I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint...

ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I am gladly accepting a full refund as promised by Envision.  I appreciate their cooperation and the efforts made by the Revdex.com to resolve my complaint.

From: [redacted] <[redacted]>Date: Sun, Aug 16, 2015 at 6:17 PMSubject: Re: [redacted]/Complaint Attn [redacted]To: [email protected] [redacted], I received a complete refund from Envision. I want you to know that this would not have been possible if the Revdex.com and not been involved. I had called several times and had been advised that this would not be refunded, and all payment made would be forfeit. I believed that I followed the process and had to engage Revdex.com as part of that process. I would like to applause your diligence in this manner. I had promised my daughter at the outset of this experience that we would be able to learn something from it. We definitely did ! Thanks again [redacted]

We are sorry to hear you feel this way and have refunded your tuition in full.

Dear [redacted],Thank you for your response.  Unfortunately, we still cannot offer a refund at this point.  I have attached the information that was included in the mail package that was sent regarding the ISLP program, where it states that air fare to and from the program is not included in the cost of tuition.  The tuition that was already submitted for [redacted] was used to pay for the travel expenses while in Australia.  The companies we hire to accommodate travel and housing required payment and we expected [redacted] to be in attendence.  Our cancellation policy is set so that we can confirm attendance and pay our vendors in advance. The offer to transfer is still on the table, but we cannot offer a refund for a cancellation that occurred less than a week prior to the start of the program. Carl M[redacted]

[redacted],Per your request, you will find the nomination certificate provided to us from [redacted]'s school, nominating her for the program. Please feel free to let me know if you require any additional assistance.Carl M[redacted]Director of Enrollment

[redacted],I am sorry to hear of the issues that you have endured while attempting to attend the ISLP program.I would like to address 2 issues you have brought to our attention: 1. scholarship response and 2. refund requestRegarding the scholarship, our process is to respond within 2 weeks of the deadline...

date, not the application submitted date.  I do apologize for any confusion.  Your scholarship application deadline date was March 11, 2016 and you were notified on March 25, 2016 regarding your scholarship award.  We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to award you a scholarship to attend the program.Regarding the refund.  I was sorry to hear that the visa process took longer than expected and the results were no specific.  While we cannot offer you a refund of the tuition, I would like to offer you the opportunity to transfer your tuition paid this to next year's program.  We have a $50 transfer that I will be willing to waive if you choose to accept the transfer to the ISLP program in 2017.While we do not have dates currently available for next year, we would contact you as soon as they become available.  Typically, we accept enrollments into the ISLP program in October.  We would contact you to enroll you into a session of your choosing as soon as they are available. Please feel free to respond to this case directly regarding the transfer, or you may contact me directly at the phone number below.I look forward to hearing from you.Carl M[redacted]Sr. Director of Enrollment

Dear [redacted],I have reviewed the case submitted to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) as well as your ISLP account.  I see that there have been multiple conversations regarding the attendance of [redacted] to the ISLP program.I have reviewed the case, requesting a...

refund due to some confusion regarding the purchase of airfare in addition to the tuition cost.  Here is what I can share with you regarding this.On January 16, 2015, [redacted] was mailed an invitation to attend the ISLP program.  On January 30, 2015, the account was accessed and the session dates of May 17-24, 2015 were selected.  On February 12, 2015, the account was accessed again and the deposit for the program was paid.In the invitation mailed in January 16, 2015, there was a page titled "Information for Scholars".  Within this page, there is a section titled, "Tuition Includes", with a subsection titled "Transportation".  Within the "transportation" section, it states that airfare to and from the program is not included. In addition, an email was sent to [redacted] to the email address provided ([redacted]).  This email was sent on February 13, 2015.  There was a link within this email, titled My Scholar Laureate.  On this page, there is a section that reads as follows:"If you have not yet made travel arrangements, we encourage you to do so now. In order to assist you with your travel planning, the International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) Delegation on Business & Entrepreneurship has chosen WorldTEK as its official travel agency. You will find details in the Acceptance Materials on the next page."In reviewing the information above, I feel as though ISLP was forthcoming regarding tuition not being included in the program. What I would like to do, is rather than consider this a complete loss, I would like to offer you a transfer to next year.  I would be willing to waive the $50 transfer fee as well.I look forward to your response as we continue to look for a resolution.  Thank you.Carl M[redacted]

We are sorry to hear that your son's experience did not meet expectations. In consideration, we are willing to refund the full tuition price paid, which we are showing as $2365. If this is acceptable, please respond back and we will process it immediately. Thank you.

We apologize for any confusion, but were waiting for you to accept our offer before you processed the refund. Please be assured that merely updates the case, rather than closing it. Please respond that you've accepted the offer, along with confirmation of your address, and we'll process it right away. Thank you.

