Review: I purchased a product and received and signed for it without checking for damage. It was broken and it took rockauto over 3 months to "resolve" the issue. I spent $615.98 on the product including shipping but I am only getting refunded $100+.Desired Settlement: I would like an exchange with all shipping expenses paid by rockauto.

On the order confirmation we sent to the customer (see attachment),

we stated: PLEASE UNWRAP AND INSPECT ALL PARTS FOR DAMAGE

BEFORE SIGNING for truck freight shipments. It is

difficult to obtain compensation for damage after you have accepted

the shipment. As the customer explains, he signed for the

shipment without unwrapping and inspecting for damage.

When he reported damage after signing, we assisted him with a

concealed damage claim with the carrier and let him know it can take

several weeks for the carrier to reach a resolution. We received all

necessary information (repair estimate, photos of damage) from the

customer on 9/3/14. We refunded him on 11/26/14 when the claims

process was complete in the amount the carrier awarded for the claim

($162.60). Considering the customer did not follow the instructions

we sent, no additional refund or exchange will be provided beyond

what the carrier refunded.

I have done business with them for 4 years now and I hope they will continue to serve the on-line community with very competitive auto repair part prices. I've also found them to very cooperative in returning unwanted items within their return policy. I'm satisfied.

This company is very dishonest. They refuse to honor their return policy. The items they send you are of low quality and inferior grade. They use every excuse they can to deny giving you a refund. It is hard to believe in this day and age scam companies like this are still operating. Stay away from this place.

I have bought parts from Rock Auto around 10 or 12 times now and never had a problem. They almost always beat the prices of my local (major chain) part stores by a lot. (Even after shipping cost) If you need parts but can wait a few days to a week for them to arrive then Rock Auto is the way to go!

Placed an order. After waiting five days to receive my order it turned out to be the wrong item. Complete different size and for a different vehicle. Due to the companys lack of attention to detail, and the HUGE inconvenience they caused my family and I one would think they would do fix the issue ASAP. Well unfortunately for us we had to wait another 7 days to receive our order.
Manager was completely rude and should NOT be working in customer service. His exact words to me after asking why they shouldnt be responsible for overnight shipping was.. "Did you pay for overnight shipping?" I answered No he then said "Then we can not send it overnight?
Sad that a company does not take responsibility for their mistakes.

I looked for a grill for my olds ciera which is no longer a gm product, their prices are GREAT and when I had a question their people were very helpful. I will recommend them to anyone getting parts for their cars.

Buyer beware. They sell used and damaged parts advertised as new. Their customer service is non existant. Their catalog do not 100% guarantee compatibily. Their response " we do not garuantee as there are multiple aftermarket vendors" then why list it on the catalog that it fits. I gave them benefit of doubt too many times. They are inconsistent and unreliable.

I'm from [redacted] my younger brother told me about this site RockAuto. They had the part I looking for at more than half the price as all others with a fair shipping cost. I'm so happy I will be coming back for so much more. Can't wait to spread the word!

It is much easier to order from you because of your format. I look for the year make model engine size and then the category. Others are so clumsy and time consuming!

RockAuto has revived a used car I bought, and has saved me countless dollars on parts. Fast shipping, and seem to always have everything I need. RockAuto Rocks!

I like it, I can go on line anytime find the part and order it and have in two or three days. the prices are reasonable.
