Review: I went on this site trying to sell an almost new samsung galaxy s3 cell phone. I got a quote and they sent me a prepaid envelope to send the phone in. I sent it in over 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. They told me the check would be sent out 3 days after they received my phone. I've called and emailed numerous times but still have not received a response back. I've look into the company and it is a scam. I am very displeased and would like my phone back.Desired Settlement: I would like my cell phone back in my possession so I can sell it elsewhere.

Response:

Hello,

We have been in correspondence regarding the phone(s) not being received for Order [redacted]. Order for Qty 2 of the SamsungGalaxy S III (Sprint) 16GB. Most recent reply we offered any assistance that is needed for USPS to investigate. We also asked for the phones ESN (electronic serial number) so we may search our database. Being more than 3 weeks package should have been received. If the phone was sent without an order sheet or any contact information. The ESN will allow us to search our entire database. The ESN is available from the original packaging or carrier can provide. Hopefully, we can locate either way and continue to process the order.

Thank You

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I sent a cell phone valued at $100 (per SimplySellular) on Friday, June 13, 2014 via USPS envelope provided by SimplySellular. Still as of today, July 7, 2014 they are claiming they have not received the product and that they did not have any type of tracking on the prepaid envelope they sent me. I have asked multiple times for the tracking number that is provided by the USPS for every package they ship out and they are continuously telling me that there is no tracking number, that I have to wait for it to be delivered. I know for a fact that the USPS provides tracking numbers for every package that postage is purchased for.Desired Settlement: I want the projected price given to me by the SimplySellular website to be paid out due to their negligence on tracking/insurance of the packages that they are providing prepaid envelopes for.

Re: Order [redacted]

Hello,

We have been in correspondence with [redacted] who is also a return customer. Last email sent to her we apologized and understand her frustration but, to date the phone has not been received. If you think you shipped to us without any order slip please, provide the phones ESN so we may search our database. We also asked for tracking information because, the FedEx label we

provided does not show being used. If our Business Reply Mailer was used they take on average 7-14 days transit per USPS. We will continue to search for the package and if you can provide any additional information it will help. We'll gladly expedite the payment process once the phone is received.

Thank You.

I sent in my phones with the FedEx label they provided via email. In which they where quick to respond with. I emailed them when the package was delivered. they told me it could take 2 days to test. This was not told to me when I decided to send my phones to them. But I let it go. After the 2 days they told me one of my phones was broken, which I know it was not I charged it and deleted the content from it before I shipped it, but I let that go, then they told me the other phone was in great shape and they would give the entire $65.00 amount for it, but here it comes. It would be 10 days before payment would be issued. This is not what I was told. I was told it would only take 2 days from the time testing was complete. I emailed them to make sure they were going to pay me via paypal like they suggested would be the quickest, and have received no answer. They should not advertise that it will only take 2 days via paypal to get paid if that is not the case. They should straight up advertise they are going to pay in 10days not hide it in the back ground of a tab on the website. On the front page it is advertised 2 days pay via paypal. This is why I chose them. If I had known that was just a ploy to get my phone I would have sold it to Best buy for the $50.00. As of today still not email and still no funds. I have read the other reviews and other complaints. To me this business is a fraud and should be closed down. They seem like all they do is lie on the site to make your deal sound good but once they get your phones, they become silent and no longer know who or what you are. This is not a business it is a fraud to get your phones. They should be removed as a good vendor to do business with. The reviews they have on their website Im sure they wrote and placed there. I am turning them in to the California State fraud board for an investigation on their businesses. They are a cyber fraud site and feed on people by advertising the best price possible and 2 day pay via paypal. In which it is all lies.

Review: Simply Sellular stated they would pay me $108 for my cell phone that was in excellent condition. They received it and then stated they would pay $18. I have emailed them and called them multiple times with no answer and they have not returned my cell phone after I emailed them and demanded it back.Desired Settlement: I want my phone back or the agreed upon $108.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: I contacted this company concerning selling my 1 year old cell phones (2 each). I followed their instructions and sent the phones to the address provided. After about a week they confirmed they had received the phones and were in the process of testing them. About another week past and I received an email stating they had past their in house testing process and would process a check for $70.00 ($35.00 each} and the check would be mailed in the next round of payments. About a month and a half past without payment so I contacted them via email to inquire where the check was. Their first response was that the check was mailed to my address on December 28, 2014. I responded by stating I never received such check. The next email I received stated they did not accept non-domestic phones.

