Spoke with Timothy who offered me the service at 27.99 once I told Timothy I spoke with ADT and was offered “such and such at this price” he immediately told me if I already spoke with corporate they can’t help me and that my address will be red in the system.. the same system that he told me he see it’s a new home and told me all the information needed. I called him out on it and he immediately hung up the line.. I then spoke with Jessie who told me they have A plus ratings on Revdex.com which is also a lie, I told them I will let all social media platforms including Revdex.com about my conversation AND crappy service. You may receive this advertisement in your advo with the USPS but I would disregard! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

It's unfathomable that Defenders won't listen to it's employees. Technicians have the best feedback from customers, but Corporate doesn't care. How hard is it to tell customers they HAVE to pay $299 for cameras? How hard is it to tell customers Defenders doesn't carry the Command Panel? How hard is it to tell customers that $27.99 only applies to land line phones? How hard is it to tell customers that there is no Camera package for any less than $58.99? How hard is it to tell customers that they will almost always have to pay for additional equipment? Why do you not care?
Why are technicians docked if customers don't show up? Why are technicians also sales reps? Why are lying and unethical practices not only tolerated, but encouraged and praised?
You are a disgrace of a company! You claim to be about protection of families, but defrauding customers and forcing employees to abandon ethics in order to succeed leaves nobody protected.

They sent me an unsolicited letter via snail mail with the text:
"Attn: New Homeowners
Call now and get a $100 Visa© Gift Card from Protect Your Home
Call: 844.298.8720"
There's no asterisk, no mention of purchasing any product or service.
I called and asked for my free $100 visa gift card, but the lady I spoke with would not send the gift card to me.
I feel like I was lied to and deceived.

Good sales customer service. I thought everything was going good. Larry the technician came to my house and installed my security system. Larry gave me $800.00 off of my equipment do to a sales promotion at the time. I told larry I wanted my bill around $40 a month and I also told him that if I have any extra cost I would like to pay them at the point of purchase. Larry agreed I can get this done for me. He told me my bill will be $38 and a one time fee of about $370.00. A month later I got a bill for three more payments of about $350 or so and my monthly bill was is $50 a month.. Larry is a vary miss leading sales guy for protect your home/ADT. I will admit I should have read the entire contract and I definitely should not have taken his word for it... I also had no problem with paying all my equipment up front like I stated before and he assured me that I will only pay the one time fee of about $370 and then my monthly service fee.

Larry also did not wear a mask inside my house.

This was broken into four payments, which Mr. chose to pay in two installments. Normally, this is permissible within the first thirty days, as a courtesy I will extend the offer through August 13th, 2020. Regards, I would accept a refund of the additional installments that I did not know I was agreeing to in the amount of $1,132.05 and also to have my monthly service fee lowerd to what I thought I was agreeing to of $38.00 a month. The other option I would accept is full termination of the contract.

I tried to cancel my account. I sent a fax with a cancellation letter on July 9th, as instructed. My account is supposedly cancelled with ADT, but not with ADT protect your home and I was still billed for this month. I have literally spent hours on the phone trying to cancel this account. I am not exaggerating. I am put on hold constantly only to have the phone picked up by a completely new customer service representative. It's crazy and I've never experienced anything like it.

corporation that specializes in selling residential alarm systems. We have been
an ADT authorized dealer since 1998 that sells and installs ADT monitored
security systems. Once the security system is installed, the contract is then
typically purchased, billed, serviced and maintained by ADT.In
summary, Mr. account is in canceled status, but his bank account
was charged by us after the date of cancellation. I spoke with our billing department, and they
stated the customer was taken over by ADT corporate on 07/24/20. I sent out a request to ADT Billing to
request a refund for any monthly charges that were taken after 07/06/20, and to
make sure the customer's account is fully canceled through both ADT and
Defenders. Our billing department stated
that they were issuing back a refund for the charge taken on 07/01/20. The customer's account should be fully
canceled at this point and his refunds should be in progress.Should

