The product was delivered missing the pillow on one section of the hot tub. It was not missing when I purchased the spa however it was missing upon delivery. The company will not return my calls.

1/21/2018 - bought hot tub at *** sale from Spa Blowout. Was told to call customer service when I wanted the hot tub to be delivered; allow 2-3 weeks notice.
1/26/2018 - called customer service to ask for 2/10 or 2/17 delivery. Was told it was 6-8 weeks lead time; but based on the promotion and the promise of the salesman that they would work to make 2/10 or 2/17 delivery.
2/3 - I made 2nd request via email; no response
2/5 - third request
2.5 - email recvd "they will let me know"
2/6 - email recvd "will know on 2/7"
2/8 heard nothing; I emailed again
2/9 heard nothing; I emailed and called customer service and sales rep; no reply

Spa Blowout Response • Feb 12, 2018

We have spoken to Mr. and advised that the sales person was misinformed, and it is always 6-8 weeks for a factory order. Regardless we are working to get his spa out to him sooner and have relayed as much to him via email and phone.

Spa Blowout Response • Feb 13, 2018

I have called and left a voice mail for the consumer to arrange delivery this Thursday evening if possible. If he cannot accept it at that time our delivery man will be back on Monday of next week to handle several local Richmond delivieries for his acceptance.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Barefoot Spas has never responded to my specific complaint. That there has been a complete disconnect and non-response when attempting to schedule the spa delivery the past two weeks.

The most recent reply is that a vmail was sent to me Wednesday @ 5:08pm that they wanted to deliver the spa on Thursday.

Prior to that vmail I had called and left messages Tuesday night, Wed @ 11am and 4:45pm.

Finally a vmail at 5:08pm I called back at 5:15pm but no answer and I left another message.

Regarding them wanting to deliver on Thursday; from day one of emails/calls/messages the delivery date was to be Saturday, 2/10 or 2/17. A weekday delivery is not acceptable. I work and am not at home.

I am getting the run around and the main issue of terrible customer service has never been even acknowledged by either *** or *** or now *** (who left message Wed @ 5:08pm).

At this time I will not accept the spa and again ask that the order be canceled and a refund issued.
Sincerely

We were sold a Swim Spa, and we were told it would be delivered and set up. Well the put it in our front driveway, because they did not have equipment to move. They sent two inadequate men to move it and it was damaged when they took off the plastic. We called so many times only to be told we were liars and we asked for the spa in the front drive way. We suffered such mental anguish, with that poor delivery, they should not be in business doing people like we were done, most of the time they don't answer the phone, and talk to you harshly like this was my fault. What a crock, never should they set a swim spa in a front yard and we had to pay a $*** fee to HOA for it being there. They never helped us, all they wanted was the money. Delivery was 4 months late and *** poor. Really bad. I hired 7 guys to attempt to move and was told the was not push able in the way the explained. I paid them and then had to pay $*** for a crane to move this 12,000 lb spa (the crain weighed it) Alos we bought a pump to pump out water as they left the spa open to elements in the driveway. Guy ***-***-*** never calls us back. were

Spa Blowout Response • Feb 12, 2018

Unfortunately, we are having issues wit the ***. Our initial crew arrived onsite to deliver and claimed they could not fit the swim spa through the fence as it did not safely fit. Our crew left the spa onsite as instructed with the ***'s blessing that we would attempt again once they removed the fence post. About a month later the post had been removed and our crew showed up again to attempt to re-position the spa. The spa was filled with water that had frozen in the winter months and was extremely heavy. The crew attempted to wait onsite for several hours to help, but in the end could not safely move the spa again. At this point *** has attempted 2 delivery's at no charge to the customer and will not send a crew out there again as they have failed to have the the spa or the site prepared for an adequate "standard" delivery. Ultimately the placement of the spa was the customers responsibility after our 2 attempts.

Purchased a spa at the *** convention center from *** - I was told by the *** representative they have local representation and if anything should go wrong they would take care of it. The heating element on my hot tub needs replacement and when I called this morning I was told they do not have local support in *** and we would "just need to call around" After contacting several spa service centers I was told they do not support a ***. I also need a new spa cover and was told "we cannot help you, you will need to look online" Once again the representative told me they have stock of everything we might need?
This company has an A+ rating at the Revdex.com and all I could see was times more complaints than not. How can they have an A+ rating with such bad reviews?

