I was sold rims and tires that are not reliable.
I have had these rims and tires for about a year. I have been stranded on the side of the road multiple times, while pregnant, because the tires that I was sold are no good. I feel like they have put my life in so much danger. I asked for good tires before anything and everyone keeps telling me that the tires are no good because they are "low profile". There was an incident where I had a blow out, when I received help because I could not afford to get my car towed, I learned that RNR gave me the wrong key for the rim, when I discussed this to them, they seemed as if it was not a big deal. Another time, I had my tire replaced in October 2019 and in November 2019 I was driving from college, the same tire blew out again as I was driving. I am tired of being stranded on the side of the road because they sold me unreliable rims and tires. I do not drive recklessly at all, I drive the speed limit, and I have never been in a wreck. This has been the most stressful car situation I've ever experienced, especially with me already being in school and pregnant. I just want my money back so that I could purchase something more reliable, especially since I am about to have a newborn soon. I paid $2,159.62 on 11/09/18. Agreement number ***Sales Rep was Joby.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking for this business to issue me a refund or atleast put rims and tires on my vehicle that are more reliable than the ones I was sold.

We appreciate Ms. as a customer. Though we strongly feel our company handled all of Ms. issues properly, we decided to swap her out with a different set of wheels and tires. This is not a normal practice and we feel that we went above and beyond for Ms. in this case. She has returned the damaged wheels and tires to our Alexandria location and we installed different wheels and new 20" tires. This will provide Ms. a tire that is more capable of handling the demands of travel.

RNR has very aggressive collection practices as well as drafting money without authorization from checking account.
RNR starts out with great service when first getting your tires. The real customer service experience then appears. On one occasion they showed up to our home while we were at work the day the payment was due (not after, but day of). They left a note on the door requesting payment or return of the tires. This was within the first 3 weeks.

My husband never signed permission stating the payment could auto draft from his debit card. He called and made a payment over the phone and Jeremy stored his card in their system without permission. After that point, he would go to check his balance on the card and find they had taken payment without first clearing it with him. He even called and told them not to draft money off his card again without his authorization. The manager returned the money back to his card. The following week, Jeremy auto drafted without permission again. This is not legal and we plan to pursue action regarding this issue. Jeremy will run the card for descending amounts until he can get an amount to go through.

Today my husband received a call from his boss stating Jeremy, the one who runs card without permission, was at his work looking for the car. The payment was due on 11/16 (5 days late). My husband called and made the payment and explained to the man on the phone (believes it was Brandon) these issues we have had. His response was "Sorry you feel this way. Have a nice day." The employee then hung up.

Desired Outcome

I would like other consumers to be forewarned about the way this location of RNR conducts business. I would like for the management to either better train their employees regarding customer serve, collection methods, and the legal ramifications of drafting money from individuals without authorization. Even if someone initially authorizes (I did not) and then request auto draft stop, they are no longer allowed to continue. I feel the employee that has total disregard for the legal collection guidelines (Jeremy) needs to be addressed.

Rent-N-Roll Response • Dec 18, 2019

The customer signed a credit card authorization form on 7/27/2019, authorizing RNR to charge the card for payments when due. Revocation of the authorization must be in writing. No written revocation has been received. Payments must be made in a timely manner. The customer has been late numerous times, and collection activity is initiated when the account is past due. Late fees and calls can be avoided with timely payments. Account information, including the pay history and credit card authorization, is attached in support of RNR's position.

Customer Response • Dec 18, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If you review the credit card authorization form, there is no credit card information provided on the form. I too work in a business setting where we obtain auto draft authorization. You are required to only draft on forms with the completed card information. If a customer changes cards they have to complete a new form with the updated card info. The initial form shows no card information and the card they are drafting from was not acquired until months after the contract date. They do not have a completed auto draft authorization on file.

It involves payment/payments, kinda associate business practice an tires that were on car before coming to RnR
I or mother haven't went/call the business yet because I know how rent-to-own type businesses work in general...

Currently I/nor my mother are able to make the remaining payments on the tires only I'd had gotten from this location about month or so ago because of personal issues that had arose recently. An I have looked at calendar to kinda summarize when I'd be able to make the remaining payments on the tires be around mid-January & that's where ((2 out of the 3 issues come in)) 1st: would be since I'm behind/or will be behind on a payment or 2 plus the time span of when I'd be able to start again I kno they most likely won't allow that type of time span to wait on a next payment an of course want product back which to an extent would be understandable. The 2nd issue of the two is: If I or my mother do an would if a must return the product I would, but that brings the issue of driveability because I'd have No tires to put in replace of those, which brings in issue 3..

