Re: Order [redacted] Hello,
It would appear USPS lost the original payment we apologize
for this inconvenience and have been in communication with customer.
Bank of America Check #69918 was originally mailed via USPS 1st Class on
01/21/2015 to the PO Box address provided. This past week...

customer contacted us for non receipt and we responded.  We offered an
immediate [redacted] payment otherwise, a check could be reissued after 30
days. [redacted] provides instant funds to customer and allows us to recover
if the original payment is subsequently received. This option was
declined and order [redacted] was marked for a new check on 02/23/2015. We require 30 days to allow USPS sufficient time to
deliver or return the original check. At this point, we have stopped
payment on Bank of America Check #[redacted]. A new payment was just mailed
via USPS with additional tracking service to confirm receipt. Simply
Sellular truly appreciates your business and patience on this
transaction.

Review: will be notifying the Revdex.com if California momentarily Sent from my Galaxy SIII -------- Original message -------- From: Simply Sellular Support Date:04/25/2014 1:46 PM (GMT-05:00) To: [redacted] Subject: Re: order number [redacted] Hello [redacted], Below is the detailed breakdown of the phones you sent us for order #[redacted]. 1. Apple iPhone 4 (CDMA) 8GB- Your phone was ineligible for payment due to a cracked screen/cracked back. Unfortunately, phones must be fully functional and not broken/damage in anyway in order to qualify for payment. Your order shows that you had originally indicated the phone to be in fair condition. Fair condition states the following, "Fair condition (50 percent): Phone is in fair cosmetic condition. Phone is fully functional (powers on, makes and receives calls, has no water damage) but shows significant signs of use, including significant wear, scuffs, and scratches.". Unfortunately, this phone does not qualify as a fair condition phone due to the cosmetic damage. 2. Blackberry 8530- Phone is ineligible for payment because it is not a model we purchase (not a model that was listed on our buy-list). Different Model Received: The model we received was a Blackberry 8530 which we don't pay anything for. When you placed the order you listed a Blackberry 8520 Curve (manufactured only or AT&T and T-Mobile) which we do pay for. We apologize for any confusion... If you'd like to check the model we have provide the phone's [redacted] to verify this information with previous service provider. 3. LG VN271 Extravert- Phone is for use with a prepaid carrier. As stated in our terms and conditions (www.simplysellular.com/conditions.php), Simply Sellular does not purchase prepaid phones or any other prepaid carriers along with many other listed carriers. Different Model Received: The model we received was a LG VN271 Extravert which we don't pay anything for. When you placed the order you listed a LG Cosmos 3 (display picture on website shows a different model) which we do pay for. We apologize for any confusion... If you'd like to check the model we have provide the phone's [redacted] to verify this information with previous service provider. Check your order status 24 hours a day: You can see the same information that we have 24 hours a day. Please visit [redacted] to check your order status online. Simply enter your order number and it will show all the phones received and their current status. In addition, you should have an email for every phone we log in which is automatically sent when we receive the phone. Hope this is helpful.... The reason why we ask to be reimbursed $10 for shipping is to cover our cost of sending you envelopes, cost of shipping fees to have phones mailed in to us, and expenses in having personnel log and test the phones. Only to return the phone for free? We lose money when a phone is returned, we feel that $10 is fair to reimburse us the cost of shipping fees/shipping supplies. The $10 will cover the safe return of your phone through UPS with insurance and tracking. If you wish to check with UPS the cost of shipping, our zip code is 92708. We apologize for the inconvenience. On 4/24/2014 11:15 AM, [redacted] wrote: Hello, I need your help. I sent 3 phones in and was expecting a check for $52.50. I received notification that you will not being sending me anything back. I am really really upset. The IPHONE 4 was cracked on the back, NOT the front as your email states. The Blackberry was in fine working condition when I sent it in. I have no idea why you are not honoring it as excellent. The LG Cosmos was a phone my 8 year old daughter used for about two weeks. It was VERY lightly used and no money value to you?? Now you are asking me for money to send the phones back to me?? I am unemployed, was counting on this money for food money for me and my daughter, and now dont even have the phones to try and sell on my own. Please help immediately and issue me what is due. I will be contacting the Revdex.com of California with a formal complaint as needed Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the check for $52.50 mailed to me asap.Thank you.

