*** *** *** Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer *** ***. Providing reliable and low cost home security has been a
Slomin's hallmark since *** *** has been a Slomin’s customer since 2010. Slomin's takes its responsibilities to its customers very seriously and endeavors to achieve superior customer relations. *** *** contacted Slomin’s in December with interest in additional equipment to his alarm system. On 12/**/*** *** called to inquire about the ability to control his alarm remotely. Slomin’s representative Danielle informed *** *** of the device installation cost of $and an additional $monthly cost to be added to the monitoring bill. Shortly after on 12/**/2014, *** *** contacted our office with interest in getting his alarm system upgraded. *** *** met and signed with Slomin’s consultant *** on 1/**/for a new five year monitoring agreement to receive Slomin’s free alarm upgrade package. *** *** signed to receive Slomin’s new Gig System which included one touch screen keypad, one additional standard keypad, one smoke/heat detector, one basic camera with a wireless access point, and one take over switch to incorporate his existing hardwired system. The Basic camera *** *** was to receive would have given *** *** the ability to remotely view a specific area of the home. This service requires an additional $monthly cost for monitoring. On 1/**/2015, Slomin’s performed the upgrade to *** ***’s alarm system. During the install, a discussion with *** *** and our technician was had regarding the second keypad. *** *** wanted a second touchscreen keypad at no cost and not the basic keypad indicated on his agreement. An arrangement was made to install the second touch screen keypad in lieu of the camera and wireless access point with no additional cost. Shortly after Slomin’s completed the upgrade at *** ***’s home, *** *** contacted our office regarding the remote keypad access to control their alarm system. Because the ***’s upgraded their alarm system there was no longer a need to have the device that they were quoted $for in December but there would still be an additional $per month for access to this serviceSince the ***’s chose not to have the basic camera installed for remote viewing capabilities, their monthly monitoring cost would have remained at $as indicated on their installation agreement. The ***’s wanted this access to be added to their account at no cost which they were advised we could not do Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention, and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. However, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention. **and **sare currently paying $per month for their alarm monitoring service. This amount is $less than the amount indicated on their agreement because they declined the additional monitoring services. Should the ***’s decide they would like to have the remote keypad access added to their account, they can do so at any time but they will be required to pay the additional $per month for the service. If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely, *** *** *** ***Slomin’s Inc

December **, 2014 The Revdex.com** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** Complaint ID: *** Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer *** ***. On 12/**/Slomin’s visited *** ***’s home for emergency
service to her heating system. Upon our technicians arrival he discovered a leak in her hot water heater. *** *** was quoted $to replace itNo decision was made by *** *** at that time On 12/**/2014, *** *** contacted our office to inform us that her hot water heater was still under manufacturer’s warranty. After learning this information Slomin’s began the process in order for *** *** to get the new hot water heater at no cost which included getting necessary photos of unit and proof of purchase from *** *** because Slomin’s was not the original installer of the unit. When all of the proper documents and photos were collected Slomin’s then had to submit it to warranty company and wait to be given a claim number. Following the receipt of the claim number, Slomin’s was then able to order the equipment under the warranty. *** ***’s warranty is supplied by a manufacturer that Slomin’s does not carry therefore we had to wait for the item to be shipped to us. Once the new hot water heater was received we scheduled and performed the installation for *** *** on 12/**/2014. Slomin’s is a family owned and operated company that has been in the business of taking care of homeowners since 1923. Slomin's takes its responsibilities to its customers very seriously and endeavors to achieve superior customer relations. Unfortunately there are procedures that we must follow in order for *** *** to take advantage of her warranty coverage and the process is totally beyond Slomin’s control Slomin’s would never intentionally prolong a situation unnecessarily and we do apologize for any inconvenience *** *** feels we may have caused. If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely, *** *** *** ***Slomin’s Inc

*** *** *** Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the unresolved complaint of consumer *** ***. On 9/**/the ***’s accepted a new fixed price of $for one year or up to approximately delivered gallons, whichever occurred first. As the agreement states it is a fixed price and upon expiration of the agreement Slomin’s will continue to make automatic deliveries to the customer’s premises at the retail heating oil price in effect on the date of the delivery but both parties reserve the right to renegotiate the price based on prevailing market conditions. During the term of the agreement the price that is agreed upon does not go higher nor lower. As mentioned in our previous response Slomin’s position remains the same. Slomin’s is still willing to settle the ***’s obligation for $if paid by 6/**/2015. If you should have any additional questions, please contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely, *** ***