3rd: the 3rd issue is associate/business practices & the knowledge to ask each questions to the customerof wats supposed to be done is if: (why was I/my mother Not asked if we wanted to keep our old tires???)) Which still had themselves a good 60 to 70% tread left on all 4 of the old tires!!! That is why I'm not sure how to go about this knowing the time span I need to start again & at the same time the situation me/mom was put into with Neither of us being asked to keep old tires since we was there together.

Desired Outcome

Figure wat can be done since time span needed to start back on payments & resolution to if I return the product on the issue of (my old tires) an Us Not being asked if we wanted to keep them

I purchased tires to have installed on after market rims. RnR damaged the top of both front powder coated calipers and are not willing to resolve.
On October 3rd my wife and I dropped of our 2018 WRX STI at the Rent N Roll (RNR) location in Fredericksburg Va to have new tires installed on market rims and an alignment done. I requested my old rims be removed from the vehicle and returned to me along with removing the TPS (tire pressure sensors) so the vehicle would read tire pressure on the aftermarket rims. New valve stems were to be installed on the old factory rims and tires and they were to be balanced. We paid $1202.28 and picked up the vehicle the following day with the factory rims in bags in the back seat. They advised us they couldn't complete and alignment because their machine needed parts so we'd have to reschedule. That was not a problem, we scheduled the alignment and drove home. The following day I went to wash/clean the car that was serviced (bc of hand prints) and prior to cleaning I noticed the powder coating was freshly scratched away on the top corner of the dust covered front left caliper. I then carefully removed the rims to find two additional large chips located on the top inside of each front caliper as well as the large scratch on the outside edge of the front left caliper. I immediately took pictures and sent them to Mario, the employee I was in contact with regarding my service. Since then I have talked with Tommy the store manager and Josh a regional or District Manager of some kind regarding the damage. The calipers are a special factory color that does not have a paint code and there is no seal kit that can be purchased. The only option in retaining the factory color is to have them replaced. The store manager said the decision is above his ability and Josh is only offering to repaint them a different color. Powder coating can not be painted because it is a none porous surface, to properly paint it must be sandblasted. RNR is refusing to provide a resolution that puts my vehicle back to the condition it was in prior to being serviced at this location. I keep having to reach out week after week since no one is getting back to me regarding this issue. The last offer was for me to pay for the calipers out of pocket and Josh offered to "cover the labor". I can install calipers myself, I simply want my vehicle returns to the condition it was in prior to entering RNR!

Desired Outcome

I am seeking RNR to return my vehicle to the condition it was prior to having service work done at the Fredericksburg VA location by replacing both my front damaged/chipped calipers with undamaged front calipers that retain the factory fluorescent colors.

Rent-N-Roll Response • Dec 09, 2019

Although we understand Mr. concerns, we have responded quickly and thoroughly to him regarding his claim. We did not damage his brake calipers, and as they are unable to be repaired or painted, we are unwilling to replace them as they are in the $1000s.

1. The calipers were super dirty when we worked on his car. we are only pointing this out to note the damage may have been present prior and not visible.

2. in order to cause this sort of damage, our techs would have had to drop the wheels on the calipers or strike them very hard multiple times with the likes of a hammer, and the wheels would show damage, and they do not.

3. the customer removed the wheels himself after our work was completed, so we were not the last one to work on the car, and he may have caused the damage himself.

4. chips are common on powder coated brake calipers after time on the road, from rocks and other road debris, moving at high speed on impact, which is normal.

Customer Response • Dec 09, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As otherwise expressed by RnR my new rims did now show signs of damage but my old rims did. I even sent pics of the scratches. Also the cleanliness of the calipers only matter if the dirt was in the "very evidently fresh chips" on the powder coating surface. The exposed metal under all the chip were clean and fresh, which if the calipers were clean they could argue the same details.
Luckily the calipers were dirty so you could very easily tell the damage was fresh! I ONLY removed the rims FOLLOWING finding the very clear and fresh large scratch on the outer edge of my front left caliper. Upon removal of both front rims I found additional damage on both calipers.
I delicately removed the rims (placing cardboard in between the rim and caliper) and sent photos immediately following finding the damage to my calipers. Of course they refuse to acknowledge causing the damage. This was the only time the factory rims were removed since the vehicles purchase, the car had 12,000 miles on it and had no chips from rocks or marks on the calipers prior.
Its like damaging a car door thats blue and offering to paint it black yet saying "we didn't damage it". Just because your shop doesn't admit fault (Or didn't know they caused the damage) doesn't mean the damage wasn't caused by your employees. I took time to file a complaint rather then accept an "offer" that would change the over all look of my vehicle so other people would know the type of business this is. If the damage wasn't caused by RnR then anyone trying to "scam" them would've taken any "offer" made for free. I respect my car and my ethics more then taking hush money despite the failure to provide a satisfactory level of customer service.
Will never take any vehicle I care about to this establishment again nor should any consumer. If your car is dinged up and scratched all over then this is your place because the damage won't go noticed. Even being in the back of the shop I had to step over hazards, no organization, and no room to work. No wonder my vehicle was damaged on a day they were "busy".