We are sorry to hear you feel the offer is unsatisfactory. We'd like to offer a compromise and refund $1352, which is the total amount paid minus the initial $499 deposit. We do incur significant costs of our own prior to program start dates, which is why tuition normally becomes nonrefundable after April 4. And also why we are unfortunately unable to refund in full. Please let us know if you find this satisfactory and we will initiate the refund right away. Thank you.

[redacted],I have received your case and have reviewed the details.  I wanted to inform you that we have issued a refund to your credit card $1,522.50 as requested in the disputed amount. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to me directly.  I have included...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], for which the business is requesting that I confirm my contact information and time when best to phone.  I've been through previously but have not been able to get this resolved by speaking to their representative.  I'm hoping envision is ready to resolve this for me within the next 5 days.   Regards,

We are sorry to hear that your expectations for our program were not met. Envision does strive to give students their first choice of capstone, but as stated in the enrollment materials it isn't something we can guarantee. We have a limited number of experts available in each field, and if demand is...

particularly high for one it is sometimes necessary to give students their second choice. We do ask scholars to rank each option beforehand, so we can try our hardest to place everyone in a capstone they will enjoy, even if it is not their first choice. As a gesture of good faith, we would like to offer a partial refund of $1000, which we'll process as soon as we receive your response. Thank you for allowing us to address your concerns and best wishes to you and your family.

Thank you for providing us the opportunity to address the concerns you have about your daughter’s cancellation from our program. We appreciate the notification you submitted by phone on June 24 for our Digital Media, Film, and Journalism Conference scheduled for July 6, and are sorry to hear that...

she is unable to join us this summer.  We also understand that you have been in communication about transferring to next summer, and will be happy to waive the $50 fee normally associated with doing so. I’ve included a copy of the cancellation terms that were accepted at the time of enrollment, and also provided in your daughter’s enrollment confirmation email. These terms list when families are eligible for a refund and when we are no longer able to provide one. Unfortunately, they are necessary to defray our nonrefundable costs as program dates approach. “Student Cancellations and Refunds: Both Student and Parent understand and agree that any cancellation and request for refund must be submitted in writing by mail, addressed to Envision EMI, or by calling ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. The request must be submitted by the Parent who signed the original enrollment application. Any supporting documentation related to a refund request must be received in writing at the time of the cancellation request. Additionally, if Student has subscribed to the Tuition and Travel Protection Plan, a claim must also be submitted to the Plan administrator identified in the Tuition and Travel Protection Plan summary sheet and brochure. All cancellation requests must include Student’s full name, Student’s ID, a brief reason for cancellation and an acknowledgement of the cancellation fees. Student and Parent further understand and agree that the following cancellation fees will apply to Tuition and any additional Add-On or service as applicable: Cancellation Received On or before April 5, 2016 Eligible Refund: Tuition less a $450 fee On or after April 6, 2016:  No refund” As indicated in your complaint, we will gladly transfer your enrollment to next year so that you do not lose the funds that were paid, but are unable to offer a refund. We will also waive the $50 transfer fee; if you are interested in doing so please contact our Office of Admissions and they will be happy to assist you with the process.

Dr. [redacted],I apologize for any inconvenience you may have endured through this process.  I can assure you that the cultural extension did take place as planned.  Regardless, I have refunded the cost of the cultural extension, $1,195, to the credit card we have on file.  In...

addition, we would encourage [redacted] to take advantage of the [redacted]  program next summer.  We will allow [redacted] to transfer the remaining tuition to next year as well as waive our $50 transfer fee.we hope that [redacted] has a speedy recovery and please feel free to contact me directly if you have any additional questions or concerns.Carl M[redacted]Director of Enrollment[redacted]

We are sorry you feel that there was miscommunication from our office. In consideration of the fact you are unable to attend next year, we are willing to offer a partial refund of your tuition minus the initial deposit paid at the time of enrollment. Please let us know at your earliest convenience whether you accept the offer, and we will then process your refund immediately. Thank you.

[redacted]  From: [redacted] <[redacted]>Date: Tue, Jul 12, 2016 at 11:13 AMSubject: Re: You have a new message from the Revdex.com of Metro Washington DC & Eastern Pennsylvania in regards to your complaint #[redacted].To: [redacted]Hi [redacted], I am sorry I missed the initial email that required me to respond if satisfied or not. The organization made contact with me and offered to help. They have offered me a new deal which I have since accepted and will be next year. The only thing is that in their response to me through Revdex.com they indicated they will waive a transfer fee.. However, when they called me, I was charged for it. I presume that is a miscommunication which I am not really worried about. I thank you for your help and follow. this was a great deal for me. Revdex.com was very helpful in helping me resolve this issue without having to take any further legal steps.Thank you.[redacted].