I responded stating I could have sold them myself. They offered to return my phones at my expense. I said no.Desired Settlement: I need to receive the $70.00 they promised for selling my 2 cell phones to them.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I never received such emails until February 4, 2015 after they accepted my phones and stated I would receive $70.00 (2 x $35.00). They need to adhere to their original determination and send me a check for $70.00

Business

Response:

Hello,Unfortunately the phones sent did not qualify for payment as outlined in the conditions of sale. This may have been missed or overlooked that is why the phones were returned free of charge to resolve the transaction. We apologize the phones did not qualify for payment and hope you'll keep us in mind for the future. Thank You

Review: I went to Simply Sellular’s web site. It will allow you to find your telephone. I found my telephone. It told me that they will pay 180 dollars to me if the telephone was in excellent condition `130 dollars if the telephone was in good condition and 90 dollars if the telephone was in fair condition. After they got the telephone they stated that the phone was in good condition not in excellent condition and they will offer me 52 dollars. I told them it was no deal and I wanted my telephone back more than three times. They sent me a check for 52 dollars and now I am sending it back.Desired Settlement: I want my cell telephone back

Business

Response:

Hello,

OK,

we found the order [redacted] and the phone was received and approved.

However, the model we received was a Samsung Galaxy S III (GSM) 16GB which we pay $70 for in Excellent or $52.50 in Good condition. When you placed the order you listed a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (GSM) which we do pay $180 for in Excellent and $135 in Good condition. We apologize for any confusion however, a picture is shown when creating orders online to help avoid this. Apart from a huge difference in size the Galaxy S3 does not have a stylus. If you'd like to check the model we have provide the phone's ESN

[redacted] to verify this information with your previous service

provider. You asked to have the phone returned and we are happy to honor the request. Simply need the check which was mailed to you on 09/24/14 returned.

Thank You

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I disagree with the Businesses explanation. I want my telephone back. I immediately wrote them and let them know I did not agree with the price and the web site stated 180 dollars. I told them to send my telephone back. Why did they mail out the check ? As soon as got the check for $52.00, I mailed the check back to them immediately with-in one hour and provided the UPS tracking number [redacted] I sent the requested 5 dollars through automatic bill payment service provided by my bank I have not received my Cell telephone at this time.

Review: I sent my cell phone for cash to Simply Sellular. I got a confirmation from USPS that the phone was delivered on December 17 and yet they tell me that they haven't received it yet to log it into their system.Desired Settlement: I am expecting the payment from Simply Sellular.

Hello,

Sent in a Droid 4 for an agreed upon sell price of $12. Tested the phone before it left my possession and it worked fine. Was told after a week and a half of receiving the device that it does not work (even though I tested it before it left) and was told that it was going to be recycled on my behalf. DO NOT send you cellphones to these people!!!

Review: Order # [redacted]. I sent them my 3 cell phones for them to purchase. They said the received them BROKEN. They were in PERFECT condition when I mailed them IN the envelope they provided for shipping. I had them professionally cleared out from any personal information. All worked..all in good condition..Desired Settlement: I want my 3 phones back.

Response:

Hello,

We received order [redacted] and immediately notified the customer all 3 phones did not qualify for payment. Customer placed order to sell us 3 GSM models. However, all 3 phones were CDMA models specifically US Cellular phones. We do not purchase US Cellular phones the first step when placing an order with us is selecting your carrier. US Cellular is not shown to avoid this very thing from happening but, we rely on the customer knowing their carrier name and being honest when creating the order. To resolve Simply Sellular has shipped all 3 phones back via UPS Ground [redacted].

Thank You

Review: Simply Selluar advertised they would pay $33.25 for my 3 Blackberries. They discounted to .75 because of issues they did not disclose. They worked perfectly fine and charged up.

