*** Van Lines Moving Company, has sold me their services under pretensesI planned for a cross country move from Orlando, FL to Las Vegas, NevadaWhen booking *** I was told multiple times by the sales representative that I would be able to choose my delivery date depending on when my belongings were picked upThe sales rep said that the company needed 2-weeks to get my things from Orlando to Vegas, so my belongings were picked up July 14th and agreed to be delivered August 3rd When I called July 31st to confirm this delivery I was told something differently, that my things would not be delivered on August 3rd and that my belongings hadn’t even been loaded onto a truck to begin delivery, as of July 31stI was told I would be getting an email with confirmation of the loading next day August 1, as well as a phone call, I received neither of thoseI called in August to *** no one answeredOn August the day before my original expected arrival d

This moving company is posing as another *** Moving CompanyWhen I call the number, I either get the legitimate *** Moving Company or Spartan Van LinesThey engage in deceptive business practices - they estimated a move, then continued to increase the amount I had to give them to get my things backI believe you should look into their business practices, as I understand that I am not the only one who has gone through thisIn addition, I was frequently handed off to different moving contractors throughout the experience, resulting in erratic overages in my billingI have been unable to get anyone on the phone about this from the company

This company *** *** *** operates under the name Spartan Van Lines, which is also the name of another company that is highly reviewedThey have had their license revoked involuntarily multiple times and have other online complaints of deception
Beyond this they recently came (04/11/18) to pick up our household goodsOn the way to the vehicle they damaged the condo common area causing hundreds of dollars in damageThey movers then tried to leave without anyone noticing but a neighbor tracked them down and complainedThese same individuals in the beginning demanded that I sign all forms (to include inventory list and additional items used for packing) even though there was no way to know the final amount until they were finishedYet, they tried but failed to push me into signing stating they would not start until I signedEventually they came back and said I can sign when they actually fill out the form
I never would have used this company if they were not called Spartan

Absolutely horrible experienceThe entire move with Spartan has been a debacleIt began with a SUPER late pickup, originally scheduled for the morning of 12/29, the driver did not arrive until after 10pm on the 29th, and did not finish loading until after midnightThen, while my first available date for delivery was 1/2, I waited patientlyOn 1/I was emailed and told "Your goods are loaded on truck and en route for delivery." That never happenedAfter many inquiries about the status, and not getting any update, I was finally told "Unfortunately, I have learned that the truck which you have been loaded on is experiencing an unknown mechanical issue that is creating a delay in the deliveryIt is my understanding that another truck is needed to come and take over the shipment, and we expect for travel to ensue the day after tomorrow."On 1/I was told a new truck was supposedly finally able to arrive, and get my belongings back on to the schedule to make the deliveryFurthermo

Spartan Van Lines falsely advertised and sold their ability to deliver my household goods from NC to CT in a timeley manner Their contract stated a move from 500-miles on average takes 5-days to complete Juan F* the sales rep verbalized their ability to meet my timeframe Pick up was performed on Sept as contracted, following a phone call from Todd the company QA agent up selling is more space for our load which was housed in a 15xand 1/of a 5xstorage unit The deposit was paid as directed by the contracting sales rep There was an attempt to upsell is mattress covers on site of pick up though this was part of the agreed original quote The specified balance was paid at pickup via certified check as required by Spartan
The day after pickup correspondence was received requesting add moneys to “facilitate the delivery process” which I sent via wire transfer I also received communication from a Miss DR***’s from Spartan’s accounting departme

I scheduled a move, a small job, and it was arranged that I would not be present for pick up which I was told was fineThere was a lockbox which is easy to openBecause I could not be present I was asked to pay 2/3, $which is didThe day the movers came they said they could not open the lockbox and seemed frazzled, unable to listen to my instructionsI should mention that numerous people had used the code, the realtor had earlier in the day as had a neighborIn any event the movers left and would not return callsAttempts to speak with someone in the office lead me to voicemail or promises to have a supervisor call me backAt this stage I was only trying to establish when the movers would returnNow I have lost all faith
As an aside there was also a call the day before the scheduled pick up in which a quality assurance man called somewhat randomly to tell me that he would change the contract to reflect a discounted tariff if there were a few additional items to avoid e

This company has been miss quoting me since day oneI have been misquoted timesupon delivery a mirror broken, and it was close to am when they finished unloading, I was exhausted and the next day I realized that my *** laptop in the original box, that has all my personal passwords to ALL of my accounts is missingI am very concerned! They also brought in things I have never seen before in my life and obviously have someone's belongingsAs the movers left they insisted I pay them cash and by the time they were walking out the door they remarked "next time find a better moving company" ###-###-#### is the contact in for these two men
I believe the men who packed and reloaded a completely different truck in Chicago as I was told were the last people to see my property, ###-###-####I have been trying to get in touch with Spartan vanlines on the status of my delivery, no one would talk to me and placed me on hold for over a half an hour before dropping the call###-###-####

I hired *** *** *** to move my mother-in-law's house from *** ** up to **I live in ** and spoke with Christian M*** to reserve the move and at the time I had no idea how much stuff we would be moving verses discarding so I accepted that the quote would increase once we had the opportunity to inventory the items from *** A Quality Assurance representative (Todd J***)called me once I was in *** the day before the movers were to arrive and I meticulously went through every room of the house telling him sizes of items that were to be includedHe gave me a cubic foot range of 1,- 1,which I acceptedHe also said that it was a much bigger move than originally thought so he would send 3-guys between 10-on FridayTwo men arrived at 6PM on Friday and the quote he gave onsite was for cubic feetI accepted because at the time I had no other optionSince arriving home, I have looked up the van size of the truck that was used based on the license plate and the m