Response:

Hello,

We apologize this transaction we are unable to offer payment for any of the phones. In your Revdex.com complaint you actually provided our emails to you detailing why each phone was disqualified of payment. We understand you sent the phones to us in hopes of getting paid. As well, we paid for materials and the shipping cost to get the phones you selected. However, in this case neither party received what was expected. Below you'll see the 3 phones sent followed by the reason each did not qualify for payment.

1. Apple iPhone 4 8gb (CDMA) = Phone received with crack in glass on both front and back. Phone is deemed BROKEN as shown online we pay $0. When you created the order online you had selected FAIR condition.

2. Blackberry 8530 Curve (CDMA) = Phone received is not shown on our website as we do not purchase this model. When you created the order online you selected a different model Blackberry 8520 Curve (GSM). This model we do pay for being it uses a sim card.

3. LG VN271 Extravert (CDMA) = Phone received is not shown on our website as we do not purchase this

model. When you created the order online you selected a different model

LG Cosmos 3 (CDMA).

Simply Sellular takes many steps to ensure you select the right phone and avoid any surprises. Accuracy is important as we pay for materials and shipping cost based on the information you provide us. Probably a honest mistake but, none of the phones sent meet the phones you selected when creating the order. Bottom line we appreciate your business and would hope to buy phones from you in the near future. As a courtesy we will ship the 3 phones back to you today at no charge. (USPS [redacted] Priority Mail)

Thank You!

Regards,

[redacted]TOTAL SCAM[redacted]I sent in an old Samsung flip phone. I was promised $2.00. They never sent confirmation of receipt of the phone. I checked status online and they are reporting the phone to have water damage and not functional. They say they will "recycle" the phone. I sent an email and requested that my phone be returned if they will not pay for it. I received an email saying they will return my phone to me for $10.00. Lesson learned with the cheap phone. I just received $70.00 for my Galaxy 2 from another company as promised with no drama.

Review: SimplySellular.com offered to pay me $18.00 for my used 4G LTE Samsung Victory Phone. They did not specify that is had to be a particular carrier's phone at any point during my transaction. I sent my phone to Simply Sellular. After they recevied it, I was informed that, although it was in "good" condition as I specified, I would get $0.00 for it. The reason being that it was not a valid carrier's phone (it was a Virgin Mobile phone). I requested they return the phone (even though the website made no restriction on carrier) or pay the $18.00 agreed to. They would only send my phone back if I paid for it. The shipping is not worth the phone. I have been mislead and they refuse to send my phone back or pay me the $18.00 for my phone.Desired Settlement: Complete the transaction as initially agreed (Simply Sellular to send me a check for $18.00 for my phone).

Review: I went to the company's website in hopes of getting rid of my old phone and was promised a check for the phone. I sent the company my information and mailed my phone to them on January 12, 2015 and received an email from them on January 20, 2015 confirming they had received my phone and that it would be undergoing testing. On January 28, 2015 I received an email from them saying that my phone was in "good" condition and that a check of $33.75 would be sent to my address in 2 business days. I have yet to receive said check and the company has failed to properly resolve the issue after contacting them through email.Desired Settlement: At the very least I would like the money they had promised, otherwise I would desire that this business be dismantled for false advertising and scamming.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was in contact with them asking where the check they were supposedly sending me was at. They responded and said they would look into it. After waiting a few days I received no response from them and proceeded to respond asking if any progress had been made regarding what happened. Although I did provide a PO Box, this was only provided AFTER the company had failed to send it to the original address the first time. In regards to being offered a [redacted] payment this is false as I was never given this option and I have emails to prove it.