If they cannot pay the price (you promised $33.25 and published please return the units to me)

If you don't pay the price promised - or return the units - I will report you to the Revdex.com and [redacted] and [redacted].

I asked they not deposit .75 through my [redacted] account. I will not agree to those terms.

They deposited it anyway with no return call or explanation.

Thank you and call if you have questions. 405-[redacted]

I called your office 714-[redacted] and left a message.Desired Settlement: Pay the $33.25 or return the three Blackberries to me.

Thank you,

Response:

Hello,Customer contacted us and was emailed order information. Did find order [redacted] and 3 Blackberry phones were received.

However, the 1st model we received was a 9650 Bold which we

pay $1 for. When you placed the order you listed a 9780 Bold which we pay a lot more for. The 2nd model we received was a 9330 Curve which we do not purchase. When you placed the order you listed a 9300 Curve which we also pay for. The 3rd model we received was a 8330 Curve which we do not purchase. When you placed the order you listed a 9315 Curve which again we pay for. We paid the shipping based on receiving the phones you selected but, all 3 phones were selected incorrectly. Intentional or not it costs us material, personnel, shipping and now reputation. Hope this provides some insight to order [redacted]. We have shipped the 3 phones back at no cost to resolve. Thank You.

Hello [redacted],I received them yesterday. I will mail you a check for the postage. Revdex.com I withdraw my complaint. Thank you.

I sent them a phone and they claimed to put $100 in my PayPal account. The money was never deposited and now they are saying I have not claimed the money. WHAT A SCAM!

Review: On January 3, I agreed to send my Blackberry Torch 9800 into Simply Sellular for an esitmated value of $25 to be deposited into my Paypal account. The phone was received by Simply Sellular on January 9 and was being tested and I received en email saying that when testing was complete, I would receive payment. Testing was complete on January 14. I called on January 21 to see why payment hadn't been received; there was no answer so I left a message and then emailed customer service as stated in the voicemail message. No one responded. I called again on 1/31 and emailed since payment still has not been received and no one has contacted me. All calls were made during Pacific Standard time, however no one is ever available to answer or return phone calls. No one replies to emails either.Desired Settlement: I would like the $25 for the phone they received in excellent condition via check or payppal deposit.

Hello,

We received the phone on 01/09/14 processed and completed testing on 01/14/14. Our system is automated and appears this payment was not processed. Over 10,000 orders a month we seldom experience an issue however, this PayPal payment was not sent on time. We received an email from our customer regarding this matter on 01/31/14. We confirmed the payment issue and had accounting manually process. A full payment of $25.00 was issued via PayPal on 02/11/14. Our Tech is working to correct the issue to avoid this on future orders. We apologize for the delay and appreciate the business.

Thanks You.

Sent them a phone I NEVER used before. They offered me a fair amount so I sent the phone in. A week later they emailed me saying the phone doesn't power on! Yet it was fully charged when I sent it from one state over. After reading other reviews I'm not going to send them the $10 it cost to return the phone because I probably won't get it.

Review: I recently just sent my Blackberry 9310 to this phone company in order to seek payment for it. It was two or three weeks later that I noticed that I had not heard from them about my phone. Well, I emailed them and they said they did not receive my phone but a day later that they had received it. They then said that my phone was in broken condition when it was not. I sent my phone off in perfect condition to this company. They then went on to say that they do not accept my carrier. Well on the websites advertising page they do not make this clear of what they accept or what they do not accept. I asked for my phone to be sent back due to what all has transpired, and they then tried to charge me a $10 sending fee. I refused to pay due to I made a deal to send my phone in perfect condition and seek some sort of payment but never received it since guidelines were never given to what phone carriers they accept.Desired Settlement: I would like for my phone to be sent back to me in perfect condition.

Hello,

We received the Blackberry 9310 Curve on 01/23/14 and emailed customer that same day. The phone sent to us is a Boost Mobile CDMA model. We do not purchase Boost Mobile CDMA as stated online. We take great measures to avoid this from happening being a loss. Being we pay for materials and shipping fee's for a phone model we do not purchase. As a courtesy we will ship the phone back via USPS # 94[redacted]9 at no charge to resolve.

