . This is not fair business practice , I am trying to solve this issue without going ct court and start sueing  price line  I see many complaint for similar issue . I hope you can understand situation and please be aware of that I am holding my self to not go court to solve this issue ugly way. As a teacher I am trying to solve issue with educated way . Thanks for your help and I hope it will be positive outcome .
