Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint I have not yet heard a response regarding my rejection on November 27th.I would like to mention that I feel that my true concern is still being dismissedI know persons with a job such as ** ***s, and upon my inquiries I was informed that the company would have access to the records of sent correspondence regarding notifying me of their purchase of my account if it was truly ever sentI was also informed that the company has the capability to remove this mark from my credit report if they so chooseThe rfrom the original creditor will remain on my report regardless, and I understand this completely, but they were unwilling to accept broken down paymentsSince this company is more willing to accept broken down payments, it would have been essential to receive notice from them regarding attaining my account to amend this prior to damaging my credit reportI would appreciate ** ***'s consideration of this action to remove LVNV Funding mark from my credit report since they are unable to prove their attempts to notify me of my debt with them prior to reporting to the credit bureausI still intend to continue my payments on time to the company directly since they admitted clerical errors regarding my account, and hope that they understand that it is possible that a clerical error may have also taken part as to why I didn't know this company purchased my debt, which is the only reason their balance was never paidI would appreciate a response more satisfactory to resolving my true complaint so this matter may be considered settled

Dear *** ***:
This letter is in response to your correspondence dated November 17, regarding the above referenced accountLVNV Funding LLC ("LVNV") owns the account number ending in *** Resurgent Capital Services LP ("Resurgent") is the servicer of the account owned by LVNV. The account was previously sold by *** *** *** on or about October 16, 2009. Please review the following account information:
This account originated on September 12, with *** *** *** ***
This account charged off on September 18, with a balance of $The last payment in the amount of $was received on November 17, All ownership rights were transferred to LVNV when this account was purchased from the previous creditor. Those include the right to collect and report to the consumer reporting agencies (also known as “credit bureaus”). Currently, this account is being reported to the three major consumer reporting agencies on behalf of LVNV. The original creditor may also continue to report the history of this account from the origination date to the time of saleResurgent received multiple disputes that *** *** submitted electronically through the consumer reporting agencies. Resurgent responded to each one in the adequate time by providing the corresponding information to the respective credit bureaus
The consumer reporting agencies reporting guidelines have defined a "factoring company" as a company or individual who purchases accounts with the intent of collecting debts owed. Therefore, the term is accurate in this situation and the account is reported correctlyThe term “open” in *** *** credit report does not literally mean that the account is open or can be used. That information is one of the data reporting requirements set by the consumer reporting agencies and is a “portfolio type” which we report as “Open,” meaning only that the entire balance is due upon demand. This is an accurate description of the account, which was charged off and therefore the entire balance is delinquent and due. If *** *** has additional questions related to the credit bureau reporting, then he will need to contact the respective credit reporting agencies
We have verified this account was paid in full on November 17, for $710.47. The status of the account was updated to "Paid in Full" on November 17, 2014. The account is considered resolved in our office, and *** *** should not be contacted by Resurgent or any affiliate companies regarding this account
In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), a request to update this account as "Paid in Full" will be submitted to the three major consumer reporting agencies during the next reporting cycle
If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please contact Customer Service at ***
Sincerely,
** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
The reply by the business does not begin to answer the complaint. The business fails to realize that the account numbers do not match the current account number. In conversation with the collections department of ***, I was told if we had this type of outstanding account or balance we would not be approved for another account. We have been with *** for over years and our account number is the same as our current account number. I have contacted my attorney regarding this issue and was advised to prepare a certified letter to the business advising them unless this action is stopped and the account removed from my credit reports, the only step left would be to file a legal suit. I am more than happy to provide the name of my attorney of record. I will be sending said letter this week. I have been advised, again by said attorney, to allow days for this issue to be corrected before filing a legal suit