Thank You.

Review: I sold a phone to this company to this company for $180.00. I have continuously checked the status which now states they issued my money for the phone via Paypal on June 21, 2014. However, they issued it to the wrong Paypal address, and I emailed them with the correct email address, and they said they would re-issue the money to be sent via Paypal today 6/23/2014, but I have yet to receive it. I have sent two emails, and one of them states that I want to have my money issued to my Paypal account by the close of the business day, but I have still yet to receive the money. I am very agitated with this company, and will never do business with them again. When money is issued via Paypal, it goes into my account immediately, and I should not have to wait for the funds, or if they would have sent them on June 21, they would be in my account.Desired Settlement: I would like the $180.00 that I am owed to be placed into my Paypal account immediately.

Response:

Hello,

We received the Motorola Moto X 16GB (Sprint) phone on 06/17/14. Phone was tested and accepted for full payment $180. PayPal payment option was selected and scheduled for automatic payment on 06/23/14. However, customer emailed requesting to change their PayPal payment account. We confirmed the change request and received a following email demanding payment. However, making a change will delay payment as the payment now has to be manually processed by accounting. Full payment was issued on 06/25/14 via PayPal to the account requested. Simply Sellular works very hard to process all orders quickly. To avoid delay please double check contact information when placing order(s). We greatly appreciate your business and hope you use our service again in the near future.

Thank You.

Review: I mailed an Iphone 4 ATT 16GB to SimplySellular since this company buys old phones. This phone was working. It even had carbon fiber on it for protection. I received an email from this company today 1/04 and this is what they responded--

We are unable to pay for the Apple iPhone 4 (ATT) 16GB that you sent in order number 181465. The detailed problem with the phone is: damage to frame Unfortunately we cannot pay for the phone according to our conditions(www.simplysellular.com/conditions.php), but we will recycle the phone for you. If this is okay then there is no need to respond as we will automatically recycle the phone. Please respond to this email within 2 business days. Thank you!Desired Settlement: Either they damaged the phone when removing the carbon fiber or they dropped it. If so they would have to pay for the phone value. I even received an email form them dated Dec 30-

Review: I mailed a cell phone to the business with the agreement that I would be paid $148 to my PayPal account upon successful testing. Per their website, the phone was received and tested on September 30th. I have not received any further information and payment has not been made. I have attempted to contact the company several times via their support email (no phone # is listed on their website) with no response. I sent a final email on 10/12/2014 requesting they either send me payment as the written agreement I have indicated or return my phone by mail.Desired Settlement: I require either a credit of $148 as indicated on their written letter to me or the immediate return of my phone.

Hello,

Order [redacted] for a SamsungGalaxy S4 mini (ATT/T-Mobile) phone was received 09/29/14. Simply Sellular typically processes orders in just a few days for payment. Unfortunately on this order processing time was longer than normal. The automated payment was not sent once determined accounting manually sent payment as customer requested via PayPal. Full payment $148 was issued this past week. Again, we apologize for the delay and greatly appreciate your business.

Review: I sold a LG spectrum 2 phone to them. I sent the phone out September 18,2014. I was promised $41.00. I have yet to receive payment for my phone.Desired Settlement: I want $41.00 like I was promised

Business

Response:

Hello,

Order [redacted] was placed online 09/17/14 we sent the return package to

customer on 09/18/14 from California. Likely sent the phone off around

09/24/14 based our experience with postal transit times. We know it

takes an average 10-14 days for USPS Business Reply Mail to reach our

facility. We are waiting for the phone to arrive and payment of $41 is

set for the LG Spectrum 2. To date we have not logged any phones under

Order [redacted]. Could be USPS simply taking longer than normal. If by

chance the phone was sent and received without any order slip or contact

information are logged in by the ESN (electronic serial number). We

can search our entire inventory for your phone by the ESN. The ESN is a

unique barcode number each phone gets from the manufacturer and is the

same number we use to log phones received. You can find the ESN on the

phone's original box or you can also contact your previous service

provider and they will provide to you on request. Provide the ESN to us

and we can search for the phone… Thanks!