Spa Blowout Response • Feb 27, 2018

I have made contact with this customer and asked him to give me a call. I would like to try and help this customer get a positive resolution, but need them to give me a call.

The spa leaks and the main board does its own thing it turns on and off all by itself.

Spa Blowout Response

To whom it may concern,

The pumps are designed to cut on and off based on regular time intervals and the set temperature on the topside. If the customer believes that they are not functioning as designed, she can contact the dealer she purchased the spa from for additional information. They can also schedule any service call needed for the leak.

Thank you!

Spa Blowout Response

We are currently working with the ***'s to resolve this issue. From the photos we have received we believe there may be some electrical issues with the tub at this time. Until we can verify that they have the spa properly hooked up we cannot move onto the next step of troubleshooting. I have asked for voltage readings before I can move forward.

I purchased a PL8 hot tub from barefoot spas about two years ago. In that time, I have had a leak, my pillows melted, two topside panels have gone out and now a pump breaks. While barefoot did fix the two panels and inspect the leak and send new pillows, it takes me months to get any results or even any actual human contact. They sent a new topside unit, but closed my ticket without completing this repair. I have been trying to get this begun since April and it is still not completed in full. I have tried, since the beginning of Nov to contact them (8 times by phone and 7 emails) with only one reply and never any word back. By their own customer service's mouth, three tickets in the same year constitutes a "lemon" and they would replace or refund my tub. But I can't be declared a lemon if I can't file a ticket before the year is up, which I suspect is exactly why they won't answer my calls or emails. I need to file a ticket and have my tub repaired again. Since the last ticket hasn't even been fulfilled, the repairman wasn't even gone a full 24 hours before that pump broke. They only ever fix a problem if I file a Revdex.com complaint. It's absolutely ridiculous. I call every day during business hours and no one ever is there. There is always excuses. When my pillows melted, the customer service agents actually tried to state that it was my fault at first, when I am using the chemicals they provided for the hottub startup. I need to complete the original ticket from April by receiving a topside sticker. Then, I need to file a new ticket for the broken pump. And I want to speak to a manager about a refund. Get this horrible piece of trash off my property and give me my money back. Plain and simple, it is a breach of warranty, contract and I am disgusted with the poor level of customer service I have received.

Spa Blowout Response

Spoke to *** and her husband. Working with them to get the replacement part they need to address the current issues. They are filling out our warranty form to send back in.

Customer Response

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action has not yet resolved my complaint. So far, they have taken my warranty information and we scheduled a technician to come out. No parts have been mailed or sent nor has the tech even had a chance to view the new issue. Due to the past customer service issues, I am hesitant to close my complaint based on one single phone call event. In the past, the only way to get results was to file a Revdex.com complaint as I have done this time but as soon as I would close it, customer service disappeared again.

When the tub is completed timely, I will be satisfied to some extent. No one has even spoken about their "lemon" policy to me since I wrote the complaint. The agent told my husband if we wanted our money back, we would have to sue the company.

I purchased a *** in 2014 at a show sponsored by *** in *** at the *** This spa came with a 5 year warranty for parts, etc. My spa pump, which is covered under this warranty, is leaking severely and I can't use it at this time. I had a non-*** technician come to my house because I have had no response. That service call, to tell me the problem, cost me $*** I have left numerous calls to their customer service center over the last month which is more or less an answering machine. They have never returned my call. I have sent numerous emails though their website with no response. After reading numerous reviews, I can see that many other people are being ignored. I can see on their website that they are doing numerous shows around the country to sell their product. Someone needs to stop them from selling these defective products, making money and not standing by their product. Thanks so much and I hope this is resolved not only for me but all of the other customers that are essentially being victimized by ***s. For those reading this complaint, DO NOT purchase from *** or you'll be really frustrated like many of us.

Customer Response

The original purchase agreement does not have a date on it so I in this PDF file I have a copy of my credit card statement. I'm also seeing that the name of the company is Signature Productions.