Hello,

A replacement check is not what you wanted? Simply Sellular issued a new

check within 4 business days of your initial email on 02/18/15. Keep in

mind we processes over 10,000 payments every month. Such high

volume we have to handle all claims systematically. Each is important

and we work very hard to address every concern. Reviewed the emails and

see we updated the address to a PO Box. Yes, original payment was mailed

to a different

address. For piece of mind and complete transparency please find the

original postage log and all email correspondence below. Although USPS

failed to deliver the original payment we are confident the new check

will be received to complete this transaction.

Thank You.

It is as if one customer does not really matter.Desired Settlement: I want Simply Sellular to go through with their word and send me a payment for the cell phones that I have sold them. Hello,

You did not reference any order number however, using your contact info did find order [redacted] created online 08/10/14 for 3 phones. Then another order [redacted] created online 08/13/14 for 1 phone. So our response will be regarding orders [redacted] and [redacted] based on your statement a total of 4 phones were sent. To date neither order has been received also very odd we have never received an email from [redacted]

Package(s) may still be in transit once phones are received we automatically email you. If you sent the phone(s) without the order slip we can search our database using a phones ESN (electronic serial number). This can be found on the original phone box or your service provider will have on file. We are happy to assist but, you must contact us. Please email [email protected] M-F, 8-5 PST we will respond quickly.

Thank you.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Simply Sellular is denying ever receiving my phones, and on another response, they denied that I ever got in touch with them via phone. Those responses are untrue. I contacted them via phone more than 10 times, and received no responses. I also mailed them the pre-paid package that they have sent me on August 14.

Review: I sent phone to them for an agreed upon price. They emailed me they reviewed phone and found the ESN number was not "cleared" by verizon as a usable phone and said I could resolve it with Verizon or they would just donate the phone and not pay me. I emailed back and got some additional info that I then took to Verizon. Verizon "cleared" the phone and I wrote back to SimplySellular with that info. After three phone calls and about seven emails in the past two weeks they have still not responded.Desired Settlement: I want the agreed on price for my phone.

Business

Response:

Re: Order [redacted]

Hello,

We reviewed this order and agree with with statement. Phone originally received ESN was not clear. Customer was notified and able to get issue resolved. Phones ESN once cleared was accepted for full payment. Check # [redacted] for $102.00 was issued on 09/24/14 and mailed USPS 1st Class to: [redacted] To date the check has not been returned to us. Typically, we will re-issue a check payment after 30 days if not cleared our account. We give this time frame as USPS on some occasions can take longer to deliver. Additionally, we pay Bank of America to stop payment on any check. Based on check issue date and being mailed from California going to New Jersey. We believe payment may still be in transit. If payment is not received shortly simply email us and we'll process a new payment. You may also want to consider our PayPal option for faster payment. We apologize for USPS delay and appreciate your business!

Review: Simply Sellular sent me an invoice per conversation with the amount for the two phones I sent to them in the postage paid envelope. I received a check for $1 which was not the original agreement, I wrote them a letter on February 16, 2014 to no avail I have not gotten a response. If they had told me they would recycle my phones at no charge then I would not have expected cash for my phones.(Samsung, Motorola Razry3)This is not fair or ethical business practice. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.Desired Settlement: Pay me the money that was stated on the invoice dated January 14, 2014 it was a total waste of time to get the postage paid envelope and take to the Post office to mail for one dollar.

Review: I was looking for a place to sell my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for the best price, and Simply Selluar seemed like a reputable company, so I sent my phone in to them for the amount of $137. I opted to be paid via [redacted] due to the site saying that the payment would be made in one day. On Sunday (December 20), I received an email from them saying that my phone had been received and I would be receiving a payment of $137 in two business days. Of course, that's different from what their website says, but I figured an extra day wouldn't hurt. It has now been THREE business days and I have NOT received my payment. I reached out to them via email and got no response. I started to research this company and I found several complaints which leads me to believe that they are trying to con me and they basically stole my phone. If I would've known this company was so dishonest, I would've sent my phone elsewhere. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'll wait until my case is resolved before I make a final judgement on this company.Desired Settlement: I would like the $137 that I was promised for my phone. Thank you.