I requested a quote on a home security system. After speaking with three reps within 24 hours I ordered the service because I was told that the cameras were wireless and no holes would have to be made on my walls. The system was supposed to be "absolutely free" with a three-year monitoring contract that ranged from $29.99-59.99. When the tech came to my home the fee went from free to over $2500+. This company misrepresents the truth. This is a complete bait and switch company. This morning I called to cancel and I have been given the run-around. I have been hung up on, reps sound as they are asleep, I've been given the wrong fax numerb and told that the cancellation can not be emailed or done over the telpehon that I would have to mail the cancellation request. On April 16, 2020, I contracted for Defenders to install an alarm system consisting of a doorbell camera, 2 outdoor cameras, 4 glass break detectors, an outside alarm along with the security panel and key remotes. The tech evaluated our internet speed and also checked our doorbell to make sure it was capable of handling a doorbell camera. After his assessment he proceeded to install the system. At the time of installation the tech could not provide the 2 outdoor cameras and provided 2 indoor cameras to use until the outdoor cameras were available, which he estimated would be a couple weeks. Immediately we started having problems with the system. The first night the doorbell started ringing on it's own. We called for service and was told a tech would be out in a couple days and we should remove the doorbell in the meantime. The tech came out and told us we did not have enough power to operate the doorbell and we needed to have work done on our wiring. We had an electrician rewired the doorbell and still had problems with it not charging. Finally I insisted they bring a new doorbell and that seems to have solved that problem but in the meantime, we still had not received our outdoor cameras. To compound the problem we were told our internet speed was not sufficient to run 3 cameras. We had our internet provider increase out speed to 1000 megabits per second and still we have problems with the cameras feeding us information in a timely fashion. We have had technicians come out on numerous occasions to have the camera problem resolved and for them to provide the outdoor cameras. Finally a tech came and provided another outdoor camera sometime in May. Despite numerous attempt, too many to count, we still have not received our third camera. Every time a technician comes out they ask what can they help us with, we tell them we want our outdoor camera. Despite the fact we requested the camera when we called for service the tech does not bring one. On Thursday, July 23, the tech that came said since we ordered our system the equipment has been upgraded and he only had new cameras that would not work with the system we have. This has been a total waste of my time scheduling useless appointments in 4 hour time slots. I also think this is fraud as Defenders has not provided what we contracted for.

This company practices classic bait and switch with its promise of a $100.00 visa gift card if you get the security system from them and have ADT monitor. They do not make clear that they are not actually ADT. Well now I believe ADT may have bought them out but ADT cannot or will not accept any responsibility for the promise of the $100, ADT will not even talk about it. They transfer you to Defenders who then says you should get the rebate certificate from some company named Elite. But from what I can tell, Defenders has to submit your name or something to Elite and that is not happening. The problem is when they are selling the product or getting the install appointment, the $100 is the main point of the conversation and referenced over and over again. After you agree to three years of service and sign the contract, the $100 becomes obsolete. It is never mentioned again unless you mention it.
One more question...How can the Revdex.com give them an A+ rating, but they get less than two stars on the customer reviews. I see your statement that the Revdex.com ratings do not consider customer reviews, but you should. I told myself that I should have checked with the Revdex.com before I signed. But that would not have helped in the least because the Revdex.com scored them A+ and I am clearly not the only one who was tricked by this company. It's all just a sham.

I have contacted Defenders on 3 separate occasions. I didn't go through with my purchase after paying $106.92 for the appt. I was told if I didn't order product, I would receive a refund. I spoke to Blake, a Regional Mgr., and after 20 minutes on hold he came back and said it was taken care of. I waited a week and called back and they couldn't find where he did anything. The customer service contact stated it would have to be sent up to billing and processed. I waited another week and called again today and spoke with Rosheeda. She explained that it was never assigned, which is what they should have done. So once again, I am told to wait another 7-10 days.

While I appreciate your efforts in this regard and ADT'S offer, I would prefer that the entire system be removed. I do not feel comfortable doing business with this company for the safety of our home and ourselves.

We never got any copy of the contract we signed or a copy of an itemized list of the items installed.

I would like a total refund of all the charges against the Discover card.

Calls to the salesman were not returned. Finally in July my wife was able to get copies of the contract and list of items after complaining about all the charges on her Discover card.