Rent-N-Roll Response • Dec 12, 2019

We are super reasonable and always stand behind our work, but there is no middle ground.

We are not paying for something we didn't damage.

Customer Response • Dec 12, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If you stand by your work and do not pay for things you didn't damage then why offer to pay for painting my calipers at all? I brought the discovered damage up the next day and sent photos. It took over a week for anyone to even answer me back after I called numerous times.

I refused to accept an inadequate offer to paint my powder coated calipers they damaged because it did not restore my vehicle to the condition it was prior to entering the RnR shop. Much like the numerous circular conversations, RnR says they didn't cause the damage yet were more then willing to make an offer to paint ALL my calipers to match AT NO COST.

Since anyone with car knowledge (which apparently means not RnR) knows you can not paint powder coated surfaces since it is such a non-porous surface, paint would not adhere to the calipers and they would ultimately look worse within a year.

Between RnR never calling me back every time they said someone would be reaching back out I got tired and frustrated at the poor level of customer service and wanted to make sure anyone considering entering RnR would know the TRUE level of customer service, poor quality of work, and apparent lack of concerns for customer vehicles.

Id rather file a complaint to let more customers be aware of what could occur then allow them to touch any of my vehicles again.

Tires are getting bubbles in sidewall and we have to pay to get replaced , they are 2 1/2 months oldThe tire on the right front got a bubble in the sidewall I had to wait from Saturday to Tuesday evening to get replaced and was charged to have a new tire replaced now the right side is showing same problem . this is with road hazard on them supposedly . will never do business with again and encourage everyone to beware

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Free replacement

Rent-N-Roll Response • Dec 04, 2019

We have a protection package that covers this with a deductible. The customer is insistent on not paying the deductible.

RNR appear to have and advertise to have great and easy service. They give you options of how to make payments with a 6 month payment, same as cash plan. On their paper work it gives the consumer options to pay their note weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. My husband and I told John as well as a lady that works there that we would be making the payments monthly in which they replied that was fine as long as they didn't have to call for the payment. First month.. came and the business began calling. We made a payment just to make a first payment out of the way and once again informed them that we would be paying monthly. However, they call us every week for a payment; sometimes multiple times a day they call and add late charges to the payment etc. It is borderline harassment and quite frankly wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They've even started calling our references that they insisted on us listing just to get the tires in the first place. NOBODY USE RNR TIRE EXPRESS!! SAVE UP AND BUY THEM OUTRIGHT FROM SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN RNR... B/C THEY LIE AND HARASS YOU!!!

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want them to be investigated. If their not going to allow consumers to take the options they offer then they need to be made to stop offering them. They also need to stop all the harassing phone calls. I was a former debt collector and it was against the law and company policy to call anyone more then once a day.

Document Attached***
The customer, after an initial processing fee payment of $20.00 on 8/3/2019, failed to make payments for August, and therefore was late on all subsequent payments. The lease payments are due in advance, as are all rental payments. The attached documents support this claim. Calls (contacts) begin when the account is past due. Multiple calls in one day are made until there is an answer. In the event the customer wishes to pay monthly, the account must be brought current, and the next monthly payment must be made in advance in order to avoid late fees.

False advertising. Charging 50% interest on 6 months same as cash sales. Charging full sales tax on the unpaid balance each month.
Lured in by ads saying $20 down, 6 months same as cash. Down payment required was $170. Payments were supposed to have total sale paid in 6 months. At the end of 6 months, according to their accounting, amount owed will be still $318.53 on a total sale of $795.13 paid at $142.55 each month. At month 7, if not paid, total amount owed will jump to $619.15. Also they are charging full sales tax each month on the total balance owed. 6 months at $142.55 is $855.30 far exceeding the $795.13 sales price including the sales tax. At month 7, if not paid in full, the total owed will jump to $619.15.
My understanding is that "6 months same as cash" means no interest presuming I make all my payments on time, which I have. Also my understanding is sales tax is only assessed on the total sale, ONE TIME, not EVERY MONTH on the unpaid balance. This smacks of predatory lending to me.

Desired Outcome

RNR tire pays restitution to myself and everyone else affected by this practice. Censure and notification to the public of their practices.

