I disagree with the companies response, because I have provided proof that American Airlines informs me that it is there responsibility to updates us with any changes.I would like for this complaint to reflect as unresolved for lack of ethical practice from this company so that other customers don't undergo the loss and stress my family had sufferedI will also sue this company for the damages caused.Thank you, [redacted]

unfortunately when dealing with [redacted] airlines and Spirit airlinesYou put in the request Then it has to be sent over to confirm When you book online there is a delay If you were to book over the phone the agent would be able to tell you, at that time, they are unable to confirm the flights for that price or it has come back confirmed It is frustrating to us as well Your first confirmation you receive states your requested itinerary as well as your price quote It tells you there will be a second email once the tickets are issued Unfortunately in this case [redacted] Airlines was unable to confirm your requestYou are then sent the email stating we were unable to confirm It is your choice if you want to call us or you can always go back online This is why you were quoted a higher fareBecause the lower fare was not available

Revdex.com, It does not appear that this customer was charged anything from our companyI cannot find a confirmation email eitherI do see the initial reservation request email that went to this customer which clearly states in red: "Please note that reservation requests are only confirmed once the airline has issued a ticket numberA second and final email with ticket numbers will be sent to your email address within hours (up to on the weekends) indicating that a ticket has been issuedYou can monitor your reservation request on our MyReservation Page." The agents are friendly but not knowledgeable I was advised by the agent that with the ticket I purchased there would be a $charge for luggage, but I was charged $per bag by the airline I spent more on luggage than on the ticket When I called the agency to complain, I was told that I would receive a call back, but repeated attempts to contact them were ignoredThey only want your business and do not have any after service care Spend a little more and go with a more reliable company

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The manage came on the phone and told me that they have to pay the airline $1,which would be refunded to me after the cancellationI called the airline (PIA) and they said that they do not collect a refundable processing fee from the travel agencies and they did not get $1,from the SmartFaresSmartFares manager told me on the phone that the have to pay this fee to the airline but it would be refunded, an obvious misstatement that the airline deniedAlso note that I am paying approximately $for cancelling my ticketOn top of the $400, SmartFares want to keep the additional $1,they tricked me into paying themThat is a total of $1,for cancelling the ticket more than two months ahead of my travel schedule due to a serious medical emergency in the familyAny reasonable person would agree that what they are trying to do is totally unfair business practicePIA did not collect $1,from them, which the manager stated over the phoneHe also clearly stated that the airline collects and returns this feeBy the way, my daughter bought her and her daughter's ticket from Travelocity for approximately same price and promptly received the full refundI now know that I should have gone with a more reputable business but SmartFares should not be allowed to get away with this malpractice and falsifying to their customers collecting hefty cancellation feeMy reason for cancellation is readily accepted by other reputable travel agencies Regards, [redacted]
