Just a stall tactic that they use. They have been fighting the [redacted] bill since March but now they can't find the order. #XXXXXX bought from [redacted]. Dealership called them back as soon as the transmission was received and told them it was a bad transmission. They refused to give a return authorization. Just look there name up on the internet they have hundreds of complaints against them.

Quality would rather eat the loss and walk away than have the issue drag out through every avenue for another 8 months. It has been too long since the original credit card charge to refund, so a check by mail will have to be issued. Customer can contact [redacted]@qualityautoparts.com to finalize details.

This was my first time using this company and they were better than I expected.
The item I purchased was better than I expected and it was delivered on time.
Great to do business with.

Like a fool, I backed into a tree when visiting a park in Vermont, breaking a light. My 1998 Oldsmobile is obsolete and I had trouble finding a replacement to keep my state inspection sticker current. Quality Auto Parts got me the light quickly and at a fair price. So thanks! Recommended!

I am rejecting this response...

because: As a result of [redacted] Parts([redacted]) misleading activities. I am now encoring storage cost for the vehicle that that I purchased the Hood/hinges for. I now have to start my search over because they will not provide the hood that promised. They have indicated that they have and provided pictures of a satisfactory hood. They are indicating that the Hinges are not available, but I have found them to be readily available on line. The actions of [redacted] and [redacted] have been questionable to say the least. I would like to speak with someone in a position of authority with this company.

The customer was QUOTED on 8/23 and the order was an official SALE on 8/26. This order was for a 1982 Volkswagen Rabbit rear bumper assembly...a very difficult part to source. Although Quality had parts in stock, locating one in...

acceptable condition was difficult. Pictures had to be acquired from various warehouses. The customer had been updated throughout the process, but became frustrated and canceled the order. The credit card was refunded for the full sale amount on 9/10/14 and the issue is closed.

Quality Auto Parts sources used OEM parts from outside suppliers, and because of that works on a real-time inventory.
Simply stated, "here today gone tomorrow." A part available at the time of the call must then be pulled from a vehicle...

and tested. Every so often the part is either found to be incorrect or did not pass * quality check. In this case the original part sourced was not available because of one of these issues and there was not another part available that met the criteria.
Quality regrets any inconvenience caused to the customer.

The replacement part is scheduled to deliver on 3/29 via UPS [redacted]