Rent-N-Roll Response • Dec 05, 2019

Our store reached out to Mr.. Mr. did not properly understand our transaction and how it works. The store explained that we do not charge any interest, our minimum payments are the minimum amount to keep the account current but will not necessarly pay the account in full in six months, explained that our six months same as cash is just that with no added interest, And that we do not charge sales tax once on the total amount, rather on each payment made.
Our store worked with Mr *** and I am told that he now understands and is good.
Thank you,

Billing adjustment

Falsifying Payments and Pay offs According to Management Approval
Very disappointed in the service and Treatment I received from District Manager Matt of Clearwater Store located on Missouri Ave it seems he can never be Honest or stick to One Story.Have done Business with Rent N roll since the first Store in Pinellas Park when this man was changing tires on my vehicles at the time when John was store Manager.

Had a few issues with my bill that have spent the last year trying to solve every time I am told I paid off account is Closed another payment gets added.Basically telling Store Manager one story to tell me as well as other customer but switching story again to benefit his needs.Today I was called a liar because I spoke truth in regards to Customer Care. When really Customer Care isnt its basically routed to him meaning you will never talk to someone who should take care of unprofessional issues.

I was also told he was a Part Owner and I told him Customer is always right in a situation where they are and have been truly a loyal customer over 15 years.Longer than he has been a partial Owner and the sad thing is why would a Partial or Owner call a customer back and call them a liar verses handling situation Professionally. My pay off as of April according to him was $500 of 5 payments of $114 paid off last month all of sudden today story changes again make that 4 times this year. Which lead to a argument about Truth and Lie Stealing Fraud all of the Negatives above extended payment to the end.Verses honoring as a true Business owner towards a true and Customer who has been loyal since day one.

When you say that your Store Manager revealed false info and call a customer a Liar its really Skeptical on truly how many times a customer has Overpaid or been Mislead.Crazy thing is me and Store Manger agreed to do a written agreement where we all 3 sign sadly he called back not knowing I was on the other line and told his Store Manager he isnt doing no Signing or Written agreement.

Which was a disappointment to me and very Embarrassing to his Store Manager and it Revealed who or whom he Truly Portrays.Wise words of Close make sure all details are covered step by step every payment hold all accountable with Proof and Signature when dealing with any Business Structure

Desired Outcome

Close Account no further payments review my track record and the amount of years and business I have done over 15 years from their first Shop....

They sold me a new tire that was bad
On August 27th at 10:00 am . I purchased two brand new tires from rent and roll. When I left I was on the highway going home and I noticed a slight vibration on the front passenger side which were one of the tires I purchased. I wasn't sure if it was the road or the tire. The next morning August 28 I got up to go to work and I noticed the front passenger side tire was still bumping. So I went to work which was at 7:00 am. But when I got off I noticed the tire was flat so I found someone with a air pump and pumped up the tire then I noticed the wall of the tire had lumps in it so I called rent and roll and they told me to bring the wheel. I drove there and waited 3 1/2 hours before they took my car into the bay to check it. I went in the bay to show them the problem which was the lumps in the tire wall and they refused to replace the tire but told me I can buy another one with $50.00 off. That's not fair being that I just bought the tire just the day before.

Desired Outcome

I am seek a replacement for the defective product that was sold to me.

Customer Response • Sep 19, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accepted because they apologized and said that he would be contacting me in the next couple of days to satisfy the issue.

I have been having issues with the replacement of my tires.
I have been dealing with this location for over a month about replacement tires. I have spoken with the manager and store representatives on more than one occasion and nothing seems to get resolved. My car has been towed at least 3 times due to bad tires that this location continues to place on my vehicle even though they have told me each tire has been new. I have been inconvenienced because I have had to leave my car over night and had to find ways to get to and from work. This last time that I took my car to this location they again put bad tires on my car, my car was wobbling and one tire was so bad it has a huge bubble that if I drive and hit a pot hole it will burst! I contacted them again the very next day and was told to bring it back but I would not make it in time so they had me take it to another location, in which the representative never even called because once I called to the other location in Clearwater they told me to bring it another day because I wasn't down for a appointment. Monday 8/26/2019 I took it to the Clearwater location in which they stated that the three tires that the Saint Petersburg location told me were new tires were all bad and that I had to either leave it over night until they got it situated or put a donut on my vehicle. I have had enough and I am very disappointed with the customer service and the product being provided! I will definitely not shop with this company ever again and I don't recommend at all.

Desired Outcome

I want all brand new tires and I want them to be installed on properly. I would like my money back for the replacement tires or to not pay to replace the ones that need to be replaced. I would like for this company to properly train their employees on how to deal with customers, their ethics is also horrible, to intentionally deceive a customer about if tires were new is distasteful.