Thanks for you quick response to my complaint!

Spa Blowout Response

I have spoken to the customer and asked them to fill out a warranty authorization form. Once that is complete I will send him a new pump to replace the broken one.

We bought a hot tub from barefoot spa in Jan. 2017 at a spa blowout in ***. and it leaked from day one and the second pump went out about a week later and we have called them 10 times at least and cant get the problem fixed the did send a tech out to check it in Aug. He said we need a new tub and he would let them know that. We called them back Oct. they said they had people quit and they would get on it. Called them back Nov.21 ,2017 they said they would get on it. we want them to pick this piece of crap up and refund all of our money. You should not have to wait 11 months for warranty work.

All service issues are handled by the dealer the customer purchased the spa from. We recommend the customer contact Spa Blowout at (***) ***-***. We will also reach out to them and notify them of the customer's complaint, so they can address it.

Customer has had a service tech (*** from Sapphire Specialty) come out and take a look at the spa. We have been unable to get the requested information from the tech as of 11/21. As soon as he provides us with the tub diagnosis we will help the customer resolve the mechanical issues with the tub.

June 2017 purchased ***. After a while, heater did not work. Repeatedly called customer service number for assistance, never made contact. Never was called back after leaving info. Additionally, repeatedly sent email to customer service email asking for assistance. Never got a response. Sent a letter 2 November 2017 to CEO Richard *. F requesting assistance. No response. Eventually corrected problem myself. *** pride themselves advertising great customer care. Not so. My experience counters their claim. Additionally, they take pride in quality construction. Not so. I purchased the *** unit at a spa sale Barefoot Spa had in ***. Was shown a limited amount of internal construction but they boasted quality manufacturing. Not so. Remedying the heater problem I had required me to look at my spa internally. Not a quality sight. When taking the panels to access the internal parts of the spa, the metal screw were of inferior metal and only good for extracting once as the head would strip easily. Overall, I feel I made a mistake in purchasing a product they said was a quality product with excellent customer service. ( I wanted information on warranty but never received. Maybe no warranty...although I was told there was) Although there are some good reviews (self generated?), those endeavoring to purchase a product from *** beware.

We bought a brand new spa, touted as the top of the line. In the month and half or so of owning it, we have had issues with it. Their customer service is virtually non-existent. Trying to reach a person is next to impossible, no return phone calls, no return emails. There are numerous complaints similar to ours on this site. We sincerely believe this company is a total scam. We failed to do our research on this company and now feel like so many other victims out there. We have filed a complaint also with the company Barefoot Spa financed this through for us. The spa keeps shutting off & dropping 10-15 degrees. They tell us to re-set it. We do, and it just keeps doing the same thing. The rubber pillow seems to be melting into the water, so we removed it. No one has called back regarding that issue. The company seems to blame the consumer on every problem that arises according to the complaints I have read. The co. does not stand behind their product, which lead us to believe it is a complete scam.

Spa Blowout Response

Called business spoke with Mr. G he stated that he spoke with Mr. Jr on December 5, 2017 letting him know that if the pillows are melting that to many chemicals are being used. Because if the tub got hot to the point to melt the pillows the tub would catch on fire. Mr. G sent Mr. an email on December 5, 2017 with an authorization form to fill out. Once that information is received back then Mr. G will be able to get a tech scheduled to come out and look at the tub to help diagnose the issue.

We have been in contact with ***, Signature Productions & Spa Blow Out requesting delivery of *** with a deadline 11/01/17. We were told at the time we made a second payment they would be able to meet this deadline. I have been trying to contact the business almost everyday since 10/27/17 to get delivery time and information as we need to schedule a crane to set the Spa on the concrete pad.
That deadline came and went without any calls or correspondence from Barefoot to confirm delivery or change delivery date. Even though the contract says delivery and setup fee is included we have offered to go and pick up the spa. We were told that would also be possible but would need to wait on details to do so. We have paid 1/2 of the cost of the spa and will pay the balance with Delivery but we can't get a straight answer out of them. We either want a full refund or the spa delivered this week.
My husband is medically retired disabled ***. This is also needed to close on a VA loan for the new home we will be placing the spa.
Any assistance in getting this resolved this week would be greatly appreciated.

