Spa Blowout Reviews (%countItem)

Our *** was delivered on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. Our licensed electrician came to finalize the hookup on Friday, October 6, 2017. He determined that there is a problem with the spa electrical unit and/or motherboard because the circuit breaker keeps popping. He and another electrician did a thorough check on the house panel and the breaker panel and could find no fault. We tried to call Customer Service at the number provided several times, but keep getting referred back to Spa Blowout, the company that sold the spa (but does not service it). We have asked to speak to technical support to be told there is no technical support. There are no dealers in the area for ***s. We spoke to other spa dealers in the area who either refused or are reluctant to service our spa as they have had problems receiving payment from ***. Essentially, we have a $*** spa that will not work and the company that sold it to us keeps referring us to the manufacturer who will not respond to our calls. We have also sent complaints through their website and *** page, but have not received any reply.

Spa Blowout Response

To whom it may concern,

Based on the description provided by the spa owner it sounds like the unit be installed incorrectly, which is common. All units pass electrical testing prior to leaving our facility.

***s does not sell directly to the consumer, and recommend that the customer contact the distributor they purchased the spa from for any questions regarding the sale or service of the spa. *** contact information is (***) ***-***.

Thank you!

Spa Blowout Response

Dear ***,

I am responding to the letter you addressed to *** at Signature Productions regarding complaint ID filed by *** on 10-10-2017. This complaint is still open. The issue the customer is experiencing with their spa is typically related to the electrical wiring for which our company is not responsible. We e-mailed Mr. and Mrs. to provide us with photographs of the wiring done by their electrician in order for us to rule out any oversight on the part of the electrician. We are currently waiting for Mr. and Mrs. to respond to our e-mail.

Please let me know if you need any more information from us at this moment.

On 9/2/17 I purchased a spa from the traveling sales group ***. After the first salesperson passed me on to “upper manangement” for the pricing agreement we settled on and agreed upon $*** (+$*** doc fee). I placed $*** down on the sale, signed electronically the agreement (which was emailed to me later that day) the agreement provided no way to print the sales agreement so I took a screenshot of it for my records. 9 days later I checked my financing account. (Synchrony as provided by spa blow out) and found the amount spa blow out charged was $*** higher AND an additional $*** activation fee I was not told about. I immediately tried to contact spa blow out but found no response from any of the numbers I was given. I eventually contacted the delivery driver who gave me the sales manager cell number, after repeated attempts to discuss- Ray M told me to send screen shots and he would handle. That was app 10/1/17 since then I have not been successful in contacting or receiving a call back once again from ANY of the numbers listed.

This case has been resolved on our end. Customer signed all of the paperwork acknowledging all costs associated with the purchase. I will happily provide a copy of the financial paperwork if it is deemed necessary.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The documents I signed were not filled out when I signed them. The document I provided showed the original agreed on price and this was what I was told at the time was all that mattered, the other documents were supposedly for warranty purposes only.

We bought a spa from this company July 7, 2017. We were suppose to receive a kit that supplied the chemicals for the spa. It was missing one of them. We have called them at least 10 times. Only once did my husband talk to a real person. She said they would send the chemicals out to us. That was 3 weeks ago. We never received them. When we call, we have to leave a message for a call back; we never receive them. Supposedly, this spa has a 10 year warranty
on it. We can't get them to send us a bottle of chemicals. We are very concerned about having a major issue and no one responding to us.
The salesman, gave us his cell phone number, but he never answers his phone, and doesn't return our calls.

Customer Response

Thank you so much for your service. Within a few days of you contacting them, they have resolved our issues.

Bought *** late Dec 2016. Early April 2017 began e-mailing and calling company because the jets/ pumps did not work right and it did not filter correctly. Went through several people and tried "phone troubleshoot". First they wanted my credit card info again to "pay" a warranty tech to come out. Wife called to challenge us paying for warranty tech and Brian F got involed (he also helped with phone diagnosis and said someone would have to come out). He was sending the info to the appropriate person to get a repair/tech set up to come out. By early Summer "Amber" or "Amanda" (can't remember because we have talked to so many people) was supposed set up tech coming out (They don't have specific repair in ***). After she did not set this up, and no one would return our calls or e-mails I personally paid for a Hot Tub tech to come out. He diagnosed the filter housing is plumbed backwards. I called Taylor at *** after no one at Barefoot would return calls or e-mails and sent her Tech photos, receipts and report. She was forwarding it to get the parts shipped for repair. Never heard back. Wife called several times, including being told we were not the only people with same issue and perhaps the name had been crossed with someone with a similar last name who also same issue. By 9/11/17 Wife was told that Amber was supposed to be diagnosing issue but she is always "out of the office". Wife was told that Taylor no longer works there. "Gus" said Whitney, Amber and Brian F would be calling us. No one did and now all of our calls go straight to voice mail. Last person actually told wife if it was them, they would find a "third party" to try and fix it (which would certainly void the warranty). Now it is almost October and we still have an empty hot tub we paid over $*** in full (no finance) that we cannot use because no one will even send us the parts

I show that we shipped out parts to this customer around 10/18/17. I do not see where we have communicated any further. I have reached out to the customer to see if they are satisfied and everything is working appropriately, they did not answer so I did leave them a voice mail.

We never received any parts. Communications ceased because Spa Blowout quit returning our calls. In fact at the end the numbers we called from our phones quit answering. I left Shawn a reply on the VM and hope to speak to him. I finally paid an outside vendor to fix the plumbing that was reversed so we could even use the spa.

Spa Blowout Response • Feb 12, 2018

We are refunding this customer the amount for the labor on the defective spa. Customer is happy.

March 27, 2017, Barefoot delivered a broken Spa. After several attempts to resolve the issue and total failure to contact Barefoot Spa I was forced to correct the problem myself. Barefoot never answers the phone or returns calls (over 32 calls). They never send a maintenance person. Six months later I have leaks (greater than three leaks) and trouble with the spa again and am experiencing the same problems with Barefoot not answering the phone or returning calls. I have managed to contact the owner Mr. Brian *** by text to cell phone and he continues to assure me that someone will call me and address the issues. He never answers the phone, just text messages.

To whom it may concern,

As the manufacturer, we do not sell directly to the customer. We recommend that the customer contact the retailer they purchased the unit from. Based on the customer's location, they purchased from Spa Blowout and their number is ***.

Thank you!

We purchased a hot tub at one of the local sales that they put on in our town. They were out of the model we purchased and had to deliver from the warehouse. It took over 2 months for us to get our hot tub.
The model we purchased was the smaller 110 AMP model and was wired into it's own circuit. It continually tripped the breaker if the heat and bubbles were run at the same time. We were told AFTER the fact that this was an issue with this model. Why sell it then? The panels started popping off like popcorn. It is not in the direct sun. It has a roof over it. Brand new hot tub, maybe used it a month, finally just drained it because it will not stay running. Been waiting over 2 months for someone to come fix it. Still haven't seen anyone. Worst customer service ever. Always excuses. Stay far far away. Spend the extra money, buy local. They have their money. You sign a contract you can't get out of for any reason at all. But here I sit with no working hot tub and nothing I can do. They win, I lose.