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 30, 2019

Mrs.,
I am very sorry for you issue you are having with the product we have sold you. I have approved a complete swap out of all four tires. The St. Petersburg store manager is aware of the situation and ready to replace all four tires as soon as your available.
Again please accept my deepest apologies and please give us a chance to fix this issue for you.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have tried to contact Matthew K. and I have yet to hear back from him. I called 8/31/19 to see if I could bring my vehicle, first I would like to state Edgar clearly had an attitude and was very rude! I'm not sure on why the attitude when I have been patient after being inconvenienced on more than one occasion and I didn't appreciate that. I went down to the Saint Petersburg location the morning of 8/31/19 and spoke with the GM, I left my car for a few hours and was advised it was ready for pick up later that day. Once there for pick up I was told again my tires were new etc. and that my sensor was probably faulty, they found nothing wrong and just went bigger with tires. I was given documents to sign in which I read over and saw that I was being charged for brand new tires! This was upsetting and when asked if this was a new agreement the GM stated no and proceeded to explain but indeed it was a new agreement, I was not aware of the signing of a new agreement. Also I took my car for a second opinion due to the fact that after swap of new tires, my tire pressure was low again the next day. I was advised that my tire valve stem is leaking and that the tire pressure sensor was never reset. The shop that checked my tire said they found the leak immediately after dipping the wheel and can't understand how The business I received the wheels from didn't notice.

Customer Response • Sep 10, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am aware of how to take care of high performance tires, your St Petersburg location kept replacing my tires with used tires that were bad as well as not replacing the valve. The company that looked at my tire could not replace the valve because the machine they had would mess up rim, but valve still needs to be replaced. I would like to transfer to the Clearwater location for the remainder of my contract.

Thank you

Rent-N-Roll Response • Sep 11, 2019

Mrs. your account has been moved to the Clearwater location per your request.
Please schedule an appointment to have your valve stem replaced or repaired at your earliest convienance
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We got tires last July and acct manager didn't set up autopay for correct amount to pay off 180 days.
I went in today to talk to account manager because I thought our tires should be paid off by now. When I first went in the store manager said I paid to much. Then I spoke with the NEW account manager and he explained the old account manager that "no longer works there" did not set up payments correctly to pay off in the 6 month same as cash. That they had others in the same position and are having to put out fires because of the previous account manager. I had called them back in late January and was told my account would be paid off in June. Some come July I had another payment come out. I was okay with that but then August came out. That's when I started questioning it. So even when I called in January the account manager could have told me at that time I had till the end of the month to pay off the tires or it would go out of the 6 months. So I am wondering how is this my fault that they had a incompetent account manager.I know we signed a contract but the least they could have done was take off the last little bit I owe which is like $250 and maybe refund one month of payment which is 137.50. This is not going to hurt them any. The new account manager today called the regional manager and he said they could do nothing for me. This is not good business practice. To fault a customer for having an employee that can not do their job and to admit there are others in the same position I am in because of the previous account manager.

Desired Outcome

I would like to have the rest of my payments canceled and 1 month of payments refunded of $137.56

I bought tires from the Tupelo Ms location in February and was told it was roughly $550 for 6 months same as cash, I ended up paying almost $900. He explained the contract poorly and since it took 2 hours to get them on I was rushed. I didn't get a copy of my contract and asked that it be mailed to me, but never was, after repeatedly asking every time I called to make a payment that it be mailed. I ended up working in another area so made all my payments by phone, at the end I had to pay a large amount to pay them off and asked for my final receipt be mailed so I have my proof they were paid off, I never received it. I called back and asked again for it to be mailed and still nothing. It's been 2 weeks. I live 1.5 hours from there and work during the week which is why I asked tat it be mailed. So I have repeatedly asked for a copy of my full contract, a detailed copy of all payments, receipts, and a paid in full slip be sent and I have received nothing. I was talked to poorly when I voiced concerns and even told by the account manager that started in July that my contract wasn't explained correctly. This needs to be corrected ASAP.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want a full copy of my signed contract, a detailed copy of every payment made showing what all my payments went towards, and a receipt showing that I am in fact paid off.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you, but it's truly unfortunate that there are so many complaints about the same issues with this company. Once I receive the documents and look everything over I may possibly be back in touch with them if there are any charges that were not told to me originally and possibly be requesting a refund for anything I was not made aware of.

Customer Response • Sep 06, 2019

Purchased tires from the Tupelo Ms location and was overcharged for items that I declines on my contract that were supposed to be corrected. I finally got the copies of my contract and payment details and the items that were originally supposed to be fixed on my contract were not corrected and I ended up paying for. When the contract was signed, the sales rep has checked accepted on both the alignment and roll pro on my contract and I told him I didn't want this but they were taking 2 hours to get my stuff done so he said he would correct it and make sure I got a corrected copy after I initialed it. So we went through it and I got my tires put on and I called when I got back to work and made sure a corrected copy would be mailed to me and of course it wasn't until now. I declined because I have roadside on my insurance plan and wasn't interested in the other and this was supposed to be corrected. I live 1.5 hours from tupelo so I didn't have the ability to just drive up there and requested all this several times and now I see why they were hesitant to say anything. I was overcharged for $200.02 for items that I actually declined and was told would be corrected on my contract and that contract sent to me. I would have stayed but I have an hour lunch and by this time had been gone almost 2.5 hours so I had to get back to work and now find out after finally receiving my contract why I ended up paying so much. I want a refund of these items that I was told by Tyler Turner would be corrected on my contract and would not be charged for and still ended up paying.