To whom it may concern:

This complaint is resolved. We delivered Mr. and Mrs. spa on Thursday, 11/16/2017.

My *** is only (2) yrs old and the impeller has broken and I need a to order a new impeller. *** has a specifically threaded impeller so I need to purchase it direct from them. I have been calling for several weeks now, morning/day/night. I have left multiple voicemail's with NO response at all. Every time I call I always get their voicemail recording on all (3) prompts; general, sales and service-tech lines. No one ever picks up or calls back. This company must have gone out of business or is a scam. They sell their hot tubs at fairgrounds all over every weekend. I am now believing this company is a scam and sells lemon spas. I even called last week and left a voicemail stating this was the last time I would leave a message with no response before I was forced to call the Revdex.com. As you can see, no call back. Please HELP. This company is ripping people off all over.

Spa Blowout Response

To whom it may concern:

We do not sell the internal components of devices such as pumps individually, we only sell the devices whole. The cost of a replacement pump is $***. However, it may be possible to purchase the impeller directly from the pump manufacturer. The name of the manufacturer, make, part number, and serial number will all be found on the label of the pump itself.

For example, if the manufacturer is ***, then you can find the impellers here: http://***.com/***.***?***=***

Another option would be to purchase the impeller from an aftermarket supplier. We recommend using

My husband and I visited the Spa Blowout Sale on Sunday, November 5th. The salesman wrote up a contract on the spa and before we finished putting our deposit down, we decided to take a night to think on it. The salesman, Edward V, assured us that it was not a problem to cancel, but the deposit would secure the tub so that it was not sold to someone else. I asked repeatedly if we could cancel and get a refund on our deposit of $*** and he assured me that we could.

That evening we discussed the hot tub purchase and decided to cancel. I texted Edward twice, called and left a message and emailed the company. The next day we were told we could have the hot tub for $*** instead of the original $***. We agreed. He sent a contract that was hand written and was not exact in description to the original. I told them to just hand write it the same and I would have no problem honoring it. The manager told me he had never had to explain a contract to anyone before, told me to be quiet because he was talking, told he I would forfeit my deposit and hung up on me. He said he would show proof that I signed the credit card receipt and my money was forfeited.

Spa Blowout Response

To whom it may concern:

This complaint is resolved. Per the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement, all sales are final; no refunds, returns or exchanges will be made. We did offer to lower the price of the spa to $*,***.. Ultimately, the offer was also declined. When we spoke with Mrs. on 11/18/2017, we agreed to release her from the purchase agreement with their understanding that they would forfeit their deposit as a non-refundable stocking fee. They agreed to the terms and we cancelled their spa order then.

Spa Blowout Response

Mr. G called stated that the handwritten contract is the second contract that was provided to the consumer after $*,*** was taken off. After that contract was written up the consumer decided she still didn't want the hot tub. The contract states no refunds, no exchanges, all sales are final. Mr. G stated that he did allow the consumer to cancel but the down payment becomes a restocking fee. No refund will be issued.

Customer Response

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As stated in the original complaint, we were assured by our salesperson, Edward V, that if we cancelled the order our deposit would be refunded. In truth, as you will see by the email attached, I did not cancel our order. They refused to provide a contract that was as detailed as the contract we were originally shown. When I sent the attached email back, I received a rude phone call stating they had never had to explain the contract before to anyone. He went over it with me, using terms that did not match the original contract. I told him I had no problem moving forward with the Hot Tub for $*,***, but to ensure that I received everything originally promised, I needed the contract to state exactly what it said originally, but with the lower price.

He finally told me to be quiet as he was talking and I needed to listen to him. He said you will forfeit your deposit of $***. When I explained, again, that we had been assured by Edward that we would get that money back, he said Edward was wrong. He said, "You will file a dispute and I will provide the credit card company with a copy of your signature showing you signed, with the words, no refunds. You will lose. I do this all the time." He then hung up on me.