We attempted to move our alarm service to a new address about three months ago. Protect Your Home (Defenders) has spent over 10 hours in our home and we have spent over 15 waiting on them. Our system is still not installed correctly. We’ve spent countless hours talking to well over 20 different people trying to resolve the issue. We’ve had rude customer service, inept technicians and experienced the worst communications within a company we’ve ever seen. We have no confidence in Defenders, Protect Your Home nor ADT. And the fraudulent installation charge and subsequent monthly bills are an indication that this company has no concern for business ethics. We just won’t to cut ties with this business and be reimburse for the funds the have taken so far.

CONSUMER BEWARE.. STAY AWAY!!
Horrible Customer Service and Inconsistent communication!
First, they are a third party company for ADT which is not clear when you sign up. So deceptive!
Secondly, we decided less than 3 days no longer wanted system because lack of certain features and scheduled for system to be removed. I properly notified both ADT and Defenders of cancellation. However, when technician came out he did not have an order to remove system but a previous service request which was cancelled days ago.
I could not get the system removed when scheduled and went through more frustrations to get Defenders to come out and remove system.
This was the worst decision to install this system and I will never use ADT again!

This company won't stop spamming me for ADT services. I have unsubscribed numerous times, blocked the email addresses on gmail, reported it as spam and they KEEP coming up with new and FAKE email addresses that are not real domains. It is not detected as spam by gmail which just shows that they are doing bad business practices. They should be shut down. This is unacceptable. I called the phone number in their email which connected me to the ADT corporate offices who confirm that this is an authorized retailer but would not be able to ensure that these emails stopped. Emails I NEVER even signed up for. I had never even heard of this company before they started spamming me every day. The frequency of the emails are only increasing. I've already received TWO today alone. Please investigate this company and shut them DOWN!!! They are a menace to society and a waste of my time.

I canceled services with ADT/defenders/protect your home on October 22, 2018. I was told that this account would be canceled. I had not received any correspondence stating that the account was not cancelled. Now July 15, 2020, I received a phone call from a collection agency stating that my account was not canceled and I did not cancel it in the correct amount of time. I contacted ADT/defenders/protect your home today 7/15/2020 and was told that I did cancel it in time but I have to deal with the collection agency because they purchased this account. I originally cancelled because I felt that the company and representatives were not honest and was operating a scam and even today I feel the same way. I need help to resolve this issue.

As the equipment remained in the home, ADT continued to provide monitoring services. Ms. retained our equipment valued at $1868, which was provided to her at no cost upon agreement to a 3-year contract. She also continued to receive monitoring services valued at over $400 for which she paid nothing, until disconnected for non-payment July 2019. A year later, Ms. has filed this Revdex.com Complaint. As a courtesy, we will honor the request to remove from third party collections, and release from the contract. As Ms. has had our equipment for nearly two years, we will not seek a removal but will not refund the $99 installation fee she originally paid us. I regret that she believes we were somehow dishonest, and hope she remains safe and healthy. ADT did contact me Thursday impersonating Revdex.com rill I called her out her mail fraud packet consists of she wants copy of my drivers license with signature and write signature ten times if she has a contract with my signature why doesn’t she produce it to you I’m not comfortable sending my signature so they can copy it I guess I need to get lawyer involved gemmtlrmsn at my house installing agreed they lie to get commission and they told me equipment 109 when it was actually 1500 and he told me cancel in six months and full money back guarantee I canceled after one month they refuse to come get system even though it’s not activated please help *** or I’ll b forced to hire a lawyer

Contacted ADT in response to a mailer and that existing ADT equipment was in our newly purchased home. The install person Edsel that arrived told us that all the existing equipment (all door sensors/control panel/camera/siren/etc.) would not be able to be activated and that new equipment was necessary. He then evaluated our wifi and said that he would recommend the new Command system with door bell camera /etc. He spent several hours in our home. We immediately had issues with the system - called on Day 5 to cancel and found out that Protect Your Home and not ADT was who held our "contract." We continued to experience many systems issues, called technical support many times - arranged for a tech to come out to fix the system and downgrade to remove automation. When the tech arrived - he removed the non functioning camera - offered to refund the cost of the camera but would not remove the lock or other automation items. He suggested we call to cancel our system because our wifi would not support it.

When I called ADT and Protect your home (Front Royal - Kyler) he refused to allow us to cancel and demanded that we pay a large fee (he said over $1000) to cancel our contract. Protect Your Home never provided us a copy of the contract.