This is a verbal reply taken by Revdex.com:

We have already offered this consumer a refund but she was not happy with what we came back with for $50. Consumer expressed to us that she was seeking legal counsel.

Payment not posted to my account in January that was made over the phone, Shown proof multiple times of it coming out.
I have had issues with RNR since January, I made a payment for 40 dollars on my account over the phone with Will at RNR, I told him I was heading out of town for a funeral in Indiana and the next week I made a payment again before 9am when they opened, I went to my vehicle at lunch and the tires had been removed I spoke with Anthony at RNR and told him and sent proof of both payments and he got the tires put back on as they had the payment from that morning and would have Will address the other payment I sent proof of. I was told multiple times that the payment was posted to my account by Ace and Will and I kept telling them it did not show this made me go pass the 6 month same as cash and now I had a year of payments to do, I finally spoke with Matt the region manager for stores and he advised me there was no payment in for the 40 and he was not sure why I was being told there was, To this date no payment for my 40 has been posted now my account has been closed since I advised them I wanted it credited. I also advised back in March the car was repossessed by Credit Acceptance and was not sure where it was taken as it was sold in auction and I would do my best to keep up with payments since the tires were gone, I would have kept up with payments if they would have just credited my account since proof as been given, I would not have gotten to this point if it was done correctly the first time there has been multiple times where they just run my card that was on file with no authorization just cause I have it saved did not give them authorization to run a card

Desired Outcome

I want corporate to handle this and not the store as they have been unhelpful to this point and caused me not to get it paid off in the 6 months, THis is sad as I sent multiple customers to them since it was good for the first few months until it got close to the 6 month when I would have paid it off

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 21, 2019

Mr. your agreement has been terminated for none payment.
In edition to none payment the merchandise is no longer in your possession. Effectively terminating your agreement as well per the section of the rental agreement referred to as "assignment.
Myself and management have advised you to provide the receipt or bank statement for the $40 payment not applied to your account. RNR will credit that amount off the balance owed when that has been provided.
I am also always available to you at 813-977-9800 option 3 for customer care.
I would be more than willing to address all of your concerns.
Thank you.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have provided this info to the store multiple times and they told me multiple times it was on my account already, Then speaking to Matt I am told it was never on my account and the store would handle it which was never done, I am willing to come up with an agreement to get the merchandise paid off since there errors caused me to go past the 6 month same as cash agreement, I need the balance before the 40 is credited and after the 40 credited to my account. I am not liking a whole statement to this I have added the part of the 40 that was posted to my bank account on 1-18-19, I would hope any fees added to my account are waived I know I was under 300 left on my account without the 40 credited. The part where I no longer have the merchandise is due to the vehicle being repo and I was not able to find out where it was taken before being sold at an auction, I advised management of this back in Feb but told them I would try to keep up with the account since I could not locate the merchandise at that time. Like I said I want to get this taken care of with RNR corporate not the location

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 23, 2019

Mr. as I stated in the previous message this account has been terminated. If you would like to settle this account with a single payment I am more than willing to remove any late fee's assessed and apply the $40 to the balance.
I am not allowed to discuss balance or account details in an open forum and would need for you to contact the customer care line at the home office 813-977-9800 option3.
Please believe me I am here to help you and hope we can get your issue taken care of.
Thank you.

The story the customer tells is not the one our records reflect. The customer leased a set of Gateway tires on 1-24-19. He agreed to make weekly or monthly payments for a time until he choose one of our many early purchase options, leased to own, or returned the product to us with no lease balance. The customer paid into the agreement for a period just over four months and then simply disappeared. Our collection team made numerous calls and visits to work out something with the customer. All of this to no avail On August 29, 2019 we located our property and retrieved in accordance with Ohio law. We do not have equipment to dismount tires from wheels in the field. We plan to remove those wheels and give them back to the customer when he comes into pay a balance of three plus months lease fees as well as other collection charges. We have told him all these facts. We do not plan to put in the labor needed to remove those wheels until the customer shows good faith on his part by repaying what is owed

I was told the payoff was one price but when I called payoff the went up 50.00.
Yes when I went in to get the tires for my vehicle I knew the tires were going to be more than normal due to the fact I had to finance them. But I signed the agreement. I made my payments always on time and always paid over the amount due. But instead of them putting that extra money on the account they held in something they called reserve. I would ask my balance everytime I made a payment and I begin to notice it was not really coming down even with the 100.00-125.00 payment. I made a payment on last friday and asked my payoff balance because I was tired of the balance not moving, I was told it was 412.56 but I had 195.00 in reserve, so I put the plan in motion to pay my tires off this week before I was due again. According to the amount I was told my payoff should have been 217.56, but when I called and told him I want to pay the account off he ignored me and asked was I making a two week payment, I said no I wanted to pay the account off. He placed me on hold and came back and told me it was going to be 446.56 I asked where the added amount came from between friday and Tuesday. He really could not answer I did go ahead an pay the total due. But I feel it was not correct. I would not advise anyone to use this company.

