Skin Optics Reviews (90)

I signed up for a sample product of their face and eye cream for $4.95 and $5.95 respectively. I never received the samples however received two bottles which included the face and eye cream. I was not aware these were not the samples, thus used them. Not only was the product not good, I was charged $89.95 and $86.96. I have since cancelled this product and was informed that the small print explains they send you the products and if you don't cancel it before this you are charged. This company is trying to scam people into thinking you are only paying for samples, which conveniently they send emails showing this cost but did not send an email with the full price they charged me, it was only in review of my bank records I noticed this. Further I never even received the samples thus misleading me to believe the product I received was the sample. Please do not sign up for this you will likely at least loss about $200.00 and more if you don't track your bank records regularly. Further the product only made my skin very dry, which led to breakouts. I learned the hard way please use my experience to avoid buying anything from this company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is a "Bait and Switch" scam that affects thousands of unsuspecting victims.  When you sign up for the "trial/sample" product, you agree ONLY to pay for shipping and do NOT AUTHORIZE an automatic billing and shipping of the sample product.  The product  doesn't work.  I asked if I was supposed to return the sample and was told "no".  I was just supposed to let them know to cancel authorization to bill and auto ship.  This was absolutely NOT made evident at the time I authorized SHIPPING for the sample.
This operation has been scamming innocent victims since at least 2014.  They've been the recipients of hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars from innocent victims and their hard-earned money.  Why are they able to continue doing business and dupe consumers?  Aren't there laws to prevent such fraudulent business practices?  This is THEFT!
I want them to STOP victimizing innocent consumers.  I've reached out to the Revdex.com to help prevent others from being hurt financially from these crooks!
Revdex.com, please help stop these swindlers from subjecting innocent people into their spider's web.  PLEASE!

This is a scam. They offer a free trial, indicate the $5.95 is all you pay, then bill your credit card for $80-90! They sent two orders in one month and only refunded 50% of one order (maybe.) Their terms of agreement were nowhere to be found on the order. This company should be put out of business.

This is a total scam and deceptive advertising. The Skin Optics FREE TRIAL is included in the "Agree that you are over 18 box", which you have to select. You don't have a full 14 days from the time the product is received, to actually try the product and see if it works. You get no information included with the product regarding the order or reorder process. I also ordered the Eyessentials FREE TRIAL, at the same time unfortunately! You do not you get an email confirmation either. When I saw the $89.95 & $86.95 charges on my checking account, I immediately called the number that was listed and cancelled both products. They refused to refund my money. I have contacted my bank to get the charges reversed.

This company is a total SCAM! Thy actually operate under 2 different companies. They make you believe you are purchasing a single item, when in reality, they have scammed you into a monthly program. I canceled before the next month, but I didn't know they scammed me into 2 different company products. There's Sin Optics, and Skin Optics Eye Cream. Customer service is extremely rude. It's really sad that a company would choose to operate this way. Obviously their product is inferior if they have to scam people into buying it.