*** *** *** Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer *** *** ***. *** *** contacted our office on 10/**/
with interest in heating oil services with Slomin’s. On 10/**/*** *** met with Slomin’s consultant *** and signed with him to receive our guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $and Slomin’s Econo Pak service plan for $(Please see attached) As mentioned in both the guaranteed fixed heating oil price agreement and the Econo Pak service plan, all of customer’s heating oil requirements must be purchased from Slomin’s and is supplied under Slomin’s automatic delivery system If any new client decides they prefer not to have automatic deliveries after signing, the agreements can be cancelled within three business days without penalty. Slomin’s automatic delivery system weighs many factors. Factors include the customer’s prior usage, weather forecast, and the number of delivery vehicles available. Because *** *** just began her relationship with Slomin’s October, we do pay extra attention to new accounts as we do not have a complete delivery history to maintain a more accurate delivery scheduleOn each delivery our intent is to fill the oil tank when we estimate the customer is at approximately half. Slomin’s does try to work with its customer who request less frequent deliveries but this can cause larger amounts of oil to be delivered during the winter months. Slomin’s also allows our customer’s to request a minimum of one hundred and fifty gallons to be delivered if they choose not to have their tank filled. Doing this can cause deliveries to be made more frequent during the winter months Both these options can hinder Slomin’s automatic delivery schedule and customer must mindful of their oil levels. If they allow themselves to run out of oil they will be responsible for the cost to for service to have the boiler restarted. Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. As a full service provider, it is Slomin’s responsibility to ensure that our customers do not run dry and that the heating oil is delivered in the most efficient manner possible. Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience *** *** feels we may have caused her. Unfortunately, should *** *** decide to cancel her services with Slomin’s at this time she will be subject to an early termination fee of $499.00. the fire that occurred at his home which we were saddened to hear. *** *** signed with Slomin’s on 4/**/to receive our free security equipment installation package. In return *** *** agreed to use Slomin’s monitoring service for a period of five years. Slomin’s performed the installation at *** ***’s home on 5/**/ In June when *** *** contacted our office to inform us of the unfortunate news, there was forty seven months remaining on his sixty month monitoring agreement When *** ***’s house fire occurred because he was under obligation, in an attempt the assist with his monitoring billing Slomin’s put his account on a “special handling” status while the home was being rebuilt. Upon completion of renovations Slomin’s agreed to do an inspection to see what new equipment would be needed. *** *** was advised by Slomin’s retention department *** *** on 6/**/and Slomin’s *** *** *** *** on 6/**/2014, that the inspection will be performed at no charge but all cost associated with the installation of any new alarm equipment will be billable. Slomin’s also agreed to credit *** ***’s account for the months without the alarm system, restart his monitoring obligation/billing once the alarm was re-installed and monitoring service restored. On 1/**/2015, Slomin’s performed the inspection at *** ***’s home. All components from the previous alarm system were gone and an entire new alarm system was needed. Slomin’s consultant *** spoke with *** *** on 2/**/to discuss the cost to install the new alarm system but *** *** declined because he wanted the new system to be installed at no cost. Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention, and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. However, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention. Slomin’s is more than willing to install a new alarm system for *** ***’s home. Should *** *** decide to move forward with the alarm installation, we suggest he contact our office at his earliest convenience. *** *** *** Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer *** ***. *** *** has been a Slomin’s customer since October
for automatic oil delivery and service to his heating system. When *** *** signed with Slomin’s in 2008, he received a fixed heating oil price of $for one year or up to approximately delivered gallons, whichever occurred first. Upon expiration of that agreement, Slomin’s continued to make automatic deliveries to *** ***’s home at the posted retail price of oil on the date of delivery because *** *** chose not obtain a new fixed price As a consumer courtesy, *** ***’s account was given Slomin’s variable rate discount which varied from $to $since On 1/**/2015, *** *** contacted our office to discuss the cost per gallon for oil. At that time the posted retail rate for oil was $ During *** ***’s conversation with customer service, he was offered the option of locking in a fixed rate of $which he declined. *** *** informed our representative that he received a cheaper offer with another company and requested his account be cancelled with Slomin’s. Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention, and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. However, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention Slomin’s cannot charge any customer more than the posted retail price of oil (Please see attached *** average home heating oil prices for the Long Island region) The incentive of obtaining a fixed rate is intended to give a consumer savings off the current posted retail price of oil which *** *** chose not to do after his first year. *** *** received a delivery on 1/**/gallons at $which included the $variable applied to his account. The posted retail price at the time of *** ***’s 12/**/delivery was $3.449. Slomin’s delivered gallons at $which also reflected the $variable discount. Unfortunately *** *** declined Slomin’s fixed rate of $2.349, therefore he is not entitled to get a reduction on his two oil deliveries. *** *** ** *** Complaint ID: *** Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer *** ***. Every service call is important to us but there are service
calls that we must take as a priority over others such as customers with no heat and no hot water. These types of service calls are especially crucial during the winter months when cold temperatures can affect a person’s health.