Desired Outcome

I would like to know how the payoff total jumped up from 417 to 446 when I mentioned I wanted to pay the account off. And why did the amount I over paid go towards the account to bring my balance down instead of it never coming down. I feel I was over charged more than just the 50.00 at the time of the payoff, because of the balance never coming down and them holding my money.

I really appreciate the inquiry from our valued customer. Though I cannot address the conversation that I was not a part of regarding payout or balance inquiry, I will seek to provide an explanation.
The original cash out the door price was- $836.00
The customer signed up for Road Hazard Roll Safe program that includes a 1 year replacement for a new tire (not depreciated value) that includes numerous services during the term of the agreement. This service was $5.00 weekly for the term of the agreement or payout.
Customer chose payment option as they stated the agreement paying a $10 initial Processing Fee.
All paper work was signed and reviewed with our customer.
The break down is as follows:
Cash 120 SAC Tire Cost - $836.00
Processing Fee - 10.00
Roll Pro/Roll Safe Fees - 75.00
Sales Taxes - 76.02
Total Paid - $997.02
As the President of RNR Tire Express of Texas my concern is for the mis-communication that prompted the Revdex.com complaint. We take ANY customer dis-satisfaction SERIOUSLY! I'm available personally to clear up any issue. Had our customer asked to speak to our corporate office, we would have responded to resolve the issue. Many times it is poor communication, and we will be accountable for that and train accordingly to correct any issue. Additionally, I personally reviewed our customer file, payments, etc. Though my review concluded no discrepancy, I respect that our customer my feel otherwise. At RNR we are only as good as our relationships that we strive to build with our customer. One bad experience, is too many. I would take pleasure in discussing the issue further, providing any payments print out either by phone (my number attached), in person or email. Our mission is to EARN a customer for life!!! Though I did not find a discrepancy, I would extend a 10% discount on any new Tire/Wheel purchase in the future. Our customer will hopefully receive long tire life and great value on the tires that they have purchased with their hard earned money. Their Tire warranty still includes rotation and balance, road hazard replacement warranty until 4/24/2020. To ensure maximum tire life please rotate and balance your tires every 5000 miles! When you stop in for anything in the future, ask for me, my office is located at our Tyler location.

Let me know how I may further assist you!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I feel like I was mislead, when I asked for a payoff I was told one price. I will make sure I tell everyone about the deceptive practices that go on at this store. I do blame myself I wish I would have read the reviews on the store before I went in. But I will do my best to make sure this does not happen to others. So Buyer Beware!!!

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 19, 2019

As stated in my previous response, "One bad experience is too many". As I read our customer's latest response this morning, I saw we have some work to do on our part to correct this if possible. I left my office for a post surgery follow up, thinking about my response to our customer. Believe it or not the complaint bothers honest people like myself that our customer would believe that we would intentionally deceive them. I would like to share a true story with you. Today the nurse, Julie at my appointment saw my RNR shirt and began singing our jingle...Everyone needs a little RNR. I said have you done business with us? Yes, I paid them off last year 120 same as cash. How was your experience, I asked? Great, love the team, services in the store. I didn't have the cash, I needed tires and was glad to hear RNR on the radio. She further stated, I need tires on another car and I'm coming in soon. Julie did you leave a review, no I'm sorry I should have. I really needed to see hear a positive and the timing based on reading this Revdex.com complaint was perfect. My point is, in the modern technology age many of the reviews are not the most positive. Statistics prove that online post about positive experiences are rare. We know the stats and we respond to all of them and can usually come to a solution.
As President of RNR Tire Express of Texas, opinions by our customer MATTER right or wrong!!! I did offer further discussions/solutions since unlike some big businesses, we care!!! Additionally, I have had plenty of misunderstandings as a consumer. Most of the time there's a solution. After knowing the facts, accepting the resolution, I move on understanding, People sometimes don't get it right because they are people.
As previously stated, I reviewed the file, payments ,etc. The customer file was signed by our customer, initialed after all rate, terms services were completely covered personally with our customer by our team. Though as previously stated, I was not present for the payoff balance conversation that created doubt with our customer. I'm most interested in a resolution. Heck, I'd by lunch, have a discussion, etc. If our customer gave us the opportunity, I believe we can clear this up! When there's a misunderstanding, people CAN work it out.
The statements that we are deceptive, is simply not what I've built our business on, lived my life doing or modeling. We give back within the local schools, community and believe in doing the right thing PERIOD!!!!
Again, my direct number is: ***-***-8038. Let me know what I can do to make this right PLEASE!!!!