I was prepared to move forward with the Hot Tub at the lower price, but after all of this, I would never do business with them, nor would I allow any friends or family to do so. The contracts are attached in the email pages and you will see that they differ enough to cause concern with what we were being provided for a lesser price. I do want to be clear that I did not break or cancel the 2nd contract. It was their choice to cancel when they refused to provide proper paperwork and then hung up on me.

As a token of our appreciation for the time Edward spent with us, I sent him a text to let him know that we didn't cancel the deal, his boss hung up on me. I didn't want him to get into trouble or loose a commission thinking I didn't want the hottub. He responded with a note to his boss, but he copied me instead. I was shocked to see this as I thought he was sincere, but when I mentioned that he had sent it to me I received back a shout of SORRY. Copies are attached of same.

This is a very unprofessional company with exceedingly poor customer service and very questionable business practices

Again, this is untrue. As stated twice before, I never cancelled the contract for the $*,***. They cancelled it when they stated they would not write up the contract in the same format and wording as the original, and then promptly hung up on me. And, once again, we were told numerous times by the salesman that our deposit would be refunded, should we cancel.

We purchased a hot tub on 4-2-17 from Marks F. After everything was done we were told they didn’t have one left at the show to delivery to but they were having another show in *** in a couple of weeks so they would send one from that show to us so it would be 2-3 before delivery. A month later I realized how much time had past and called. I spoke to *** who informed me that delivery would be contacting me. A week passed and still no word so I called again. This time she told me that it would be 2-3 months before I received my product. I told her I would have never bought a product with a delivery time so far in the future and I just wanted to cancel. She told me that I was not allowed to cancel and that all verbal agreements were not valid. She said “we do not refund or exchange”. I told that I didn’t have a product so I don’t want ax exchange and I’m requesting to cancel due to false information given to me by the salesman. She said we don’t allow that. I told her it’s not legal for them to keep my money and not give me a product and I would be filing a dispute with my credit card. She said “good luck”and hung up on me. I did file with my cc and they ultimately decided in the merchants favor because there is no delivery date deadline on my purchase agreement. I tried to contact SB several times and left numerous messages with no reply. I finally contacted the salesman who told me to contact “Bryan” through the customer service email. After more calls, I finally spoke to Bryan, who is the owner July 1 and he gave me a choice to either refund my money or upgrade my spa if I agreed to take delivery. I told him I had to speak to my husband but would call him the next day. We decide to just go head and take the product since they offered the upgrade and they were having another show in *** July 4 weekend and would send out product to that show and delivery from there. Fast forward two week later we still had no product and no communication from them.

Revdex.com:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Signature Productions regarding complaint ID.

We have filed actions against them with the *** police department and will be submitting a Small Claims Court case also. These are still pending. The company has not contacted us. We have been given several different stories. All contradict each other. From the person that I first spoke to (Bryan F) was fired. However, I was told in the beginning he was the owner. We were told we by Bryan we could have a refund if we choose and then were told that he never said this. We were told we could receive an upgrade to our hot tub if we agreed to have delivery around July 4th. Then the hot tub never showed up and then were told that Bryan never agreed to upgrade the hot tub. So since so many things were "told " to us and then gone back on we wrote a letter to Spa Blowout and requested any communication with them be in writing. We have never heard from them at all. Every outlet that have reached out to them have gotten no response (Revdex.com, ***). So we will be filing charges against them in a court of law. However, this case is NOT complete and still pending finalization.

I have escalated this case as I believe we will need to replace the customers entire purchase. I have been in contact with the Harden’s and let them know as such. Once I get the greenlight from the officers I will inform them of an ETA.

I purchased a PL8 hot tub from them in the fall of 2015 at a trade show. At the time I was ***. ***. I got married in August 2016, and my last name changed to ***. It was installed in February/March of 2016. I have been pleased with it until the last month. We discovered a leak. I have called them for the past 3 weeks almost daily and left messages on all three areas on their voicemail. I left messages as a customer, a tech and general mailbox. No one has returned my call. I called an 800 number found on the website for Spa Blowout and the gentleman that answered the phone took my name and number. That was over a week ago. I have a 5 year warranty on this hot tub. I need service to address the leak we are having and no one is responding. This is unacceptable and I would like it resolved.

