DO NOT USE OR TRUST! We had Protect your home install it new ADT system in mid August. Initial installation took more than 10 hours. Less than 2 hours later, the system malfunctioned. It took a week to schedule them to get them out to repair it. I waited from 11am till 8pm with no tech ever arriving. Their excuse was that the tech wrecked on the way to my house because I was rushing him. They finally repaired it the following day, and again, it lasted two hours before it malfunctioned again. Between mid August until now, my "new" system has worked properly for less than 10 days. Each time I call for service, they are at least 5 hours late if they bother showing up at all. I've now been waiting for more than 10 days for management to contact me. Of course, we've not heard from them

This company has the rudest customer service on the planet. They'll get into a hollering match with you, and also, hang up on you. When you call ADT for a quote... you think that you are talking to a ADT Representative, but no, they switch your call to DEFENDERS... a ADT authorized dealer. Your account is with Defenders for three months then it switches over to ADT. You'll be sorry. All the reviews are on point and accurate regarding (ADT / Defenders). The installer/ technician will forge your signature to the agreement, too (he did mine). Please do not ever seek out this company (ADT or Defenders) for security service. They do not even rate ( 1 ) star.

This has to be the worst business I've ever encountered.

I received a flyer in the mail after buying a new home. As we were looking into getting a security system for our home, I called to get more details on 10/29/2019. The initial sales rep I spoke to (didn't think to take the name or write the employee ID down) was very informative and not pushy at all. Once I made it clear I needed to speak to my boyfriend before deciding on service, he said he would check if they could offer me any additional discounts as incentive. I was placed on a brief hold and his "manager" came on the line (once again I don't recall her name). Everything started out okay but quickly I could see her intent was to secure a sale before I could hang up and possibly not call them back. She was pushing checking if I "qualify" for services and a number of times I tried to decline this. After she assured me that the credit check they run was NOT a hard inquiry, I gave her the last 4 of my social. She confirmed that I qualified for services and then quickly asked me for a credit card to put on file to confirm I had funds available for the install fee. I had to tell her several times that I still needed to discuss this with my boyfriend before making a final decision. She kept pushing me and asking "what is the reason you don't want to put a card on file? It's just so we can provide you a reference number for this call and you won't have to go through this whole process again." I was firm and told her over and over I was NOT going to give her my card info and I even told her multiple times I felt her customer service was very pushy. I also told her that if they cannot save this call in their system then I most likely would not be calling back. If I'm being honest, before I spoke with the "manager" I was leaning towards signing up for services. I don't respond well to pushy sales tactics and she was not picking up on my frustrations. After I ended the call, I saw an email alert that I had a recent credit inquiry. I pulled up my account and saw that Defenders Inc. ran a HARD INQUIRY on my credit. If you listen to the recorded call you can hear me ask a number of times if it would be a hard inquiry. I believe her explanation was misleading and she even went as far to say "lots of people who are closing on a house sign up and it doesn't affect anything for them." I want this inquiry removed due to misleading sales tactics. I was also not aware I was not speaking to ADT directly until I saw my credit report.

This company is a fraud. They print their invoice on ADT Letterhead. If you call that number listed on the invoice, your balance will always be zero because you do not really have an ADT account. Then, they will throw you In collections —WHILE cashing your check!! You can’t pay after hours on weekends either!! DO NOT USE DEFENDERS THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!!

I requested a quote for ADT home security online. I received a call from what I believed was ADT to latter find out it was Defenders. They identified as ADT premier provider. I found out that ADT "may" buy the contract from Defenders after 90 days. The only part ADT plays is monitoring. Equipment comes from and installed by Defenders.

Recently, Defenders installed an ADT system in our home. The ADT system and the installation were good. To get me to sign up for the system, Defenders offered two $100 Visa gift cards. After the system was installed, I discovered that the gift cards come from a company called Mpell and you have to send $4.95 by money order for the S & H of each card. I have never had to pay to get a promotion like this in past. This practice is consistent with their sales pitch over the phone as I repeatedly told them I don't have a landline and they kept telling me the cost was as low as $28 per month for monitoring. With no land line, the cost is $48 per month. This company uses very deceptive business practices to sign you up, beware!

ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS! Got a flier in the mail that says "ADT" everything that did was to operate AS ADT. At no point was I told the name Defender. I was promised multiple cameras and other equipment that I never received. Now they want $299 for another instillation fee to give me what was promised to me. When I called ADT directly they said their is nothing they can since I signed up directly with Defenders. Now how does that make any sense... I would stay far away from this company directly and not deal with ADT on any level since they think it's okay to partner with a company like this and have no control or recourse over how they operate.

They have No service on Sundays! They are closed w no way to reach anyone. Alarm keeps going off and ADT can do nothing because we need a tec from defenders!!!! Also was told 24 months they say 36 but all the saved emails and signed contract they gave us has no mention of 24 or 36 months! They scam you

The worst company ever! The guy who came to install the alarm put his foot through the garage ceiling. We're still waiting for them to pay! Terrible service, terrible installers, terrible EVERYTHING! STAY AWAY!!!

PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.*** I reached out to this establishment on October 8th to advise them that I no longer wanted the services. A representative advised me that they would email me paperwork so I can sign and fax back to start the cancellation process. When I never received the paperwork and I called to follow up with the company and was informed I was no longer able to cancel my policy without a cancellation fee by a new representative. Also, your representative told me that my cut off time was at noon to cancel my service, but I had reached out to your office the day prior to get everything rectified. I was informed that I had to pay 75% of my plan. Which is absolutely outrageous! This has been by far the worst experience I've ever been through. The worst managers and customer service. I am currently fighting to get out of a legally binding contract that is not even signed by me. Its crazy how unprofessional this company is. Instead of trying to help the customer they just frustrate you even more. I plan on speaking to corporate to make sure that my frustrations are heard as well as reaching out via social media. As if becoming a new homeowner isn’t a headache within itself your company has gone the extra mile to add the icing to the cake. IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS I WOULD.

I wish I had checked them out before using them. I contracted with ADT &
they called & said they were the installer. They have charged me the wrong
price & also made a mistake in giving my back acct. # to have my acct.
drafted each mo. When I call ADT, they say Defenders hasn't sent in their
paper work to them & it's been 3 months!
Do NOT use these people! They do not do what they tell you & hate to
say it but they seem crooked! No wonder they have so many complaints!
Horrible, horrible service! It's Sat. have been trying to get in touch with
them on the phone. Have sat on hold forever.

Didn't think it was possible to find a company that had less customer service than this company. I was wrong. Three people came out to sell me the system that has not worked since day one. I have been stood up twice for service appointments and cannot get a manager to call me back. The man that installed the initial setup gave me his cell phone in case there was a problem, called the next day...he no longer worked for the company. The two service technicians that did show up didn't have a month employment between them. Asked immediately to be released from the contract and that is not possible as is getting service from this company. They are part of ADT, my advice DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EITHER!!! How do they still have an A+ rating with Revdex.com??????

I feel for the defender security system in their advertisement of 2499 a month for service
When they came out and installed it they left me with a key fob for my keychain and of course I was stupid enough to give them my checking account number to automatically withdraw the 2499 a month but they also deducted $163 for the key fob which I returned a week later and that was a year ago in October and they still haven't give me my money back
They also charge me 5199 a month and not 2499 a month and I've called three times about that so when this contract is up I'll be dropping them and I won't be using ADT or Brinks or defender I'll be going with simply safe
Do not fall for their bs
And do not give them your checking account number as they will make with drawls and you'll never see your money again
These are the worst companies I've ever done business with and stay away from them

Worst experience I've had in my 85 years!! Wish I could get out omy contract. Customer service is a joke. Had 3 hang-ups today. No one has any idea what is going on. Billing records are a muddle even though I have sent copies of bank statements they keep insisting I am a month behind in payments. This company is a disgrace!!

They are misleading and once you sign the contract, they are impossible to reach. They will not call you back no matter how many complaints you put in through ADT. What is worse is after going through all the headaches with this company, then I read the reviews. ADT has to be aware that this company gets awful reviews but I guess as long as they bring in the contracts it doesn't matter to them.

Please do not use this sg company. Where do I start. My wife called ADT to get a quote on the alarm system. Did not know but the call gets rerouted to defender. They answered the phone as they are an ADT corporate employee. They offered for 27.99 my house would be fully protected with 3 cameras plus door sensors. They asked if a person could come by to talk to us about the security system. The guy shows up with a bunch of equipment in his hand. At first I thought it was just to show us the different types of equipment. But then I noticed he had a bag full of tool and a drill. He said I had $1600 in credits toward the purchase of equipment. After selecting all the equipment that I would need. He said I would have to come out of pocket $759. That was not what was promised over the phone. Then he tells me that the 27.99 monthly fee is for door and window sensors only and that I would need to upgrade to ADT pulse for 58.99 month. So not only was everything I needed not included but the monthly fee was also a lie. They force you to get more than what you need. So they offered me two $100 gift cards to try to convince me to close the deal. I agreed to the 58.99 a month fee and had him install it. I went to claim my gift cards and come to find out that I have to pay $5 for shipping and handling for each card so I can get my now 95.00 gift cards. So after a week of service and starting to uncover their poor business practice. I decided to cancel service. Can’t do that now since the technician never disclosed I had only 3 days from the install date to cancel. So now I’m responsible for 75% of the 3yr contract cost. Around 2k to for cancellation. Please read do research before getting alarm system. I would probably have gone with RING for $10 a month and no contract.

I keep getting unsolicited mail advertisements from this company. When I called to polity request that I be removed from their mailing list I received nothing but rude comments from the sales person that answered the phone. After giving me a hard time for calling to begin with and trying to make a sale something I told him I was not interested in he finally agreed to remove me from the mailing list. However I am still receiving the spam letters so do not believe he did what he promised! Will never give this company my business, not now or in the future.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
This is a BAIT and SWITCH operation.
Defenders INC employees will upcharge you once in your home for
Installation. My package was upcharged to $3943.00 , plus $58.04 for monthly service and a 3 year contract.
You have 72 hrs to cancel.
Good luck getting them to refund your money.
This company is a scam.

The security system was installed on 9/14/19. The system failed on 9/15/19. The back door sensor is not working. I called on 9/15/19 and spoke to an agent who told me someone would come out today, 9/16/19. She advised me to call this morning to schedule an appointment because the schedule wasn’t open on Sunday. When I called today, I got the run around. I was transferred several times to different departments. After being on the phone for hours of going back and forth, I became frustrated and decided to cancel. This process proved to be even worse than trying to schedule service. The agent named Kesha was very unprofessional and actually refused to transfer me to a manager and eventually hung up on me. I finally reached someone who said in order to cancel, we have to fax over paperwork. This experience has been awful. If I could give zero stars I would.