Bad warranty
I purchased one tire from this company and paid cash for it. Less than 3 months later later the tire went bad. They tell me since I paid cash it effect my warranty. They would not replace it or anything. 1st they told me if it's a nail in it they would fixed it. After they found the nail then said I road on it with the nail so I have to buy another one. I been getting the run around for months. Please help me get my money back or a new tire.

Desired Outcome

My money back or a new tire

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 07, 2019

Mr. I am very sorry you are not satisfied with your purchase.
It is very unfortunate that you picked up a nail shortly after you purchased the tire. Normal procedure would be to repair the tire through our free repair program. But as you stated it sounds like the tire was driven on with low air pressure witch does in fact make the tire unrepairable and unsafe.
Manufacture warranty covers premature wear but not accidental damage to the tire like nails or potholes.
I do want to help you with this issue and maybe we could come to a mutual agreement that will work for you.
Please call ***-9800 select option for customer care.

I like to start off with a very important detail I am a dialysis patient and the customer service that I was giving is very unacceptable On Friday 1/18/2020 I Called A Road Warrior telephone number and which it was given to me from this RNR rim shop.I was using and Free tow that I was giving with a warranty upon my contract. After the first tow truck driver which never showed up didn't appear I was contacted again by The road warrior phone number that I was given for free tow. I spoke to a lady on the phone who was concerned about the lateness of the tow driver and that was instructed that another driver was going to be on the way. Finally after the driver shows up my car was hooked up to his tow truck from the rear and pulled onto his truck and dropped off at the RNR rim shop on 103rd.after 5 days I was contacted by RNR rim shop and was told that my car was ready to be picked up upon picking up I was charged $40 for a repair rim that was cracked but was never told about the issue with my car.after paying and getting my receipt I proceeded to pull off of the parking lot which RNR rims is on and felt a crazy grinding rubbing noise with my car it was so bad I could not pull off the lot.after noticing the issue I went inside and address the workers at the counter and which I was quickly dismissed after a short brief talk with their mechanic saying that it was my brakes and which my car was in perfectly working shape before I brought it to the shop. After not getting any decent customer service about my now non-working car I was forced to call a corporate number and which he strongly advised me to take it to another mechanic shop to get a second opinion and he would go from there as far as replacing. I then brought the vehicle to sun tire on 103rd Street . The mechanic there said that the right rear wheel is damaged from rubbing on trailer arm and both lateral links were bent upon real arrival. This was damage done by the tow truck driver and now nobody wants to take responsibility

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I managed to talk to the manager of the tow truck company. he lied to me and said that he would come up to the shop to check damages and which he never did so I was left paying the bill I would just like for him to pay the $396 that I had to spend and also my rim is now damaged so there's a wheel that needs to be replaced as well

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 12, 2019

Let me start off by saying that we are truly sorry that this incident happened to the customer.
Please let the customer know to reach out to us and we will take care of the wheel issue with their car. We have attempted to reach out to them but have not heard a response. Unfortunately, we are not affiliated with the tow company that caused damage to their car, therefore, the customer would need work through them to get the refund.

Customer Response • Aug 13, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The Reason I do not accept this response is because the tow truck that was called was given to me through a road side assistance warranty (that was thatincluded in the contract) was issued through your company Rent N Roll. I called the number on the paper that was given to me ,they then found there own tow driver and sent him to me..I did not call up my own rigger company I used the one issued through my warranty with road side assistance. In my opinion if u had any real concern you would hold the people that are truly responsible accountable in this matter, not just by just letting everything fall on the customer

Rent-N-Roll Response • Aug 21, 2019

Your check arrived at our location on 103rd Street location in Jacksonville and is ready for pick up at your earliest convenience. Ask for the store manager when you arrive at the store and they will give it to you. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Customer Response • Aug 22, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Took payments on the wrong date and wrong card after being instructed for two months they were billing wrong card at wrong time.
I contacted local store in Mobile Al on several occasions to let them know they were taking the payments off the wrong card at the wrong time. I was told by 3 different people that they put a note in the system when to take the payment and for the amount I requested. I was told that my 6 months were up on july 27th. When I contacted the store last week I was informed that my balance was now $600 as the 6 months was up on july 11th. This would not have occurred if they were taking the payments when they were instructed to. I have contacted the corporate office twice with no answer or returned phone call.

Desired Outcome

I would request my account to be marked as paid in full as this was a store error.