My wife and I initiated a purchase of an SS13 Barefoot Spa from this company on November 12, 2016. We made a down payment and were told the spa would be delivered 6 to 8 weeks after we make full payment. On April 15th of this year, we paid the balance due. The payment was received and deposited on April 19. We have yet to receive our spa. We have attempted to contact Signature Productions numerous times over the past 6 months. Most of the time we are put on hold for 15 minutes then get a prompt to leave a message which is very, very rarely returned. When we did talk to someone we found out the spa built for us was delivered to someone else. The last time we spoke to someone (their phones go to a location in Utah) they said they were checking to see if an SS13 is available and if so they we would try and set up a delivery. They then said they would call us back. That was over a month ago. No return phone call. Letters were sent to the owner, customer service manager , and office manager asking for a full refund of our $***. The contract states no refunds but that is for customers not fulfilling the contract. Signature productions has not fulfilled their end of the contract. We have spent over a thousand dollars preparing the area for the spa and well over a hundred hours of time.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My wife and I were going to conditionally accept the offer from the Signature Productions/SpaBlowout representative, but we have not received any communications from them as of Monday, 11/27. We received the email with the attached response from the Signature Productions/Spa Blowout representative on Tuesday, 11/21. As the response indicated the representative would call us in the morning (assuming Wednesday, 11/22). I waited at the house all day on Wednesday for the call from the representative. No phone call was received. This is a reoccurring theme with Signature/SpaBlowout. Since no phone call was received, I have no way to verify the spa was shipped last week and will be delivered this week. With that said, we are going to reject the offer/resolution and insist again, that Signature Productions/SpaBlowout/Barefoot Spas return our $***. We wish a speedy response from Signature Productions/SpaBlowout/Barefoot Spas, as our next course of action will be legal action, both civil and criminal.

Sincerely

On July 22nd, 2017 my husband and I entered a Purchase Agreement with *** at the *** to purchase *** (2018 model) for the total price of $*** with the understanding/agreement that we would pay half to start production of our 2018 *** and then the remaining balance would be paid when the hot tub was ready for delivery set up. We did pay half on September 1, 2017 and were told our hot tub would take 6 to 8 weeks to produce. Since September 1st, we have called to check on the expected delivery and to ask questions about the specifics of the hot tub so we could have an electrician come install a 220 line and also have someone pour the concrete. We have NEVER heard back either via email or from our numerous phone messages on their voice mail. We constantly get voice mail and NO ONE ever calls us back. We feel scammed and want someone to call us. If the hot tub is delayed, fine, but no call is unacceptable and poor business.

In July our hot sprung a week. We contacted the company, which took over a week as they a) do not answer the phone b) do not call back. They provided service techs "in our area" which were 2 hours away from us. We got our own, who took a video of the leak, the wet end of the pump. We sent it in, they did not respond, spent a week trying to connect again, was told could not find video, resent, took another week for a call. Told video not good enough for Warranty need to have tech there then call them to get connected to pump company so they can see if it is a warranty issue. Since we could not afford a tech to come and spend a week to connect to customer service we looked into buying a pump. He learned it is a proprietary part so cant buy it. We spent another 2 weeks trying to call, no return calls when someone did, I said I want a buy the pump and she got indignant because I was upset and she said well you never said that. I would have had they ever called back. That was Sept 14th my card was charged and now on Oct 17th no pump. after posting on FB on Oct 12, got a call "we are to busy to send this week, maybe next week"

Purchased a barefoot pl7 spa and I am having an issue with it and no one will return my calls. The Issue is that it will run maybe thirty minutes, hour or maybe two day and it will make the circuit breaker kick off.

Spa Blowout Response

To whom it may concern,

We spoke with Mrs. on 11/07/2017, the date this complaint was filed. We attempted to contact the technician they hired to affect repairs on the spa to no avail. Please note: Issues such as these typically indicate that the wiring from the GFCI breaker and the spa is incorrect somehow somewhere. Due to city and county codes, customers must hire a licensed electrician to make these connects. Spa Blowout is not involved in connecting the spa to power.

We will continue to work towards a resolution for Mr. and Mrs..