System continues to have technical issues. Called tech support to bypass sensor so we could arm - same false alarm occurred for multiple days. Tech was here on Friday - new issues occurred on Sunday. Have been on the phone for several hours trying to get this resolved. We believe the salesman Edsel misrepresented the capabilities and we therefore entered a contract under false pretense. Given the true abilities of the system - we would not have purchased it and would like to cancel. We have already paid alot of the equipment when installed and need to cancel the monthly monitoring ASAP.

When I had this system installed I was told I could cancel anytime in the 1st 6 months. The installer give me this information Rodalfo A this was 9/4/2018. So I sent the cancellation letter on 9/19/2018. Thinking I had six months as I was told. They just kept billing my CC. So as of today I received a e-mail asking if I forgot to make my payment. I didn’t check my CC bill thought they had canceled as I was told. I gave adt a call of course they can’t find the canc lettered. Also they adt told me I had to pay over 400 and some dollars before they could cancel. I think they should send my money back at least part of it and Cancel this, never one time was this system activated. They told me there was only 3 days that I could cancel. Please can you help? I didn’t realize how much money they were taking out of my Credit Card.

We have no record of any request to cancel within the 3-day rescission period. The six-month money back guarantee is in specific regard to systems with unresolvable service issues, this is not the case for Ms.. The only service issue she reported was August 8, 2019 when the cell towers in her area had an outage. To cancel at this time, Ms. will be held to the terms of her signed contractual agreement and will owe the remaining balance of her contract. I seriously think they misrepresented their service. They said you will get a Visa for having you equipment installed, but instead that is for installation. Still had to pay something to get service started. Been 2 years in September and not one time did I use the system other than to call and ask how to turn the peeping off coming from the system.

I seriously think they take advantage of us older folks. Which I am 70. So I have friends who ask about the ADT sign in my yard. I can tell them they will pay a lot for this system. Sad

We offer a motion detector, two door or window sensors, a key chain remote, and the key pad for the $99 installation fee. Ms. actually received the full value of the free equipment, plus an additional credit that reduced her out of pocket cost to $190.46. To put that in perspective, the cost for just one of the sensors on her window is $169 plus tax. I regret that nearly two years later, Ms. is displeased with her purchase. Protect Your Home issued a contract to *** March 6,2020. My husband and I were told that we would have an ADT system installed with an "$800. equipment credit which would cover most or all of the cost, then with a recurring $27. per month system charge." A manager Robert T who had what appeared to be gang tattoos came to our home. We are senior citizens and he strongarmed us into signing a contract for $3316.07 equipment charges with 4 payments of $829.18 and a monthly charge of $55.94 per month. We also were charged a $105,54 installation charge. We were quite upset about this and protested to Mr. T that this was a "bait n switch." He said there was nothing he could do about it, that we had to sign and could contest the issues later. On March 8, 2020 within the 3 day cancellation perio, I filed a notice of cancellation. I received a call several weeks later from an account manager named Chris in Indianapolis who agreed that the cancellation was filed properly. He then sent out a tech Ralph F from Protect Your Home, to remove the equipment. Mr. F said Protect Your Home would meet us halfway and issue a new contract for $1619.64. He was polite and even though we felt that this was a bit unsavory, ADT is a reputable company so we agreed to the new contract for $1619.64 dated March 25. 2020. There was a 6 month money back guarantee if we were dissatisfied as we were told plus a $100 Visa card. My husband paid in full on April 6 and April 22 both the $105.54 installation charge and the $1619.64 equipment charge documented on my husbands AMEX and we thought everything was fine except for the recurring monthly charge to monitor the system. We have been harassed every day by Protect Your Home both with robots phone calls and emails from "Funding Resolutions" to resign the contract that was mutually agreed for the cancelledcontractualamount of $3316.07. Plus Protect Your Home went into my husbands AMEX account and billed his card $658. without my husbands permission or knowledge. We sent documentation of the cancellation on three separate occasions to Leona W of ADT, Emmanuel W of ADT, spoke with Preya of ADT, Batch *** who noted that we had paid in full. Yet the strong-arming to have me sign a new contract making me liable for the cancelled amount and robo calls continue. Finally on 6/25/20 we spoke withNatasha then Kyla of ADT and were promised a Manager, Al or T from Protect Your Home would straighten this out and all would be good. They never called. We have not used the service since April due to these problems and have respectfully in writing asked for the 6 month money back guarantee to be honored given the harassment and intimidation and possible fraudulent access to my husband's account that took place. We have received no response nor have we received any response to our numerous emails. Please note that I have all of the documentation. Protect Your Home should return our payment in full as promised and never harass or intimidate us again.