Review: This company offers to purchase cellular devices from consumers. In early November 2013, I submitted a quote for a Dell device that was in good working condition; I had not used the phone that much, and tested the phone thoroughly before sending. The phone was charged, had a clear screen, working battery, and working camera when I sent the phone. I received a package in the mail to ship my device to the company, which I did since they offered me $30 for the phone. After about a month, I finally received an email from the company stating that the phone had been received; however they stated that the phone was broken and the company would not be paying me any money at all. I asked them to send the phone back - stating that the phone was in good working order when I sent it, but was told that I would have to pay for the shipping. Based upon my experience, I question whether this may be a scam where the company promises to pay, receives the device, and then does not pay - stating that the phone is not in good working order.Desired Settlement: I would like for this matter to be researched further by the Revdex.com in order to protect other customers, and I would like to have my phone returned to me - free of charge.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I did received payment, however it was short by $4.00. Not alot of money, but if they continue to do this to each one of their customers, they are ripping people off. I will never use this company again, and will promote anyone I know to not use them as well.

Review: On October 16, 2014, I contacted Simply Sellular on-line about selling them my BlackBerry Bold 9900 Cell Phone (ESN # [redacted]) and was given an order number of [redacted]. According to their website, they were going to send me a check in the amount of $51.00 (excellent condition) upon receipt of phone. My phone was in like new condition having a screen protector on and even the back battery cover still had the original plastic. I requested they send me a pre-paid envelope to mail them my phone using USPS. I received the envelope very quickly, on October 20, 2014 and that very same day I mailed them my phone. Simply Sellular must have log records, USPS provides tracking numbers for every package that postage is purchased for. On October 30, 2014, I e-mailed them about the status of my order/phone and they told me it can take 7-14 days transit time to arrive. Days passed, no word. On November 5, 2014, I sent them another e-mail stating the 14 days transit time is well up and I wanted verification I would be receiving my check very shortly or I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. I didn't receive a reply. I sent them another e-mail today, November 7,2011 requesting status and once again have been ignored and that is why I am filing this complaint. Maybe I am being ignored because they are too busy having to answer complaints filed with the Revdex.com! I wish I had done my homework and first investigated this company on-line because there are so many complaints against them being frauds, it is unbelievable. I really needed this money too. I am a full time care giver at home taking care of a parent with Alzheimer's so financially, I am strained. Or I would have preferred donating my phone to our soldiers. I just hate this company took my like new phone and didn't send me my money as stated.Desired Settlement: I would like them to be investigated so maybe another person like me won't be scammed out of money. It isn't fair. And I would like my $51.00 as stated.

Review: Sent in a Galaxy III S via their Fed Ex Envelope on 19 July 2014. Phone WAS from Sprint who turned off service on 29 July 2014, since I switched service, and is now not honoring offer made online of $85 for a Excellent condition phone. They REFUSE to answer phone and e-mails with me.Desired Settlement: Either give me my phone back or give me the promised upon amount for the phone and I will find a REPUTABLE vendor who will give me what it is worth..

Response:

Hello,

Regarding order [redacted] the Samsung Galaxy S III (Sprint) 16GB phone was received and ESN verified with Sprint PCS on 07/28/14. Initially, Sprint PCS reported the phone not clear for activation. We emailed our customer stating the issue and asked them to contact Sprint PCS to clear the ESN. This was quickly done per our customers email. So, the phone was pulled and detailed ESN report requested to re-verify the ESN with Sprint. We received the clear ESN report back from Sprint PCS on 08/01/14. The phone was accepted for full payment ($85) and paid via PayPal on 08/06/14. We apologize the additional time caused this complaint. Remember we process 2000+ phones every week. To avoid additional processing time please be sure your phone(s) are clear for activation before sending in for payment. In the end, the transaction was a success and we greatly appreciate [redacted]' business.

Thank You

Per e-mails from them the payment was to be made by 8 Aug 2014, now they

have come back and said payment would be made by NEXT Tuesday. These

folks do NOT seem to know what they are telling the Revdex.com and sending out

to customers via e-mail. ALl I want is the $$ that they SAY they

deposited with Paypal on 6 Aug 2014 ($85.00) for this transaction.. Is that so hard to DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU'D do?