I was recently shopping for a new security system due to *** CEO insensitive and racial comments. I came across ADT and decided to reach out to them. During my initial call I informed them my husband was a disabled Veteran and the reason for the switch. They were adamant to get my service and offered a $100 gift card as well as several hundred dollars in discounts. I was told that a rep would be out to my house on June 19th. One June 19th Tevin P license #R*** (security advisor) showed up we explained to him the reason for the switch and he agreed to take care of us as if we were family. He played on my emotions and lied to me. He went over what it would take to secure my home and even offered a 2nd panel (mini panel) to go on the 2nd floor. He quoted me a price and I advised him I was interested however I wouldn’t be able to pay at the moment because with my husband being out of work currently due to Covid and him being a disabled vet we were on a restricted budget. He advised because ADT was such a large business they could by us out of the CPI contract. He asked how much we owed I told him $450. He said he would call his man***r for approval. We also asked if it would be possible to extend the payment that would be due that day to the 1st since that’s when my husband is paid. While my husband and I sat there he proceeds to call his man***r with the phone on speaker. He explains to his “man***r” the situation his man***r says he’ll need to reach out to his higher up and give us a call back. Within minutes he calls back to inform Tevin P that he was able to get approval to buy us out of the contract and my account would be credited within days the $450 but he was unable to get the payment that would be due that day extended. We proceeded with the order. He installed all the equipment and left my house. As he pulls away my husband remembered we didn’t get the 2nd panel. I call him and he suggests he doesn’t have any on his truck but when they are back in stock he would come back to install. A few days pass and I call him and leave a message as well as a an email. No answer. I call ADT and ask to speak with a manager only to be told this is something they don’t offer their customers. He lied to my face and played on my emotions. I have been going back and forth with ADT Defenders and no one is able to help. The manager Jessica that I was working with advised she reached out to him several times and no answer today she reached out and he told her he did not offer to buy out my contract and he has no knowledge of a 2nd panel. This is a lie! He definitely offered to call his manager to see “what could be done to help”. According to Jessica the 2nd panel was in my contract, so it was owed to me. For him to have no knowledge of a 2nd panel that is also a lie clearly. Jessica advises they are paid by commission and this explains why he would falsely advertise and promise things that he could not deliver. She also mentioned she see this from the technicians a lot. Where they promise things that are against their policy. I couldn’t understand if this happens so often why isn’t anything done about it? I have yet to receive my $100 gift card, the $450 to buy out my CPI contact as well as my 2nd panel. At this point because of my horrible experience and now the lack of trust that I have for the company I just want out of my contract. My contract is less than 3 weeks and I was lied to and given false information. I am currently disputing all charges (over $500 in charges) with my credit card company. I would like to get out of this contract with no fees since they did not hold up their end of the deal. I didn’t receive anything that was promised. Please help.

I am unhappy with the response from Defenders because they will not acknowledge I was lied to and taken advantage of. Tevin promised me that my CPI contract would be brought out by his company. Are we going to act as if this didn’t happen? Along with being brought out of my contract we were to receive the panel and gift card. I feel as though because those things haven’t been received the company went against the contract. I was also told by Jessica this happens a lot. I’m not the first one to be lied to. How do you run a business on the basis of lying to customers? I paid all fees and held up my end of the bargain until I realized it was a scam. All I want is to be released from this contract and you can have all equipment back. I have called several times to be placed on hold and no one comes back to the line, to be told I would receive a call back and to be told my call has been escalated. All of this has been a lie! The Cusomter service has been absolutely horrible.

This is the first time I am writing a review for anything. Worst customer service ever! Installation wasn't done correctly on 6/16/20. Rescheduled to correct installation within 2 days, 6/18/20 but tech never show up or call. I called in to reschedule again for 6/20/20 and customer service told me not to worry about the 3 days cancellation since installation wasn't done right the first time. After a 3rd failed installation schedule with no show, I decided it's time to cancel. But nope, I can't since it's more than 3 days period.
